Trying to find a way to get back to my pencil and paper again. And, I am trying to find a way to get my scanner/printer right next to me as well. Becuase I can't do anything without it. Maybe one of my friends has a scanner I could borrow.

As far as my art is going, everything has come to a screeching halt. I am more preoccupied now that finals week is creeping around the corner, and my dear Biker Mice from Mars must wait. I think that over winter break, I will work more on them and fill my gallery folder with more pics.

This is important information for females of ALL ages.

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:


1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair . Women with short hair are not common targets.


2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around specifically to cut clothing.


3) They also look for women on their cell phone , searching through their purse, or doing other activities while walking because they are off-guard and can be easily overpowered.


4) Men are most likely to attack & rape in the early morning, between 5:00a.m. and 8:30a.m.


5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocery store parking lots . Number two: is office parking lots/garages. Number three: is public restrooms.


6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.


7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.

8) If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas , or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands. Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.


10) Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question , like what time is it, or make general small talk: 'I can't believe it is so cold out here,' 'we're in for a bad winter.' Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a line-up; you lose appeal as a target.


11) If someone is coming toward you , hold out your hands in front of you and yell STOP or STAY BACK ! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back . Again, they are looking for an EASY target.


12) If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes) ,yell I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.


13) If someone grabs you , you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm (between the elbow and armpit) OR in the upper inner thigh VERY VERY HARD .


One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it - it hurts.


14) After the initial hit, always GO for the GROIN . I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful . You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble and He's out of there.


15) When the guy puts his hands up to you , grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.


16) Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings , take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts!!!
You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

On a happier note, I am going home Tuesday for Turkey Day, and I am really excited to see my kitty, and my dog. Also, I am looking for the 3 seasons of BMFM on DVD, so the first spot I am heading for is my local Best Buy. Hopefully they will help me out with that.

He probably doesn't. He's a total sweetheart, and I don't want to hurt my own feelings again by making myself go through the whole love thing. It sickens me. But I am resisting myself be likeing him. So, if she drops it and apologizes, then I'll feel better, but if she keeps this crap up, then I'll just walk out of the room and go to the main office and tell the principal that she's balming me for something I didn't do, and tell him that I am innocent. he knows I am a good student, and maybe he'll tell her to lay off. it's a stupid calander for God's sake! Even the other people in other SPanish classes were telling her that I wouldn't do something like that. Yesterday, she was looking right at me, and did she see me tearing up her f*cking calander? NO! I was doing my work, like a good student!

Tell me what to do, so I don't lose my temper in front of her and wind up getting written up!

Still waiting for the attack to end, hoping I don't get put in the hospital.

I was up since 2:30 AM because of my right ear. It hurts like a SOB and it feels like someone was wearing brass knuckles and they decided to punch me in the ear.

My mom called me about 30 seconds ago, while I am here in the computer lab in school, and told me that was coming to pick me up to take me to the doctor. So I feel better at least. I am gonna shoot my allergist for the bad news she gave me. it seems that my allergies are flaring up ever since I went to get allergy testing.

Maybe I am slowly falling apart. I don't think I'll be that lucky.

Allgery Alert:
I refused to do the 5 years of allergy shots, due to fear of anafelectic shock, them not working, and an epipen. All I'm going to do is take it easy with everything, and when I feel like my allergies are starting to bug me, then I'll get away for a while until I calm down. That seems sensible.

On the school front, I need to desprately pick up my pre-calculus and physics grades. I know that I am taking all AP classes, and that makes the pressure even harder on me. But I think that I can do it...I'm staying after school every Wednesday for extra help!

On a sadder topic yet, my went with to North Carolina with my bf, . I felt like a piece of me went with him when he went. He will be missed.....very much and I hope he comes back to me. Whether he realizes it or not, I care very much about him.

(Yaay! ) So anyway, there was the kickoff, and I caught the fumble and ran. Speedy dvil I am over short distances! But, then all of the sudden, there was this guy in my gym in my face, and the next thing I found out conciously, I was on the ground, screaming at the top of my lungs, "MY ARM! MY ARM!"

I was immediately sent home, and my mom made an appoitment at the doctors office. Well, the doctor thought that I may have broken it, but he said it was highly unlikely that it was indeed fractured. He sent me to the hospital for x-rays, and even though it was just for x-rays, I HATE hospitals with a passion.

Well, it was NOT broken, and my doctor told me that it would be normal to see severe bruising in a couple of days. I'll have to take pics of my arm for yas. But, I can't move my arm a whole lot, but I can make do with minimal arm motion. ^.^ b

Yesterday was tennis sectionals, (how ironic that I got hurt the day before sectionals) but my parents wanted me to stay home. I told them flat out, "mom, dad, I have to go. tennis is my life, and I would die if you made me stay home."

So, on the bus ride to tennis, all I was thinking was, "Man, my arm better hold up." and it did! me and my tennis partner were the ONLY ones in the whole team that made it to the second round! I was so happy! But, on a sadder note, in the second round, we had to play a really hard team, and we lost, not by much though. It was a achievement in tiself being the only senior on the team to make it to the second round!

The opposing girls were hitting back to me and my partner, and I hit the ball back short, as a net volley, me being at the net, and the other girl ran to the net and WHALED the &^&*%^ing ball into the right side of my face! And to top the cake, the opposing coach was VERY rude, and I hated her even more than I do already.

But on a brighter note, since I am a senior, today we did the voting for class 'mosts' and I was voted "Most Artisitc"!

But anyway, on the homefront, we had a tennis match September 4th, (the day before I began school) against Walton, and it was a very easy win! But, we also had another match last Thursday against Delhi, and we lost. SO we started the season out well, but then we had lost one match. Oh well, so now the score stands at 1-1. Tommorrow we're at Sidney, and from what my sources say, it's gonna be another easy win.

I called a couple of days later top ask if the red one was still for sale, and the guy was like, "Oh, I just sold it a couple of hours ago." <-- (me when I found out)

I asked my dad about the green one, and he said that he didn't see it, but the owner has been driving it around back and forth to work, so it might still be for sale.

My parents have been ragging on me about doing these college essays, and I did them, and my mom was like, "If you don't dso those essays, we won't help you with a car." I was like, "Mom, the essays are done, now we can look for a blazer." And she keeps on saying, "tomorrow, not now," and blah. <--my mom.

But I really liked the red blazer, and it was PERFECT for me! And now some other lucky girl probably is hugging the breath out of her dad, thanking him for a blazer that she was looking at. If my dad didn't DRAG HIS FEET last week, the blazer would have all ready been mine.
