This past month there was a great article on John McCain in Rolling Stone, that was written by one of my favorite journalists Matthew Tabbi. In it he, goes into the transformation of John McCain as well as into his oh-so-lonesome head of his. It's a good read and pretty funny too.

Here is an excerpt of the article that I like inwhich McCain shows us his love for that asshole Joel Osteen. Enjoy!

McCain's transformation is so complete that at a recent town-hall meeting in Nashville, when asked to name an author who inspired him, the candidate — who once described televangelists of the Jerry Falwell genus as "agents of intolerance" — put none other than Joel Osteen at the top of his list. "He's inspirational," McCain said.

Standing at the meeting, I didn't write Osteen's name down in my notebook — apparently because my brain refused on some level to accept that McCain had actually said it. Of all the vile, fake, lying-ass, money-grubbing shyster scumbags on the face of this planet, there is perhaps none more loathsome than Osteen, a human haircut with plastic baseball-size teeth who has made a fortune selling the appalling only-in-America idea that terrestrial greed is actually a form of Christian devotion. "God wants us to prosper financially, to have plenty of money, to fulfill the destiny He has laid out for us," Osteen once wrote. This is the revolting, snake-oil-selling dickhead that John McCain actually chose to pimp as number one on his list of inspirational authors. So much for "go, sell everything you have and give to the poor," and all that other hippie crap from the New Testament.

You can read the article here: [link]

What in the fuck is going on here?! DeviantART deleted my ultra amazing, super cool, anti-dickhead drawing, "War Porn".. AGAIN! AND IT WAS THE CENSORED VERSION! ARGH!!

..and this time, I didn't get a reason! No "erect penis", no nothing! It just says some fucker thought it was offensive and (for whatever reason) it was against their code of terms.

Oh, well. Guess I'll have to upload the "MySpace" version, which is so edited you might as well just continue having your head shoved up your ass so you don't learn anything.

..Hm. Maybe it was taken down because it's an election year. I didn't realize anybody under the age of 40 actually liked John McCain. Especially in the site like this?

Haha, oh.. silly Republican morons, just wait till you see the new shit I have been doing. Might as well ban me from this dump because your patriarcal heros; Dick Cheney, Joel Osteen, George Bush, and Jerry Farwell (glad he's dead) are all going to get raped.

..and there will be no choice.

lol! I'm actually amazed my latest drawing, "War Porn" (which insulted Republican asshole, John McCain and the people who support him) was able to last for more than 3 days.

It was weird. I'm pretty sure I offended one of you twats who visit my page, cause for whatever reason.. 3 days after "War Porn" premired, "Fuck My Face" was deleted by a DeviantART admin. They didn't give me a reason for that one. It just made me laugh. I'm having to much fun being on vacation, I just had to laugh it off.

But now, it seems "War Porn" was deleted by a DeviantART admin. lollerskates, indeed.

This time they gave me a reason. They said there was an "erect penis" and that it violated whatever weird code of conduct that this hentai site currently practices. It all makes sense now since "Fuck My Face" was deleted.

You guys know there was also a vagina in "War Porn" right? ..and rockets were penetrating it, right? You all know I have "Incarcerated Dearest" still uploaded that features a woman nude, defiled, and brutally mutilated right? ..it's by far my most violent drawing uploaded here. Lucky for me, it's a woman.

..and it's okay to have a vagina and a woman brutally mutilated and raped because, it's normal and well.. us guys prefer to keep it that way.

I never understand how most woman can be so ignorant and judge other woman when at the end of the night, you're all just another pawn in a man's game. Ladies, take a good look at the administators of this hentai site, because they don't respect you at all. My artwork is a prime example of that. If you can't see it, then I know there is no hope for you.

Men, I hope you learned something from this. But I doubt it.

In closing, I'm glad I offended some of you. I challenged your mind and made you uncomfortable, something you so desperately avoid with your Playstation 3's, XBoX 360's, Bible's, and Grand Theift Auto IV. I know damn well I taught you all a lesson.

Oh, and I'm uploading the drawings again soon by the way. Idiots.

10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't):

1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.

2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."

3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.

4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."

5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.

6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.

7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."

8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.

9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."

10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.

