I know my art sells so have done some ACEOs and have some OSWOAs to scan - I accept paypal so have worked out I need to sell an awful lot just to regain my Fujifilm that I just adored or perhaps may get enough for a Canon so I could do better landscapes... at moment haven`t raised even enough for a new memory card

This weekend :Twycross Zoo, the Falconry Centre (way better than it looked from the outside!) and West Midlands Safari Park (which was disappointing )
Apparently I won`t need to take another photo to put on here for months... )

Just found out that despite taking many hundreds of animal photos they are hardly any in my animals or big cats folders - I`m really rubbish at this putting on business (would rather take them I guess )

It does take a great deal of patience so enjoy the fantastic devs below...
One tip is that dragonflies are usually territorial so a few minutes watching quietly usually means you find their sentry stick - damselflies are nearly as daft as butterflies so that`s down to luck. None of them like wind, spooks them
Decided on this as I was considering my 10 x 10 theme challenge and realised that yes I`ve got a few crossed off the list but haven`t looked at them since downloading them...
Have now got 12 Dragonfly/damselfly this year
4-spotted chaser, Banded damoiselle, Beautiful damoiselle, Blue-tailed damsel, Broad-bodied Chasers, Common blue damsel, Common Darters, Emerald Damselfly, Red-eyed damsel, Red large damsel, Scarce Emerald Damselfly, White legged damsel

My 400th watcher Wow 400+

Beginning of August we went to Twycross Zoo with - first person I`ve met in real life from dA (well that I didn`t know beforehand). Had a lovely time and got some lovely shots there and had a laugh on the first day; then went to a couple of castles (Kenilworth and Warwick) before being taken home by *quaddie in agony as kidneys flared up again To add to the fun I had a huge tooth abcess come up too - was really knocked for six - hence you haven`t seen me here much in past few weeks. Am now fed up with all this sitting about being ill, gets old real fast - on plus side have watched a lot of dvds and drawn quite a bit. Hopefully things will continue to improve and I`ll be back to normal, well at least what goes for normality with me!
Must admit these photos have just been dumped into my be sorted folder, haven`t even made it into my just name and make a smaller one for dA folder!
Still have to get a reasonable art programme for this new puta, any suggestions welcomed - simple is good after all I need it to do really is let me add name and change size, I don`t usually do anything else to my photos.

...got a newly emerged damselfly drying off so go me Of course couldn`t find it only ten minutes later when I went back to look, not even the empty exuvia...
yesterday a new species - the Emerald Damselfly!
Two new spiders, not very exciting I know...
...Also had a outbreak of bee shots, playing with macro - trying to get ten different species again this summer, as well as ten butterflies, damsels, ladybirds, etc!!! Will do a list soon... hopefully will manage more than last year...

In the time I`ve been offline I`ve completed over FIFTY traditional art masterpieces so will have to do some serious scanning and have several Gb of photos to sort!!!

Sadly last month Max our lovable golden labrador died thanks for the notes you have sent us - he is missed.
We now have two puppies who are jealous of my laptop already!
Grommit and Ziggy Two rather lively rascals only 11 weeks old make you appreciate a 14-year-old dog!!! Only another 4 days and then they can go walkies - not that I`m counting...

Update for those who have asked me about my Mum - sadly the ovarian cancer has returned but we won`t know which treatment until 19th. At the moment she`s not lost all the weight she did last time so that`s on the plus side.

As I haven`t got much time I`ll not be doing the normal features so go look in my faves folders - all nicely arranged for easy viewing...

June hasn`t been kind to me so far - had a humdinger of a migraine, turned into a lovely cluster which hopefully finally stopped last night! My *Quaddles-Roost has a poll about migraine tips etc if you`d like to read or add to it... I`d like to think my gallery there is worth a look anywhen...

Watchers will have noticed I`ve been to the Zoo lately - so I apologise now for boring you guys with the results! Have season tickets to two local zoos so more trips to follow, both have some great plants too though!
Have been spending some lovely hours by the water so have some more froggy photos and even a NEWT
Is raining this morning which is great news for the garden - been busy planting so hopefully many fabuluous insect and flower shots will hopefully ensue...

Realised Tuesday that this photo version of me has now been here a whole year ( on 25th January ) - yep my photos left *quaddles turning that into a pure stock gallery and have nestled here in ever increasing numbers In my adventures collecting stock photos I`ve discovered even more places and subjects to take piccies... Yep, I hadn`t ever taken an insect photo befor this summer!
Its been a fun year overall here (despite my real life turmoil) -
I have made many new friends on dA ,
learned a lot apparently I can still take a good photo after a twenty year break after college,
even sold a print
yet the help and support of you guys is outstanding
There have been negatives too few to mention in the whole - apart from weird dA stalker I had last summer... (I always attract drunks and lunatics wherever I go even here on the web it appears!)
...and my work appearing in photobucket , main reason the works will be watermarked now... Strangely never thought anyone would even want to steal them before, now are like my babies I get a tadge grrr... at the thought of them being molested by ne`erdoerwells.

I have still been drawing/painting and managed some photography - just need to stay awake long enough to scan and get ready to go on here. Have been working on many requested pieces but still haven`t finished them all... though some of you should have received your masterpieces by now

Firstly I sadly missed my first anniversary as on 25th September and will hopefully manage to scan my anniversary masterpiece later (or get *quaddie to do it for me ) Never managed 20000 by then though only apparently just over a 1000 off which wasn`t bad as I haven`t been on for over a month as this me So next target will be to pass 20K and hopefully get a DD this year

I am now on the Traditional Staff for can recommend that for the photography and writing features too.

Have decided to enter my first photo in this week`s topic was MEMORY so thought that some of my old photos would be an evocative illustration of enduring memories that can be passed down through time.

Have now added a sub as couldn`t cope without the easiness of thumbnails and easy messages

Looks like this gallery will be hitting 500 as my main gallery gets to 10K

Have just finished moving non-stock photographers from my watch list at *quaddles so can now hopefully be more organised

My main gallery is for traditional art
My first love really - but have always taken photos to use for landscapes, etc - though on here is mainly psychedelic, abstract, surreal, paisley works in pen and pencil.
