it is 3:39 in the morning and i can't sleep so i got on the cpu. i'm listening to 3 doors down and it's making me emo. i'm gettin' all depressed.

well, i did my first gig today. see, i'm in this band called duk tape and we performed today at 4 at seminole music and sound. woah it's been almost 12 hours.
we had a five song set. our intro was we will rock you by queen. we transitioned to beverly hills by weezer in the middle of a chorus because it suprises the audience and the two songs have the same basic beat and tempo. then we did Low Rider. then van morisson's Brown Eyed Girl. we ended with outside by staind.

i'm getting a dvd of the event and so i might post it on youtube. if i do i'll put an update in my journal with a link.

k, now it's 3:54 and i can't think of anything else stupid and useless to babble about. so, i guess i'll talk later.

okay, a while back i submitted one of my poems into an ameteur poetry contest from the International Library of Poetry.

i just got a letter from them.

i made it to the semifinals.

and they liked it enough to want to publish it in the newist book they are making.

tthat's right. I'M BACK!!!!!!!!

i went on a trip to kentucy and had no internet connection. actually i had no access to any king of technology. no phone service either.

but i still got some pictures, even though my camera is broken. before i went i dug an old Olympus Infinity 35mm film camera out of a closet. i ended up using 9 rolls of film with 24 exposures on each.

i got quite a few nice shots and many will be on here in a while.

you guys really have me busy now though. i came back to 56 deviations and 59 messages.

i took it to school to take pictures of my friends and got runinto at lunch. i watched as my camera fell towards the floor to its eminent demise. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the built in lens is broken. it got basicly turned sideways when it landed. if i knew who ran into me i would, i would, I WOULD.........
probably not do anything.

on the other hand this did give me an excuse to get a better camera. my old one was only 7.1 megapixels and i want something higher. plus i need to be able to change more settings to be able to achieve better standards and more influential shots. i would also enjoy a manual focus, my old camera only had auto.

anywho........ i think that's it........... yeah................... okay..................see ya!!!!

MY RANT:
Technically, the definition of music is an arrangement of frequencies that is pleasing to the person hearing them. Noise is an arrangement of frequencies that is not pleasing to the person hearing it. Those are the definitions according to a scientific dictionary. Well, i don't find rap pleasing in any way. In fact, the only way it could be pleasing is by being so unpleasing that it makes the other types of music even better. But you can't even say, "the OTHER types", because since rap is not pleasing it is not a type of music itself. So, in conclusion, music is enhanced by a type of music which is not really music but is still called music and enhances real music.
