So, tell me, how did your day go?

To spice this journal up with a bit of conversation, what's your favorite part of Thanksgiving? And, of course, the best part of the big feast?

Crap, we have a lot on our table when Thanksgiving comes around. I'd have to say my favorite part is the sweet potatoes covered in crispy, slightly brown marshmellows, the turkey with gravy, and the stuffing's pretty damn good, too. My mom also makes these awesome things we like to call "pigs in a blanket" way before dinner. They're basically tiny hot-dogs or sausages encased in small crescent rolls. They're excellent.

And, I absolutely love just laying around in my big, comfy chair and playing video games all day. Can't get enough of relaxation and fun.

Sorry for being gone so long. I didn't forget about this place, but I moderate/administer two forums, have school and hobbies, and I have nothing much to contribute to this place anyway in terms of art.

Hey guys! How are you all doing today? I'm doing pretty darn good - for the past 6 days or so I've really been watching my eating habits. I'm never going to lose these few extra pounds if I don't work for it, obviously. I've only been eating 3 meals a day, and not over-eating; just eating enough so that I'm comfortable. No snacking inbetween, and if I do I make sure it's not junk.

I've also been doing 50 crunches each day to help tone up my belly area. Now I think I'm able to move up to 60 crunches. I'm also going to try to do some squats, and I do 20 stretches to each side along with some lifting small weights... or rather, some heavy books that I have, because I don't have weights. ;D


So that's that, I'm doing good! What's really important about this journal is the fact that I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a possible first-time job. I'm 16 years old, so I can finally start looking. I'd like some tips and I have questions.


1) How do you guys look for your jobs? Do you go online, do you go into the place and ask if they're hiring, or do you call? Or maybe all three or just two of them?

2) If you call there, is there a specific person you have to ask for? The manager, maybe? Or do you just call up and ask whoever's there if they're hiring?

3) Tell me about your first job experience. Was it difficult for you or did you find it really fun?

4) What kind of job is more fun for you - working at a restaraunt, a store, or whatever else?

5) If you want, tell me about some nice or funny stories from being at work. ^^


Thanks a lot for helping. I'll need to feel confident about this first. I know I have to be persistent and to present myself very maturely and just be myself. I feel confident that I could do an interview pretty well, but I need to do first things first by actually LOOKING for places. ;D

Gosh, I really need to get some more art up soon. I just created myself a Halo forum signature banner, but I don't want to put it up because I used an image in it, which the dA staff will probably moan at me for having and take it off. If only I had decided not to be a dumbass and saved it before I put the image on it, so I could put it on here. Ugh, fuck me! D: But I forgive myself, because I'm just that awesome.

I promise I'll try to make a couple of neat Photoshop things soon. What do you guys think of me using other people's brushes for my art work? Do you think that is okay for me to do as long as I discredit myself for the brushes, or do you think it would be better if I tried to create and use my own brushes? Amd finally, school is out! My grades have been dwindling all year - the worst grade I got on my report card was a D for freaking reading class, because I got lazy at the end! Oh well! I'll have to try harder next year.

Oh, and final exams! I got a B on all of my exams except for western civ, which I got a D in! A lot of people said they got D's on that stupid exam... because the teacher gives us a 6-page study guide along with 3 stupid maps with questions that have impossible answers... all of this 3 days before the stupid exam!! I was really pissed. She expects us to study for all of THIS stupid shit within the three days we have when we all have 5 or 6 other exams to study for! Most of the stupid crap I spent a century looking for wasn't even ON the goddamn test. <_< Ugh. Whatever. It's over with. I'll start off fresh next year!

GOT MY FUCKING BRACES OFF YESTERDAY It definitely does create quite the difference in my appearance, I'll say! After having them for 3 solid years, I'm very satisfied with the results - it was very much worth it.

Oh, and tomorrow at school I'm taking the ACT PLAN test! Didn't have to go to school yesterday because the sophomores were taking it, and it was pointless to have us freshmen go. So it's our turn tomorrow, and we get out at around 12:45-ish... Great! I will probably suck. This test is a practice test for NEXT year's test which is yet another practice test for the ACT in our junior year! Your results determine what kind of college you get into.

