Maybe this will make him able to find freedom in that movie as I did.

For those who are just "tuning in," Glenn Beck didn't like WALL-E because he thought it had an environmentalist message. Since I'm a fellow conservative and I do like the movie, I thought maybe I could change his heart because I want him to be able to see the insight that Andrew Stanton and Pixar put into the story.

Notice my intentionally ironic use of Styx's song To0 Much Time on My Hands. Not only does it fit with the early part of the movie where WallE is alone on Earth (other than his pet roach Hal who's named after Hal Roach), but it's also a self-satire of me making that video in the first place.

What I'm really trying to do here is manipulate Glenn the way the Joker manipulated Harvey Dent into becoming Two-Face. But don't tell anyone, okay.

And then I found out that Glenn Beck thought it was an environmentalist hippie movie which iritated me because I like Glenn Beck and I don't like it when people who I usually agree with don't see things right. Also, he does a disservice to us conservatives who did like the movie. Gives us a bad rap.

Andrew Stanton, WallE's creator is apolitical by his own admission and did not intend the movie to have an enviro message. However, certain allegories can be drawn from the themes expressed in the movie, intentional or not. The first that comes to my mind is the wellfare state. Humans are portrayed as giant babies, globular and immobile. That could be an allegory to people on wellfare while those of us who work would be robots (Earth class or Axiom class depending on what kind of work you do). Now I'll admit, the Jabba the Hutt lifestyle does have its perks, but would be boring in reality. Humans onboard the Axiom are bored and dissatisfied with their existence. It's interesting how WallE causes people to wake up from their stupor without even intending it.

The use of the colors blue and red has no political significance whatsoever, although I'll admit, I drew my own conclusions on that. Stanton said it's coincidental and the colors are only used for contrast (not verbatim). Yes, I actually did research this stuff. Yes, I am that much of a geek.

Glenn is, as he describes himself, a sick twisted freak. But I'm even sicker and more twisted. I am a jaded cynical irredeemable psychopath with rapid-cycling bipolar tendencies and an icy heart black as the blackest black hole. That movie melted my icy black heart (and then it grew two sizes, heh). How is it that a deranged freak like me can enjoy this movie, but someone like Glenn -- who's only a moderate freak -- sees only negative notions that weren't part of the intended theme?!

On a lighter note, props to Peter Gabriel and Ben Burtt for the music and sound design. I loved Peter Gabriel's videos as a kid in the '80s and Ben Burtt is, as Stanton describes him, "the father of R2-D2."

Also, I don't know how to make YouTube AMVs or whatever they're called, but I'd like to learn how. There are so many songs that go with WALL-E, mostly Rush songs like The Spirit of Radio, Closer to the Heart, Limelight, and of course, 2112 Overture. Spirit of Radio seems to really fit the most. So many great AMVs could be made -- if not by me, somebody...anybody! Just credit me for the inspirado. I even thought of one with Oingo Boingo's classic No One Lives Forever (my theme song). I have certain ideas of which songs go with which scenes and whatnot. Oh, and there's gotta be one with Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Right Round. You can guess which scene that goes with.

For some reason, my latest journal entry won't post right, so I'll post it here as a contingency plan.

In these videos, I showcase the new slot-2 weapons you get if you join a faction. The ObLost MP7, like the HL2 MP7, is unrealistic. It's closer to the correct size and proportions, though. I prefer the Pernach that you get from Professor Sakharov if you join the scientists in Yantar. It's more practical since it's chambered for 9mm Makarov (most prevalent ammo in the Zone). Load it with +P+ and it's especially awesome. The Bizon is still my top fave of all the new weapons I've used so far. The PPSh-41 is also excellent, but the Bizon is my first choice since it fits in slot-2.

Here's a very rad video featuring the song Reach Out by Cheap Trick (released on LP in 1981, re-released on CD in 1995). This song is featured in the "trial of Captain Stern" segment of Heavy Metal.

The original Heavy Metal beats the piss out of Heavy Metal 2000 if you ask me. HM2k isn't bad, don't get me wrong (I love Zeke), but it doesn't have the panache of the original. Animation was different in the '80s. I can't quite articulate just what it was that gave it that feel, but it's something that's just there and you know that it's there but you can't describe it.

