Well this has been a busy couple of months for us. We have bought a new house and close in early October. We are incredibly excited and can't wait to start that new chapter of our lives. It is an older home in which the previous owner completely reworked the first floor. We have been living in an apartment for the last couple of months and it didn't take long for us to remember that we never want to do this again!
I have also been working crazy amounts of overtime. I know it's not as much as a lot of people work but it's alot more than I'm used to. But considering all of the problems that other people are having with jobs, working a bit of overtime is certainly a nice problem to have.
Now that I have put my last two months into words, it really doesn't seem like all that much, but it hasn't felt that way. Anyway, I hope everyone out there in female muscle land is doing ok and thanks for stopping by.

Well, I successfully completed two triathlons in the past two weeks as well as moving the day before the first one (something I would NEVER recommend.) The first triathlon was a sprint triathlon. In a sprint triathlon you swim 750 meters, bike 12.4 miles (20k) and run 3.1 miles (5k). I was very happy with how I did for my first triathlon. I finished in 1 hour 34 minutes.

The second triathlon was the Hy-Vee triathlon in Des Moines, IA and it is an Olympic Length triathlon. You double the distances of a sprint tri for an Olympic tri meaning swim 1500 meters (just under a mile), bike 24.8 miles (40k) and run 6.2 miles (10k). This one did not go as smoothly. I was close to panic by the end of the swim because I was getting tired and I just wanted to touch solid ground. Being so tired only meant bad things for the rest of the race. The bike portion was not as bad as it could have been but since I was using a hybrid bike instead of a road bike I was about the slowest person on the course and I was using more energy than almost anyone else on the course...GREAT! Then came the absolutely dreadful run portion. After only about 100 meters of running, my quads started to lock up and continued to cramp for the entire 6.2 miles. I would run 200 meters and then walk 200 meters. Needless to say, I finished the triathlon in 3 hours 31 minutes but overall I was still happy. I mean come on, how many people do you know that have completed a triathlon, let alone using a crappy hybrid bike.

I will probably look into getting a better bike and then trying the whole thing over again just to see how much better I can get my times. We'll see. Anyway, it's done and I can finally relax.

OK, I know I said I wasn't going to be that active on here for a while, but this deserves a response! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE HOUNDING FROM DEVIANTART TO UPGRADE MY ACCOUNT!!! I have gotten several notices from to upgrade my account in the last few days and it is getting old! I have come to terms with the fact that I do not have all the options available from but that is an option that they give us. If they want to make everyone get a subscription then FUCKING REQUIRE IT!!! First they censor our pictures because some cob-up-their-ass conservative complains about the content. Then they just remove other pictures because , well who really know why they remove them, they just do. Now they have decided the best way to get people to subscribe is just hound them to death. I am getting sick and tired of this crap. I don't know at the moment what other options are, but I am exploring them and if I find one that is available, do not be surprised if I take it. For the time being, I will deal with the BS that is dishing out, but that will only last so long.

I don't know yet how I'm going to get them all done right, but rest assured I will continue to work on them. Here's the catch though, with recent developments in my life, I am not going to be working on them very quickly.
There are some times when you have to just have to stick out your chest and give a good Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor type grunt. I received quite a few tools for Christmas and I have been able to put every one of them to use since then. I received a new table saw and a 3-nail gun set with air compressor and have used them to replace my front door and put trim around a few windows in the house. Next on the agenda will be a couple of shelves for the living room to put up some of our wedding pictures that have been living on our loveseat for the past month. I absolutely love having tools and look for any chance possible to use any and all of them. I know it's incredibly corny but there is just a real sense of accomplishment when you can transform something old and crappy into something nice and new. Anyone that's ever built something through to completion knows what I'm talking about.

After dealing with snow, freezing rain, ice, sub-zero temperatures and all the other fun crap that goes with winter time, I have come to the same conclusion that I do every winter that I am just simply tired of winter. I want to be able to golf year round, I want to be able to go outside without the fear of loosing digits if I'm out there too long.