I've been playing much of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie! Gosh, I've loved those games ever since I was like, 6. I bought Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts about a week ago for the sake of having a game to play, and sad to say, it's not like I liked it very much! Of course, it can keep me occupied for some time, but it really isn't addicting or anything like that. I was quite disappointed! Oh well... Perhaps there will be another game that's better!

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Dark Alliance: Baulder's Gate, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Okage: Shadow King, the older Sonic games, the Paper Mario games (especially the first one on the N64) and all the other great Mario games, Fallout 3, and, oh Gosh, I could flap my lips all day!

Haha, gotta love those Super Mutants from Fallout 3, even though they tend to be sons of bitches. I also love them koopas, goombas, and boos from Mario. <3

Ohhhh... You know which one that pisses me off most? I really hate those things in Zelda: Twilight Princess that you first see in the dungeon at the bottom of Lake Hylia. You know, those things with the silver, metal shell armor on them, and they run at you head-first with this very annoying squeal. There is something about them that I have this irrational hate for! 6. My favorite enemies (bosses):
Bowser all the way! I also like Zant from Zelda as well. I hear Ganondorf's an awesome character, though I havent seen him enough yet. ;D

I really hated that guy in Kingdom Hearts II that attacked you with this guitar thing that had the power of water, and he would shout gaily, "Dance, water, dance!" >:c

Link and Mario! Midna's a really kickass character too. :]

I never had a chance to get to know this person, and I wish I could have. From what I see, she was a very dear, sweet person and she did not deserve to die from someone else's foolishness. She was an innocent person, and she is held dear to all her family members, many friends, and numbers of fellow deviants.

Some people criticise that the death could be a false one, but if there is no evidence to prove that notion, then death should by all means not be taken as a joke, guys. In reality, death is not something to joke about. Some of you guys probably can't grasp the idea of death. Death is a beautiful thing, as is birth, but in opposition to birth, every death of even an ordinary person is a loss to a microcosm of society somewhere on this planet. Know that somewhere on this planet, people are suffering from this person's death.

To grasp the idea of death, you must know that this person will never be seen again. This person no longer has the ability to think, feel, remember, reflect, or dream. Now, for those of you who are religious, it is good to know, however, that she will be looked upon by God and his angels in the heavens where it is secure and tranquil. Even if you do not have religious beliefs like I she will remain safe and secure in her resting place where she will be for the rest of time. Even as her physical remains decay the essence of her having been there will exist and will always be held dear to her family and friends, and whoever else.

First good thing that happened was when I managed to boost all my grades to B's. I had a couple of C's, but I did manage to bring them up before the semester ends. Every one of my grades right now is a B - a little worse than last time when I got 3 A's and 3 B's, but not bad at all. I admit I slacked off a LITTLE bit, but not nearly as much as I did last year. :3

Also, I got another post card in the mail by my reading teacher congratulating me for getting another A on my vocabulary test. :B

Then, when I went to go see my endocrinologist for my thyroid check up, I found out that my slight weight gain was most likely caused by the birth control pill I'm on, so I'm really relieved that it wasn't caused by poor eating habits or anything like that. I weigh 150 pounds - used to weigh 129 <_< Honestly though..? I really don't even look like I gained weight. My doctor said that I don't come off as looking overweight at all.
I mean, when I was in 7th grade and was 5 feet and 4 inches, I weighed 140 pounds and my arms were fat and my stomach was all bulgy, but it's not like that now. AT 140. Now I'm 150 and lemme tell ya, I look a hell of a lot smaller than I did in 7th grade. It HAS to be my thighs. NO! Maybe it's my tits. It could be my tits or my thighs. Yes. :]

OH! And I grew another inch! :B

NOW, FOR THE BIG SHIT. Best thing that happened at the doctor's office on Wednesday was when he said MY THYROID GLAND IS GETTING SMALLER.