Do something. Learn.
[link]
[link]
[link]
[link]

Radiohead, Trent Reznor, Madonna, Saul Williams, and soon more will follow. The music industry will die and we will enter an exciting time. With established artists such as Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, and a few others ditching their record contacts to be free agents, new and innovative ways to distribute music with the customer/fan in mind will be tested.

All year I thought 2007 was the best year in music in a long time. Now, it only gets better. Things are going to change. With the recent death of OiNK, the revolution is just about to begin.

As an artist there is usually a time when you hit a bump on the road that tumbles everything about you as a person. So to speak. For instance, I am sure everyone has their own personal belief of beliefs. However (every once in a while) an artist who strives to not only be better, but really tries to push the envelope in terms of who they are or what they are all about runs into a conflict that contradicts their own confort zone.

What's the point of this? Well, you see, mentally.. I am in a very bad shape. The artwork that I am currently doing and have been doing these past few weeks really reflects that. In a few of them, they even challenge and contradict who I am or what I really stand for as an individual. A few of these peices are some of the best work I've done, but only because of the price I had to shed out in order to create it. My artwork has always been about me and who I am, and these latest peices really talk to my audience. Some of these might also be my more controversial due to the subject matter or their explicit nature. In some instances, the artwork could very much be interpreted as pornography. Which would contradict the nature of who I want to be.

I think when I first started taking art serious back in 2001, I tried to shock my audience intentinally. But as I grew as a person and artist, I learned to better express myself without trying to cause a reaction. Now, it seems I have gone full circle on accident. The artwork scares even me. Not since my drawing "terminal illness" have I really touched dugged deep. The spark is back, but at the same time; there is a heavy price to it all.

I wonder, am I a slave to the art or is the art a slave to me? I don't know who is in control anymore. But maybe that was the point.

So, uh.. "die-hards" are bitching about the last episode? What's not to like? The show ended off in such a great way. I'm sure everyone who's hatin' on the finale expected the show to get extremely out of character by having a Scareface-esque kind of ending, or having Tony killed only to be viewed as a Jesus-type figure. But you know what, the show didn't cater to you. It was an amazing episode to an amazing show.

It was perfect and I don't think it could have been done any different.
It's like in Lord of War staring Nick Cage. "I would tell you to go to hell, but I think you're already there."

Hi. If I can spare a few moments of your time, that would be nice. This isn't any commentary of my artwork or poems so you're safe for now. I have recently come across this essay written about how pornography has and is ruining society. (Yes, I know. Please, don't exit the window just yet. I need to say something and I would like you to read it.)

The Essay ---> [link]

I feel this should be required reading for both men and women of any age group wether it be pre-teens, teenagers, adults, or senior citizens. There is explicit imagry through words and vulgar language within that essay, but anybody who has seen a porno movie or knows of them has nothing to worry about. It's nothing out of the ordinary. You know, I see videos and documentaries about wars in far off countries and how goverments are behind certain tragic events and those movies are described as, "required viewing" for you will be "rudely awaken", yet a topic of this nature never seems to ever get in the lime light.

I have this fear that I will get only about two or three comments in this journal entry. I feel this topic, this examination about the demeaning form of entertainment towards women will be over looked or not given the time of day. This needs to be read and to be spread throughout. Men and Women need to open their eyes and realizes that pornography is a big problem.

I pointlessly contributed to such a filthy act when I was a teenager. I used to be a monster and have been trying to become a better person these past several months. I used women and was a horrible individual to many females in my own life. I justified being a rapist.

I urge anybody in my watch list or person browsing my art to take the time out and read the link I posted. The unfortunate truth of all of this, I will most likely not get much of a male audience about this subject, but I would at least like to get through to the women. Women, you can not let men like me try and justify us degrading you in the fashion that we do. You are not sex objects and you are not the lesser of the two sexes. You were not put on this Earth for your boyfriend or husband to fuck you or use you. For the later part of my teens I thought I wasn't doing any harm, but I was stupid.

Anybody who will dismiss the essay because they do not agree is stupid, just like I was. You know? Political artists here in DeviantART want our troops back. Some artists believe President Bush is bad because we concentrate on other countries and not on our own. They say we have our own battles to fight in our own soil, well.. guess what? This is one of those battles. If not, this is the battle.

