Well, minor update for anyone who cares. I've been drawing a lot lately, and getting a lot better, too. Problem is that most of my evidence is in one of my smaller sketchpads, and I'm hesitant to cut the good stuff out before I fill it up. (no perforated edges... T.T) So, yeah.

I do have one thing besides the orange wallpaper that I could upload possibly tomorrow, but after that I am on HIATUS. ...not that anyone cares, but I just thought people should know. ...you know, so people don't think I'm dead, or something.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, IMF stands for the International Music Feed, a channel which (I think) is only available through Dish Network. IMF is quite a paradox - it claims to broadcast "The World's Best Videos," when at least 75% of the music they play is generic American hip hop. Still, it's all commercial-free, so ya can't blame 'em for trying, but...

Now that that's covered, I won't bitch about it quite so much. They do have three noteworthy, half-hour-long programs: The Bridge (which plays Latin-American music), Passage to India, and One World (which plays nothing but international music, THANK GOD)

These are some of the things I've learned from watching the IMF:

1) Japanese hip-hop/R&B is just as bland and generic as American hip-hop/R&B.
2) No matter how much of it you cram into one measly half-hour segment, all Indian music still generally sounds the same.
3) Cello rock is t3h shiznit!!!11 (Especially if it's a Metallica cover!)
4) All the sexy rock stars are either Asian or Scandinavian. WHY MUST THIS BE SO?

...and on a related note, my current obsession is a Finnish rock band, Uniklubi. First off, even though I did like the story and the characters, I... *hate*... that game. Maybe it would be better if the leveling system made it less frustrating to get stronger, so that I didn't keep dying all the time. That's why I have to gripe about the random battles, since the sudden easiness of DYING made them all seem to occur...oh, say...every two STEPS?

Seriously, aren't battles supposed to be FUN? FF1 was fun; leveling up to Lv.99 and completing the entire bestiary was fun. Final Fantasy II, I ask you: Am I having FUN yet? Or am I supposed to be agonizing over [insert any character's name here]'s death?

And, by the way, you really can insert any character's name there - unless you spend an ungodly amount of time leveling up every aspect of your party members, any random battle can be fatal.

Oh, but that's not the best part. *possible spoiler, so don't say I didn't warn you* This morning I was reading YnM 3 again, when I noticed something: nestled in the panels of Hisoka's flashback/rape scene was a "glowing cone of light."

Three things went through my head:

1) How the hell did I miss that the first time?

2) So, I guess this makes my remotely graphic yaoi manga count = 3.

3) ZOMG I ACCIDENTALLY BROUGHT PR0N INTO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!111111 AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!11

I've been getting better at drawing male characters lately. But somehow, whenever I bring my stuff to school, I still manage to get asked the age-old question:

"Is that a guy or a girl?"

*grrrrrr*

Why do _I_ have to answer the question? Granted, some of my guys do look particularly feminine, but people should know enough for themselves to check out other aspects of male/female characteristics. I don't necessarily draw any dirty-hawt-kinky-nasty-raw kinda stuff, so that usually entails the flatness of the chest. Unfortunately, others seem to prefer playing a game of "20 Questions" rather than using their own logic. A typical conversation will go like this:

"So, like, is that a girl, or what?"

"...It's a guy."

"Oh, really? Well, I couldn't tell..."

"How hard is it to tell? He doesn't have boobs."

"Well, yeah, but he has long hair..."

"Lots of guys have long hair!! Can't you tell he's a guy by the chest?!"

"All I'm saying is that he needs to get a haircut, or something..."

"..."
