Come on! I'm doing okay, final battle(s) in FFVII, and then Sephiroth decides to summon this huge thing from space, it blows ups the gas giants and then BLOWS THE SUN UP! You watch the supernova inching closer and closer, destroys Mercury, Venus and then arrives at earth. Wow! WTF!
I was SUPER surprised I survived it (with 30ish hp), but then Nanaki gets all confused and kills everyone and himself . I think I'm gonna train a bit more, this guy's nuts O_o. So yeah, got "One Winged Angel" stuck in my head, But I have to say, this game is awesome ^^.

This game really brings the player into the game, you actually fell the emotions going on in the end and and least for me, I cared about it. I cared about the defeating the last boss, as had the resolute to win even if it seemed truly arduous. The final battle was one of the best, if not the best I have ever played. Now I understand why Okami beat Zelda that year, it truly was the best game of the year. I'll try to avoid spoilers so I won't say much more, but IF YOU HAVEN"T PLAYED OKAMI YET DO SO, you will not be disappointed. I rank this game among the best I have ever played. If the creator can come up with a good story for a sequel I'm up for it, I have my fingers crossed. Might play it again after I beat other games on my list

Anyway, stress is actually starting to pile up once more. It's hard to believe I have been in college for 3 years already. Now it's almost over and the time has come, I'll be applying to veterinary school this year. I have kept my grades up and done what I can, but I guess there is no getting rid off that guilty feeling that you really have accomplished nothing. In the end I may get accepted or not, hopefully I can take both news well. That is far off though, I still have a summer to shine things up. I'm truly on vacation right now, but in a few weeks I'll be going back to Ithaca to get back to work. My plan is to work on my research project that is really easy yet I've gotten nowhere in the past 2 years. I also need to get more animal experience, preferably small animal or cattle. Back up plan is the equine park, which I may work on for some cash. Overall, I really need to get exposed to the veterinary profession. I know it's going to be tough and I think I'll adapt, but to be honest I haven't really pushed my self to the max yet. I essentially want to prove to myself that this is the career for me and I would love to dedicate my life to it. Hopefully I won't have to give up video games or drawing for it (I'm such a kid...). Anyways, wish me luck, the application comes out in two days, but It's not due till October.

The fighting system is similar to that of tales of symphonia. You can see the enemies on the overworld, the battle are not random. When you touch em, the battle starts on a separate screen. You control one character at a time and it's not turn base like other RPGs. I absolutely love this style, it's really action packed.
The music IS AMAZING, if you are like me you'll love the music and download it and listen to it over and over again. Okay, maybe I'm just biased since I'm a Motoi Sakuraba fan, hehe. The plot has many twists and turn and some may appreciate it. In the end I think the final interpretation as to what happens is in the player.
After you beat the main story there is still much to do. With Item creation you can make more and more powerful weapons. And believe me, you'll need em for the extra true bosses. They are insanely hard. For example If you are at level 80 with pretty good weapons for the final boss, the true one is 15 times harder HP wise. Overall its a fun game and i seriously recommend it. Now off to Dragon Quest VIII!!!!

Kinda late right, hehe. This game came out 4 years ago, lol. Better late than never I guess.

So far this semester seems like it's gonna be a mess. I'm signed up for 7 classes and one of them is a 5 credit one. Now 3 credits is normal difficulty, 4 credits is one with 3 lectures, 2 sections and a lab. Imagine what 5 credits would entail O_o. It's genetics and I am really NOT looking forward to taking. I like biology and stuff, I am a nerd, but genetics is just something I am not interested in one bit, but I gotta take this monster of a class to graduate. Plus people keep on telling me not to take it in my senior year for some reason, I think they're afraid I might get lazy and slack off. But they also say to take it an easy course load and this semester is gonna be anything but that, and I can't drop anything else without missing out on important stuff. So I am debating whether to take genetics this semester or next year. If I move it to next year I think things will work out much nicer, but I sure hope I don't get senioritis .
Also I'm back on the polo team this semester. I like it but I have to say it sure it's tedious and sometimes I wonder whether to stay in it or not. But I will stay, at least for this semester. Then as far as drawing goes I made up a plan for this year to really go all out and conquer pencil shading, colored pencil and digital. I should be drawing quite a bit and hopefully improve IF I follow the plan, so wish me luck. And BTW, sorry to all those that asked requests of me during the summer, I know it's being like half a year and some will take longer but someday I shall get them done, hehe.