Please, read it. Comment on it. Spread it. If not for me or yourself, then do it for your gender. Your mother, sister, and unborn child.
Watchya signing against? Well (in the words of renowned artist, and animal cruelty activist Kay Ciesielczyk); “We are against the process, neglect, and "preparation" butchers do with their animals. Good meat is clean meat, not tortured and mistreated.”

Basically what this petition means is, it is against is the horrible acts of tortured committed against dogs, all for their meat. It’s a good cause, and it’d be nice to see the goal met. It goes a long way.

Without further adue, here is what I have to say..

What is your name/age?
George/20

How long have you been an artist?
Supposedly I have been drawing since I was 2 years old. (Yep, that's what my family says.) But alas, it was just fan art of either Batman, Ninja Turtles, and Sonic the Hedgehog. It wasn't until 2001 that I actually got more serious about my art. I feel that after 2001 I started to develop my own way of doing things. The direction I took my art was a lot more different than it used to be, and it only continued changing; getting more complicated and developed as the years have gone by. (Atleast, I like to think so.)

Do you remember your first drawing?
Not at all. It was most likely a Batman drawing though. Either that, or a Ninja Turtles drawing.

What is your favorite thing to create?
Being influenced by several different concept albums by rock bands, most my work (that isn't featured here in DeviantART) is dominated by a continuous storyline that only gets bigger and larger with each drawing. It's some-what abstract, but at the same time tells a lot about myself and my views whether they be political, religious, or personal beliefs. I guess that's my favorite thing to create. Despite my work being so brutely honest, (and leaving me so vulnerable to my audience) the feeling of being honest with myself means a lot to me.

What is your favorite style of art?
I love stuff that comes from the heart. That means something more, and bigger than the artist. I like political stuff too. Distroted, missplaced, disfigured stuff is pretty neat. Most of it seems rather cliche' and most of the time it is, but once in a while you'll get that rebel who really voices his opinion to a far bigger scale. That's the kind I like. And for fantasy work, well.. Kay Ciesielczyk is the best fantasy artist I know of. Her creatures are not only original, but very memorable.

What is your favorite medium of art?
Traditional artwork. Mixed Media is great too. I love when a lot of traditional stuff gets mixed into one whole drawing. Very rarely will I like digital stuff. I think Riana Miller's stuff is about the only thing I like in terms of digital.

What inspires you, outside of other artwork?
Rock 'N Roll. Also movies, sometimes.

Whose artwork inspires you?
JC's writings are great. Captures a lot of emotion, and intensity. Riana Miller's stuff is neat, because she actually has attends protests and things like that. I would love to do that one day. Kay's work is so colorful and vibrante, I wish I could use color like that. I sometimes try to mimick her stuff, but it never comes out right. James Black of Finger Eleven also inspires me. It's abstract, but not to off the wall, and I like that. His work also compliments his music, which is a big plus.

Who seems to appreciate your art the most?
Kay, JC, and some of the people who have me on their watch.

Do you do anything artistically, outside of your main art form of choice?
I write. A lot of my original artwork (since there is a deep story behind it all) needs to have a lot of scenarios and words written out so you could better understand it. Also, some of my poems go along with what I draw.

What does your family think of your art?
I draw portraits of famous faces, and I show those off a lot easier than I do with my more original work. Many people seem to like those drawings. They like the Green Day and Suzanne Vega portraits the most.

What do your friends think?
I think they like them. Kay has seen most of my work (the ones that aren't here in DeivantART) and she seems to like those. She really wants me to finish these two drawings I've been doing for the past year called, "Throwing Up Water & Acid" and "Migraine".

Do you have original artwork from others in your home?
Not really. I will soon have some of Kay's though, I'm going to assume. : P

Do you have a place to feature your own artwork?
DeviantART, SheezyART, and of course my personal web gallery over at Geocities, that I seem to plug in every single entry that I do here in DeviantART.

Where do you go to create your art?
Um, my house. Yeah..

What are you most proud of about your art?