My wife and I drove to Atlanta over the holidays and while we were down there, we went on a 2-3 mile run. When we left the house there was a light drizzle but it was nothing to be really worried about. But about 5 minutes into the run that light drizzle turned into a down-pour. Here's the best part, because it was 65 degrees we were FINE!!! I refuse to run outside in Iowa right now for a number of reasons (all of which have been mentioned above.)

Now don't get me wrong, the title of this entry is "Tired of Winter" not "Tired of Iowa." I love living in Iowa. You cannot live in a friendlier part of the country, but I would love it if Iowa and Oregon could just trade places.

I received one very negative reaction to my pic Eleanor 6b [link] I have dealt with it to my satisfaction in the comments so please DO NOT hassle the commenter. He is as entitled to his opinion as anyone and free-speech says he can comment as such.

I have also received my first fan-pic. [link] It was done by and it is a pic of Katie. This is a great pic and an incredible honor. (I know, you'd think I'd received an academy award.)

These types of reactions are welcome either way. I actually enjoy seeing the negative comment (Eww, that's disgusting, etc) ALMOST as much as I enjoy seeing the compliments. It just makes me glad to be as open minded and tolerant as I am.

I was mowing the lawn one day and just decided that I was going to do the Hy-Vee triathlon next year. Now I don't know if any of you have done such a thing, but I haven't. I have run a few half-marathons and those were great and aweful at the same time, so without going the next step to a full marathon I guess I decided that Triathlon was a better route. I really am looking forward to this, but there are parts that terrify me. Such as swimming 1500 meters or biking 26 miles after swimming 1500 meters and running 6.2 miles after swimming 1500 meters and biking 26 miles. I guess that pretty much narrows it down to all of it. When if comes down to it, I'm sure I'll be fine, but I'm also pretty sure I'll be dragging ass when it's over.
So I live in central Iowa (where alot of the flooding just recently happened) and my fiancee's family lives in and around Cedar Rapids (where the worst of the flooding just happened.) Anyway, her sister's house was definitely in the flood plain and I just recently went out there to help them get it cleaned out. I have to say, I don't think I would wish that experience on my worst enemies.

By my estimate, the water was about 9 feet deep at her house and she was about 2-3 blocks from the river. They were a bit more fortunate than some because they had moved some of their stuff to the second floor and most of their sentimental stuff got removed from the house completely before they got evacuated. But the level of destruction is nothing less than awesome. You don't really know what to say as you drive down the street other than "Oh my God!"

Some people had a pretty good sense of humor about it (one guy had all of his possessions on his front lawn with a sign above it all that said "Yard Sale.") Unfortunately not everyone had much to be thankful for. A few houses had already collapsed and several of them had their foundations completely washed away. And the smell was unbelievably aweful!

I would say that the best part of the whole experience for me was seeing the absolute best in the human race. Friends helping friends, strangers helping strangers. Police departments across the country sent officers to help, from New York to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Nebraska, Colorado and Minnesota. The electic company was handing out Gatorade to workers, the Salvation Army was driving around with sandwiches and water to anyone that wanted some. This may have been the worst disaster to hit the area, but it is also a showcase for God's greatest creation - Us!

Ok, so my latest random thought is spawned by some comments I read on another deviant's page. He was told that his particular piece of artwork is offensive and should take it down because children could see it. It was a drawing of a woman with a rather large chest doing something at a desk.
I have to wonder if it the artist's responsibility and thus society's responsibility to sheild kids from this type of art or is it the paren't responsibility to monitor what their kids see. I did not find it offensive at all (maybe some of the comments posted below could be considered demeaning) but the picture itself is not. I can see both sides of the argument, good parents will monitor their kids, but responsible artists will put mature tags on their art, but where does the mature tag "line" start? Should we be courteous to ultra-conservatives, or should we draw the line at anything more than a bikini?
I am not a parent, but I am still curious to know what other people think.

