so last night I had to stay after class to ask a few questions. Okay so Patrick made me watch some funny Dreamworks movies; Madagascar & the Bee Movie!

Cause the other's just would've fueled the fire...he's sooo smart!

Most peep's don't seem to understand why I color...well it's a stress reliever for me and it's fun! The day it stops, is when I stop. I enjoy working (collab'ing) with the wonderful artist's (friend's) I have her on DA.

And on occasion I have done requests as pressies, thank you's, and just because I'm a nice person.

I don't charge for my colors anymore- why? Because the economy is messed up and there is precious few things that make me smile lately- and some of my friend's don't have the moolah for it. And if it makes them Smile-that makes me feel good.

I don't charge that much, but still. So I take request's- look through my gallery and see what I like to color- guarantee that something I want to color will get done fastest. Or if you're a nice person that is polite and courteous, and ask "will you use these reference pix," yes, I will. But I'm not BK-you want it done completely your way and I'm going to charge you!

I still have my Professional Digital Retoucher title-and I make good money doing that on the side; starting rate $60 (unless your family and/or a good friend).

So I color for my friend's for free because it might bring them some joy to see something that they want colored has been done. No, I'm not a Professional colorist you want them-be prepared to pay their Prices and $60 ain't the starting price there. I Know!

However my stuff ain't that bad-in fact it's gotten better. Thanks to the love, support and friendship I have here.

so with all that in mind- request's will still be taken- but if you're a jerk, rude, inconsiderate or whatever- forget about it! Your's won't see the light of my computer screen! If you want it done a specific way and aren't nice-I will inform you of my cost's.

I feel bad for that idiot - if he had waited two more hours- his piece would've been done and to his "Specifications" that I finally got it just "so!" 3 weeks of work-just got deleted. Because I never want to see it again!

If you do want to make a request-please feel free; just remember 1)I am a married woman-my hubby does like to spend time with me off-the computer, 2)I'm a full-time Graduate student (classes start in a week or so), 3)I do have a 24 hour week Intern position starting this next week. So be Patient & Polite! You'd be amazed at what can happen when you're Nice!

Request's Rules
1 make sure you are the artist or have permission of the artist
2 make sure I have permission to post here on DA
** Make sure to let the artist know that I do credit them and give a link to their lineart. Thank you! (I don't want to have to delete an image-because of a ticked off artist!)
3 have references available for specific OC's (known character's like WW or Supergirl-trust me I have a reference libary for most Known Characters)
4 Be Patient!! If you want it done in a specific time frame-ask me nicely and I will see if I can accomodate it. Rush Jobs- for a Fee- I can rush it!
5 Be NICE!

okay I feel better now! Sorry that this seems stupid to me- I just thought that most of the above was common sense. Apparently not!
The thingie about the artist's- yeah, that was one of the other notes...apparently someone was "truth impaired" about the "ownership" of the art. Thank goodness, the artist talked to another artist that I have worked with in the past and has graciously allowed me to keep the work up on my site. As he was told that I always Seek Permission and always make sure to credit the Proper Artist's as the ARTIST! I'm only the colorist.

Hi!!

I'm not going to ask for your patience on my replying to all the stuff in my queue today-

I'm going to color all day, and possibly respond to some stuff.

I have some family coming over later to watch a movie marathon. Still trying to decide between the Harry Potter series, LOTR, Alien VS. Predator (including other sci-fi monsters), or.... have a Toss-up! That's when you put all the titles of the movies you want to watch into a hat and draw out the name of the first one, then after you watch that one, you do it again. Old family tradition of solving the argument who was going to watch what on the television. Unless Dad was home and he was in control of the remote. Grew up in a one television home.

and before the remote was invented- that was us kids.

oh yeah those fun days of childhood.

So anywho, I'm not ignoring anyone- I did go through and 'delete' some comments that we were done discussing-gosh I hope so. And got the queue down to 350-so far.

Doctor Who was close to $90 in store, and is only $30 on iTunes. Torchwood was $60 in store and only $26 online. Yeah, guess what I'll be doing later today?

