I pretty much just didn’t want to get out of my warm bed to go and have to spend at least 15 minutes scraping all the ice off of my car (after the 5 minute walk to get to it). But, I somehow motivated myself… which is how I’m putting this down right now.

So I’m currently in the middle of my final semester for my Bachelor’s degree. My senior project is kicking my butt. I’m in the middle of research – which is turning out to be much harder than I had originally planned on :sigh: But I’m grinding it out. I’ve also just gotten back into riding after a year and a half break. I’m going to get to show my horse Mira this year. I can’t wait until my first show at the end of April. I’ve waited so long for her to get old enough for me to ride her – and now that time is here

I found out about my new workgroup today. I’m in a group with some really talented artists. It really motivates me to want to draw more. I want to get better, and I want to keep expanding. So hopefully I will get some art out soon.

Mira was pretty well behaved at the show... especially for a three year old. Mira took Reserve Champion in the Junior Horse (3-4 year olds) hunter pleasure division. I couldn’t be more proud. I also can’t wait until next year when I show her myself. I think that she is going to make an awesome 4-year old. (You can see pictures of Mira and my trainers in my gallery).

I also just got back from Las Vegas. I went out to support my boyfriend while he was playing pool with his team in the APA league team National event. They ended up taking 9 out of 700 0.o I am so proud!!

My fall semester just started again as well... but the good news is that I should hopefully (cross my fingers) graduate with my B.S. degree in Information Systems this upcoming April. Hopefully this will mean that I will have more time to devote to drawing.

Harry Potter was of course the largely anticipated event for this past weekend. I got my copy in the mail on Saturday afternoon (I had to wait patiently – patiently meaning spending my entire first half of the day staring out at the window just waiting for the mailman to come – cuz I’m dorky like that... and I like it that way) I was both happy and sad to complete the Harry Potter journey. The ending was better than I expected, but I still feel like there are a lot of unanswered questions.

Saturday night I made an executive decision – which as of right now is turning out better than I expected.

Sunday was a pretty mellow day overall. Played some billiards, went to dinner, and was surprised (in a good way) again.

I’m merely hoping that my decision to give someone a second chance is worth putting my heart on the line (and I haven’t regretted it yet...). Doing so, has also allowed me to see who some of my true friends really are. I am saddened by the lack of support I have received in my recent decision, but I am also uplifted by the new friend I have seemed to gain.

To him: My heart no longer grieves - and if its possible, I think I have found a deeper degree of love for you.

I’m still in my spring semester at Hopkins (which goes until the end of June). I start my summer classes tomorrow night – and they take me until mid-August, when I start my fall semester at Hopkins again. :sigh: School feels interminable to me sometimes. I bask in the solace that at this time next year I will have my Bachelors in hand.

I’m working on some drawings (which I’m only going to give you the tease of... since one or two of them are gifts). I have been managing to fit in some sketching during class though (because I’m a bad student like that ). Obviously I’ve been toting my camera around with me, and for now I think that most of my updates will be of the photographic nature.

It wasn’t bad enough that I found out how serious my own problems really are...

And now, my horse just wants to make my stress levels complete by throwing her own little temper tantrum, seriously hurting herself in the process.

I only wonder what else is going to be put on my plate. All of my current issues are unresolved, so they are constantly on my mind. Sleep is a precious gift that I do not seem to be receiving.

My only thought now is what next?

I don’t know what’s been wrong with me recently. Maybe I’ve been swept up in love…. I see my best friend – the happiest she’s ever been. I see my other friend in a mood that I’ve never seen her in. And when I think about it all, I think I’m swept up in the love. The giddy, you can’t stop smiling, can’t sit still, can’t think straight, can’t function without this person. Love seems to be my muse at the moment. I can’t say that I mind. Have I been bitten by the love bug? Possibly. To early to say in my case. As for those around me… the love is all around. Maybe its just the oncoming of Valentines day and the passing of the holidays that brings this out. Maybe it’s just my silly romantic notions, and the romantic novels I’ve been reading. But I’d like to think that there is more behind it. Everyone deserves to be happy, ecstatically so if possible. Even if I’m not there yet, just seeing those around me at that point is exhilarating. I think that I’ve slowed down… even if it’s just a little bit. I realize the world around me more. And I like that. Will this be permanent? Will I be able to overcome my inhibitions? Could this be love, or turn into love?

dun dun dun... and the plot thickens!

Umm so ya, I have a whole week off from school b/c I will be taking a summer semester at the college. 2 classes over the summer so that I can still hopefully finish up at the Community college in my 2 years. So my first class starts a week from tomorrow, which really sucks...
On a good note, I do get to go to Ocean City this weekend for the Car Cruise (a whole lot of suped up muscle cars... oh hell ya). I am hoping to get some good pics, which of course I will share, and I am also hoping to get some ... (I am so pasty pale... )
I am really behind on my drawings... I have this one piece that is really giving me problems, but I hope to get it finished sometime here on my week off (... umm... don't quote me on that...) But thanks you guys for all the support, and I'll be talking to ya when I get back!

(which consequently tore up my hands... and this is not to be considered as the good part of my day). But, then I went to my boyfriends house and he gave me some of the CD's I had really wanted like Evanesence, and Kelly Clarkson's new CD. He also gave me a plush Mokona (from Magic Knight Rayearth). It is so cute! It is my favorite thing now!
Saturday I was a judge for my old school's competition for their Internetworking contest... which was a whole lot of work... but it was fun getting to see some of my old classmates again!
And today (Sunday), I had a riding lesson, which went awesome. Plus my parents and me 'n my boyfriend went out to eat for my birthday. We went this Japanese themed resturaunt called Sakura's. It was awesome! It's the kind of place where they prepare the food on the stove in front of you. I can't believe how skilled that guy was with both fire and knives!
... but anyway, that was my weekend... and I just felt like sharing b/c it was so incredible!(on a side note: ... AND I'm sure that by now you are sick of reading the word awesome...)

Not to mention work. Work isn't bad... it just takes up that time I used to spend sitting at home doing whatever, including working on my ideas... but I do like the money. Not to mention everyone has been getting sick recently, and I think that I'm coming down with something. So, that just adds to the increasingly big heap of my grrrrr......

Anyway, I should be happy cuz my b-day is coming up. I'll be 19. (yes, I know that my profile already says that I'm 19... I just didn't feel like having to change it later). So thinking about that at least cheers me up!

I just feel like I have really improved in my art over the past years... and that makes me happy. I know that I might never get to the point where my art looks professional, but I just love to draw! And that is all that matters! I'll be trying to fit in some new art after my paper is done next week. Maybe I'll get something before then... but, that looks kinda doubtful.