The following are some little tibits and information for those of you (those very few of you) who actually read my poem, "His Story". [link] It's a poem I'm very proud of, and there are seveal (very useless) things about "His Story" that I want to share with you that weren't in the descrption. (Read only if you are very bored.)

- Aside from Green Day’s music (and overall human frustration/emotions) my other influences (specifically) were Quentin Tarantino and his movies, Michel Gondry’s style in film, System of a Down’s “Mezmerize/Hypnotize” album, Pink Floyd, as well as Trent Reznor’s music.

- For those of you who pay attention, (or have actually read my poem “3”) you would have noticed that “3” dealt with the character’s act of suicide, and his critique (or feelings) about it after his death. It was the “Goodbye” or the “Ending” to “his” story. This poem, “His Story”, deals with why he does what he does. After living a life in ignorance and denial, he begins to discover the truth and meets other characters and soon prepares for what will be his own undoing.

- “His Story” shows you the several different characters that are present throughout my original drawings. (“The Boy”, “The Narrator”, “The Messenger” ..ect.) They are all apart of this huge storyline that I have in my head. : P Though, I must point out that this poem “His Story” (while it references many things in my art) does not follow the original story that I have planned. This is a different take on, “The Boy”, “The Messenger”, and “The Narrator”. Not sure if anybody will understand what I’m saying with that, but screw it.. I have to say it anyway.

:: Further Deeper inside “His Story”::

- “It’s Hard, Isn’t It?” is one of the more personal acts on this poem. If anything, it’s the most straight to the point, and not so general. It also comes off as a very angry, yet depressing poem. When writing this act, the whole thing just flowed almost perfectly. I had no idea it was going to so sad or depressing. I read it now, and I get some what emotional or teary-eyed. A lot of what is said on it is very personal to me, and puts me at a very vulnerable state. Despite it’s meaning, I felt it was the perfect opener for this poem. There was just something so catchy and promising about the lines, “It’s Hard, Isn’t it?” followed by a few powerful sentences. I’ve always felt that Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia”, opens up very powerful, and very memorable. I felt that starting “His Story” with a very broad question was distinctive enough to do just that.

- “It’s Hard, Isn’t it?” was the second act I finished for “His Story”

- If you hadn’t noticed by now, Act II: “Hello Blue Sky” is a reference to Pink Floyd’s “Goodbye Blue Sky”. Not only is it referenced as a name, but also in the lyrics. Pink Floyd’s “Goodbye Blue Sky” has the lyrics, “Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs?” whereas my poem is denying there ever was any “frightened ones” or “falling bombs”. The denial and over all “ignorance in bliss” go along with the story that I’m trying to convey.

- “My Heart, It Has No Place” is like a punk song. The lines and stanzas aren’t that technical and it feels like an angst-filled teenager wrote it. That was the point I suppose. If I had to give it a sound it could most likely sound like the Green Day’s song, “She’s a Rebel” or better yet, “I Don’t Care”. It’s also the only Act in the poem to use the word, “Fuck”.

- When doing the poem, there had been a very cryptic and random act dealing with sex, masturbation, and (to quote) “bicycles gangbanging angry pencils”. (Yes, that is one of the lines.) It was very strange, random, and just didn’t flow together with what I was trying to convey. Needless to say, I decided to can the idea altogether. (Had this unreleased act been in the finished product, it would have been after “My Heart, It Has No Place”.)

- Act V: “My Love. Always, Forever, & Never” was the last act that I wrote for “His Story”.

- Act VI: “Look What I’ve Built” originally started as a drawing than an actual poem. Unfortunately, the drawing was never finished, but it was basically the poem only in picture form. It was everything I wrote, only drawn. Though, I can say that in the drawing you were actually able to see the “gift to the world” the wooden figure was holding. That’s left up for interpretation, so I won’t say what it is. : P

- The final act (“The Beginning of the Ending”) was the very first act I completed for “His Story”.

- In the final act, “The Beginning of the Ending” the line; “Like the Marfans in my frail frame” deals with one of the characters illnesses. Marfans Syndrome is a disorder that affects the bones as well as several other things in ones body. The manifestati...

