Uh.... Okay.... Where to start.

First order of business.... I just got into a band.

Second order of business.... This is a really serious band. Everyone involved, has been up to this point, a mildly successful one-man-operation of their own. So it's kinda like 3 seriously ultra-talented people.... for now. Hopefully like 6. We got a manager, we got a producer. And the producer works for free. But he's a pro. Working on getting this drummer who has been drumming since she was 5 years old... she's 27 and claims drums are her life.... HM. I ZEE PROMIZING TINGS IN ZIS ONE MR. KORSCHEHOFF....

Third order of business.... I probably won't be logging on.... like.... at all. I got about two weeks before I pack my shit and get a hard job while trying to get money for gear, while we record in studios then rehearse to start doing gigs. These guys are AMAZING. Even though I'll probably get stuck doing fucking temp'ing or something, I'll probably love every minute of it in some strange sadistic way because at the end of the day it'll be one more day of music that people will hear and move to.

I'm the keyboardist. The band is called Candella.

Oh. No more artists of the week. No more critiques, no more anything. I've dropped all my projects. AURA, DoV, a different band, and someone had offered me some money to make him some backing tracks. Although the backing tracks... if I can still finish a track or two for him I'll send him some stuff... I need some road money.

...Now, the hard part is telling my parents, because they had already paid for a semester of college. >_< (Although I think it's still possible to drop the classes and take the money out. Something about payment blocks.)

If for some reason you're gonna have some kind of fucking heart attack from my dissapearance, which I don't really think will happen, given my incredibly-mild-at-best impact on things.... I've got a gmail. If I owe you money n shit, I don't want a lawsuit/pissed off person, so contact me so that we save alot of trouble - bgarnerappli@gmail.com

Now, what's so interesting about this, you ask? Well, first off it's a really freaking good piece, but that's not what I'm talking about. This is a girl, who has taken a huge amount of time out of her life to actually draw the OC's of her watchers.

Yeah. That's the cue to say, "Whoa." If THAT isn't 'interesting,' I don't know what is.

Her age is hidden, which is a pity - when I've got enough of these artists of the week things going, you'll notice the pattern of me picking young artists, because there's a spark to the art of someone young that I just don't see anywhere else. I found her coloring tutorial, and holy balls. I took my extremely average sketch and used her technique, and it just freaking CAME TO LIFE! I am at an utter loss of words to describe its ease of use and helpfulness...

I've added her to my watch list,
favorited the coloring tutorial,
featuring her here (as you can see, lol.),
and I'm adding her to the Special Thanks (Credits, you know that whole deal.) of AURA (Yeah, that thing!), and listing why, (Whether she or the rights purchasers like it or not... )

Just because, hot damn, I feel like this is just the bare minimum of appreciating the tutorial. I have never truly gotten the ideas from my head, to paper, then to the finished concept, and then I see that tutorial, and bam.

2 years of failing and I get a couple of non-reproduceable lucky shots.

2 days of coloring with that tutorial and I get a perfectly reproduceable NON lucky shot that is even BETTER than what a lucky shot could hope to get me.

You can find her tutorial HERE: [link]

In other, and probably less impressive news, I've really stepped up my game on the AURA Project. I hit a bit of a stagnation and this is just what I needed to boost me back into the rhythm of things. In particular, the songs are really, really, just WOW now.

If you do anything today, do one of these three things.

Check out Yuni's art, watch her, or thank her.

And if you do anything else today,

Check out her tutorial, put it to good use. [link]

And if you're still feeling gutsy:

Check out the sketch I applied her tutorial's technique to: [link]

Also - you can check out the new tracks for AURA, which really are worlds better than the AURA A1 tracks, or even the A2 tracks. Believe it or not, I was actually semi-"tutored" by one of Soundclick's own rising amazing people, Chris Fewell. You can check out his music here: [link]

And finally, here's the new tracks for AURA, all nice and lined up on my music page (I go by Artificial Wonders): [link]