HAPPY.
After having a slightly enlarged thyroid gland for so many years, it finally shrank! I can notice it myself, too. My doctor only felt my gland for a second and only had me swallow once - he knew right away and stated matter-of-factly that my thyroid was getting smaller. ^^
Everything else is fine too. My blood pressure is nice and low like it always is. :>

Also, I'm not getting so many headaches and fevers anymore after school from my Adderall. I used to be on 25 miligrams, but I got upped to 30. Surprisingly, the higher dose doesn't leave bad side effects. It's probably because the higher dose means higher strength AND a longer-lasting effect. What my problem with the 25 mg Adderall was that it would wear off right after school and I would get irritable/depressed, exhausted, and get these horrible headaches that were accompanied by small fevers. I hated it! D:


OH, AND GET THIS.
So we started takin final exams for the semester today, ya? I took my biology and western civ exams today - we had a lovely delayed school start so I got to sleep in a little, and we get an hour and a half to complete each exam; I pretty much always have a half an hour to spare. :3 Anyways, we put our answers on a test scantron by filling in bubbles that correspond to the correct answer, so since all the teacher had to do was run the tests through a machine, the grades came back in only a few minutes.

Everyone kept being annoying and asking the teacher what their grade was as if they expected him to memorize all their grades. He didn't want to tell us our grades yet in case there were any modifications to be made to them, but he said he would have the grades up in the student grades database online that we get to check by the time we all got home.

He also said that the HIGHEST score in the class was a 94%, and that the lowest score recieved in the class was a 76%, so everyone was relieved that they didn't get a D or an F on the exam.. So I come home a little later, go and rape on the computer power button, sign in to check my grades, click the final exam portion of biology...

and it said a 94%... next to my biology final exam score. I got 73 questions... out of 78... on my biology final exam.

I'm anxious to see what I got on the western civ final exam, and I'm a little nervous for the algebra, health, english, and reading final exams that have yet to come. Especially for algebra and health. Even though there will only be a few distance/rate/time word problems on the algebra one, I'm still practicing them like fuck. I find it SO hard to solve those word problems sometimes. The problem is gathering the infomation and setting up an equation. I can gather information just fine, but I get stumped on making equations out of it! D:<

Oh, and in regards to tests and quizzes, I've REALLY been kicking ass in school. I did so well on my last vocabulary quiz that my teacher sent home a post card thing to my parents praising me and saying that I got the highest score on the quiz in my class. Then I got an A on my math test - 97 points out of 100, according to my online grades. I also just got the highest score on my biology quiz in my class as well. I kick ass, don't I? Let's see. My biology teacher thinks I'm very smart, I've received a compliment by my English teacher that I am very polite, that I am one of the most well-behaved students she's ever had, and that my parents raised me well. I'm getting A's in EVERY single class. Every one.

AND TAKE A LOOK AT THIS. --Waves my freaking biology test in front of your face-- YOU SEE THIS? YOU SEE THIS?? I GOT.. A 60... OUT OF A 62... ON THIS TEST. I MISSED ONLY 2 ON THE MULTIPLE CHOICE PART, AND THEN I GOT EVERY OTHER ONE RIGHT ON THE WRITTEN PORTION. A BUNCH OF PEOPLE GOT LIKE 27 OUT OF 30 ON THAT PART OF THE TEST, BUT NO, NOT ME. I GOT 30 OUT OF FREAKIN 30, ON THIS BIOLOGY TEST.

As for my depression, I think that is getting better. I don't really get depressed during the day anymore. I still sometimes get down at night and I fall asleep depressed often, but that's probably because I get drained. Otherwise, I'm just fine. :]

Maybe you're wondering what my favorite classes are. Well, I think biology is my utmost favorite. I have it first period, which is good, because it starts off the day with me in a good mood. I always, always look forward to biology class. It's good that I have biology first, because then I will look forward to the rest of my day as well. It's just a lot of fun, I know a lot, and the teacher thinks so, too. The teacher makes the class very fun and interesting as well, so that's very good. :]

My other favorite class is probably English. I love to write and am pretty good at it. The teacher is also very nice and friendly. Western Civ is probably my least favorite.. We're learning about Egypt right now, so that's cool, but still. I've always hated history for some reason. Baaaah! D:

