[link] - It's cool to see an hourglass figure at this sort of size. Most gals drawn this size are more evenly rounded. Hooray for variety.

This one's easy because he only has three deviations. Cowboy Bebop and Teen Titans are pretty damn sweet and their combination with flabbiness is to be encouraged. I'd work on the descriptions and characterisations a bit, they're good for shorter, quick-shot fics like these.

Eh, I just wanted to hear your two cents about this whole thing. I think some of Gain-Over's fans may be jumping the gun a little bit. I think that sort of thing is better saved for people who dismiss his stuff on the basis of it's content rather than someone trying to offer constructive crit.

I'm also worried that by voicing a little disappointment with the frequent commenter/favers, I look like one of those artists who gets a few hundred thousand views and thinks he's King Bastard of Awesome Mountain. I respect all your support these many years, whether it's favourites, comments or criticism but I have to say you guys kinda' baffle me sometimes. It seems a little strange to me that several commenters in the journal have said they prefer the similar poses. This implies that they honestly wouldn't want to see any pose variation in his stuff and again, that outright baffles me.

On a related note, I suggest, but not command, that you guys comment a little more on 's stuff. A recent pic by him has 134 favourites to just 28 comments and that makes me a sad puppy, as he's one of the best artists around this community at the moment.

On the positive side of all this, being involved in a little drama probably means I'm being successful in my attempts to be a little more involved in the community. Yay for me.

Most of what I want to say, I put in one of my latest pic descriptions so i'll use the magic of computers to paste it here:

I thought it was finally time to move on from Flash, so i've been practising again with Photoshop and mi tabletto. After a few bad experiences last year everything I did turned out pretty (read: very) half-assed for a long while so I thought I'd try for a little more detail and a slightly more dynamic pose. I hope it shows.
Much thanks to the eminent who was a great source of inspiration.

I'm still gathering what requests I can recall together, plus I have an embarassingly late art trade with which I want to redo for reasons stated at the beginning of this here message. Hopefully the improvement will make the sequence worth the wait, for which I apologise profusely.

So I'm working on some awesome new stuff, including a couple of trades and a series of illustrations for one of 's stories, look out for 'em.

In other news, i saw a test screening of Evan Almighty, the sequel to Bruce Almighty, the laughs are slightly thinner on the ground but it's still a pretty good film, though i didn't laugh as much as i did in the other test screening i got.

This is not a good thing for the flick because it's a horror-thriller.

So with all that, i fixed my connection and got my PC back at last, and as you may have noticed, i'm clearing out my gallery into the scraps pile and making a fresh start.

I'm starting to draw in Flash again, since i'm really bummed out on photodeluxe and i found a really nifty colouring style that i think works (though i'll let you be the judge.)

On the horizon is a couple of trades with Zanza, a colouration of Zanza's end of one of our trades, my end of a trade with Scottronnica and a few loose ends and requests i want to tie up.

After that, i'm planning to start releasing new pictures mono/biweekly, redoing certain older pictures from my gallery while slipping in a few originals here and there, hope you look forward to it and thanks for your support and appreciation over the years up to this point!


Here's a few plugs for some fellow artists, first there's , who has produced a huge amount of quality pictures, and really deserves more pageviews for that, so be sure to check him out, especially if you're a decent colourist.

Despite claiming to be 35% faster than my old one, it moves like a doped-up snail and disconnects at random intervals for long periods of time, so basically i barely got this update down.
