I was going to go to a RHPS midnight showing with Pandaman, but his dad screwed up on the schedule which was the first Saturday of every month, not every Saturday. So, we didn't get to go. This has instilled a great sadness in me, but I am ever-hopeful. Perhaps we can go next month (especially since my mom /finally/ agreed to let me.)

So, I've uploaded a crapload of new drawings that have been laying around. They really should have been up months ago, but I'm lazy and a procrastinator and that's all I have to say about that.

I am still trying to get my hands on a tablet but all the ones I've seen are ridiculously expensive and far out of my reach. I think perhaps if I ask for one for Christmas this year it would be my best chance of getting one. ^_^

A single beam of light has entered my heart and lifted my spirits a bit. Obviously I wont be instantly healed, but I have a droplet of hope in my heart. I've found something to fill the void in my heart and give my smiles something on which to stand.

Oh, I wish I could tell my secret to the world but I'm not allowed to. Not yet. In due time, I'll scream it from a mountaintop!

Now there's atleast one good thing in my life. I have something to hold on to. Something to live for.

I cannot wait 'till I'm allowed to spill my guts. I can't even post the drawings I've made recently because of this! Ohh, holding it back is killing me.

How strange it is; to love someone whom you've not yet really met. *Sighs happily* This is exactly what I needed. And it'll only be a short while before I can share the cause of this profound happiness.

I feel that perhaps my life is turning around. Maybe I'm not a damned and terrible creature as I thought. Maybe this new person can fix me. Fix this broken mess of blood and tears.

It's times like these when true friends show their real colors.

The few who (somehow) still manage to love me through all of this, paired with a certain someone special that just wandered into my life recently, have helped me start to heal properly. I'm actually laughing and smiling now and then and when I start to feel low my safeguards are right there to catch me.

Now I've started drawing more neutral doodles and even a few positive drawings. They aren't all depressing or violent like they were before. I think it's a sign of improvement, no?

I don't think I've ever felt so hated and alone in my entire life. As if I wasn't already disgusted with myself, I've been attacked by people I loved. I never meant to hurt anyone, and they've all told me that I'm not worth being around. That all I do is hurt them. That they hate me.

I used to never cry. Most of the time I would just sit there sobbing dryly, begging for some kind of release. Crying without tears is like dry-heaving and I thought it was the worst feeling I'd ever experienced. I was wrong. When you lay down in your bed at night and start crying for hours and hours until you fall asleep; that's hurt. What's worse is I wasn't even in my own bed. So I sat there, feeling as alien as I could possibly feel, crouched in the fetal position and the tears just wouldn't stop. I cried myself to sleep for the first time in a long while.

All I really need right now is a good friend. But I guess I don't deserve that. I don't deserve human warmth and compassion. That's how low of a person I am.

It's kind of ironic. I always thought I was a bad person. Ugly. Fat. Lazy. Hurtful. A failure in everything I try. I always thought I didn't have a place on this earth and came close to remedying that situation more than once.

As much as I kept beating myself up, this is the first time someone else helped. And it wasn't just one person, but four.

Four people told me I was a cruel sub-human whom didn't deserve their friendship.

Well, now I'll never hurt them or anyone else ever again. I'm writing myself out of the broadway that is their life. They'll be much happier that way. My pain is worth their happiness. It's too bad that I didn't come to this revelation sooner. I could have saved them the time and effort had I simply done this earlier.

I've just been having the crappiest of times lately. I've been really sick for a good portion of my spring break. One of my best friends has banished me from her life. I feel like my heart is torn to pieces and my boyfriend is suffering for it. Everything seems to be collapsing onto my head and no matter what I do nothing is working. It's like trying to swim against a heavy current; I struggle and struggle but I'm not getting anywhere. I'm trying to keep a smiling face for my mother's sake. She tries really hard to give me a good life and I don't want her to know how crappy I feel. I'm beginning to resort to my old ways of lashing out at people; short-changing the people that care about me. It's fairly noticable that I am not my cheery self by looking at my recent drawings. I just...I wish I could move on. I'd love nothing more than to finally put this behind me and live out my life but I can't. I can't just forget...I'm not that cold...

