When university starts again, first I first have to resit the exam in physics. This will be very exhausting, because there's a sticky lecture note to pound into.

I've also already been in the "Hundertwassertherme" in Bad Blumau and it was a wonderful holiday. I also had fun at the "Kaltenbach Open Air 2009", although the weather was horrible almost half of the time and we quitted on Saturday. But: Dark Tranquillity on Friday was simply amazing!!
Tomorrow I'll start for the "Next Generation Open Air" in Styria. Hopefully the weather keeps up.

I also have finished my two bachelor thesis. The subjects are: "TBMN" (thin basement membrane nephropathy) and "Effects of omega-3 fatty acids, especially considering their impact on blood coagulation".

Furthermore I've spent a wonderful day with my dad and the motorcycle on the way to the Großglockner.

So, we'll see what the next term brings ...

Wish me good luck for all exams!

Good morning everybody!

Weather's very rainy today.
Yesterday Martina and I booked our room in Vienna for three nights. We'll stay in an Etap hotel, which is very cheap and we'll also have breakfast there. The rooms are rather small, but everything wherewithal is in there. They also have a shower, toilet and washbowl. But it's a pity that the washbasin is IN our sleep room instead of a seperate room.
Hej!

The last few weeks university things ran great.
As I told you I repeated the exam in ecology on March 13 and I got the results only two days before (so I had to wait more than one month!!) ... And yes: I've passed!!
On April 3 I took the exam for the lecture anatomy of plants and I'm very content with this grade, because it's a 2!

In our practical oceanic-course where among other things we have to draw scientifical figures of various animals living in the sea and prefabricated specimens. Last week we dissected Oncorhynchus mykiss (rainbow trout) and beside this we have to write a paper every week (only at this profs course days). For all my drawings and the last presentation about Lactoria fornasini (boxfish) I got the grade 1, which is very encouraging!

On June 6 I'll repeat the chemistry test ... Some think there's still enough time for studying, but it's a big subject matter. I'm curious, when the other profs finally announce their remaining examination dates! It's really annoying when they post the dates only two weeks before the examination!! You can't plan anything irrespective of the fact that then the time for studying is very scarce ... So maybe I've to write a few exams next in the next term.

I wish you a nice week!
to my friends!

Good morning everyone!

I'm a little bit tired, I've just got up 15 minutes before.
Now I'm sitting in front of my laptop while drinking a cappucino.
What's the news? Well, there are a lot of things which changed last week. Sonja, I think you know best.

After nearly five years of relationship I've separated from my boyfriend. Of course this was hard, but somebody had to make the first move and I consider it best. I've always hoped that everything turns to good account, but after an important conversation in february hardly anything was better. I couldn't take it anymore. But I am surprised how good it is to me.

And yeah, last monday I got my new piercing, it's an industrial on the right ear. I'm very happy with it and I think it's very becoming to me.

This evening I'm invited for a house party and I'm looking forward to it. I think it will be really funny.

And don't forget: Keep your fingers crossed for me on Thursday, when I pass the microbiology test.

Have a great weekend!

Hello folks!

So, a few time has elapsed since I had my first university day in my new place of study.
And I can give a positive summary.
In Innsbruck (where I've studied medicine before) I met people who turned out to be arrogant, dishonest and lukewarm after a few weeks. I can't deal with such character traits. From my real friends I expect to be honest, open-minded and insightfully. And I think I have found a few people where wonderful friendship will grow.
Of course everywhere there are persons you can't get along with, but now I have a better feeling than then.

On december 13th I'll attend my first examn in my new study "genetics", namely the test for the subject "microbiology".
I'm very content with my choice of study, although I sometimes regret my course of studies in Innsbruck. It was a wonderful time, even though I hated the curriculum. It wasn't enough to learn, I think in this course of study you only succeed, when you spend all your time in studying for the next examn, often you only can pass when you stolidly memorize the learning matter. Don't misunderstand, I'm up to give a lot, especially when something is my passion. But beside this I want to live, to enjoy my duration of study and the time with my friends. Nobody can always give his best. When somebody tries to give constantly 100 percent he will fail one day. I think I've found my way ... an that's the only thing which counts.

"Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies." - Aristotle

to my beloved friends ...