School is finally out so I'm back home. Miraculously I have internet, since the phone line has been acting up for the last month or so. For some reason the land phone doesn't work but the DSL does, weird?! Besides that I just need to get some house cleaning done, as in throwing away stuff we don't need and making the place looks nice and shiney!

I have a couple of plans this semester. One is to workout, I don't want to get all buff and stuff, not really into that, just a bit stronger. For one thing I need to workout my fore arms, some shots in Polo have need of muscles I normally don't use
Also I want to get my driving permit. I'm already 20 and I'm a junior in college, so I'll need a car soon, or at least know how to drive legally. I live in NYC so there really is no need for me to drive, plus back in Ithaca I DO drive a bit in a farm. So I have some bit of experience, now I guess I should work on the license.
Okay, next part of the winter master plan: Beat all my Gamecube and PS2 games! muahahahaha! In total I have about 12 games that I haven't beaten, and while I have them like that I feel guilty about getting a brand new console, aka Wii! At the very least I want to beat my GCN games and then get a Wii. Then I won't feel guilty.
Then there are the things I want to learn. I started learning Japanese at the beginning of the year but I couldn't continue due to the course load. Now I want to pick it up again and make the best of the next four weeks. Also long ago in a middle school far away (actually 6 blocks away) I used to play piano a bit. I want to practice piano again with the ultimate goal of eventually moving up to a violin! Hopefully it's not one of my crazy interests that dies within a few weeks.
Then the obvious one: drawing! Hope to finish a couple of drawings during this break and rethink the way I do things. Might not be able to post them though since I left my scanner back at school. I'll also try to work on the requests from long ago, which will probably end up being digital.

So to sum up the semester it was tedious, but not as much as last year with "Quimicus Organicus", ugh.. Scary subject. Anyway, took Botany, Microbio, PHYSICS (), BioChem and Avian husbandry.
Physics and Biochem where the hardest but were actually interesting (so I' m a bit nerdy ).Botany was fun and okay. Microbio got boring, and Avian husbandry was just not my thing (I'm a mammal person, not a bird person, although they ARE cool). Then there's polo. Now that I'm in varsity it took SOOO much of my time, ugh. Plus I got injured midway through the semester and lost about 2 weeks worth of practice. In the end I feel a tad on the low self esteem side of things when it comes to Polo, but I really want to change that next semester, rawr!. Research didn't get done at all, I just couldn't make the time. Other people might be able to handle college, polo and research, but not me, so I'll focus on research in the summer when I'll be staying in Ithaca.

That's about it I guess, sorry for the long journal, I guess it's a semester's worth of stuff compressed down into one journal

Okay, I'm up to date checking out deviations. From now on I'll try to check DevArt on a daily basis so that things don't accumulate. Anyway, I just finished my second request and I'll try to start the next one this weekend, but once again it'll probably take a while since I have exams for the next 3 weeks. As far a personal projects go I really don't have much planned besides sketching and trying to become better at knowing anatomy by heart. I really like using watercolors, ink and coloring pencils in my drawings, I think I'll try to experiment a little more with those. So much for having time to draw once I got back to college. College and Polo have pretty much eaten all of my time, so drawing time has severely suffered. I'm sorry for all those of you that have asked me for requests, it WILL take a while to get them done. I usually do these "independent study" sessions in which I dedicate a certain time each day to a topic. Last semester I did it for drawing. This semester I was gonna do it for drawing a japanese, but it just really isn't working out as it should. I'll try to get organized again to start drawing, but I may have to quit japanese... Summer has surely slipped through my fingers this year. To sum it up it was abit wasteful, I probably should have done more, specially for my career, oh well. I go back on Friday so right now I'm pretty busy packing and getting some last minute stuff done.

Also about requests. Sorry I have not been able to get them done in a timely manner, I have been busy during the last two weeks. Things should be back to normal as soon as I get back to school, then I'll try to get them done before the first round of exams in September

And on Pokenews I got my beloved LUGIA! Played straight through PKMN XD to get it, he's so freaking awesome! And my Charizard (Agro) is now at level 92! I hadn't trained my pokemon this much since 1999. Pokemon Rocks!

July 29th-I have just finished "A Game of Thrones". It is an awesome fantasy book, i really recommend it. It is filled with honor, treason, suspense and everything that should be in a good book. It is the first book in the the "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga by George Martin. It supposed to be a total of seven books, and have just bought the second one "A Clash of Kings". But now that I have finished AGOT I can start reading Harry Potter! I could barely wait to read it but I just had to finish AGOT first. Reading is fun!