*Sighs* There is little anyone can do to help so you needn't bother to try. Compassion can only stretch so far and all the best advice in the world wont move mountains. I know what needs to be done to heal my heart and it's not going to happen. So why try? I might as well just come to terms with my emptiness. Embrace my misery. And try not to hurt anyone around me. It seems that's all I can do...

Today we had an earthquake drill at school, but it was a bigger deal that usual. Instead of just saying on the intercom "We are experiencing an earthquake" they instead made sound effects to simulate the real thing. We had to scramble to get under our desks and wait until the "earthquake" stopped. Some students were told, by their teachers, to feign injuries and deaths to make it more realistic so that the teachers would get more comfortable with helping an injured student in the case of a real earthquake. Because this was a thirty minute practice and it's something that no one in the area has tried before, some principals from other schools, city officials, and (supposedly) a news crew showed up to record the process and decide whether or not they should do this sort of thing at all the high schools.

That would have been great on it's own, if not for one teeny detail. This week is spirit week at my school (where each day has a theme, e.g. "Beach Day") and today happened to be "Gender Bender Day". Yup, that's right. Tons of girls were wearing saggy pants, sunglasses, and baseball caps while a bunch of guys donned skirts and dresses; dressing pretty provocatively even for a female. If they end up making some kind of new story about this drill, it is likely to see some guys and girls dressed in drag amongst the crowd of students.

I can't wait to find out. You can bet if they end up making a story, I'll Tivo it. ^^

Oh yeah, and the title? I hung out with a couple of my guy friends, Phreqsho + Joe, on the football field and when we were on our way back to class they decided to squish the heck out of me. One was on my left and on on my right; the next thing I knew, They were hugging eachother and I was stuck in between feeling oh-so-tiny (because both guys are 6'+, and I'm a puny 5', 6".) So yeah...a Mina sandwich.

Well, I am finally finished with semester finals. So now onto semester 2 with a clean slate and another chance to mess up. Heheh, no, I'm just kidding. I really do want to do well in school.

I've just seen my parents for the first time in eight days because they were out of state attending a funeral. My step-father's dad died last Monday. I feel really bad for him, but atleast his father is at peace.

Because both parental units were out of town, I stayed for a few days at two different aunts' houses. The first aunt is Michelle, who lives in the mountains. I took some good pictures up there so once I get then developed and scanned, you all will be the first to know.

I just spent the day with a few friends at the mall. We saw Epic Movie and it was friggin' hilarious!! They spoofed Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, X-Men, and a bunch more. Oh, it was great. If you get a chance to see it I highly reccomend it for those who like scary movie-like spoofs. "Badonkadonk!"

Well, the good news is that I'm out of my depression. The bad? I'm sick. And I HATE being sick. I do, however, have all my friends back together in a tight knit grop and their helping me deal with some stuff, like the death of my great grandmother. Also my friends Mike + Kittin' got me into GaiaOnline.com. It's...interesting to say the least. I've attempted to draw my little avatar a couple of times so those may find their way onto here. I should apologise for not updating but seeing as I haven't gotten a comment in months, no one seems to be even listening to me anymore. Which is fine. I don't really care anymore...

Even when I was little he was one of my many inspirations to follow a field of zoology, something I am even more certain of today. Some people are saying things like "he had it comming" or the like but I don't think so. The stingray's attack was a one in a million occurence and it is one of the more harmless creatures he works with. I look back at his vast career and love for animals and smile. I say, atleast he went out doing something he loved.

I feel extremely sorry for his wife and daughter. I think Bindi will follow in her father's footsteps. In one particularly recent show, Steve and his crew were piled on an enormous crocodile and taped and roped its mouth shut. As Steve put a tracker onto the creature (who was now calm) Bindi kneeled down in front of it and started to patch up a small cut it had gotten on it's nose. She seemed completely unafraid and if anything extremely respectful towards the magnificant reptile. Though sad as it is, he is leaving behind a legend and a promising young lady who might continue his work in educating and exploring.

Rest in peace, Steve.

Update:

So, um...The featured artist will be a new section of my journal where I put up one of my favorite artists on DevArt. I highly reccomend you go and check Anklebones out. She's a furry artist with a very interesting style.

