I seem to have become stuck in my multi-path story "Haldirs choice". I have an ending in mind, and a few lines for the Drow, Elven and Human paths, but I can't seem to connect them with anything.

My original inspiration came from a game called age of wonders and its interesting story about he original separation between the Elves and Dark Elves and the first appearance of Humans. but as you can see my story has kinda moved from that world somewhat.

I guess i will just have to keep searching for inspiration, and hope that my stories are technically correct as far as Drow cities/culture/religion, etc go.

If anyone has any good sources of inspiration or information regarding fantasy Elves and their culture, Humans and their culture, and Drow and their culture, I would love to know.

Any other advice or suggestions are also most welcome.

Thank you for the visit.

I am not good at giving tittles. I can write, i can draw (kinda) and i can comment. But i suck at naming tittles. So i guess i am saying, ignore the tittles on the works and enjoy them despite that particullar shortcoming.

I got it!
No wait, no i don't.

ah ha!
Always go back to the work you have done in the past, you never know what might turn up and help you with writers block/artists cramp.

Second best piece of advice, always have a pen and paper ready wherever you go. Never know when you will have 10 seconds to sign a big contract with a huge company and they don't have a pen.

Thats my advice i guess. Not very good, bu there it is.
P.S. Check out my Gallerybut pay no mind to the names of the work, i suck at naming things (and they are better than their names suggest)

She walks above the heads of mortals shining her beauty to all that would look upon her. Alas so few spend the time to look up into the clouds where perchance they may view her. Her hair shimmers golden against her silver dress. Bright red lips hint at seduction while her light blue eyes look playfully on all below.
As she walks far above the mortal world sharing her beauty with all who would look upon her. The clouds and lights seem to bend and form into a great shimmering crystal bridge, one that fades and dispirses shortly behind her. This bridge does not touch the earth, but nor does it seem to float about. One moment it is as solid and real as she. and another moment it is translucent and vanishing just like her.

Her dress seems to glint with the points of a hundred stars, each blooming into life, and then fading into a solid diamond. She is much like a perfect diamond, pure, clear, and beauiful.

As she walks upon her crystal bride, in her silver and diamond dress, her golden hair floating about her yet never concealing her face. Her lips, deep red and smiling, hint at her sensuality, while her eyes show she only wishes to dance.

Rainbows follow in her wake, as if the heavens above rejoice at having seen her. She is the woman who walks on the moonbeam bridge, and dances to the melody of life about her. All places that are beautiful she will visit. All places she visits, she dances through the sky on her crystal bridge, at once solid, and not. Then she fades away headed towards another beautiful place to dance by the light or by the moon.

You don't have to answer, that, and all my question will be rhetorical, also we have bound your hands and gagged your mouths so you can't talk... Alright then lets get started shall we.
the first thing we are going to to today is show you this short vidoe, then we will break you down to mindless mush, we will then have a speaker to tell you all the great things about ife under an evil emporer, then lunch, then we will rebuild you as loyal, obedient slaves, then snack time. A little group excersise then we will send you home to your personalized housing unit.

Tk231: So when does our shift end? and does the empire really need anyone standing here, i mean we are on the biggest battle station ever, deep in the heart next to the garbage masher doors, nothing important will ever happen here.
Ck652: We do as the empire asks of us. And you'll do as your told or else.
Tk231: Or else what? You'll fart again? Ha!
Ck652: Or i'll shoot you, the empire litterally has thousands of troopers that could replace you.
Tk231: I'm starting to think you don't like me.
Ck652: I don't dammit! Now shut up and guard the dam door!
Tk231: Meany.

*Bang*
Tk231 falls to the floor, dead.
Then Ck652 pushes him into the garbage masher.

Ck652: This is Ck652 I need a new partner here, another rookie from the academy shot himself... in the back....

Ck652: hello? Commander? Must be interfence, I'll head up to the main command room.

As Ck652 walks he passes two fellow troopers escorting a wookie, too bad is comm was out, bet they would have had something worthwhile to say....

