Pointless Information

This is not essential information for your lives. I feel stupid even updating these journals every few months or so, but...

I just watched the last episode of Extras (the BBC show), the Christmas special. I thought I had already seen them all, but I was surfing around on youtube and I noticed some 'clip from Christmas special' and I went ".....I haven't seen that one! HO FUCK!!" And I got super stoked on life XDD

It's actually fairly ridiculous how deep I got into it. I almost cried twice; I can't really cry because of the medication I'm on, but I know if I hadn't taken my pills I would have been wiping my eyes on my shirt, man.

About halfway through I was almost wishing I hadn't watched it, because the ending of the second series was SO perfect, I was like "...I almost don't want to remember it like this...It's so depressing..." But I needn't have worried, because the ending to this one was perfect as well. It just had a longer storyline, because it was an hour instead of a half-hour.

But like... I can't even express how deeply this episode moved me. I sound fucking stupid for getting so deep into a comedy, but... you know. I think a big part of it was probably Maggie... I uh... kinda have a huge soft spot for her. I know she's a fictional character. |: I think she's adorable and she kinda makes my heart go all wibbly |: Derp. I can't stand it when things aren't working out for her. |:

And another thing I really like about Extras is the underlying messages, particularly about loyalty, integrity, self-respect, and the strength of character it takes to do what you know is right. Really inspires me.

So yeah. Happy ending was happy. Happy Jack is happy.

Creative Slump

In five days, it'll be a year since I've written anything. A YEAR. I knew I'd been in sort of an artistic slump for a little while, but... I had no idea it was so long. I decided to look up the last thing I wrote, and now I know.

I guess I fail.

I wonder if creativity just goes to sleep for a while, or if... if it's possible that it can die altogether.

I've tried to write a few poems over the last couple months, but they've come out not even looking like poetry, looking like some 13-year-old's MySpace blog.

And I'm sorry to the three or less of you who will read this journal that this sounds so emo. But it's intensely depressing to think that maybe everything creative inside you is gone, and that maybe now you'll just stumble through life without being able to express yourself. Although I guess now there's nothing there to express anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Because even the part of me that gives me ideas is gone, too. I guess you never realize how much you value your creativity until it's gone.

I guess now I'll just go write blogs like all those 13-year-olds. I can still do that. That doesn't take creativity.

So there was my first blog. I'm going to go die now.

Today in geography class we watched another video with my teacher's secret lover David Suzuki in it *rolls eyes*. He never shuts up about David Suzuki, he even has a signed poster of him in the classroom. We've seen like 5 million videos with David Suzuki. I've come to the conclusion that David Suzuki is Mr. Pacsuta's secret lover, who is apparently not so secret anymore now that I'm onto him.

But anyway, the point I was very slowly getting around to was that the the background music in the video was music I actually KNEW O.o . I was so very confused. At first I thought, "Hey, that sounds like that one Loreena McKennitt song..." and then the next song rolled around and I thought, "Hey, that sounds just like that other Loreena McKennitt song..." and then I thought, "That is Loreena McKennitt. What the hell??" In every other educational video I've ever seen, they've never used other people's music (to the best of my knowledge, mind you); they usually just make up some crappy elevator-type background music. And it's not like they just picked a bunch of random songs by a bunch of random artists; they only used Loreena McKennitt, and it was ALL from one CD. It amused me so much I gave up trying to pay attention to what was happening in the video.

It was a video about some scientists who were trying to get whooping cranes to follow them south, like in that movie "Fly Away Home". And there was this one random guy who kicked so much ass: he had one line in the whole thing, and it was the best line. He was expressing his opinion on the experiment, and he was apparently very highly educated and intelligent. *snicker*

Best line in the whole video:
"I think it's way awesome!" Yeah buddy, we all know you're a scientist. Stop trying to impress us with all your super-smart science lingo.

And now you may be asking yourself why you spent 5 minutes of your life that you're never going to get back reading this crap. Because I said so, that's why. And it's too late anyway; you already read it. I win!!
