Hey, everybody!

So, I'm sure you have all given up hope on me; thought I'd died, gotten H1N1, forgotten about you all, or whatever. HOWEVER that's not true, I promise! I've simply been suuuper swamped with school and life and blah that I've had ZERO time to dedicate to art in general, not to mention uploading anything new on here for you guys since school. I'm going to try to get some pictures of anything interesting I've done lately up here though, just so I don't feel as bad. :P

BIG NEWS!!! :D

One of my pieces has been accepted at Julia's Gallery for Young Artists for a show called Fashionably Late, running in conjunction with the show Elegantly Attired at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine. Super excited for the opening, which is on November 21, at which I can finally get a few pictures of my piece, since I didn't get to before I submitted it. The theme was (basically): How did fashion affect history and how did history affect fashion? [link] I'm not planning on selling my piece, however if some crazy person is like DYING t have it for some reason, I'm not just going to turn away. :P

Other than that, nothing big has been going on. I'm on the honor roll in my school (yay!) aaand I've had to write incredible amounts this year. It's craziness. So that's it for now. I'll try not to go so long before the next time I update!! :)

In celebration, I'm actually going to take some new pictures and submit them instead of going through oldies and trying to scavenge something halfway decent for y'all. Doesn't that sound wonderful? :P

Also, Now that school has started up again and I have an AWESOME art class, I'll probably putting up some of my work from there as well.

So sorry for no more new updates recently. I've been absolutely swamped with summer homework for the past couple weeks and I can't remember the last time I went on an adventure to take pictures. I've had literally ZERO times when I've been able to do that. :'(
So, for the next few weeks, this trend is probably going to continue. Lots of work to finish and things to arrange before the start of school. I'll try to upload some old photos here and there if I have time.
I haven't forgotten you, dA!

So I named one of them Harold (which is the name I had picked out a while ago for a chinchilla if i get one) which probably wasn't such a hot idea, since he's $200 (0o) and lives in the pet store. but we bonded nonetheless. ^^
So I have a yearnin' for a chinchilla to name Harold. Or, if I end up getting a girl, I would name her Octavia or Evangeline. XD But in any case, I'm rambling now about chinchillas and how awesome they are. I don't care though. :P
I even started a petition to "Get Gracie a chinchilla!!" on facebook. I'm hoping that if enough people join, my mom will cave. ^^ (it's already up to 30 members in a matter of hours :D)

Soryy I haven't really updated lately. Been swamped with schoolowrk, but I have been drawing some so hopefully I can scan those guys soon and put them on here. I always think to do so when I'm at school, which isn't very useful since... I'm at school. SO, bunches of still lives have been happening, and I'm trying to improve on my drawing skillz in general, so hopefully I can get some better, more recent art up here soon!

So, I might be trying out some sidewalk chalk designs here on my driveway....

Also been reading a bunch, which has gotten me inspired a bit. [the book Speak was quite helpful. set some...mood...inspiration...]

So, don't expect any masterpieces from me in these next few weeks, but hopefully I'll get back on track here at some point.
