Not much to say at the moment. The revision of LC II is going very, very slowly. First, I'm busy with many other concerns, primarily finishing graduate school and finding a postdoctoral position. Second, and it pains me to say this, but I'm not getting the same joy out of writing/rewriting the story that I usually do. It feels more like work. Outdated references aside, there hasn't been much to report. I've done some preliminary work on The Lycanthrope Club: Book II, but most of my energy has been focused on labwork, Daemoneye Publishing's RPG products, and getting the second edition of The Lycanthrope Club: Book I out. Actually, the second edition is more or less complete. The final editing is done, the file has been reformatted; all that remains is the cover. In addition to writing fiction, I also write, design, and playtest table-top roleplaying games with a friend of mine. We (well, mostly him) have been working on a particular project for well over a decade - a science fiction game called Universal Decay: Dead Stars - and now it's finally complete. Basically, I'm still waiting for the last of the art and the edited manuscript. I just received previews for the last two illustrations, so those should be done by the end of the week at the latest. I haven't heard back from the editor since the 2nd of July, but he's fairly reliable (albeit busy) so it should be any day now.

I'm writing a LOT of new material, which itself will have to be proofread and edited, the artist's compy died so he's delayed, and I STILL need to find an editor.

Going over the early chapters has really made me reflect on how my writing style has changed over the years.  I've added a dozen or so new paragraphs but I'm finding myself trimming a lot of extraneous text as well - mostly overly sentimental or verbose passages. The novels will include color and black and white illustrations of scenes in the story. Lobo Leo (http://www.alphaluna.net/ or http://alfaluna.deviantart.com/) has agreed to act as illustrator for Book I and has already completed several pieces. I started painting Games Workshop miniatures for table-top wargames (e.g. Warhammer 40K) around when I was 14 and haven't stopped. I've gotten fairly good over the years, winning an award at a convention for my Imperial Guard battle squad. Several days ago Miramax Films contacted me. One of their employees read my stories and started linking them to his coworkers. It worked its way to the top and they decided there was great potential for a movie in them. That's right. They're interested in turning the Lycanthrope Club series into a film! Squee!

As much as I'd like to make a print version available, it'd take a great deal of work and money to expand the story, design the book and commission decent art. In particular, the illustrations would probably run at least a couple hundred dollars - a lot of money for someone living on a graduate student's stipend. By the looks of it only a couple dozen of you would be willing/able to purchase a print copy, and that's assuming everyone who says they'd buy a copy would.
