"What is the most serious problem with the world these days?"

The problem I have the most is with how we portray humanity and "being" through the media; news, shows, movies, tabloids, fashion magazines, music. It's not to say these things are bad, but I feel like we are abusing them. The world has decided to advertise a false image, and an extremely large percentage of the World believes it. America is the worst of all, even though I am an American myself. I know some of my poems are for America and some are against it; and I have poems for Earth and against Earth. I'm not happy with the way the world is. I see a future world were people are more jaded, shallow, depressed and unsatisfied. This is the way it has always been, but it's sad that people want to complain more then do something about it.
We are slowly becoming just automatons of society. Do we really want that to happen?

I feel like since they don't give me enough of a chance, then I won't give them a chance. I am abandoning kind words and ideals toward the suburban culture, and infiltrating their society with their wrongs. I FEEL like I should make them feel terrible, heartless, shallow, unloving, cold, and damned. I FEEL like this is what I SHOULD do. But it is right to love our enemies, but I feel like I'm in a concentration camp.

So I now spend countless hours on schoolwork and trying to wrap my mind around this creative writing class. On the side of that, I've been hanging out in Glory Days (a bar) a lot and watching Hockey Games.

I'm doing okay with everything else, but the fact that I haven't been on a date in almost a year is pretty damn depressing. Sure there have been interests here and there, with one there was something going for like 3 months, but she lived in Texas and was sort of a pot head and was latching onto me for emotional issues. Two I just had no interest in, and it caused some drama that I really didn't need. And another, well, let's say the crush hasn't gone away since the middle of this past summer. And I don't think it's going anywhere. It's not like I'm not out there meeting people, because I am. Hell, with the Art Magazine I'm meeting tons of people. But I've noticed one thing that's really started to piss me off.

Just because I say I'm Christian, I work at a Church (outside of the car dealership), and I'm a Religious Studies major, people like to stereotype me as the "goody-goody Christian boy". I'm beginning to really fucking hate that shit. People think I can't have fun, go out and have a good time. Last party I was at, I had people taking body shot off me. I like to go to rock concerts, party hard at those, have a good time at a game or two, or three, whatever the game is. Shit, I know how to have a good time! Sure the only thing I have trouble doing, is going out dancing, which blows, cause I'm not a dancer at all (so clubbing is a bit off for me).

It's just like, "put yourself out there!" I keep hearing. I'm doing that... but where the fuck are the results!?!?