Okay so by now you've all noticed I'm up and running again. Yay!

And I have over 500+ messages to answer/reply too- however I wanna color.

So here's my game plan; I color all day and then reply at night. Or I can keep coloring and reply on breaks in-between colors. So do ya'll want more colors? or for me to reply to all messages?

Woke up yesterday morning to all the water pipes being Froze! brrrr! We had to go get some gallon bottles of water-for coffee, cooking, etc. We called the landlord today and there are 6 peep's in front of us. However after hearing about how other peep's in Indiana are without power today and it being freezing cold, I'm not going to complain. It could be a lot worse. And we're expecting an ice storm too. So yeah, I'm going to stay wrapped up in my blankies and pour the bottled water into the coffee maker.

My computer has a new brain and she's home!!! They were able to recover 100% all of my data! Alllllright!!!

So tomorrow starts all the tweaking, taking off the junk I don't need, Quicken, Norton and all those other annoying programs I don't use and then re-load all my cool programs!

I stopped by and talked to the store manager of the original store that didn't help me-and he gave me a giftcard to make up for some of the inconvience- I mean we drove over a 100 miles from the house to get my baby fixed. However it really was worth it!! Now wasn't it. And he is still trying to figure out why his guy couldn't fix and why such a huge price difference too! Did I mention that before? It was half the price I was quoted at my local store. Interesting, huh? It pays to always get a second opinion!

So my baby is still in the Geek Hospital! They are still recovering data, so I'm very excited about that and am staying patient and peaceful!

So today when I was getting all ready to do a back-up to my External Harddrive-it's the end of the semester and color and play around and all that jazz...Imagine my horror when I got "The Blue Screen of Death" My hard drive has bit the dust!

So I was really really crying earlier today - because I hadn't backed up everything...and I had tons of stuff that I needed to have!! Most importantly My School Work-including my Files/Plans for my Internship!!! And secondly all the colors that I had been working on for commissions, pressie's and requests!

The one store here in town told me that the data was "unrecoverable"- however thank Goddess that Patrick decided to drive us to another bestbuy for a second opinion and that the Geek Guy there found that the other store was WRONG!!! He is working on it and hopes to recover at least 80-90% of my data! He did move my school work onto a flash drive for me and some of my other important files.

However I won't be receiving those until Saturday. So I know most of you understand the annoyance that this causes- and will be patient with me regarding your commissions, requests, etc.

And I hope to be able to recover all the wonderful commissions, pressies that I have received! And I did find out about a program that will help in the future. Once I get it, I'll tell ya'll the name of it. Well for those that are interested.

So back to working on the stuff for my Intern stuff tomorrow!! And please send Huggles my way- I can really use them after all the emotional ups and downs I had today...I know that this isn't a life threatening thing, but...my Final Paper had not been backed up yet and well, yeah that can be Life Threatening to my Graduate Career! And then the videos I received from my sister of my nephew that I hadn't back up yet... see how this can be emotional?

Anywho- I'll get back to the hw gig and hopefully I'll chat with ya'll later...

I am still under the weather, the good news-it's not as a bad. the ambivalent news-I do have a sinus infection. I'm not going to the bad news.

I have been working on another one of my Personality Projects- and hope to be able to post it by the end of the week. You know it's really hard for me, not to be creative- so even when I was quiet, I was looking for the pieces for this project.

Also has anyone missed the December Calendar?? Well when the month of December started so did my Final's. I take my online Final today-it was posted! And then tomorrow I take my last one for this semester. And then I will get a break from classes for a bit. However I'm still doing my intern duties. But it's all good!

I hope to get some colors done this week and posted, and I hope to be notified that yes, I am doing the Christmas exchange-isn't someone supposed to let me know one way or another? And I hope to have some request's done for peep's before Christmas too. However...please keep the patience going. I'm still ucky and well...I should be lying down, but need to finish up the school work first. And also, sorry too, but paying color commissions will take precedence. For those that don't know, Patrick was laid-off with no pretense of being recalled, just the nice way of saying we can't keep you.

