Every now and then I save some money, cross the border and do some shopping in France. Oh the joy! I don't know how the French manage to do this, but the fruits and veggies you can get over there are so much more tasty and fresh. Misterious. And then there's all kind of nummies you would never expect to find here. And cheese! Bazillion different kinds of cheese: Fluffy cheese, goat cheese, black cheese, hairy cheese, rock-hard cheese ...

By golly, I just returned from the hairdresser. It was time to step into action against the pelt of doom. DOOOOOOOOM!
It started to get uncontrollable. Swearing at people and attacking little children. I was afraid of finding myself laying in bed one fine day, strangled... *shudder*
But now, everything is under control again, phew. Got me some nice colour, three blazing magenta/red streaks on chocolate grounding. Very sexy.
I looks good, me happy. Even better, I smells good, too. Like somebody squashed some berries onto my head and rubbed them into my scalp. *smack, smack*
Hehe, an now I head back to work and earn some money for food and rent and stuff

What I hate about science is that one moment of not paying attention can ruin a whole experiment. Just add a bit of bad luck, stirr vigorously et voilá - you got me! Fucking up the most important experiment of my thesis in a split second ...

Life is utterly amazing these days.
And weird.

Mostly weird
*sighs* But I like it. Does that make me weird? Probably.
Whatever. Labwork sucks, cuz nothing is going the way its supposed to be. Every day I keep on working like a mad thing and end up with nothing. I am so not a scientist *growl*.
But it will be over soon. And I might have a job by then! *Happy Employment Dance *.
You can cross your fingers for me. It might help. (Labwork makes you either superstitious or religious after a certain period). Nuff said.

Apart from that, I am working on NRFM and a short story, which will be published! *flourish*

Aaand I am re-doing the old AnimalTesting-strips.

has set up some webspace for me so I have high hopes that AnimalTesting will finally have its own homepace *prays*

So, err basically this all comes down to the fact that I am loosing sleep, but I think/hope I can handle it *snores*.

The company was charming as well. It could have been another great festival if it hadnt been for the very last day where things got slightly out of control.

First, a guy mistook my arm for an ashtray and extinguished his cigarette upon it (May I say that its not the most intelligent thing to smoke in the middle of a concert while everybody else around you is going crazy, duh?)
Second, my backpack containing a pair of glasses, my favourite scarf, a digital camera, a mobile phone and a purse got stolen. I wont wail about the monetary loss but the camera held two full memory chips with all our pictures taken. All my numbers were stored in the phone. Probably understandably, this left us very frustrated so we decided to curse the goddamned thieves:

May the Scourge of Schaab hit you at the part of your body where it hurts the most.

May your filthy hands rot and the remaining flesh get cancerous.

Every curse was followed by a libation, using our remaining stock of vodka. This made us feel a bit better (and a bit woozy). Later that day somebody found the purse lying around between their tents and called us. The money was gone of course, but everything else was still there. Another glimpse of light.
Then, we were informed that the main water pipe broke so there was no drinking water for the rest of the day. Guess what happens to a crowd of 40,000 people, burnt by the sun, mostly boozed and dehydrated? They go crazy sooner or later.
And crazy they went when a thunderstorm broke loose in the early evening. The main stages got heavily damaged, people were buried under the roof of a fast-food-booth, which came down. Luckily, none of them got hurt. Tents and pavilions were flying around. We ran to our car instantly, to be safe from the wind, rain and bolts of lightning. However, one part of the crown started plundering the bazaar while another part started setting fire to the damaged tents and garbage. I fail to describe how it felt to walk over the grounds and see these things happen.

Luckily, none of us got hurt but it will take time to get over these impressions. I find it sad that something as wonderful as music can turn into something which feels like youre back in the medieval times. People are strange.

important news, my friends. I am currently working on something thats going to be printed, yes printed! If everything works out fine, Ill be in a book. Whee!