Seriously, like I said before, I worried about absolutely nothing. High school is fuckwin. So much better than middle school. All of my teachers are still amazing, and they all like me. C: In case you're curious and because I feel like it, I'll elaborate on my classes and freaking awesome teachers:

Biology - My first class of the day. I thought I wasn't going to enjoy this class very much because of how much I hated science class last year - my teacher last year was funny, but she moved too fast, threw crap on the board and expected us to know what it all meant. But seriously, my new teacher makes biology all the more interesting. We take notes, but we don't take a SHIT load of notes. And what's great, is that instead of explaining things the confusing way, he tells stories and gives hypothetical situations in order to teach us. It's fun, because he's so funny, very active, and likes to joke around. I always enjoy going to biology in the morning.

Western civ - I've always hated social studies, but my teacher for this class is fuckwin and makes everything pretty alright. She's my favorite teacher out of all of them and I'm hoping to get to know her some more. She spends a lot of time about the first half of class or so talking about what's going on with her and, you know, just chatting with us, and then she gets on with class and teaches us everything we needed to know for that day. She's really cool. 8D

Algebra - Oh my God. The teacher... is fucking hilarious. I freaking love math now all because of this teacher. He actually knows how to teach and also knows how to joke around. Seriously, he's just so funny. He knows when to joke around, and knows when to be serious, he seems pretty easy-going. He makes everything clear, and I have no trouble at all understanding him when I have questions. Although he gives an assignment about every day or so, it's really not a problem and I blow through them all usually when I'm at school because it's always so easy and since he makes everything so easy to understand. :]

Health - I don't know my teacher for health all too much, but he's pretty cool. He's very nice and has some fun assignments. :]

English - Haha, the teacher is awesome. She's social, active, knows how to joke around, and makes class fun. She's a person who doesn't tolerate disrespect and has respect for everyone as she tries to demonstrate to kids how they can be respectful as well. And that's a very good thing. :]

Reading - the teacher is very friendly, can be funny, and has lots of fun activities for us to do. She doesn't like it when you interrupt her or talk when she's talking, but she doesn't throw a huge tantrum like some teachers do. She's an overall good teacher. :>

I was just wondering and needed ideas. I know since she is blind she won't be able to enjoy some activities like people who can see. I know I could pop in a movie and she could at least listen, I know that there are some blind people who are happy to do just that.

I know that we could just sit around and talk, maybe I could amuse her with some of my guitar-playing, I could pop in a movie, like I said.. But other than that, I can't think of anything else we could do. She really is a very exciteable person, she would probably enjoy just about anything, so ANY ideas are muchly appreciated.

It's just that she's had a lot of problems with people in the past.. not only is she blind but she has a few other medical problems as well, I know she DOES have back problems, has had surgery recently and I will have to let her lay down on my bed some so she is comfortable. People have backstabbed her, started rumors about her, have made her cry SO much, have told her she is boring to hang out with because she can't do much due to being blind.. I mean, I'm one of the ONLY people who are interested in her for who she IS, and am not trying to be her friend because I feel SORRY for her. You know what, I personally do not feel sorry for her, because she is capable of doing anything she wants, she just has to work harder than others. I see her as a normal person. She's been hurt so much in the past and I really just want her to know that I'm her friend, I'll always be there for her, and most of all I want to make sure she knows that she is just as interesting and acceptable as anyone else.

Also, it would also be greatly appreciated if you would provide tips as to how to guide or take care of a blind person. I know that I should keep all obstacles so that she won't trip over anything, make sure she doesn't get hurt by sharp objects and whatnot, should announce when I am leaving or returning to the room, should ask her if she would like assistance in moving about the house and offer her an elbow when the answer is yes.. But give me some more tips if you can.

Dear Thyroid Gland,
I hate you a lot. When I went to see my endocrinologist today, I accused you of obstructing my air-way. Well, turned out the doctor didn't quite agree with me, so you got off the hook for a little while. He said that I should go to see an otorhinolaryngologist because he believes my obstructed air-way is due to enlarged adenoids. But later on I started to get a little concerned, so I looked up the term 'enlarged adenoids' on google. It looks like I might really have enlarged adenoids. I found out that hypothyroidism is one of the medical causes of enlarged adenoides, so now I am very pissed at you. My voice sounds VERY nasal (and always HAS sounded nasal), I have a cold and my adenoides drip phlegm and mucus down my throat instead of out my nose like it should, I have had discomfort with my ears.. I think all the facts I have is enough to prove I have enlarged adenoides.