So I am getting married this summer and I am currently going through the hassles related to having her move into my place. Mind you, we are both going to be 30 years old when actually tie the knot and have subsequently aquired a lot of crap. I've never had to throw anything away and she has almost every cooking pot, pan, stone, or utensil known to woman (I didn't know anything about stoneware until I met her and had never heard of Pampered Chef.)
So as you can imagine, most of my kitchen stuff has gone by the way-side and either been given away to friends of hers or is being sold in a garage sale this weekend. I'm not particularly attached to any of it besides the fact that it's all I've used for the past 8 years and has served me well. Now I have to worry about teflon coating and not putting soap on the stoneware.
I truly believe it is all worth it though as she is an amazing woman that I count my blessings to be getting married to. She completely tolerates my rather expensive golfing habit and cooks incredibly well (so she can use whatever friggin' pans she want to.)
To top it all off, I am doing some rather large remodeling projects at home and trying to complete them before the wedding. I have poured a new driveway (and am now trying to get my lawn back in shape) and I'm converting a screened in patio into a garage (better resale value.) Anyway, with all these things going on, I haven't had much time to think about my pending nuptials so maybe it's not such a bad thing after all.

Inspired by Dennis Leary

I was just listening to a skit about rehab by Dennis Leary (absolutely hilarious) when he posed the question "Have we turned into gerbils, Ladies and Gentlemen?" This question got me thinking about health clubs. I work at a YMCA and have been a workout person for well over half my life. Every one of our treadmills, elliptical machines, stairmasters, and several of our stationary bikes (any of them that have a digital display) are plugged into an electrical outlet.

Which leads to my inspiration. I'm sure the geniuses at Nautilus, Nordictrac, Precor, and any other treadmill maker already have these in the works, but would it really be so bad if all the treadmill, elliptical machine, stairmaster, and stationary bike use actually generated power that could be used to power those buildings, rather than sucking up all that power?

I realize this would not be the end-all, cure-all for our woes, but how many times have you heard someone say "Any little bit helps." Well, this would be one way we could help. I dunno, maybe I'm just talking out my arse, but it sure seems like it couldn't hurt.

Shameless self-promotion

I have never been one for self-promotion, but I will admit I am about to do a little now. As many of you know, the models and accessories that go with doing 3d art do not come for free and I have spent my fair share of money on some of these things. More than I care to tell my fiancee, that's for sure. But I have recently found someone that is interested enough in my pictures to pay me for them and after receiving that first check, I must admit I got pretty excited. This is the first return on my investment that I have seen since I started doing this about 2-3 years ago. While I have had people make a few requests for commisions to me, the problems I have with that is that I don't make my own clothes and have not even come close to figuring out how to do that yet so getting clothes to match what those people would want, could be potentially problematic. Second, I do most of my rendering when I am not supposed to be (while at work) so my pictures come when I have time. I can never predict when that time will be so I don't want to be put on a timetable.

Anyway, the website I have been submitting to is [link] and Larry gets enought stuff that if I only submit a couple of pics to him a month then that is no big problem and I am not required to meet anyones standards but my own. With that said, if you like my stuff and would like to see a little more of it, then go to the aforementioned website and get a membership. I like getting paid for this stuff and if people are going to LHART.com to see my stuff, then Larry will ask for more and I will get paid more.

Sorry again for this shameless self-promotion.

So some knucklehead with the username Imperial-Agitator has added my pic "Jennifer" to a collection of his named worst shit I have seen. He did not offer any sort of explanation so I am just guessing that I have tapped into the little boy inside of him that is so insecure with himself that he feels the need to try and bring others down with him. I on the other hand feel totally fine with the fact that I like muscular women and while I am not really into other fetishes like furries or BBW I understand that they are no more weird than some of mine so I will cast no stones at them. I almost feel honored at the fact that my picture was so offensive to him while being completely unoffensive that he felt the need to post it permanently on his page. Kinda funny.

It just brings me to wonder "What is it about some of these knuckleheads that makes them feel the need to react in such a manner?" I have not received nearly the amount or degree of criticism that others in the are of muscular women and FMG have endured, but I still wonder this same question whenever I hear of it on the internet.

I am having a little trouble coming up with names for my two favorite models (Warrior Woman and Muscular Bride.) I would entertain suggestions if any of you have some. Previously I have just used whatever popped into my head, but if there is a significance to the name you suggest, then that would be great also.
