I managed to take a small chunk out of my right index finger while cleaning the meat slicer at work, last night. Didn't and doesn't hurt, but holy crap it bled A LOT. I held it with paper towel for about 10 minutes and it hadn't stopped, so my coworker wrapped it up and gauze and sent me home. Mom took me to the ER, we waited a lot less than we thought, got a bed, and the doctors/nurses/paramedics tried various things to staunch the flow. Basically, the comics should be judged on writing AND art.
If the art will not be judged, pure writing should be allowed, since it does not lack any judging requirements.

I'm already sick of the general opinion of writing > art in visual media. Both are important. But, if you're going to tell a story visually... the visuals matter. Stop acting like they don't.

HOLYFUCKTODAYWASSTRESSFUL. The time I thought I had to prepare & make my dinosaur comic & portfolio hardcopy got cut in half and my laptop failed to boot when I it to NSCAD. I only got it working when I had my head to the keyboard and was comtemplating becoming an hero.

Last classes - actually sold two pieces at the Printed Matter show, and the comic-portfolio was well recieved despite being rushed.