I stand.
I fall.
I cry.
I rise and leave.
Each time i come i do the same. I do not know why i come, it is far from my home, away from the paths, and it is always so silent.
No birds chirping.
No insects buzzing.
Not even the wind blows here.
They almost seem to know my sadness and share in it.
I do not know why they would share in my sadness, it is a silly thought. But when i leave that valley and walk once more up the hill to my home and my family the only sound is from my boots in the grass.
It is always like this when i come.
And i always come here.
This isn't the place where she finally fell, but i know in my heart that it was where she died.
When we lost our first child, she died, and it was here. One month before she fell, in the dark, at night, in the cold, harsh rain.
Now i push away the tears and go to my new family. The one that knows not of my trips to where she and I both died. Apart in body, but together in spirit.
Such is the way of life, and such is the way that i will continue.
I hear my other children laugh and play. it brings me no joy. Only his voice in my heart keeps my will strong.
She lost herself in grief and fell.
I cannot fall, or no one will remember her and our son. But i will live, and i will mourn, and i will remember. So that one day we all may join together in honor and happiness, and that the valley where we died may become full of life and noise once more.

She stands at the edge of the woods and sings a beutiful melody.

No mortal may sing this song, it is too beutiful.

Her voice is the sound of a thousand angels in chorus, and the very essence of nature is her consonance. She is the voice of the forest.

While she stands at the edge of the woods and sings the people gather to her sound. For it is unlike anything they have ever heard.

When they walk to the edge of the woods, she walks towards the forest. Then the people follow her.

She is the voice of the forest.

They always follow her in, and she does not mind that they follow. She merely walks ahead of them and continues to sing in her perfect voice. No matter how deep into the forest she goes, they still follow. No matter how long she sings it is always perfect, never a note is missed, never a note that isn't clear and beutiful. As she sings the people become more and more entranced by her. As she walks deeper into the forest the stronger her voice becomes.

She is the voice of the forest.

When her song ends she begins to vanish. And when she is gone, and her song has finished the people become fearful, for they know not why she left, nor how to escape the forest. They look and listen for her, but they will never hear her voice again, for only once may one enter the forest with the voice of a thousand angels in chorus. She is the voice of the forest, and the forest is her.

She is the voice of the forest, and she stands at the edge of the woods singing her songs.

If you hear her song, be happy, for it is a beutiful end. And the song will forever be in your mind. You will die in the forest, the forest with the Voice of a thousand angels singing.

The waters of life run far and deep, they flow between the rocks on the shore and onto the sand of the beach. Everything they touch is sacred and beutiful. Everything that they touch comes alive. Everyone that touches the waters of life, ends theirs.
This is the nature of the waters of life. They begin the cycles that haven't started yet, and they end the ones that have. Death is a part of life, and life springs forth from death. So drink from the waters of life, and know what it is to be complete. Or do as i do and watch the shores and the many interesting things that come from life.

Teacher: "Ooh my class, we have real police officers here today."
Max: "That's freelance police ma'am."
Sam: "Self appointed dispensers of candy coloured dolops of justice who, upon recieving a call from a high commisioner on extremely wierd cases that no one in their right mind would."

There is just something about the way Sam can say a very simple message in a very complex manor, that is still must simpler than someone just using big words for the sake of using big words could have said them. And all in one breath.

But thats just me. IMAO, Peace.

As i lay dying on the field of battle. A curious thing occured. I saw Death. He was tall and fearsome, robed all in black and surrounded by a mysterious myst. Normaly a fearsome sight, i merely looked upon him with quiet contemplation.
I was at peace. Peace, knowing that my suffering and pain would soon end. Peace knowing my part in this terrible war would soon be at an end.
He walked towards me, and the mists of the otherworld enveloped me. The waking world vanished before me. Soon i was alone with Death. He leaned in towards me and uttered my name aloud, as if he did not know whom i was.
I must admit i thought of saying no. But somehow i knew he would not believe me, so i slowly nodded my yes. And then Death told me something, something i shall not forget.
He told me...
He told me...
He told me... something that i shall not repeat to you now.
Perhaps later i will tell you what Death told me, later when i am ready to meet him again and just before i go, i will tell you what he told me, just before he touched my chest and sent me back to the mortal realm. I am glad i lived that day, i am glad death let me pass, for i have done as he said. And i am better for it. I know now that i was not ready for Death, and that Death was not ready for me.