I have been commenting on some of the pieces in my devwatch and some of the journal's as well...and hopefully will be able to catch up on some of the comments on my stuff soon too! Thank you all so very much for the kind wishes on my health, and the lovely compliments on my work!

I hope to be able to sneak in and do a calendar for December. One of my Aunts was the one to remind me, she looks at it on my blog! Oy! I'm sick... bad...and the heffalump's won't stop stomping in my brain either...

And I'm working on finishing up my paper and trying to keep studying...which is really hard when the words start to squiggle together and then jump off the page. Weirdness abounds today.

All color work is on hold till I can concentrate and sit up longer than 15 minutes. Yeah, that bad... oog!

**Update- still feeling awful, thank goodness I have the day to lie in bed and veg. I have a lot of art that was in my watch and left quite a bit of fb. However I'm tired now and will try to play catch up some more later today. Thanks for your patience and understanding! off to now...

*Update Question actually: Does anyone have a contact addy for a Mr. Bonner Phillipson? I have colored an extensive amount of his art and would love to post it here for ya'll's enjoyment. *Update on Common Sense: I finally whacked someone with the cane, after they kicked it out from under me. I think I might've scared him. Serves him right actually. And I called security and explained to them what happened, jic the idiot tries to report ME!!! I mean he thought it was funny thank goodness his friend's didn't think so, they actually helped me back up after I had fallen. Dude's-peep's don't use these for accessoring their outfits. Sigh!!! They also apologized for his behavior, he didn't say a damn thing...he was whining over his knee hurting-"oh poor frickin baby!" JERK!

However is it wrong that that felt good to whack him?? LOL

Part deux- apparently I wasn't the only person this dude ticked off yesterday- he has been suspended pending further investigation. whoa...not good. I ran into one of his "ex" friends- he wants to distance himself from him Not that I blame him. He apologized again, he didn't realize that the dude was a complete ass! So- that's the newest. And I didn't have to press charges, the other peep's he harassed did.

All of the wonderful friend's that I have on here! Without you, some of my days would be very boring and somewhat depressed! However I do have ya'll and I wanted to let you know that I'm very Thankful that you are my Friend!! I love ya all!! I don't think we tell people what they mean to us enough. So now ya'll know!

A dying art or not allowed in the new "PC" environment.

I should warn ya'll, I'm venting...

Most of you know, I'm a DAV-oh btw- Happy Veteran's Day!!
And I use a cane, some days I really rely on my cane.

This morning is one of days. Most of the time I can use a regular door, yet this morning I needed to use the disability enabled doors. Well, imagine my surprise when a fellow student gives me a really nasty look for coming through the door- when he "triggered" it. Um, he did not seem to be needing to use this door, no cane, no limping and well unless you count rudeness as a disability- he seemed perfectly fine. Normally I just let these things go by, no worries.

However today I wasn't the only one being treated rudely by our fellow students. There is another student that also uses a supportive cane and was nearly ran into when she tried to get off the elevator. Umm- here's a clue, let people out, before you try to "SHOVE YOURSELF ON!" sigh.... When she finally got out, she was really shaken up, and we had to find a spot for her to catch her breath. That is simply uncalled for. And she thanked me for being soo polite and helpful, I try to always be polite and helpful, don't get me wrong, I've been a bitch too-but it's usually "called for" you know what I mean.

I don't know how many times on campus HERE -never at BSU- that I am pushed, shoved out of the way and have had doors literally slammed in my face, because I couldn't "catch it in time." Is my cane invisible? I know I look normal. But would you want this to happen to you? No.

So seriously, what has happened to common courtesy??

Is it wrong to let people go ahead of you, hold open a door for them, or just plain be nice! Is being polite to a fellow human being no longer PC?

I'm just saying take the time to do a "Random act of kindess" today! Hold the door, let the people get off the elevator first, simply smile at someone. You might be surprised at how you feel and how you made them feel! I really miss that commercial about how this concept passes on from one person to another. You never know what the end effect might be.
