I know I haven't really put out any of the artwork I said I would after being so "inspired." I've been in a slump since early summer and I can't figure out why. No, it's not because ~SydneyPrimal moved in because there's been plenty of time where we're bored and I'm still not drawing. It might be the lack of music floating around recently, or it might be because work is draining. Or it could be some psychological displeasure I have toward the finished products because I don't like how I shade. Anyway, I'm moving slowly.

Aion's going to launch on the 22nd, but I get my character pre-select on the 18th and then a headstart launch on the 20th. It'll be pretty awesome, I think.

Went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday with ~SydneyPrimal and we had a lot of fun. We saw a band called Albannach there that did traditional Scottish war music and it was insanely good (if you like that sort of thing). There was a huge line of girls dancing on the other side of the stage being lead by one of the belly dancers at the festival. We went to the Pub Sing at the end of the day too, and it was hilarious (many filthy and filthier jokes to be had there).

As for my art, I'm into doing Watchmen art - though most of that consists of original characters. I'd like to do some art of the actual characters. I'm also thinking of doing some Aion artwork for my characters, but I don't know how that'd go over. I guess as long as I'm happy doing it, I should go for it.

I went to the local bar last night with my two sisters (one being *Driven-Crazy) and =SydneyPrimal. We listened to some bad karaoke, some good karaoke (*Driven-Crazy), and Syd and I thought about getting up to sing. Didn't happen though. I might've been balance-impaired but I was only drunk enough to know I didn't want to be drunk. Euch.

Some guy got a picture of my boobs with the excuse that The Flash is his favorite superhero ever (I was wearing my red Flash t-shirt). I hope he wonders what happened last night that he's got a picture of unknown The Flash boobs on his phone.

Oh. I had a Captain and Coke, an improvised Mudslide, a Coke (to slow me down), and a really strong Strawberry Daiquiri.

All in all a good time.

After that, I got a job...so now it's hard for me to be motivated in the time that I'm home to actually use it for drawing. I might soon though...but it won't be anything anyone's expecting.

Final Fantasy XI - I'm not playing the game(1). But I did a decent job remaking them on Aion(2) and I broke out all my soundtracks from when I did still play the game. So I'm kind of in the mood.

Matrix - MxO is about to close down on the 31st for good. And while I bitched and moaned about how much I hated the game's community by the end, I still love some things about it. Guildinstern and Rosincrantz were two of mine and Syd's best characters.

Star Trek - I wanna draw something for it??? I saw the new movie and loved it so Syd and I went back, bought and watched the original series with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley. Not sure if anything from this will happen or not.

(1) You'd think I would just remember how hard of a time I have in that game and just stop wanting to play it again. But I caaaaaan't. I miss Bastok, I miss the thrill I had sneaking Syd's characters through Rolanberry Fields, I miss Raph and Mikan, and I most of all miss my wittle Tarutaru, Raetaru. :<

(2) Aion: The Tower of Eternity. I've been trying to find a fantasy MMO to really take FFXI's place...essentially I'm hoping for a mix between FFXI's world and CoH's community. Oh, and I want the ability to solo at least kind of efficiently all the way to 50. Will Aion be the answer? Possibly. I preordered the game so I could get into the beta events and I've been in three so far. It's pretty nice. I can't wait for the next one so I can play it on my better computer.

Okay, so I really had too many backed up activity messages in my messages...so if I didn't thank you for a favorite, I apologize.

I've got a few days of class until Thanksgiving Break, but after that I've only got two weeks of class left. I'm almost done, whew! I'll be able to breathe after the Portfolio Review.

Also, I scheduled for my next semester. I'll be taking three art classes: Photography for Graphic Designers, Ceramics, and Intermediate Drawing. I hear three studio classes is crazy stressful, but I'm betting it's not as stressful as this one was because none of it is Graphic Design. Also, I hear Ceramics is incredibly good at relieving stress. And I'll be learning to draw better (awesome).

But! I consider myself lucky. Looking back, I got my power back pretty quickly. A lot of people are still out of power and I can only hope everyone's doing okay and that the rest of the power is restored quickly.

Because of the storm, my college is closed today. That's more good news for me since I didn't have the ability to work on my project for Graphic Design without any power.

I decided on this organization to reduce the clutter of older art. I didn't want to delete any of it because if it's there, people can view the growth of my art if they wish.

HiddenMutation - It comes from a fanfic I was writing a long time ago in which Joseph Frost was resurrected with a mutated strand of the virus. (Of course, fangirl law dictated that the mutation be absolutely awesome looking, that he was magically stronger than all the other characters that existed in the game, and that his memories came through to make him save his love before it was too late. Thank God I'm not 25 years old and *still* writing/drawing things that make no f***ing sense in the fandom.)

Anyway, the name was for AIM at first, but even after my tastes had matured I kept the name 'cause I thought it was neat. Just a shadow of a bad fanfic that I'm now thankful I never finished writing.

-School Projects : I'm working on a menu layout for Ruby Tuesday using InDesign.

-Dragonlance : I might get around to more pictures like "Kindred Spirits." Notes for future pictures include:

+Tanis will have redder hair

+Tas will continue to have green eyes because I like green on him better. Sorry guys, that's just how Syd and I roll.

