Well today pretty much sucked. Everything I touched I either broke, dropped, spilt, knocked over or lost.

Got about 3 hours of sleep last night. Got up today wanting to work on the contest entry that ends the 30th, had a start on it from last night where I had the stock together and had it all cut out (at least the big pieces.) I know better than to not save stuff on my pc because of how often we loose power out here, so I made double sure I had it saved and went to bed last night. Got up today and DH wanted to go get groceries and be done for the day, which I totally understand so I made the list and he asked me to ride into town with him, which I did (but waited in the car while he went in.. me+walmart=NO). Got home, taking groceries in, dropped one of the bags, ok no big deal.

I was looking forward to coming in to work on my picture, get in here, open it up and work about 20 minutes, then DH tells me he needs my computer because he is fixing a guy from work's pc and can't find his his (DH's) vga cord to plug it in to his tv (to use as the monitor), so he needs mine.. ugh, fine ok whatever, so I go in the other room while he does his thing. Come back an hour or so later when he is done and he had rebooted the pc (which I expected, but I made sure to save my stuff first) and I go to open up my picture to start working on it again and.. poof.. its gone.. just.. gone.. no where to be found.

No seriously, WTF. I saved it last night and again today at 2 different points and it's just gone? It's not even in my 'recently opened' list in Photoshop. WTH. I even searched my external drive - just in case i somehow airbrained and put it in there, but nope, it's just gone. Never have had this happen before and I've been working on computers for a long long long time.

So, I gather up the stock again and get it all opened and restart the whole damn thing, right about the time I finish cutting stuff out again DH wants to go grab some food - Chinese.. how can I say no to that? So he calls in the order and we go pick it up. Get all the way back home and into the house, I pick up my food and - BAM - drop the whole flipping thing all over the stove because my stupid hand just lets go. (Anyone with CTS can relate, I'm sure.) Sooo.. I've got no dinner that I just wasted 40 minutes driving into town to get, AND a huge flipping mess all over my kitchen. Some swearing could have been heard about then.

DH gets me semi-calmed down, goes and re-orders me the same thing and BACK to town we drive to get it. Pick it up and are heading home when I go to change the CD in the CD player and - BAM - it won't eject. Tried everything and would you believe there is no manual eject? Seriously. WTF. So we pull in the driveway, DH says he is gonna fiddle with it and tells me to go eat.

'Course I can't really go in and enjoy my dinner when I am feeling bad for 'breaking' the cd player but I go in anyway. Halfway through the house I step on what has to be the biggest sticker this side of the Rockies and in the process managed to spill half a bottle of soy sauce down the front of me - don't ask why i was walking with it open.. no idea.. but anyway, there it is.

So, it's now after midnight, and needless to say, the picture isn't going to get finished and I don't even want to try rushing through it now because I'm sure I will just botch it up, so I'm just going to take my time with it and not even worry about the deadline.
