Hey everyone! Club owner *Kakilali here! Sorry for not getting this club up and running as fast as I had hoped. Anyway, as you can tell the club is having a back to school theme for the upcoming school year. I know, I know. School's a drag and no one wants to go back, me too. But let's start the year off fun with a contest! You all ready for this?! I'm expecting most of you (if not all) to participate. ^^

Ok! So here are the rules:

Back To School Rules:

1. Entries MUST have Brendan and May
2. MUST show/contain contest theme in some way/shape/form
3. May have other other characters/pokemon, but main focus is on Brendan and May
4. Can be any type of artwork (traditional, digital, photography, cosplay, ect.)
5. Must be in color
6. Must be a member to participate

Deadline: September 5

Got that? Simple enough, right? And I'm sorry, but the prizes are gonna be a little simple this time. Meaning that we're really only gonna have prize artists draw for the winners. In the future there will be better prizes. And speaking of prizes and prize artists;

If anyone is interested in becoming a prize artist and/or donating a prize, please message the club. We would appreciate it if there were better prizes.

This next contest will involve a back-to-school theme. Anything regarding Brendan + May with a back to school theme. You may submit any form of art. Examples would be-drawings, crafts, cosplay pictures, fanfiction (not too long though), etc... As long as it pertains to the pairing; it should be fine. I asked if i could take over the club and she said it's all right. But now I'm thinking she forgot that she did cuz I see that she's still offering it to other people.

Anywho, so I'll be taking over the club now. I'll be honest with you guys, this is my first time running a club and I don't know much about it, so you're gonna have to be a little patient with me. But I really want to get this club up and running again. I hope that this club will be better than it was.

I do know I'm going to need some help. So if you're interested in becoming an admin please message me. I think two admins are enough. So the first two that message me (not the club) will become the admins. I would really like the help.

I want to make sure that there are still members that are loyal to the club. Meaning that they joined the club cuz they really like the May x Brendan pairing and not just trying to get into as many clubs as they can. So I want to make sure that the members (you guys) are still alive. This club really needs some participation. It's only practically dead cuz there is none. So I would like all the members that are willing to stay members of this club to re-send a note to the club (not me) saying that you want to stay. If you don't I'm just going to wipe out your name from the member list when I do a club clean up.

In the future I would like contests to be held. I would like your opinions on how to make this club better. And what sort of ideas you have for contests and other things. Please let me know!

dboywheeler: So, WGP, if you don't mind me calling you that, before we ask how you got into Hoennshipping... how did you first get into Pokemon in general?

witch girl pilar: Well... I first got into Pokemon when I came to the Philippines for a vacation when I finished Grade 3. My big sis and big bro told me all about the Pokemon anime. After that, I got hooked into it. I guess that's it. ^_^

dboywheeler: As is often the case, there's always that unmistakable first feeling. So, how did you get into the Brendan and May romance? Especially since the anime doesn't have Brendan? I mean, that would kinda give some fierce opposition, would it not?

witch-girl-pilar: Hmmm... that's a good question. I first got into the whole Brendan and May romance (or should we call it Hoennshipping) when my little bro bought his Sapphire Version. When I played it, I made a theory that May and Brendan are REALLY in love. My bro and I even made a role-playing about it! When we both heard about the Hoenn Saga, and the fact that May is there, I got so excited that I concluded that Brendan might be there too. But as days, weeks, and a year has passed, I got so furious learning that Brendan was NEVER in the anime, despite the fact that he appeared in the Jirachi movie for only 5 seconds. So yeah, I was really frustrated about that. But I still continue supporting the romance. (Current conclusion: Brendan might appear in the Shinou Saga IF May and the rest of Ash's friends are introduced in the Saga. )

dboywheeler: Wow, you said a mouthful! Um, as another prize for winning the contest, would you like to pick the next contest for the club? What would be a nice (relatively clean) theme for the next contest, if you were to pick?

witch-girl-pilar: Ehehehe... sorry for saying a mouthful. Just can't help myself. Anyways, hmmm.. if I pick a theme for a contest... whaddaya say about a Christmas theme? After all, Christmas IS coming soon...

The contest theme: Create a DeviantID for the club! We have an avatar, now what we need is a DeviantID (and perhaps a welcome pic for Featured Deviation, but that contest can wait till later).

Rules:
No Mature Rated Stuff! Keep it family friendly.
No stealing other's stuff--if sprites are going to be used, get the DA admins' approval first (and if the sprites were made by someone else, get his/her approval too).
Most important: It must be Brendan and May romance! (natch!)

Possible ideas:
Can't go wrong with a kiss pic.
Brendan and May sharing a soda is nice.
Brendan and May holding hands, with Torchic on May's shoulder and Mudkip on Brendan's head (or whatever starter).
Brendan cheering on May in a Contest, or maybe May as a cheerleader for Brendan in a battle.
As long as it's family friendly, whatever you like.

Due date for entries: May 20th

Then voting will be from May 21st to May 27th. Winner's entry will become the DeviantID... and the winner and I [~dboywheeler] will discuss the prize.