I wanted to inform the very few of you who actually visit my little DeviantART page about a song collaboration I did with my best friend, JC “SFX” Garcia. The song is called, “Cold December” and is a part of his lyrical album, “Art of Deception” (which, as of right now is one song away from being finished). “Cold December” includes two verses written by me, as well as lyrics of his own. (Hence, why it’s called a collaboration.)

You can check it out over at his SheezyART page. [link]

Notes & Commentary on “Cold December”

While, the song was posted just recently, my verses had been done since late September. (September 21st, to be exact.) We had both wanted to collaborate on a song/poem since early that month, but I think both of us didn’t know the direction to take it too. He was going through some of his own personal battles at the moment, and I to had been doing my own thing. Putting our thoughts and lyrics together was going to be rather difficult, since I believe we both had two totally different ideas; and we weren’t sure exactly what would come out of it. Needless to say, I felt my portions of the lyrics were some what unfinished, but I didn’t know what else to do? Should my verses be longer? Shorter, even? I had to be content with what I had written.

JC has this amazing talent of writing some really great, catchy, and amazing rock songs and ballads. When he first pitched the idea to me, I was already intimidated. For those of you kiddos who keep up with his work, it’s really hard trying to top anything that he writes. You read his songs, and automatically you can hear it in your head. You can picture the guitars, the vocals, the emotion and the overall energy. Personally, I felt my parts were doomed from the start. There was no way I could have held my own against his writing. But, with that said I tried my best.

The final outcome of the song, I feel is fantastic. He took his time on it, and it looks like he really tried to work hard with what I had written. (I guess you can say, I sort of limited him to a few things.) In the end, he took an interesting direction with “Cold December”. I don’t believe either one of us saw the finished product like this back in September. The song gives off this Linkin Park type of vibe, and it works really well. His rhyming, choice of words, and over all flow is extraordinary. The completed product reminds me of songs like “I’ve Seen It All” by Bjork & Thom Yorke, and to some freaky extent, “Guilty Concisions” by Eminem & Dr. Dre. I don’t know why, but it does. Ha ha.

All in all, the song shaped up rather well. It’s great to see what he did with what I had written. As I said, I don’t think he nor I would have ever thought the song would have sounded this way. I really think you all should check it out if you are interested. It’s good to be a part of something great.

Nine Inch Fuckin' Nails rocked the SBC Center Sunday (the 16th) at San Antonio, Texas.. and it was just an all around great show! This show was just utterly fantastic, and basically blew me away! I had no idea what to expect from them. I went in with an open mind, and let me tell you.. Trent and the boys do not disappoint! The entire band was so energetic. Trent was into it. The bassist, the guitarist. The only one I didn't pay much attention to was the drummer, but I'm sure he was great. I heard no problems from him.

The show started with the song "Love Is Not Enough" which was being performed inside a see-through netting that surrounded the entire stage. Not bad for an introduction, considering that I find that song to be the weakest off the With Teeth album. But, hearing live totally sounds better than the CD version. After that, the see-through netting fell, and BAM! ..Trent and the boy ripped into "You Know What You Are?", which made me go insane! "You Know What You Are?" is my favorite song off With Teeth, and it just pumped me up. I screamed, and danced/raged to mostly their entire set after that. "The Line Begins To Blur" was also a nice little treat. While, I would have liked to heard more Fragile era tracks, but it was good to hear a lot of the new material live, because if anybody who has the "And All That Could Have Been" DVD, they pretty much know what to expect from songs like "The Frail", "Terrible Lie", and "The Wretched". So, it was good to hear/see the new songs being performed live. "March of the Pigs" was done amazingly. I went a little to insane in that one. Ha ha. It was nice. I probably wasn't the loudest when it came to screaming, and singing like my friend Gina, (who I could hear her screaming from the top of her lungs through the entire concert) but I made up for it in erotic dancing, raging, and venting. Ha ha, "erotic dancing".. boy, am I a weird kiddo. : P

"Closer" is an Nine Inch Nails track that is a bit to overrated, in a sense that they have much better songs out there, but it was a huge hit. However, you forget about all of that when you see it live. That song had me pretty horny for a certain somebody (I think she knows who she is.) I felt like a stripper during that song. There was a lot touching.. and moving.. swaying.. and.. uh, yeah.. lol, my brother looked pretty embarrassed. lol!

