I can happily say that this old and dead club has now been turned into a group!!

But wha does this mean for you?
Wel now you don't have to send silly notes asking to join...you can just click 'join' at the top of the page!
Also, you can SUBMIT ARTWORK YOURSELF, without noting me.
How much easier is that?!

Because the group is connected to my main dA [age which I use alot, I should be able to keep ontop of this group and fix any problems that occur.

This is getting desperate. Page views are on the up, and the members list is getting bigger and I need another Admin. I can't do this by myself anymore and I feel guilty not being able to keep track of this club. I am incredibly busy at the moment with my A-Level exams coming up very soon and lots of deadlines to meet.
Therefore I have been thinking that I need another Admin who can handle submissions and new members so I don't fall behind. If any club members are interested that joined the club in 2007 or begining-mid 2008, then please let me know by sending me a note to my personal account here on dA -

I am going to say sorry over and over again for not being active in this club for a while. I have had exams, coursework and personal issues, so please don't have a go at me because I will not tolerate rude behaviour. It's a busy and very important time in my life at the moment because I am applying to University, so most of my time is spent dedicated towards my studies. Sorry.

He failed all of his exams at school but was fortunate to be taught by an inspiring teacher who gave him a lifelong love of reading.

Since leaving school he has worked as a car trimmer, a cementry gardner, a teacher and an archaeologist.

It was during snatched cofee breaks from his job in a busy bookshop that Stuart wrote his first children's book, The Cry Of The Icemark. Not only did his debut win the inaugural Ottakar's Children's Book Prize in 2005, it also recieved extraordinary review and media coverage. It has been translated into 15 launguages and a film is currently in production with Fox 2000.

Blade Of Fire is the second book in The Icemark Chronicles. Stuart is now a full-time author and is writing book three.

The Cry Of The Icemark tells the story of Thirrin Freer Strong-in-the-Arm Lindenshield , a fourteen year old princess to the land of Icemark.

Thirrin enjoys life as a carefree daughter. She is like many teenage girls of today, bored at school and wanting to go and do what she wants. Her father, King Redrought Bear of the North, stresses that she not only is strong in the subject of fighting, but has the sharp mind of a competent scholar. After troubles in the forests, she meets Oskan Witch's Son, a fifteen year old boy, with immense healing talents, learnt from his mother. He later becomes Royal Advisor and accompanies Thirrin throughout the story.

Icemark is a small northern country at threat of war from the massive Polypontian Empire to the south (the equivalent of the Roman Empire, only they are more technologically advanced). The-Land-Of-The-Ghosts home of the vampires, Wolf Folk, Zombies, Dark wizards and witches and Ghosts lie north of the Icemark and a collection of enemy islands to the East and West.

The Polypontian Empire, led by General Scipio Bellorum, have never lost a battle or war, and have taken control of all the countries around them, save the Icemark . They are said to improve the world with Science and a better quality of life. They are almost certainly inspired by the Romans.

It is in one of these Polypontian territorial wars that Redrought sacrifices his entire army to give Thirrin time, after making an alliance with the Wolf Folk, to evacuate Frostmarris, Capital of Icemark, before the entire Polypontian army invades. Thirrin succeeds to get to the Hypolitan people, an Amazon-like tribe, who were forced out of their lands for they could not live the way they wanted to, much like the exodus of the Hebrews. She is disheartened however, when several Wolf-Folk spies come back with her father's dead body. As a result, Thirrin becomes Queen of the tiny northern country. She embarks on a quest to find new allies for the Icemark,resulting in alliances with the Vampires and the mythical and ferocious Snow Leopards. Later, as the harsh winter's ices begin to Thaw, the Polyptian army begins to advance. Queen Thirrin's army of her own Housecarles, the Snow Leopards, the Wolf-Folk, and Vampires are waiting for them.
An immense battle ensues, ending with Thirrin, backed by Tharaman-Thar, leader of the Snow Leopards, in a one on one battle with Scipio Bellorum. She manages to cut off his hand, but before she can finish him, he is saved by his cavalry and they retreat. Thirrin later returns to Frostmarris.

Blade of Fire

Blade of Fire picks up twenty years after The Cry of the Icemark ended. It follows a second Polypontian invasion of the Icemark, and the adventures of Thirrin's youngest son, Charlemagne. When war threatens the Icemark again, the crippled Charlemagne is sent to the South Continent as Prince Regent to the exiled Hypolitans. He has no intention of sitting out his exile like a good little prince, and sets off to find some of the greatest allies the Icemark could hope for. He travels through deserts and finds refuge with the mysterious female mages of the deserts.

Meanwhile back in Frostmarris Thirrin and her allies are at war with the Polypontian Empire. This time the empire has a new weapon at their disposal - giant airships that can drop bombs hundreds of feet from the air to the ground.
