Hey there !

I haven't updated much recently, sorry about that. I have landed my first real illustration jobs for publishing companies and my workload has literally exploded ! I'm almost done with all this, and I can't wait to show you the results and the books next year :)
I'll be spending Christmas with my family and after that I'll be leaving for a well deserved vacation in Russia for the new year celebrations, so I'm closing commissions until January !

So I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but today I finally found some time to clear my DA gallery of all the old stuff. I deleted a lot of pics : those who have been stolen too many times, those that did not reflect my style anymore, and those I wished I never drew lol. I also deleted the whole Wishes Comic, because right now all my time is dedicated to paid work and I can't resume it at the moment. My DA subscription has expired, I had not noticed because my journal skin was still there. But now I'm plagued with ads and "friendly reminders" that I should subscribe again, and that's really annoying... I had not noticed how DA has changed when I was a premium member, but now I do. It is so annoying to have ads everywhere.... doesn't really feel like an art gallery anymore. I used to think DA was THE friendly place for artists but now it's more like a multinational with ads along the highway.

:bulletblue: Uh, I haven't updated this thing in forever. Sad part is, I feel the need to because of the drama about my Mulan painting.

I can deal with the fact that some of you don't feel like the woman looks like Mulan. Because yes, I took some freedom, like with her eyes. I know very well she does not have green eyes, but you know, some Chinese people do have green eyes (the wonders of genetics) so I'm not committing a crime against humanity here alright ?
About the face, I fail with skintones so yeah, I guess skin is too pink. :bulletred: Just a little note to explain the commissions "waiting list" thing to those who do not quite get it.

It's simple actually - at the moment I can hardly cope with more than two commissions at the same time. And I find it easier to focus on only two, I think in the end the result is better and people don't wait as long as they used to.

So I put in place a waiting list. When my first two slots are taken, people who ask for a commission are placed on the waiting list (in chronological order, so if you're the first to ask, then you get first place on the list).

Today's my birthday, I'm 22 now :) I still haven't decided if that was a good thing or a bad thing but it's not like I can change that, ha !
I'm changing my journal css to celebrate, I just couldn't stand the previous one anymore. Messy and old. So I went for a simpler css that I customized a little but I'm not too sure it will show well in all screen resolutions/navigators so if that happens to you please let me know. It'll save us both a lot of time, for a lot of questions are answered there. And please bear in mind that you have to come with a specific idea of what you want (i.e. not "draw me something cute" or "draw my characters" with no further details). If you don't, chances are high that I'll refuse to begin until I have a decent description of what you want drawn.

As far as prints are concerned, I've already been asked a few times to submit some of my pieces to prints. I'm actually wondering if enough people would be interested in purchasing them. Please comment or note me with what pics you like and if you'd be interested, so that I can know if it would be worth the trouble of resizing and reuploading my pics ^^;