For the songs "Eraser", "Right Where It Belongs", and "Beside You In Time" the see-through netting came back down to cover up the entire stage. On the netting, they projected some pretty wicked imagery. During “Eraser” it was images of insects moving, killing, working, and some pictures of lizards, plants, and other exotic wild-life. “Right Where It Belongs” was definitely different than that of the album version. The song was performed without a piano and focused more on the distortion sound that you can hear on the CD. During that song they showed images of dead bodies, soldiers killing, one video of a man holding a gun to a little girls head. I’m almost sure during that scene the entire audience felt really disturbed. You can feel the emotion that was going on in the venue. “Beside You In Time” was jaw dropping. I don’t think I can describe that performance without you not knowing what the hell I am talking about. That song, along with the graphics, and special effects was fuckin’ mind blowing. Talk about a mind fuck. It was amazing, let’s just leave it at that.

“Wish” was so much fun. Good to see it live by Nine Inch Nails for once. Ha ha. I say that because when I saw Linkin Park in concert, they performed a rendition “Wish” (which was really faithful to the original), and it was good to finally see Trent and his crew blow us away with it. “Sin” is such a fun song. I love it. I hope he doesn’t stop playing this song live, it had me jumpy and venting. “Only” turned me on.. *drools* Doesn’t that bass guitar sound in “Only” make you all horny and fired up? ..it does to me. : O

“Hurt” was just amazing. Nothing like the DVD, and nothing like the way you’ve seen it done before. Trent was on the center of the stage, with his little piano. All lights just on him.. as he sang the song. The entire arena sang so loud, they sort of over shadowed Trent’s voice, at times. It was like when I saw Green Day, and the entire crowed sang every word to “Time Of Your Life”. It was like that. So intimate. So special. A sea of lighters during the entire song. Towards the final chorus of the song, the band came in to join Trent and give the song more instrumentation. ‘Twas beautiful.

After applause and cries after “Hurt”, the band kicked into what made everyone go in a fuckin’ frenzy. “The Hand That Feeds” had everybody in the arena head banging away. I think I was going too insane in that song, that I stepped on my brothers’ foot, and then I fell down. It was hilarious really. Ha ha. Finally, after “The Hand That Feeds” they...

The following are some notes and commentary about my poem, “3”.

There are a few things about this poem that I didn’t address in my description, so for those of you that care; here are some notes and a few little elements about it that I want to share with you. I ain’t going to give away everything, as I feel some things are left to interpret for yourselves, but here are a few things to take into consideration and that I want to note about my poem, “3”.

- Unlike some of my poems, this one came out very, very, natural. It didn’t take a long time to write up, and it isn’t very polished like some of my other poems (which, you might not have read, but that’s okay).

- This poem is for an original drawing of mine that I have yet to complete. With that said, there is a constant concept that dominates most of my material. So a lot of the lines do reflect the reoccurring characters that are found in my drawings. It also continues the symbolism that’s found throughout my pieces of work.

- I liked the comment Trixiebell made about the poem being romantic, yet also sad. I really wanted to go for some-what of a confusing feeling. I didn’t want to have an entire poem be romantic, nor an entire poem being depressing. I did not what to have the drawing be one or the other, it had to be both, if not a lot more. Sort of like the way Quentin Tarantino did the scene in “Kill Bill vol. 1” in which Uma Thurman’s character slices the scalp off of Lucy Liu’s character in the final fight scene. You knew Lucy Liu’s character was defeated and dead, yet the scene was crafted in a way that it felt funny, and to some extent disturbing. Not only that, but you also began to feel sad for her; considering the life she lived, and everything that went on with her. But, you also felt good that she died, taking into account what her character did to Uma Thurman’s character. I heard in a interview that’s what Mr. Tarantino went for, and it’s something I also enjoy doing very much when it comes to drawing original stuff, and writing original poems.

- The poem begins a lot like the way some of my favorite indie film’s begin and end. Meaning the first four lines of “3” connect with the last three lines of the poem. Notice how those particular lines don’t go together with the lines that make up the body of the poem. Basically, the last three lines are supposed to be the beginning. So the poem ends at the start.

- All the stanzas in the poem are four lines, for the exception of the final one. It only has three.

