Fear not, for I still exist, at least in the real world, but not so much here on DA. Unfortunately, drawing is not a subject that I seem to be finding time for anymore. I still draw random and sterotypical pictures when I am bored at school (*although I really should be studying), but coloring them has been an entirely different matter! (~_~)' For some reason, I can't seem to finish them up!!! Weirdly enough, I possess a ridiculously high quantity of half colored, or half drawn images lying around in my folders. It's rather tragic, to say the least.

I wish to complete them before Christmas break ends, but I have to finish up on my current commissions first before I even touch them!!! (^_^) So alas, they shall continue to poise in tranquility until their the time arrives, ... I suppose.

Another factor at hand is a direct result of the SL game that I am currently involved on. I am working really hard on acquirng a massive array of clothing articles outfits to sell in the game, which is quite time consuming as well. I've mentioned this before in the spring, but I think many have missed out on this information! (^_~) It is actually quite a fun hobby, but challenging at times because I can never quite make things the way in which I envision them or would otherwise be able to draw them. SL is a difficult tool to fiddle with! (>.< )'''''' If you've never seen SL, then it may be difficult to imagine what in the world I am talking about!!! So yes, I really really want to post some new images, but it is just taking longer than I wish! I also think that perhaps my lack of motivation for coloring my images is due to the possiblity that I may be growing tired of utilizing only traditional media. I think that maybe I will try to digitally color some images in the future! (^__^)' I am rather curious about the process involved there. Any tips on the matter would be helpful as well!!!

There's truly nothing much to say, other than this is a pointless journal entry!!! (@_@)''' .... (^_^) I'm just writing it because starring at the previous entry has grown quite tiresome!!! It's dated way back to May 23, 2007! XDDD That's so long ago!!! Not much activity on this account, right?

Aside from that strange form of reasoning, nothing else is new! As predicted, I haven't experienced any opportunities to complete new pictures this summer either. (o_0) But alas, I still have a couple of illustrations remaining from spring, so I will upload them sometime this week!!! (^_^)

I just answered everyone's email inquiries earlier this morning promising to provide more details of why I have been absent in my journal! So here it goes!!! (^__^)''' Caution: This may become lengthy, so prepare yourself!!!!

Initially, I wasn't online because of final exams at my school. In order to force myself to study for them, I had to ban myself from all possible distractions, which unfortunately included DeviantArt! XDD Believe me, it is very easy to become distracted on the internet!!! It is a major time warper!!! (@__@)''' Sure, I may intend to only be on the pc for 30 to 40 minutes or so, but that time slot can easily transform into 3-4 hours, or more!!! That's why it is better to not get on the pc at all, or else I wouldn't study at all!!! XD Which would be bad ..., very, very bad! XD I actually took my laptop and put it on the top of my closet shelf because I knew I would be too lazy to grab a stepping stool and get it back down!!! XDDD

Okay, so now school is over, and final exams have tormentuously passed, but now there is another massive, time consuming obstacle before me. It goes by the dreaded name of "A Job." No, having a job is nothing new, but the amount of hours I have to work now during the summer is! XD Not to mention the time frame in which they transpire ... Since I got laid off from my waitress job due to overstaffing, I now work at a grocery store. This is fine and everything (I actually like it better), except for the fact that I only get 8.00 USD per hour. This means I have to work forty hours per week in order to make as much money as I did working 25 hours per week as a waitress! XDD It is really annoying!!! So, that automatically cuts my free time down by a humongous quantity!!! (O____O)''''' The other problem with my new job is the time frame of the hours. It is usually 11:00 am to 8:00 pm!!! (<_< ) That basically ends up being my whole day ... XD

Then, there is this one other thing which is consuming my free time, however little of it there is. It is called digital dress making. Basically, it involves making clothes for avatars (which are the playing characters) in the online game called Second Life. Here is a link to the website [link] if anyone wants more detail on the issue. Actually, I think it classifies as more of a 3D chatroom than a game, but for some reason, it is still referred to as a game. (o_0)’ At first, I didn’t want to be involved, but my mom convinced me to help her (she makes a lot of clothes in the game too). So now, … that’s basically where all of my creative energy is going, at least for the moment. Making an outfit takes probably 6-10 hours depending on the details. That’s the time equivalency of illustrating a full colored picture!!! (^_^) (@_@)’ It is actually pretty fun though, because the outfits actually sell for real money, so it is a reasonably profitable form of art!!! Once you have one made, you can sell copies of it forever!!! Here are some examples of outfits that we’ve made (try to ignore the pixeliness, the game takes bad quality pics! XD):

There are really a lot more elements to describe, but I think this pretty much describes the bulk of why I haven’t been on DeviantArt for a while, and may actually not be online very much even into the future! Don’t worry though, I will still try to draw some pictures when I get a chance! I still love illustrating pictures more than anything else!!! (o*____*o) I actually have three more pics to upload, but they are not really all that great … (~_~)’’’’ But alas, I will still upload them sometime when the opportunity arrives! Basically, my pictures are either done in watercolor or colored pencils, but never both. I think coloring is my most favorite part of the entire illustration process! I sometimes draw the line art just so I can color it! I am hopelessly obsessed with coloring things! (@.@) Although … you can probably tell that already! I also tend to stick with specific color themes, rather than color spontaneously.