On top of that, I am re-organizing my little comic strip ANIMALTESTING FURRY BEYOND ALL REASON. And thats where you guys come in. I need some break to work out the script so hereby I invite you to draw guest strips for animaltesting. The rules are easy: Go wild in style and storytelling but stick to the original cast of the comic. Every strip you email me will be hosted on myspace and linked to your page at DA ( As long as it does not violate the terms of reference of MySpace and DeviantArt or is of offensive content) .
Submission deadline will be the 15th of July. So you have a lot of time to come up with something wicked. I am very much looking forward to see what you come up with.

SECOND

I got tagged by

to write ten random things about my art. So here we go:

1. When I was a kid I used to tell long stories to myself and simultaneously draw them on large sheets of paper. Thats where everything started, at the age of 4 or 5.

2. I had my first (and to this day only) art exhibition at the age of 6 back in Hungary, without me knowing it. My parents didnt tell me that people paid to see my infant scribbles and called us at home to buy original artwork (Sheesh, I sure wish people would do so today). Honestly, I am very grateful that my parents managed to preserve my childhood and did not try to make money out of this.

3. I am 100% self-educated, never managed to stay in any art-school for a long time.

4. My tools of preference are pencils and inkpens. Id love to use brushes and colors more often but pencils are more fun

5. I am lazy and impatient so usually you wont find me spending a very long time on one piece (There are a few exceptions, though).

6. In contrast to that I am a perfectionist. Every drawing brings me close to madness as long as it doesnt look like the image inside of my head.

7. Im not too brilliant at talking. Drawing is my way to communicate anything, which is of importance to me. You can learn a lot about me while looking at my pictures.

8. I am afraid of backgrounds and ornaments.

9. I prefer drawing women about men (o.k. that was not hard to guess).

10. In my little universe music and art (in this case drawing) are closely bonded with each other. Couldnt live without music.

1. I carry a bottle of water around with me wherever I go and I dont like to share it because I am terribly afraid of getting dehydrated. Of course, I do get dehydrated a lot, because I forget to fill the bottle quite often (Duh)

2. I totally LOVE vinegar. Not only do I pour large amounts of it on almost every kind of food, I do drink salad dressing out of the bowl, when the salad is gone and I think that nobody is watching me

3. I cant watch scary movie (like Sixth Sense) or read scary books because thatll keep me from sleeping for at least one week.

4. I was spotted talking in my sleep, giving instructions to others how to prepare my favourite sandwich

Ah well, started to work on my thesis this week. It keeps me busy so I might not be able to get back on your notes as fast as I used to. Must concentrate on the labwork for a while, just to make sure that I do some good research and don't embarrass my supervisor

I uploaded a whole bunch of stuff today because I gotta leave on Thursday. I'll visite my parents over the holidays (no computer, no internet...).
Unfortunatelly I'll be VERY busy until mid-January (-> exam), so I won't do anything art-related until then.

the day of my untimely doom is near. There are only four weeks left until my big, BIG exam in biochemistry. I am afraid but I have to concentrate on reading and preparing for this. It's very important to perform as good as possible (it's my major...). Unfortunatelly that implies that I have to restrict myself on other levels, mainly the fun part: drawing.

I won't be around DA as frequently as before but I'll try to check in on you once in a while. And maybe I still find the time to draw something nice for you, who knows?

I guess every member of DA and every webcomic artist know the frustrating feeling of putting all your best ideas into your work without any feedback at all. DA definitely is a good tool for showing and sharing. Loads of good ideas and feedback. With a webcomic it seems to be more difficult (especially if you have no idea how to do all this internet stuff, hemhem).
Anyway, it sure made my day when I opened my inbox and found that mail waiting for me. But I don't want to bother you guys any longer with this. I am heavily addicted to music (and books, but this one is about music). There's hardly a day in my life without listening to or producing any kind of music. Especially while drawing (You can find out about that when you take a stroll through my gallery...)
During my last stay in Norway I had tremendously nice days. Cuddled up in a cozy armchair and drawing, while great people around me were playing guitar and singing... that was awesome and very inspiring.
But usually I have to restrict myself to recorded music. Which is o.k. 'cause it gives me reason to buy more CDs (mwahaha). Currently I'm all into music from the early 50'. There's going to be a "FABULOUS FIFTIES-PARTY" around here in a couple of days so it's all about fleamarkets and small music stores to find good, old recordings... great.
