I'm worried and scared. I'm not going to lie. It's a HUGE world out there, and there's more pitfalls than help in this place. Nobody wants to help someone who can't get up, and so few do. It's saddening, but that's the true essence of what people are. Self-righteous, self-sustaining and (not all the way...but more and more) uncaring about the plight and pain of their fellow man. In these two years and a couple months, I've watched my family actually come together a bit. My sister finally came around and got away from a bad relationship, and I did the same. Mom and dad are getting along...if not well, at least better than they were for a long time there. We're hurting like hell for money, but that should change.

I watched my love's family...deteriorate. Steadily...predictably at times. It's hard to watch, knowing that was what I was looking at just a few short years before. No escape, no future. Just the pain of today and knowing tomorrow is going to be worse. But I can't change the players. I can't change liars and manipulators into decent people...and I can't change victims into warriors. It's not my place. It hasn't been for a long time...but it may be my time again someday. Who knows. Family counseling doesn't seem like it would be too terrible.

I watched, in glimpses and snapshot moments, a good friend fall into a war that she'll probably die losing. It's hard, because I want to help. But she already owes me and I'm wondering if I'll see any return. I don't care if I do or not...but I wonder if she even cares about it, or if her...issue has drawn her too far in. More than wonder...I worry for her life every time I think about her. I haven't heard anything in weeks...except one blip not too long ago...and she's gone again. I don't know if there's anything I can do...but say I miss her and that I hope she gets back onto the path of self-sustaining freedom that life is meant (I think) to be...rather than slavery to something she'll never be able to walk away from entirely.

I watched my other family, that is to say my close friends from school, slowly go their own ways. It's tragic, but empowering in ways, too. We've managed, mostly, to keep talking and not to lose each other entirely, but it's been rough just keeping our shit together in our own lives enough to be social with our pasts. It's hard as fuck out of high school, and we're all seeing that. But I still think that they believe the difficulty is worth the rewards...the ability to say that they accomplished something great. That they did what others might not have in their line. That they are going to be somebody someday. That they...but I can't speak for them. They should have that right themselves.

I watched the world change hands. A new president, with new lies and a new way to slowly decay our great nation. We're losing everything to the things that our past leaderS have done, and we're gaining so little back that we're dying. It's a slowly spreading cancer in my mind...something we could probably treat and stymie for a little while...but would eventually still force us into submission. But why are we accelerating it rather than trying to make it stop? It's not my place to scream for answers...I'm just one bottom-feeder trying to make my life as comfortable as I can with the precious little I do have. Someone with power and prominence should be screaming these things from the rooftops. But they're NOT! The ones with the power are more than happy to move their businesses overseas for the cheaper labour costs. They're more than happy to raise prices on goods it's costing them less. LESS TO MAKE IN THE FIRST PLACE! I don't understand.

I've watched a lot happen. Yet...I feel I've done so little personally. I've wasted two whole years watching. Wondering. Worrying. Thinking. Seething. Trying to understand. But I think I've got it for once. There's too much to do. There's too much that nobody else wants to see. That nobody else wants to know. I do, though. I want to see the pain of this world boiled down into a single heartbeat. I want to see this administration worldwide deal with the plight of those locked in the worst battles of all...personal struggles with drugs and disease of the body and of the mind. I want to be a part of something bigger. Some things fell apart, and some are in a good place, I think. But the last few days have been hard.

I won't say much, but I will say this. Yesterday was the hardest. And the night before that.
My love was a hair's breadth from losing her familial home, and having to fund her future without the considerable and very helpful assistance of her father.

It wasn't good...a lot of yelling, a lot of information that needed out, and a lot...a LOT of discussion. It was a bad night, a worse morning...but use and ease is slowly shining through.

Plans, in the end, have remained much the same, at least in the short term. I still need to get driving (thanks for the help Sis. Just the small things and then I can get to learning again...), and figure out where I'm going to come up with two grand for school...500 a quarter I'm still short. It's bullshit...but that's what I get. Hopefully I'll take a trip down there before summer's up, and take a couple days for her sake. But we'll see, on that note, what happens.

My last note...anyone have any help on maintaining helpful and restful sleep? I haven't gotten either in quite a few days...and I feel like hell because. Any hints would be nice...

I think that's it. If I do get into school, I'll prolly end up cutting back my work hours, too...less work and more class...oh boy...just like the old days. BUT that's if the other thing falls through, which would be getting a (Much) better paying job in the immediate, which would entail me just getting my license.

But I can't say for sure if either one is bound to happen just yet...so I'm holding my cards close. And we'll see.