And this is all because of you, like always. Every time I get a medical problem or some kind of ailment, YOU are always the underlying cause. You were the underlying cause for my speech problems, mental delay, ADHD, tourette's syndrome, and my over-weightness when I was little. I got over that, but then you go and help make me depressed to the point I have to depend on anti-depressants and be so deprived of energy. YOU are the cause of my annoying fucking ass nasal voice because YOU had to work with those fatass adenoides up on top of Mr. Nasopharynx. Hey, you are a selfish little prick, you know that? I feed you thyroxine every night because you can't make much yourself, you fatass lazy fuck. Yet, you either waste it on stupid things or don't use the thyroxine I give you. I am still tired during the day, so you are not doing your job. Silly non-compliant. All you want is more thyroxine. Gimme more, gimme more, gimme more. That's all you care about. My hypothyroidism (enlargened thyroid gland that produces insufficient amount of the hormone thyroxine, which is essential in regulating metabolism) makes shit hard for me. I feel like my thyroid gland is so big that it is causing me breathing and swallowing problems.

It seems to do this a lot. Right now I'm having a hard time breathing and have to suck in a lot of air like every 30 seconds or something. I also clear my throat and cough way too much because mucus gets stuck in my throat.

Seriously. I can literally FEEL the fucker in my throat right now, blocking off part of my airway with its big, fat ass.

My gland used to be REALLY big before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. It used to look like one pound of fat encircling my neck, and whenever I tilted my head upwards, it bulged out. People say my thyroid gland is not noticeable now, but I think it is. It makes me feel self-conscious, because I still feel like it's too big and makes me look fat. In fact, that's another reason why I always wear hoodies and sweaters at school, because I want to hide it.

This thing bothers me so much. I have ALWAYS had to keep constantly coughing and clearing my throat during school. And that makes me feel self-conscious as well because all that coughing HAS to annoy the other students trying to work. I mean, I am THE ONLY one who breaks the dead silence in the classroom, and it's because of me coughing and clearing my throat. I am fucking goddamn sick of it.

I don't need to have my entire thyroid removed. Maybe just a thyroid lobectomy, only remove about a quarter of it or so. Removing the whole thing is unneccessary, let alone very, very risky. People say it makes them PMS, more depressed, and really fucking tired, and I DO NOT need that.

It's possible they could damage my parathyroid glands in the process, or damage my vocal chords temporarily, or even permenantly. That most likely occurs when you get your entire thyroid removed though, I'm sure I'd be fine if I'd only be getting a small portion of it removed.

It's really bothering me.. It makes it hard for me to breathe, swallow, rid of phlegm in my throat, and just feels uncomfortable in my throat. I just want some of it to be fucking removed so it wouldn't be so goddamn big.

I realized I was worrying about absolutely nothing. I'm seriously impressed with all of my teachers (I didn't get to see who my biology teacher was though, because we had an assembly in the morning and then they hauled all of our asses to the front of the school to take a picture <_<, but I know the rest of them, they're all great. They're all talkative, funny, understanding, young, and nice. I'm happy with my teachers a lot.

I have no bitches that I loath in my class, and I caught nobody in the hallway. And the school is freaking HUUUGE. What sucks though is that all of my classes are all far apart. So, when I come in off the bus, I go upstairs to my locker if I need to, then I have to WALK.. TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WING.. AND THEN GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END.. OF THE LONG-ASS HALLWAY.. TO GET TO MY FIRST CLASS. Then I come out, have to go DOWN them stairs, I get out of that class, I'm dragged back UP the stairs.. Then back downstairs for advisory and lunch. Then I have to walk a freakin long way to get to Health.. then it's back again near where my advisory was at, when I WAS ALREADY THERE. I go in that class, then I have to go up the stairs, AGAIN, for my last class. THE SCHOOL IS SO BIG THAT YOU GET a 6-MINUTE PASSING PERIOD!