Also, today was my first day of my Junior year. I have some pretty cool classes and some great teachers (well, for the most part.) I am so excited about AP Art History. Our trip to Europe will be awesome. It will be a ten day trip and we'll be going to 4 different countries and it will just be...awesome. :3

I'm going to try to stay organized this year and my goal is to get a 3.0 or better so that I can raise my overall GPA. That means nothing lower than a B this year. It will be difficult but I know I can do it if I stay focused and don't slump back into my lazyness.

Hey, I'm doing trades right now if anyone is interested. I have 3 more spots available.

I'm somewhat looking forward to school starting again. I'm happy to get to see my friends on a daily basis and I have some awesome classes this year and only one that I dislike. (Cough*math*cough)

It's also pretty cool to be sixteen now. (In case you didn't catch my last journal, I turned said age on Aug 5th. ) I feel like this is the true turning point between childhood and adulthood. I'm going to get my driving permit soon, my very first formal dance is this year, and I'm taking a class that will invole a field trip to europe to study the art and culture there. It doesn't neccecarily mean I'm gonna act any older, but I will have more freedom.

Oi, I'm gonna be 16 soon! XD Very exciting. My mum isn't really thrilled. She wants me to be her little baby forever. I dunno, I think I'm just immature enough that I might be able to pull that off. Lol.

I just returned from Maui and had an awesome time. It was actually less hot there than it is here. Odd. Seeing as this is like an average climate and Hawaii is supposed to be like all tropical and heat+humidity=death but it was actually really nice.

School is approaching. Bleh. Doesn't it just make you want to throw up a little bit? Nah, I guess it's not that bad. I'll get to hang with my friends again. Oh! I almost forgot. I have a new class that I'm taking next year (and when I say new I mean new to the school as well as me). It is AP Art History and we will be taking a trip to Europe at the end of the year. Isn't that awesome? I'm gonna have so much fun. Sorry, not to make others jealous or anything. I'm just excited.

So yeah...there's my journal update so you know I'm not dead. *pokes the pageviews* Man, I wish I could get over 1000.

Secondly, I have revamped Stick Wolff into what you see now. She is no longer winged and rather than being grey furred with green hair, I cut off her forelocks and made her half and half. Her right is bright green, her left is purple, and her eyes are yellow. I will be drawing her a lot more now and most likely in MS Paint because I'm too lazy to use meh scanner.

I've done a couple of fanarts for people and may do more if I get the inspiration for it.

I dunno. I'm bored...

Um. My mum, my step-dad, and I just returned from a trip to the small cornfield town of Hampton, Iowa. My step-dad's family lives there and we visited for a week. It was cool. Since they're getting married in November, I am gaining a whole set of cousins, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents. I love them all so much already. It was interesting to go over there. Everything is laid back and has such a sence of family. I felt so welcomed into this large family. It made me feel different. Not saying that the rest of my family isn't just as loving, but they all seemed so down to earth that it made my heart sing. I loved all the old landmarks in northern Iowa. I took some pictures which I will be posting soon.

I've also scanned all sorts of simple sketches onto my mum's laptop. Unfortunatly, he internet wasn't working at home, so it might be a while before I can upload them onto the net.

Lots of hugs to all those out there that have been commenting or favoriting the stuff that I've had up for quite a while. It's cool that some of you actually go through people's galleries to see what fun they might have put up previously.

My father has come to visit from the 24th to the 31st. It has been awsome with him around. I was having some trouble dealing with this whole thing about my uncle and he's helped out a lot. I'm still trying to just ignore what happened and get on with life but I find it in the back of my head all the time. I cant even sleep because of it and had to take the day off yesterday to be able to contiue school this week.

I don't need any consolence or whatever, I'm atually feeling better just writing this down. I don't want to ruin your day with bad news, so I wont fill you in with details. I have tried to scan some stuff but it isn't comming out right. It will stil be a while before I post something new. I do apreciate communication through notes and comments though, so please keep checking stuff out and talking to me. I'll listen to even the smallest of things. Despite how much I talk, I /can/ be a good listener. All the best,

I had a decent summer. Went to Disneyland and places...yeh...fun. My cousin is here from PA and she's preggers! ^^ Much fun.

I've been drawing LOADS but I'm not sure when I'll get to scan some of it. I'm also becomming active on my website again. Anyways, I hope everyone didn't miss me too bad.
