-Exposure
-Eventual cut of the profit when profits are made

If you've ever taken a look at the job-offers part of any forum or site, you'll notice two tendencies that occur online. The first is that a lot of people look for art, some for the cheapest possible price at the best possible quality. The other is that a lot of people are willing to low-ball even more than the initial offer simply to snag the job.
Because if they don't offer cheaper art than the rest, they wouldn't be getting the job, or so the line of thought most likely goes.

There. I said it. A DD is not a prestigious award that will change your life drastically, it's just a 24h feature.

But why is it so important to make this distinction?
It's just a way of naming something and therefore should not be of great importance, yet it makes all the difference in how people perceive a DD.

Today I would like to take the opportunity to talk a bit about a part of the history of art that's very near to my heart: the Flemish Primitives.

Personally I'm very fond of this topic because it ties in with the history of my country and my love for medieval and late medieval culture. To me, it's fascinating to see how the early book-illustrators and miniaturists branched out to canvas and proceeded to be a driving force in the 15th and 16th century.

So, I spent today redoing my commission-information and my price-sheet since quite frankly: they sucked.
I made a commission-form and made my price-sheet a bit more professional-looking with newer examples where needed.
All in all: work well worth it. :D

Moving on: I recently have been on a Marvel-kick and have finally watched "X-men: First Class" and "Thor".
