Now that I'm starting to ditch Facebook over concerns about my privacy, features being opt-out instead of opt-in, I've turned towards Google's fantastic new social network - Google+. And it's already starting to pay off. In the short time that I've had my page up, I've got more followers than I ever had on my Facebook page. Most of them are photographers themselves and the quality of their work is of a very high standard. It's quite refreshing.

So today I did it. I jumped out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet. It was THE MOST INTENSE THING EVER and I highly recommend it!

We got there at about 1:50pm and was greeted by Dot, a fellow co-worker, her husband and her daughter. We walked inside and met with the instructor. She introduced me to my tandem skydive partner and another guy who was jumping first. My mother and my two friends Jethro and Sam arrived soon after. It's now tomorrow afternoon at about 2pm! I've booked in and it's all confirmed -- I'm going to skydive!

Favebox 1.5 is here!

I pulled my finger out and over the last two days, have been re-working the Favebox website and some core mechanics. Favebox is now using adodb for it's database layer (meaning portability and simplified code), automatic ID generation (meaning you just need to enter in your dA name and that's it), dynamic code that lets me add new colours in a heartbeat and of course, some new colours and patterns for you to use in your journal :). Alright, so I went to see the movie. As George Bush Snr. said about his own memoirs "Good Memoirs. Good, not great". I've grown up with The Simpsons. Let me fill you in on what's been going on in my life.

Thursday marked my first week at my new job. It was boring as hell while I was settling in. A few people needed computer help, and I have 130+ computers to find, so I can note down the serial number for their big fault database. It's gonna take a looong time for that!

I start at 8:30 (however I need to be up at 5:50am if I catch the bus in, or 6:30 if I carpool) and finish at 4:30 (I get home at 6:00pm if I catch the bus home :ohnoes: ). I work 5 days a week, and don't get much time to myself.

Yesssir! In about 3 weeks time, I'll be an IT employee at the local catholic college. I secured the job this morning after a killer interview on Thursday. I'm on fire!