Today...is Friday. I have two days until what I want to be doing...and I'm worried that I'm not going to make it with my sanity intact. There's too much that's bugging me...and I'm starting to remember why the old thoughts made sense.

Foremost...is Her. I found out some...troubling things today...and if those kinds of things come to pass...I'll very likely lose my entire mind to them, or, at rate, what's left of it. I've grown incredibly attached to Her over this past year...and in the last few months, especially...she's the one I've trusted with my entire life...all my deepest secrets are in her head and hands.

I can't...can't do without Her in my life. It's not possible.

Onto something else, though.

I feel like my job is killing me. I know a lot of people who dislike their job, or only go because the money is good.

I hate my job.
The pay sucks.

I dread going to work, because I know it's going to be the same thing every day. Dull rhythm...waiting for the morning so I can leave and hide in my house again. I don't want to socalize as much, because my hours (which is the only fucking blessing of working where I do) keep me in bed during the day, unless I'm called by certain others, or I have plans made in advance.

It's a paycheck, though...until I get my license finally so I can look for better.

Or something.

I guess...what I'm looking for is an excuse to be content with my freedom again. I seriously wish I could be back in HS again, as hard as those 5 years were for me. I'd trade anyone who thinks that "freedom from high school" is nice.

I...no. Now I'm just whining, and I don't want to hear myself doing that at this point.

Life's going as okay as it can...and a lot better than it used to, especially this time of year. I have a love to share the season with, funds to try to look for some inventive and nice things for some people...and leagues more time and happiness than I've had for the time of year since...I was a kid.

It's nice, really, even with all the downfalls I've watched happen...and the sorrow that I know is going to be coming from some fronts...I'm content.

I wonder, though...how the season looks for others...like my family...who has suffered a lot during this season...or others...who dealt with the loss already and still have yet to see through this season from then.

I'onno...this time of year really makes me reminisce, and think hard about the things that have happened...the people I've gained and lost, and the time that's gone...it's hard, sometimes...but it's the way.

Maybe I should cattle prod my creative side into work...and get something about the season...

(I'm stealing this method of thinking(kind of), bear with it. I just need to vent today...)

There's too much going on, and I only have direct contact with one wire. It's not helpful, it's not useful and it's not usual. I really want to help...but it seems the most I can do...is offer my help and wait, hoping someone might take me up on it, because I refuse to force my help...my opinion...or my ideas upon anyone anymore.

My last heartbreak made me that way...

Without music to drown out my thoughts, I reasoned with myself on the walk home from work(I just got in not too long ago...), and the main thing I found is...I don't have any real troubles to speak of. I have unfulfilled wants and needs, and I'm not quite as happy as I feel I should be...but it's not troubling to me, because I know it's just a matter of time before that'll be over.

What troubles my mind on mornings like this is the issues my friends and loved ones are going through, and the fact that I can't seem to help them like I want to.

Maybe I'm overthinking things...that has got to be what it is, right?

The premise is to concoct, with nothing but the writer's ideas, brains, and, in the case of non-fiction, research, a fifty-thousand word novel over the month of November. I know...it sounds daunting...even impossible, right?

I'll admit, it's tough, and the last two years...I didn't quite make it. But it's still worth trying, for the sake that it keeps the creative muscles working.

Anyway...the stuff you need to know to get involved (IF you're gonna get involved):

The website is nanowrimo.org. Signing up to participate is FREE, but has to be done by October 31. The countdown starts November 1 at Midnight, and stops Nov. 30 at 11:59:59. The goal, as before, is to create a 50,000 word novel in the time frame. This month, by the way, is prewriting...

If you're not wanting to sign up, but you wanna see if I might just make it, I'm blacknova over there. If you sign up, lemme know if I know you, so that I can cheer you on! If nothing else, cheer me on next month!!!

Well...I'm unhappy. My 200+ dollar iPod got broke. The screen got cracked underneath, and now I can't read it, which means I can't use it at all. It's irritating, and it means I gotta get a new one because I can't seem to find the receipt for the original one to call upon the power of a limited warranty...my stupidity though...

Past that, I'm desperately in need of a car so I can (FINALLY) learn to drive and get my license. If anyone in the Knox county area of Ohio has one for sale, or knows someone that's selling one for around...I have 1300...and I'm not picky, it just has to be in decent working order because I know NOTHING about cars.

I think that's all I have...sorry for not adding more devis...I've been uncreative due largely in part to work and not sleeping adequately.