As i have lived my life from that day forth, i no longer fear Death, i no longer harbor any trepedation to any mortal qualms. And nothing any man may do to me has any affect on my spirit. For my soul is ready, and my body is healed, i am strong, and happy, and at peace, knowing the message that death gave to me. A message i will tell you eventually. Someday he will return, he will return when wars are over and death by violence is a thing of the past. I will wait, and watch, and work to bring that day about, so i may continue the journey that i started long ago on that field of war and pain. Upon that day i will share his message, and then you too shall share my joy.

As i was walking through the forest, i came upon a turtle on it's back. I don't know how that turtle got that way, or why it was this far from water. It really never occured to me. I suppose i could have turned it over and let it continue to whatever destination it was headed. But i didn't. I suppose i could have walked away and forgotten about it, but i didn't. I don't know know why i stayed, it is a strange thing to have done. I just sat and stared, and wondered.

I thought about all the things the turtle could be thinking about. He could be wondering about my intentions, he could be thinking about a piece of lettuce. I just don't know. Many hours passed, and yet i did not move. The turtle just lay there, it's legs flailing in the air. Not a sound was uttered the whole time. Day slowly turned to night, and yet i was compelled to watch and wait.

When sunrise came i sat there still, as did the turtle.

When finally, i noticed. I realized why i sat.

I realized this when the turtle finally, through perseverence, and patience, and a little hope, he rolled. And got back on his feet and began to walk back into the forest ahead.
Now I knew.
I was there to protect this little one, while it persevered and tried. For if i had helped, it would have failed the next time. If i had left, it would have died. Since i stayed, the predators hid, and he kept trying.
Now i know that i am not meant for greatness, i am merely here to help others, now meek, to become great, and to protect them on their journey. I will not share their greatness, and they may never know my help. But that does not matter to me.

This knowledge fills me with joy, and hope. And i thank that little turtle, for I believe he was a messenger, telling me his message.

When he entered the bar the first thing he noticed was the smell, it was rotten and dingy, with the malificus odors of a thousand sweaty species. The second thing he noticed was the scum, the scum that was here every time, just the kind of people he was comfortable with.

As he sauntered past a skulking Remullian Darthak and his many tentacles, he looked about the bar for the customer he was supposed to meet, but all he saw were the regulars.

Before he even sat down the bartender Drakna had already served him his Karr Ale. Most people can't stand Karr ale, but he wasn't most people.
"At least the musics still good" he thought aloud to himself.

An hour passed, an hour he spent drinking and idly chatting with Drakna, or watching the new dancing girl. She was good, not the usual kind of women Drakna got. She was entoxicating, and made the time go by faster. As he sat stooped at the bar the doors creaked open, and a shadowy figure stepped in.
"I hope he's my customer, bout time, i've been waiting here too dam long". He muttered aloud.

But it wasn't him, he pulled his hood down and sat at a near by booth with a pair of Ghashla twins. He shook his head, and turned back to the bar.

"Drakna, another Ale".
He threw his credit accross the bar into the dim smoke, confident that Drakna would catch it, as he always did, the greedy basterd.

The drink came sliding down the bar, and then slid past his waiting arm onto the floor.
He slumped forward, a large silver blade attached to a long golden rope deep in his neck. The rope was held by the new dancing girl that he had just turned his back on.

She stood, and then yanked on the rope pulling the blade from his neck, before secreting it back under her loose and flowing garments.
"Stupid empaths, they always think they know whats coming, this job was almost too easy, i don't know why he was worth 10000 to the boss".

"Here's your usual cut Drakna".
She tossed a small bag of credits across the bar to his awaiting hands.

"Ya, not a problem J'athta, maybe you'll come back and dance some more for us, the regulars seem to like you"

"Don't make me kill you Drakna, remember I am the best assassin around, it wouldn't be hard". She sneered.
Drakna chortled, then shifted away into the shadows and smoke to go serve more drinks.
J'athta then pulled out a grav harness and looped it unceremoniously about the corpse before activating it and dragging him out of the bar to her awaiting ship.

No one payed much attention to the whole affair, this was just what happened everyday in this lonely backwater bar, on this small, cold barren world out on the far reaches.