Originally, colored pencils were my first medium for coloring. As a result, all of my older drawings were done using them. On this DeviantArt gallery, those are primarily at the back of the gallery, and can be identified by the dates posted with the descriptions! I think the average date range is from 2002 to 2005 or so. The images are obviously old too because my line art had even more issues back then than it does now! I was still in middle school when I did the really old ones! XD

As for watercolor illustrations, they are mostly at the front of the gallery. (^__^) Of course, there are a few exceptions, but it really is mostly watercolor. So far, it looks like the plethora of future uploads will be in watercolor too. It’s currently my favorite medium! The dates of watercolor images are from about 2005 to the present, so hopefully that will help you in identifying them as well.

Finally, I think I should address the issue of digital arts. In short, I don’t have any uploaded to this gallery! (o.0) I actually only have one digital artwork, and it was created in Microsoft Paint during monotonous hours of boredom in school! XD I promise to upload it some day, but I don’t know when exactly! It will just be a surprise! It is actually not too bad considering what I used to draw and color it with … (<_< ) Overall though, I am really not into drawing digitally! I lost attention so fast, it’s scary! I prefer to use traditional medium instead … I guess I am just weird! (>__< )’

I really don't have enough time to complete them quickly and properly this semester! All the academic work/ labor work diminishes the creative aspects of my brain and when I do have a day off, I am to tired to draw anything decent, let alone force my brain to think! The spring semester has just began, and I am already drowning in mountainous piles of work, and textbook studies. (@.@) The fact that I have to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.6 to maintain my academic scholarship, and a 3.2 GPA plus 90 hours of community service to keep my other scholarship means that I have to work really hard! (<_< ) Then there's also the fact that I wok part-time on the side to pay for the evil text-books that deliver me grief, and some of my remaining tuition. Gahhh!!! It's really hard and time consuming!!!!! But alas, don't worry, I shall survive!!! The good thing is, there's ony 3.5 more months left until summer break!!!! (*-*) lol And then I will be completely free for 3.5 months again!!!! I will definitely have tons of time to work on more artworks for us all!!!

Hopefully, things at school will start to calm down once I get early term papers finished, study ahead of schedule, and get used to my new classes! In the meantime, I will just have to sacrifice I suppose! It should get easier within the next few weeks though!!! At least, that's what I am telling myself, because I already miss having time to do the things I love, especially drawing!!!! Plus, there are so many things still I have to draw before I die or something!!!! I don't want to be ghost with unfinished business! (^o^)

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well, and not drowning in textboks!!! It's a cruel fate. (+_+) A vile enemy doesn't even deserve that.

Let’s see here, six weird habits/things about myself! (^.^)’ … I’m going to have to think of this a little bit! … *two days later* ….

1. I am totally not a procrastinator!!! I never do anything at the last minute, and that is the honest truth! For example, if I have a term paper due in two months, I will have it finished and perfected within 2-3 weeks after it is assigned!!! (^.^)’’

2. If I am watching an anime that I am really intrigued by, I will exclaim things out loud, even if no one is in the room to hear me. Actually, I think I do this more when no one is in the room! (@_@)

3. After work, I will run home rather than walk! (o.O) After many hours of slavery at a minimum wage job, I truly lack any patience to travel slowly.

4. I am almost always tapping my fingers or feet when I have nothing constructive to do! I think that I may have attention deficit disorder, or something!

5. I like school. No … seriously, I grow happy when a teacher announces that we have a big project to complete. It’s really weird, the more difficult an assignment is, the more I want to take it on! (<_< )

6. I like public speaking! Heheh! (^o^)

This is my first time joining Deviant Art, and I have to say that I am totally impressed with the site thus far! (*_*) There are so many talented artists on this site, it is absolutely amazing! So, if you receive a seemingly random watch from me, don’t be surprised!!! In fact, it’s really not random at all! It’s because you have some amazing art that totally impresses me! (^_~) Anyways, aside from all that jazz, I will be looking forward to interacting with you all here! This website seems highly active, entertaining, and diversified, so I will definitely be sticking around! I am going to slowly upload my artworks here until they are all uploaded. Starting with the oldest pics (the most flawed ones) and then working up to the most recent (which are the better images). As always, feel free to critique them as you wish, even the old, flaw-filled ones. I truly value everyone’s opinion on all matters, so do not hesitate to speak your mind! (^.^)