+Oh and Flint's beard may or may not change color. I'm not familiar with exactly when his beard finally turns white.

-City of Heroes : I wanna draw more scenes from their storylines, and I wanna draw a series of body shots that give a list of their Origins, Archetypes, and Powers. (Hopefully I'll get around to this and won't let it die.)

Don't get too excited about the Dragonlance or City of Heroes things yet. I'm still gonna be moving slow until the end of the semester. I've got papers to write and Finals to study for.

---Other News---

City of Heroes : Issue 12 : Midnight Hour is currently in closed beta testing and will be entering open beta testing soon. I can't wait for it to come out-I'm so excited about it!

So far I know that Issue 12 will include :

-New powers for jobs like Fiery Melee and Aura for Scrappers and things like that.

-New storyline missions for people to do.

-A revamp for The Hollows Zone so it's easier.

-New Roman costume pieces.

-Two Villain Epic Archetypes (Wolf Spiders and Blood Widows)

-In-Game Ads that players can submit to the developers and have a chance to be put it.

-Easier Character Creation screen

-Revamp of some basic user interface things (Able to click on people and send tells as well as being able to move power trays around)

-Extra Character Slots! All current players get 2 slots they can use on any server they want and 1 slot is given for every year a player is subscribed. (People subscribed four years will get four, etc). And they can be purchased. A player can have up to 36 slots per server. :3

Srsly. Don't ever click on a balloon that your computer generates that says "System Alert: You have spyware on your computer, click here to download an up-to-date antivirus program."

Anyway, *Driven-Crazy, =SydneyPrimal, and ~Tsusai helped save my computer. My sister did her best to help me the night it happened until the morning when Sydney walked me through wiping my computer and Tsusai helped me find the right drivers to download because I my Drivers disc must've sprouted legs and walked out of my computer desk.

I lost nearly everything, including City of Heroes and Final Fantasy XI. However! I managed to save Illustrator and my pictures. Now I just need to get Photoshop and InDesign back up and running.

Wish me luck! :3 It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Had a little shot of inspiration as you've all probably seen. That awesomesauce picture of Kirei off to the left there called "Lost the Way." I feel like that's my best piece of artwork right now.

-I've begun the story of my official story for my fairies and imps. I'm calling it Magic: and it'll have a bunch of additional subtitles depending on the section of the story. The first part is entitled "Magic: The Discrimination-Causing Rift as told by Kirei"

-I now owe ~SydneyPrimal a total of four pictures. Hers are going to be spaced out amongst the other requests I'm trying to fill before I get more. (That means the first of yours is going to be completed after I finish the next portrait, Syd!)

-I promised another MxO buddy, Baten, I'd make him a portrait like I did for Tsusai.

Soo...I don't want to delete the old copies because I don't want to lose all the nice favorites and comments I've received but I don't want to bore people by just reposting the same pictures. So I've decided to edit the deviations and then post notices in my journal for their completion. Right now, I've finished "The Stache" comic I did for Batman.

I've started making character sheets for my original characters. You may notice Kirei is finished and I'm working on three more to cover his immediate family.

I'll be starting an additional two for Edelle and Pixel of the Lupine pack ~SydneyPrimal and I made for MxO at her request.

I'll be drawing another of her requests of Violet (Series of Unfortunate Events) and Edelle with a baby Lupine.

And somewhere in this stuff I intend to draw myself a new ID. Hand-drawn this time. Not that there's anything wrong with drawing in paint, but it takes a long time and at this point in time, I don't have the patience for it.

I'm not really on anything long-running...though I might color and post the next comic to XIII sometime. While I was away the first two seemed to build up quite a few favs. Any suggestions?

I'm still on the superhero thing. Though Nightcrawler from X-men has become a recent focus. There may be a fanart of him popping up.

I'm also working on some fanart for MXO which, if it's of ~SydneyPrimal's characters, it'll be posted on ~Riddler-and-Robin.

~Riddler-and-Robin has been a little deserted since my hiatus started. I'm gonna attempt to dust it off. There'll be a picture of ~SydneyPrimal's Rosincrantz from MXO: OTR soon. Uncolored because I dislike coloring with a mouse, I've discovered.

Next, I'm discontinuing my XIII comic. I know I didn't get very far in it, but I just don't think I can handle a long-term comic. I don't have the drive to keep carrying on with it. I think I'll continue it every once in a while. So sorry if anyone actually liked that comic, I'm sorry. @.@

I don't have a pattern of drawing at the moment..however you might expect some Batman comics and fanart. I've sort of re-discovered Batman, especially since I've got some DVDs coming so I can watch the cartoon I grew up on.

Other than that, I don't think I've got much going on. I've come to a super slow point where my output is low...Sowwy.

-I'm trying to keep up with some cobra art so those of you who enjoy looking at pictures of The Cobra Unit here won't be disappointed. ^.~

--The cover art will remain uncolored until I get photoshop back. The first comic was colored in paint, and that's okay for something small-ish but it would be totally ridiculous for me to attempt and color the whole cover art in it.
-I'm also working on a request for ~SydneyPrimal that might take me a little bit of time. I don't draw animals often and I don't want to screw up drawing this one and presenting an awful picture to her.