Aww, and get this. In 7th grade, Spooky and I were in choir, of course, and we had a friend named Josh, who was an 8th grader. So when we went into 8th grade we didn't see him, because he went to high-school. But I got to see him again today, so that was really good. I was happy to see him. I sit by him at lunch too.

I'm also going to try to be a friend to this one girl whose name is Shelly. I sit with her at lunch, too. Thing is though is that she's got so many medical problems. She's blind, has back problems, is slightly mentally retarded (although I think she is very smart, she's got a pretty big vernacular), and just.. people give her a really hard time. Some of her old teachers gave her a really hard time, people don't accept her very easily, people tell her she's annoying behind her back. She is EXTREMELY talkative, and I could understand why people would get annoyed, but Gosh. She just needs a friend to who she can sit and talk about her problems with. I'll listen to her and be there all that I can for her. In fact I gave her my phone number so she can call me after school. So I feel pretty good about myself for lending someone a hand, someone who actually needs it. :]

OOH OOH. ANDAND I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE P.E. UNTIL SECOND SEMESTER. IT IS ALLL HEALTH, FOR THE FIRST HALF OF SCHOOL. I freakin love health. It totally beats P.E. So I don't have to worry about having to do sports and freakin SWIM IN A POOL with a bunch of dickwads until the other half of the year. :'D

The only thing that pissed me off today was with the stupid busses. I had to wait.. A HALF HOUR.. for that damn bus to show. And right when I say screw this, I'm going home and having my mom take me.. THE BUS SHOWS UP. My mom's just about to get in the car when she sees the bus. Thankfully I caught it.
And my bus driver is a freakin nut! She has no idea where she's going, but I find her fuckin hilarious. She freakin said, "Ohh, he's gonna be on my ass for making these kids late," and then other time she's like, "Jesus Christ, how many of you kids are there, 6? Okay." Just.. wow. Right? :'D

I might have said this before, but I forget. I got into a fight with some bitch on the messenger a few weeks ago, and she threatened to make everyone at school ridicule me.. I really, really pissed her off. She sent my best friend a rude message on MySpace. What, what was I supposed to do? Let the little cunt get away with it and let her act all high and mighty? I won't tolerate that shit, especially after she backstabbed me before. She kept denying that she was the one who did it, saying her friends got on her account and did it. Either way, it was her and her friends.

I don't know.. I tell myself I can get through it all, but I'm not sure. I have a really bad feeling about this year. 7th grade was fine.. but it just started to go downhill again in 8th grade. I hate to sound like I'm trying to get attention, but over the course of my experiences in school, people have made me really, really weak. It's not the things that people say to me that make me get depressed.. I don't care if they call me ugly, fatass, dumb bitch, etc. It's the fact that people just don't LIKE me that gets to me. You know, I don't care about fitting in, I don't even want to fit in. I like being different. I just wish people would leave me alone. I try so hard, but it doesn't even feel like I'm trying anymore. All I want is to be able to get my work done and get good grades without people trying to get gossipy information from me and shoving me around like I'm absolutely worthless.

My depression hasn't been bothering me at all this summer, but when I'm in school, it's really, really bad. I get up and take a medication in the morning just to help me focus and stay awake. And even then it's still hard for me to concentrate, because I'm so goddamn fatigued. I come home, grouchy ALL the time, regardless how well my day went, and a huge headache. I am in absolutely NO mood to do work. All I want to do, is relax, do what I wanna do for a little bit until my headache goes away, stuff like that. Then, later on, I'm not motivated or I'm depressed, and really tired, I just can't do my work. Maybe if I try to do my work in the kitchen instead of here where there's so many distractions, like the computer. Yeah, maybe I'll try that...