Hello folks!

Only two weeks until my new university life starts. I'm really curious about the things which will come up to me.
At the introduction lecture which we had about two weeks ago I've already met a few very nice people.

I also have plans for future lectures ... I want to attend the lectures "forensic medicine and forensic toxicology" and "forensic relevance of selected aspects of criminal and civil law" and later "postmortem findings", where the students are present at autopsies.

And it is simply great that finally I have a room for my own where I don't have to consider of anybody else! Also avery important thing: It is quiet! Unlike my dormitory in Innsbruck where the other students were always very loud while partying in the lounge although there were people who had to study or get up early!

Not yet I'm familiar with the city Salzburg, but surely this will change by and by.

And now it's time for in bed ...

Hello folks!
Enjoying summer holidays??

This week I had to work at 35 degrees over zero ... Too hot for working in front of bunsen burners (cool word aditionally ) and furnaces.
And yeah, I have already a place where I'll live in Salzburg. It's a room in the first floor of a family's house. Two students, which are barely here, a man who just rents this accomodation as junk room and an old woman live in there. Indeed I have to share toilet and shower, but I have a refrigerator and hotplate in my room. Besides that, it's a very cheap accomodation which is located in a very quiet surrounding although there are just 15 minutes to the city center and the renters are very nice.
So I hope I'll have a great time in Salzburg, but I won't forget my good and much valued friends from Innsbruck and I hope they'll visit me some day.

Now I'll work in July and August ... and I'm looking forward to the Party.San!! Only 14 days left! I'm shure this year it will be great and funny again!

greetings ... Jasmin

From today there’s only one month till my exam, the SIP. On the one hand, I’m really nervous, because if I fail, I have to quit my medicine study in Innsbruck and go to Salzburg, where I would begin with “genetics”, which is a branch of study biology. And on the other hand, I’ve the feeling that I’ll pass the test, because medicine is one of my greatest passions and now I really had time enough for studying without stress. I just can recommend this festival, it has a great atmosphere, fair prices for tickets and catering and the optimal size, because it's not too big (For example in Wacken I wouldn't be able to find my tent, even I would be sober. ).

Yesterday at noon I met my colleagues in front of the "surgery tower" and afterwards we went searching for Dr. Schöller. Unfortunately he was ill, why one of his colleagues held the first part of the lecture. It was really interesting. A friend of mine found it also very good, but she was particularly shocked from the bad pictures of the burn victims. But I was fascinated, which possibilities - also in the worst cases and naturally not always - exist in order to help patients to a better life.

I also arranged a personal "learning list" for an overview of all topics. And in addition to this it's simply a good felling if you can check off a learned topic.

Now I'm back again in Innsbruck ...
Tomorrow I have contact with a doctor, because I organize a lecture with him for my colleagues and me. Topic: Pathology and operational therapy of fire injuries. I'm looking forward to this lecture which will take place on Wednesday this week and I'm shure that it will be very interesting and motivating!
And I also have to go shopping, just a few things like salad, cappucino and so on. Oh yeah, and of course the wonderful almond chocolate!
I'll also go to the fitness studio, probably tomorrow, on Wednesday and on Friday, before I'll drive home again. This is very important for me because training makes me feel better and healthier and I can get rid of all the stress ...
The next four month will be full of stress and work. On Friday 29th of June I have a very important exam called "SIP" ... For interested people here an explanation in german --> [link]

Tomorrow I will drive home again. The last three days with Sonja were really amazing and wonderful!! On Monday I arrived in Innsbruck, then Sonja picked me up from my student home and we drove to the shopping center. Tuesday we had a nice television evening with very long and interesting discussions. Then we spent the following day with visiting the "Wasserwelt Wörgl" and a little bit shopping ... yeah, I've made a few good deals! In the evening we went to the "Abyss", a metal bar I really like, also because of the fact that in my very small home town there is NOTHING similar. THANX for all, Sonja!!

University starts again at March 5th, then I have a few very interesting subjects like "analytic-chemical methods in forensic science", "forensic medicine" and "clinical genetics and genetic consultation".
I'm looking forward to an knowledge-filled term with fascinating topics, hard work and a lot of stress.

And now I'll go to bed, I'm really tired ...