- The line, “he has the only pistol left on the face of the earth” is about a hand gun that “a god like” creature/character in my artwork has. He’s the creator, and he has the only known gun on the face of the universe. It is not known how many bullets he has, and he keeps this weapon a secret from everybody else, even from his two sons.

- The line, “i love you, but he still holds a grudge” is a reference to my original drawing/poem, “He Still Hold’s a Grudge”. That drawing in itself is also abstract, and I won’t go into it. You can view the drawing here: [link] (Contains depictions of decapitation, mutilation, gore, graphic language, and a good amount of disturbing material.)

- The line, “maybe I’m just crazy in the head” was adapted from a lyric to a song I had been listening to at the time I was writing “3”. The song is “Drive” by REM, and the lyric goes “Maybe you're crazy in the head, baby.” I love the song, and the way Michael Stipe expresses it. I couldn’t help but feel that I had to reference it in this specific poem.

- The poem “3” is for a three part drawing called “I would rather be the homeless man with his perfect guitar, than your everything.” (I mentioned it in the description.) The title is a reference to an old poem my friend Gina Garcia wrote, entitled, “The Perfect Guitar”. That poem she wrote happens to be a reference to the painting “Le Vieux Guitariste” by the famous Pablo Picasso. “Le Vieux Guitariste” was done during Picasso’s blue period, and you can view the painting here: [link]

Well, that’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed the poem. Unlike some things I create, I’m actually rather proud of “3”. It was one of the very few poems that I did, that came out so natural, and it just blended in together so well. If you kiddos have any questions, feel free to ask. : ) Thanks again for supporting what I do. It makes me feel like there are people who actually understand where I’m coming from, and it doesn’t feel like what I do is worthless. So, thank you all so much. It means a lot to me.

Oh, man. The Green Day concert last night in San Antonio, Texas was fucking fantastic! It has got to be the best concert I have ever been too, by far. The boys played for almost two hours! ..and they really tore it up. It was so much fun. I cut loose in almost all the songs played, but none as much as “Brainstew”. You see, lately, I haven’t been feeling all that great inside, and I’ve been rather depressed and over all lost. So, when “Brainstew” came on, I couldn’t help but relate to it. I screamed along to the lyrics and just let out all my frustrations that I have had stored up inside me. Oh, what a stress reliever that was. Had I not been in the seats, I would have most certainly joined a mosh pit. It was really, what I needed. Thank you Green Day. : )

The band started out with the song, “American Idiot”, and went on to “Jesus of Suburbia”, which got everyone crazy. There were explosions and tons of fire everywhere in some of the songs. I love how the Billie Joe yells over the opening riff to Holiday by saying, “This song is not anti-American! It’s anti.. WAR!”, and bam! ..the song gets under way. I also liked how they extended the bridge, and how he said, “..the representative of Texas, now has the floor..” So, awesome. In that part, I put my leg on the seat in front of me and screamed along. “Hitchin’ a Ride” was so awesome. They extended every single song they played. But, boy does Billie Joe and the band know how to get the crowd moving! ..it was great.

For the song, “Knowledge” (Operation Ivy cover), Billie was looking for three people to come up on stage and do the song with him. He wanted a drummer, a bassist, and a guitarist. Everyone was freaking out. He got a drummer, and got a female bassist. Mike Dirnt taught her the notes, and Tre taught the drummer what to play. It took awhile looking for a guitarist, because the first kid didn’t know how to play, he clearly only wanted to be on stage. After they took that kid off stage, Billie finally found another dude to help him. He knew his stuff. He was so happy to be on stage, and be with Green Day, so Billie kissed him on the lips!! I thought that was friggin’ funny! Everyone was cracking up. After the song, Billie said, “You can keep the guitar. It’s yours now.” Everyone was like, “WOAH!!” ..then Billie was like, “Okay, now get the fuck off my stage, asshole!” ..which I thought was funny.

Man, there is so much to get into, but.. you had to be there to really understand it. It was amazing. The Queen cover was fucking great.. and they ended the show with an electric version of “Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)”

..what a night. I needed this concert. It was magnificent. I recommend everybody to go check out their live show, you will not regret it.