If you know carto0ns, you'll quickly notice that Jammet is voiced by Charlie Adler. He's a rat with a Right-Wing(ish) attitude, is pro-gun, tends to gorge himself like Templeton from Charlotte's Web, and has a New Jerseyesque accent. However, you'll notice an anti-gun message to this particular episode. The hippie character's name, fittingly enough, is Berkeley.

I'd never hoid of this early '90s carto0n til recently stumbling upon clips of it on YouTube. Speaking of the '90s, you might recognize Charlie Adler as providing the voices of the characters Ed Bighead, Bev Bighead, Ickis, Buster Bunny, Cow, Chicken, and others from various shows. His resume is extensive and his normal voice is nothing like the voices of most of his characters.

Anyway, some of Jammet's one-liners are great. "Who are you...the UN?" Priceless.

These mods have enemies from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost (Do0mblivion Lost, heh) revisited into them! The people playing don't seem to be very g0od, though. Notice how, in the two-face beast one (blo0dsuckers also join in the fight), the player doesn't use the sights on the Big Ben (Desert Eagle rechambered for 9x39mm, not realistic but ultrapowerful). They do aim the Bulldog 6 (RG-6 repeating grenade launcher).

In the zombie vid, the player aims with the over/under but not the sawed-off side-by-side. Even with the sawed-off, it's more effective to actually aim, despite its lack of a bead. At first, I thought that music was Cannibal Corpse, but it's actually not.

These radiation zombies are different from the zombified stalkers from the vanilla (unmodded) game. The regular zombies are actually stalkers whose brains have been fried by the Brain Scorcher, a massive psychotronic device consisting of a series of five antennae, one of them inoperable, that emit psionic interference that causes brain damage to those exposed to the psi-emissions. When someone's brain is "scorched," they become a wandering shell of a former human and will attack any non-former-human-turned-freak on sight with whatever weapon they have, only firing from the hip (which makes them less dangerous at long range). The best weapon for exterminating these zombified stalkers is a scoped rifle of your choice. My favorite is a scoped Obokan (AN-94 in para-sniper configuration -- standard-issue version, not the "Sniper Obokan" which is a unique rifle with a fixed scope with improved optics).

Note: Snorks (also a type of former human) and zombified stalkers don't attack each other. I love pwning snorks with a scoped Obokan (because they're challenging for headshots), but a shotgun is the most ideal choice because of the erratic way they move. My favorite in-game shotgun is the Chaser 13 (Maverick 88, not Winchester 1300). Just for sheer challenge, I've practiced pwning snorks with pistols. So far, the pistols I've used for pwning snorks with headshots are the following: PMm (Makarov PM -- 9x19mm Makarov), PB1S (PB -- 9x18mm Makarov), Walker P9M (Walther P99 -- 9x19mm Parabellum), SIPt M200 (SIG/Sauer P220), and UDP Compact (HK USP Compact). Next, I'll probably try it with a Fort 12.

I never use Desert Eagles or SPAS-12s because they're to0 cliche' and to0 Hollyw0od.

In other news, Tuesday I t0ok part in Operation Chaos. That's right, I'm a Chaos operative. That means I'm a Republican do0m agent under the command of Rush Limbaugh who voted for Hillary to keep her in the race against Obama for the sake of creating disorder and mayhem within the ranks of the Democratic machine to decrease Obama's chances. Operation Chaos was a success in Indiana.

Some people have said that this is illegal. Constitutionally, it is not illegal. In fact, it's unconstitutional to require voters to declare absolute loyalty to a party. However, for those who continue to believe that it's illegal, I think Judas Priest said it best. Breaking the law! Breaking the law!

Tim Thomerson (best known for the character Jack Deth) is the Bruce Campbell of Full Mo0n movies. That being the case, perhaps Jeffrey Combs (best known for the character Herbert West) is their Ted Raimi. I read on YouTube that Danny Elfman's brother directed, produced, or had something to do with Shrunken Heads. The Oingo Boingo song No One Lives Forever is featured in the climactic car chase scene toward the end of the movie. That's the first time I heard that song when I first saw Shrunken Heads back in the '90s.