July 27th-Okay, I'll be honest, I have spent the last week and a half playing Final Fantasy XII non stop. It's soooo addicting! What an awesome game and it's REALLY long, just how me likes them . So that is the reason why I haven't been drawing lately, and I'm also a bit behind with the requests. But I have good news, sort of, my thumb hurts from all this playing so I have to forcefully take a a break if I don't want carpal tunnel syndrome. But it's not bad enough so that I can't draw, which I hope to be doing during the next two days (or I may just fall back to addiction as soon as my thumb stops hurting ) Well, since I can't play FFXII I am listening to the soundtrack, which I have to say is pretty awesome.
Besides that summer is drawing to a close, it's July 27th already! Just 21 more days of freedom and then back to college. I hope to beat at least one video game before I go, its hard to find time to play when you have 5 classes a week, research, work and polo going on

I would love to be in Alaska for the next few months, oh well. I still don't have my summer plans sorted out but at the very least I hope to get a lot of drawing done. The goal is to be able to do good pencil and colored pencil drawings by the end of the summer. There's a couple of people I want to give art gifts to when I get back to college next semester, so I better get good . I am going to be focusing on traditional art, although I do plan to get some cel shaded Pokemon drawings done (yeah, got into the game, again...) and a realistic digital wolf. Anyway, one thing I probably won't get done is be near nor ride horses. The nearest place to ride is pretty far and kinda inaccessible without a car. So I'm deprived of equine company I'm already suffering from horse withdrawals... Almost bought a horse toy the other day...

Thanks god. Of course it did take about 20 hours of studying, which I had never done before, but hey, an A! The next one comes In a week and a half :0. I have continued to study horse anatomy and I feel my horses look better, I may some in scraps. Once I'm done with facial studies I hope to make a horse portrait (remember those oldies, let's see how much I have improved ). Polo team stuff is going well, so far 5 goals career wise, 3 this past month. I will start in my first game on April 10th (season is nearly over, we'll be playing an intraclub tournament, wish me luck or else my varsity team mates will kill me...). So I'm excited and nervous about it. The varsity team also made it to the finals, so I'm crossing my fingers for a win for Cornell.

Once again I'm here to update you on how my life is going. Let's start with art. Like I said before I have been doing sketches on my sketch book. Some more complete than others but none that I think are complete enough to be posted. Hopefully I'll do something soon, but for the momment I am overwhelmed with Prelims . On a good note I finnaly learned to do trees in pencil thanks to Scott Ruggles, who by the way is back online: [link] . Check him out, he is AWESOME IMO. So expect to see trees in my next pencil drawing.

I think I'm doing well in college, I mean everything is tough at the momment but I feel I'm in good steps, and if I study I should get decent grades on my prelims next week. I have been going to the usual ups and downs, and a song that usually always makes me keep on going is "Run Wolf Warrior Run" from the Wolf's Rain soundtrack (finnaly he tells us what the journal is about). I just wanted to share the lyrics with you guys since I really like them, I recommend this song, you can get the cd for about 10 bucks at amazon. If you analize the song it is pretty nice.

Nov 20, 2005. Finals are coming, yikes! But before that I'll be going home for Thanksgiving. I plan to go to the Cigar Mile and while I shouldn't boast about stuff that I don't have yet, I think I'll have a 20D by then! I'm just sooooo happy about it. Of course I not gonna ask anything from mom for quite a while after this gift (mucho $$$), I'm really thankful she will be able to get it for me and I truly appreciate it. Getting the 20D means I am really gonna start to be serious about photography, so for the foreseeable future I won't be drawing much if any and instead focus on photography. I plan to spend a hefty amount of my winter break at Aqueduct Racetrack perfecting my techniques for the upcoming season, heck, I might even go to the Belmont Stakes if possible. I am not abandoning drawing, but I just can't focus on three things at the same time (school, photography and drawing), I know I suck, but I just can't do so much, I have to keep a B average if I am to become a Veterinarian, which I WILL DO.

On other news I forgot to mention that I am working at the Equine Research Park here at Cornell. Waking up early and doing lots of work, but I'm sure enjoying it. We have two adorable colts at the moment that ou fall in love with, unfortunately they eventually leave . I took a few photographs of the place using my Rebel Ti, I think I'll get the film back tomorrow. A word on my inexperience with photography: I got these nice poses from the colts, which took a while, and then I noticed that since I had my camera on manual I had overexposed all the shots! Hopefully they are salvageable. Well, I think that's it for now. I better catch up on my reading if I have a chance of getting a B this semester, not proud of myself at the moment.