It's odd, though. I was looking back through my old pieces on here (Anyone who's watching me that hasn't read Dream([link]), Words([link]), or My Letter to the World([link]) Really should...), and re-reading my old comments. It struck me suddenly that I'm glad there's no way to delete the old comments made on them. There was a lot of odd inspiration in those old comments that I was able to use to get out of another bad case of work-related writer's block.

On another note, thank you again to EVERYONE who offered me a line for I am- -We Are([link])...the amount of help I got for this was great, and I couldn't have made the work nearly as cool as I think it is without help...so thank you all.

So I have a question, and there's no reason to answer if you don't think it's a fair one, or if you don't think I should be asking...but why are some people who claim to be people of a good heart and good faith so narrow-minded? Do note I'm not saying all or even most, because I know that a lot of people who have strong faith aren't like this, but it's the few that have to be zealots and cram God down the throats of others that give religions a bad name.

I don't claim to be religious, and I'm really not all that much...but I was talking about this sort of stuff with my dad one night, and I brought UP Wicca (which isn't what TV makes it out to be, I've done a bit of heavy reading on the subject), and my dad basically treated it like I had called God something unhygenic, then tore a bible into shreds.

And I'm not going to say that my father is the most Christian man alive, but I've met others who have almost literally said that people that don't believe the same thing that their school of faith believes are going to be damned in the next life. Which, by the way, aethiests don't believe in, and nature-worshipping faiths have a completely different outlook on...

Foremost, I'm sick of trying to make myself happy. Every time I start feeling really good, shit hits the fan and I end up covered from head to toe. Why? Because everyone knows I'll listen...or because everything was bad at work, or because person A is jealous of me because I have an admirer that they secretly want...I'onno. What I do know is that I'm too damned agitated to deal with it all right now.

On the back burner...I'onno how many people really care, but I know I'm one of them. What I'm talking about is the US Presidential elections coming up. This year, for anyone living either outside the US or under a rock in the states, is an odd one, at least half-way. In the Republican corner we have a rich old white man, and a bunch of others near that description. In the Democratic corner...we have...a woman and an Africian-American. It's unprecidented.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of diversity so long as other races can agree to disagree. But I don't think the country I live in is really ready for either face that the Democrats are being led by. Truly, I think that the other party has the edge...even with Bush Jr.'s nightm...term, let's say term, simply on the grounds that people as a mass can't conceive being led by a woman, and are odd about being led by...please forgive this horrible statement...someone that isn't a rich old white man in general. It IS what this country has come to expect, and seeing the diverse Democratic party...kinda puts a kink in that ideal, especially for the die-hard Democrats.

Me? I'm sitting on the fence...which brings me to my next honest thought...I need to get cracking on research about the people running for leader of my home nation. I am, regardless of what my family likes, a Moderate, and I actually have to think about my vote...my apologies to the people that are on one side or the other for my rude way of thinking this through. However, I still haven't looked anything up about the people running, and the Primary elections are in a couple months in my state.

My last blah...is this...sorry everyone. Sorry you had to be subjected to that debasing of my more forward mind...and more sorry that it's all...so...foggy.

Well the rules are following:

1. I have several weird pet peeves, such as a problem with necklace clasps. They HAVE to be behind!

2. I tend to act as a psychologist to a lot of the people I know, and enjoy doing so, even when I complain about it.

3. I HATE recieving gifts. I'd very VERY much rather give, because I feel greedy when I start getting things.

4. If I could draw, the things that would creep from my pen would most likely frighten everyone I know into never speaking to me again.

6 weird habits/things :
1: When using a sheet of papaer (at all), the holes have to be intact(if applicaple), the little fringe edge MUST be torn off, and the corners CAN NOT Be missing.

2. I can't colour in anything but coloured pencil. Everything else ends up everywhere on the page.

3. I'm a lefty. Meaning I write, colour (can't)draw, and eat with my left hand.

4. I'm an extremely indescriminate eater. I have a few likes/hates, but I'll eat just about anything.

5. Contrary to (general) belief...I'm incredibly sick-minded. It jus doesn't come out...frequently. (Meaning I do have some writings like that...but none that can pass under the dA filter.)

6. I have an insane fear of...being on stage. Used to also have a crippling fear of heights...but now I just get jittery when pushed for public presentation.

I guess...I'm hoping I get highly inspired again very soon, because I'm quite simply losing my mind without the ample supply of half-ideas and images I can't draw (due entirely in part to my utter lack of skills in drawing)...and I'm almost tired of being able to only write one poem, if any, in a day or so. Simply...I think I need school to start up again, because I always seem to have infinite inspiration during school...
