Alright peeps, this is important enough that I'm going to spread the word. In case you hadn't noticed, there is a rash of spam/virus comments going around on DA. if you get a comment on you front page, or anywhere else that reads something like
"Hey. this person wrote something about you in their blog.. CLICK HERE"
"Hey. I think i saw your picture on this website/blog here CLICK HERE" or:
"Hey. check out this funny blog!! LOL CLICK HERE", or even ones that mention Valentines with CLICK HERE in it.. .DO NOT CLICK! it will hack in to your DA page, and then start re posting the comment with the spam links. Here is the latest news

The following is a very rambling, uncomplet sum up of the 10+ days I spent with out electric.
I'm sure I'll added to this as I think of things.

So, the first three day we spent literally locked in the house, because it was to dangerous to go out. Between the trees/tree limbs falling, and the thick ice, you'd ether go splat, or be a splat... Sounded like small arms fire out there, day and night... it was murder. our poor tree. I'll have to do a complete write up on what we have to do now, to take care of the forest.

We were luck as hell to have a small generator, which we hooked up the three freezer, and the incubator to.. And the Sirius Radio. THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT!


Now... we could plug in the TV or a computer as well... but only if we unplugged the incubator, and at least one of the freezers.. Yeah. SO... You start up one computer, and everyone dose a quick check of what ever they have to check, and then you shut it off. So, if it's your computer, you in luck... if it not your, well.. poop.
Though we did indulge the after a few day, and watch the tree LOTRs movies, one a night.. That was fun.

Doing dish or bathing was.. interesting. After word started getting out that in might be weeks before we got power back... we really started getting creative. Which meant Frocky here was doing the bucket detail and gather ice off the roof and what not to melt for the animals to drink, or to bath in.. and you wore your cloth for up to three or four days..
We're getting middevil here!
(Well, everything but underwear.. end of story)
Heat and cooking was no problem. We have a gas range, and a wood stove.

After the fourth day, it started melting... Which meant we could sorta venture out and start cleaning up.. sorta. It was bad. we clean up the road first, and then some of the yard. It was apparent from the lack of tracks on the main road the no one had been up the mountain. Sooo.... We weren't going to be the first.
No, the boy waited a day, then went down to see how bad it was.. They ended up cutting their was down the hill in a few spots. :0_o:
Next day everyone went to town.... Yeah, we were that batty.
We manged to get a second generator by this time.. but it wasn't as good, and only half worked.. Still, it helped.

Yesterday, I had jury orientation.. So we used that as an excuse to hit the laundry mat. Man.... we didn't even take the sheets in, and we still took up three of the big washer and three of the little washers! Thanks goodness it was mostly empty.. Mostly.. There was a zombie in there. It must have just eaten, cuse it didn't bother us... just started. *Creep out*

And yesterday night... the power came back on! We can see it a bit of a patch job on the line for now... but, it up, it's working, it hasn't blipped out once. They'll be back to get it more pemement, after they get every one else online.. (our neighbor down the hill still is with out power right now.)
SO, what have we been doing since the power came back on? CLEANING. Lots of it.

Found this here... A joke for all the time you're dealing with the oh so difficult costumer.


A bald man with a wooden leg gets invited to a Halloween party. He doesn't know what costume to wear to hide his head and his leg so he writes to a costume company to explain his problem.

A few days later he received a parcel with the following note:

Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a pirate's outfit. The spotted handkerchief will cover your bald head and, with your wooden leg, you will be just right as a pirate.

The man thinks this is terrible because they have just emphasized his wooden leg and so he writes a letter of complaint. A week goes by and he receives another parcel and a note, which says:

Dear Sir,

Please find enclosed a monk's habit. The long robe will cover your wooden leg and, with your bald head, you will really look the part.

Now the man is really upset since they have gone from emphasizing his Wooden leg to emphasizing his bald head so again he writes the company another nasty letter of complaint. The next week he gets a small parcel and a note, which reads:

Dear Sir,

Please find the enclosed bottle of molasses. Pour the molasses over your bald head, stick your wooden leg up your ass and go as a caramel apple.

It's cold! and getting colder! Ahhhh! 21 F with a wind and dropping, and suppose to be in the single digest tomorrow morning.. and then maybe below 0 F after that! (which, for those of you who use Celsius is roughly -6 C, -12 C, and -17. C ) Oiy.... At least we're not getting any ice in the mix.

So.... in other new, I've done my yearly costuming wish list over on my Live journal (Chicky if you wanna see, too long to post here. ) I don't plan on doing them all this year... Just one that are at the top of my list right now. Subject to change, of course, and budget (which is limited at best right now). But still.. fun to plan out, anyway. (I'm a dreamer, don't try and wake me!)

Let see, since that wasn't really deserving of a journal entry by its self, what can I round this out with... Ah.. Lint it growing. and growing, and growing. He a junk food eater to. O_o He love cookies.. he will stalk you though the house if you eat one and do not share it. He loves nachos. He love bisects... and he throws fits when locked up for to long with no loving. Yes, he quite a little guy.

And.... =InKibus had better have just been low on mojo today, and not coming down with something! The girl was a ghost of herself, I swear.. In fact, I'm betting that as soon as it hit 9 PM here, she'll be in bed.

Meh, have to get that mopy end of the yea post off my front page! So, a pointless update to spam your inbox!

Ummm. let see.. Lint has turned in to a cuddle bun.... And he throw a tantrum when it's time to go back to his cage. It really cute to tell the truth.

I'm trying to get some stuff together sewing wise to upload, but it's taking longer then I thought... And I refuse to upload anymore silly pic till I can balance out my quote of sewing pic!

Oh... and according to that last poll I ran, 79% of my watchers are girls, 15% are boys, and 7% are others... I find that highly amusing.

Last day of 2008 for us here in the States, (For some of you in other spots of the world, it's already 2009, isn't it?) I'm feeling a tab melancholy, though to tell the truth I'm not sorry to see this year end. Went by to fast, to many low point, and just draining all around. (And to boot, we seems to have lost a whole slew of people I admirer.... For crying out old, there should be a limit on how many can die in one year!) So, here is my pictorial some of 2008. This is why you never let parents out shopping unsupervised! See, you just can't! they go out, and the next thing ya know, they're sheepishly sneaking in the door, saying things like "Look at who we have!"

So, ummm.. how was you peeps Christmas? Any one have anything eventful happen?
Me and the fam just rested all day, since we had a bit of a cold, and Inky and I got to talk to *Civilisedwookie , which was fun.. Oh yeah, and the shower stopped working for a bit. Cheap cr*p parts.. But it's fixed now! Sorta..

Yes so.... Maybe it's because I've been on the front page more, messing around with the new layout, but I had gotten sick of those roses. Really sick of them. sooo.. trying something new. (Yes, I get distracted easily, bit me!) What do you think of it??
Still needs work, the header is spaced all wrong, but I think it much better then the snowy roses.

Yes, you read that right... SUICIDAL SQUIRRELS! Know, before you get ordering up a strait jacket for me (I'm sure I'll sew my own here one day), know that that is based on fact... namely, a squirrel the blew the fused and switch out at the last electrical pole before it come in to the house, and had us in the dark for most of an evening. (As well as blowing all the cordless phones up! Damn you!) That's what happen yesterday. If it was so funny, I'd be grumpy. But it was topped off by me and sis having to go out and tell the workmen who came to fix it were the line was, after we found them wandering around our garden fence in the dark, with the huge work truck lit up like something from close encounters. Yessssss.... It was strange.

But, on a lighter note, I woke up to this. I thought it was great, anyway.
