Freshers week finishes this week though, and I'm going home to see people before the hard work really starts. x_o
I've made new friends, who are awesome. And even though I've had to change some of my modules in history I'm still looking forward to the new stuff. :]
Decided to take World Cinema in Film Studies as my elective, I find I actually get inspired by independent and non-mainstream films so I'm hoping for the best!
But the campus is as beautiful as always and I have ALMOST stroked a cow. Almost, I couldn't reach. T_T
Hoping to get some pictures from around the town soon, and maybe some new self portraits? Haven't had the time yet and too tired to be inspired.
I have a competition piece for Gaia to do tomorrow, theme is postsecret and I have an idea just actually need to do it. lol

I got news from my university today, I found out my accommodation and it's where I want to be! Huzzah!

I'm excited now, still worried about money but I'll survive. :]
I have my freshers week on the 22nd and then the real work begins.
I'm not sure how much time I'll have to get photos done, I still have the competition on Gaia but apart from that I have no idea how active I'm going to be.

But photography wise. I am still a huuge noob at this, I've never had any set guidance except those of my friends, who I encourage to critique my work.. with justification!
But I really really want to keep improving, I do believe that from the start of this DA account I have improved alot, this is supported by the increase in watchers and the 4 features, 3 in news articles!
This has really boosted my confidence in my own creativity and ability.

I am never going to be the best, but knowing that I have a passion for something. Something I feel I can get alot better at makes me really happy. Photography is the one thing I have the most confidence in at the moment, while everything around me is changing I still want to take photos.

I'm still planning to take an art and design course after I finish university as I'm taking a gap year to decide what I want from the rest of my life. This will have to include a photography course so I hope that will teach me alot more, espically about darkroom photography! :B

But I really want to thank my friends, who put up with me picking bits out of my photographs all the time and being a royal pain in the arse sometimes! xD
And for all those people I watch, you probably won't read this but you really give me inspiration either to be as good as you or just for a sudden flash of inspiration.

Anyways, officially the last day of sixth form today. I don't feel to sad about it but I guess by the end of the day that'll change. It's just weird. These are people I've spent at least 5 years with - some around 13 years. It feels weird to say goodbye after all this time.

Firstly, deviations. I feel like I have too many and want to rid of some but I'm horribly sentimental and can't choose which ones I don't like anymore. I may find some that may be more suitable as stock images and sort them that way.. I dunno. But yeah it's bugging me alot as everyone else seems to have a small amount of deviations. (Granted, they are popular and amazing at what they do hence massive page views) but yeah.. |:

Secondly since Thursday I have been back from my 3 day trip to Ypres, Belgium. It was a school visit and we travelled around Belgium and France in search of famous World War 1 battlefields (Mainly Passchendaele and the Somme). It was a great trip and I learnt alot more than I knew before. Hence the constant updates at the moment. xD
It was a hard trip emotionally (though I only cried once and that was a totally different reason anyways) but not as hard as Auschwitz was last May. I want to go back, especially to Ypres cos it is such a beautiful and amazing town. (:
Alex [link] and me are thinking about going next year and take part in a ceremony at the Somme to show our respects.

So, even though alot of my photographs will be of monuments I'm thankful for all the support as this means alot to me. (:

Got a new watcher. <3
Done half of my history coursework (huge feat!)
and am learning new tricks of photoshops.

So all is ok at the moment. Apart from the sudden attack of excema which I am putting down to stress. I mean really, a essay does more harm than good these days! D:<
And exams are starting to loom over. I'm sorta hoping I dont end up panicing - or teachers making me go to general studies. x_x
My immune system is still not great after the whole glandular fever-ness last autumn! I demand rest-age! lol

Not much is happening in life at the moment..
Am thinking of doing a series next week with alex and myself somewhere intresting.. considering we have 2 weeks off. The week after though I'm staying with my Mom so might be able to get a few new pics of loverly Somerset. I wanna go round Bath properly with camera at my side I mean I'm going to be living there in a few months I need to *know* the place. xD