I just wish I could take a higher dose of thyroxine, for my under-active thyroid. Maybe that'd give me more energy. BUT no. My doctor has to be a faggot and goes by what my blood test results say. So, let's say there's a meter, from bad to good, okay? If you're in between 1 and 5, then you need a higher dose. But if you're between 5 and 10, then you're absolutely fine. I'm most likely on the 5.. which means I'm absolutely FINE, just because I'm in that range. But no. IT'S A 5. I AM JUST about to go down to a 4, in the Not Okay range. Why can't they give me more? Why can't I be higher up there on the meter? I could be the best I could be with this, but I'm not. I could be a 6, a 7, an 8, a 9, or even a goddamn 10. BUT NO. I HAVE TO BE A 5. AND JUST BECAUSE I'M IN THE OKAY RANGE, IT MEANS THAT I DON'T NEED A HIGHER DOSE. I am so fatigued. And I am trying so hard to get through school. I have to try to convince them. Bagh!

I am a fifteen-year-old girl who is on summer break, and who happens to like to spend her leisure time on the computer. According to my opinions, I see "living life to the fullest" as living your life the way YOU want to live it. So if I want to go on the computer upon waking up at 7:30 at night until 6:00 in the morning to troll, chat, and bitch, then I will happily do so, thank you.

Okay. So. I have an under-active thyroid, which is a thyroid dysfunction in which not enough thyroid hormone (thyroxine) is produced. This hormone is very important just like every other hormone, because it controls how fast things work in your body. It controls your metabolism, how well your cognitive skills work, your energy levels, your mood. So, basically, if I was not on the medication that replaces thyroxine, I would be an even more depressed, fat-ass, mentally retarded, unfocused, too-tired-to-give-shit pile of fail.

I also have depression.

My new psychiatrist believes that the depression is not a psychiatric problem separate from the thyroid dysfunction, but is secondary to the dysfunction. In other words, he thinks that my thyroid dysfunction is the cause of my depression, which does make sense, because hypothyroidism does make you feel drained, which makes you stressed out and depressed. Lots of people with hypothyroidism are depressed.

He was such an ass though. My grandma has seen him before, and she thinks he's an ass, too. He asks questions that don't make sense and that my mom didn't even quite understand, and then tells me I do not understand his questions because of a developmental delay, which I don't have. At least, that's what he made it sound like. He made it sound like I am a mentally retarded piece of shit that cannot function properly because it's my body's fault for having hypothyroidism.
I'm going tomorrow at 10:00 for 4-6 FUCKING hours to do psychological testing. He wants to find out if I have a psychiatric problem separate from the dysfunction, or if my dysfunction is the underlying problem of my inability to focus as much as I can and my depression. And if it is - most likely it is - then I will have to go to my endocrinologist and get a higher dose... So hopefully it helps.

My mom and I got in the car to go home, and I started bawling. I felt like I still wasn't normal, and I automatically felt like I just wanted to end my life. She explained to me that I am not mentally retarded, which I'm not. My thyroid just sits there and shits, and doesn't give me the hormone I need to maintain a healthy life. Oh, you wouldn't believe how fucking ESSENTIAL hormones are to your body. The smallest details in hormones make such a big difference in your body. If you have too much of a certain hormone, you will think you're crazy and become psychotic. Too little, and you will become a depressed, tired, inattentive, lazy fuck like me. Since I don't have enough hormone, I don't do as well in school, making my cognitive abilities not as strong as they could be. Like I said, it's not because I am mentally retarded. If I am well capable of bringing home straight A's, I am not in the least bit retarded. And I am capable. If I sat my ass down at home and studied and did my homework, I'd bring home straight A's every quarter. But I can't, because I am too unfocused, unmotivated, depressed, and tired. And that's because of my thyroid.

Hopefully, when I go to do testing tomorrow, I'll find out what the fuck my problem is. I hope my thyroid is the problem, because I will go to my other doctor and make him give me a higher freaking dose, so I'll do better in school and get the grades I am capable of getting.

I feel better now since my mom explained what the psychiatrist meant to me. He just words things very badly, and I'm an extremely sensitive girl, so it just hit me pretty bad. I'm okay.

But yeah.. I'm just glad I only have to go to that fucker to get my prescriptions refilled. And I'm glad as hell he's not the one administering the long-ass 4-6 hour test tomorrow. <__<
