Taking suggestions for costumes now. :3 I'm thinking Chouji for one but since it's four days more'n one costume would be best since it'd get stinkeh.

So far my friends are going as America from Hetalia and Wolfwood from Trigun. :3 I'm working on the costumes so I'm not paying except for food and trinkets(Woot). The America friend is going to walk around with a boombox playing "America, Fuck yeah" from Team America. I also plan on making him a felt hamburger to snack on. :3

What's a good way to get out of an art/writing block when you're in a deep depression?

I haven't felt creative in a while and that's always been my escapism from being sad. Any ideas I've come up with lately are at best generic and my art... well I can't even seem to bring pen to tablet (the fact I'm too poor to afford my usual tote-along sketchbook doesn't help though). I've tried waiting it out as well as forcing myself and neither of these work...so does anyone have any suggestions on how to stimulate my creativity or even suggestions on how to deal with things when you're depressed? I've really been having a hard time coping.

X3 I went to my friend's today and went over it with her and she said it'll be very doable and she's helping me make the costume. So far I bought a few materials and got the little brown fluffy thing sized and sewn but it still needs a sleeve and it needs some dye.

I had a wonderful idea of instead of looking through the eyes of the helmet like everyone else does that the see through-part be the mouth since it's so wide on Barry the Chopper. That way I get to put red lights in the eyeholes so he looks even more like Barry! X3

Secondly I'm working on a rather stupid stupid video entry for the Pet Society birthday contest. I hope to have it finished before I go to bed and I'll upload it here and on youtube when I'm done. X3 Anyway, peace out.

are looking into renting a room at the Radison so we can do both nights of SacAnime. I've never been to a con and I'm dreadfully excited. So many things to do and see there, not to mention there will be signings by the Resident Evil voice actors: Claire, Leon and Chris!! <3<3

I'll be entering the art contest for the amature and the voice actor special as well. Bit lost on what to do right now but I think I'll figure it out.

David has decided he'll be going as Train from Black Cat. I think he can pull it off as long as our friend Balmung does the costume. She's very good at cosplay and is a con regular. Hopefully we can get her to go with us as well, dunno what she'll amaze us with if she does go. :3 David joked around about carrying milk around with him... and I told him he should totally offer the milk to every Ed cosplayer he sees. XD He responded that he'll so do it and call Ed short while he's at it.

So... this leaves the question of: Who should I cosplay as!? I've never done it before but I know I want to do someone I can pull off. I'm fat... so that means an obese character like Choji or maybe even a silly costume like Donbo or ...I think I could also pull of Jesus Zoidberg though it'd take some effort. Anyway. Hit me up with some suggestions on cosplay, I'd really like to hear what you think so I can start on my costume right away. I'm a huge dork so reccomend anything, even if I haven't seen it I bet I can read up or watch it before the con.

I've been waiting YEARS to fucking see my favorite character of FMA animated in that series!!! I can't believe the day is finally arriving, not to mention in a revitalized version of the anime where everything is correct to the story and plot and... Ling and Ran Fan and Mei Chan and... EEEEEK!! Ling's voice actor is Mamoru Miyano who is Riku from Kingdom Hearts besides that he's had a lot of lead male roles so I'm guessing he'll be good shit.

I have way too many books to read and no motivation to read them. I got the newest Kitty book. The Rachel Morgan series. The two Psychometry books (Dead To Me, Deader Still). I just got the Inkheart Trilogy yesterday too... thing is I dunno if I wanna read any of them with Dresden coming out tuesday. I made a chatroom with tinychat.com so everyone can speak dirrectly with one another about the story. :3 That way we can get questions answered quicker and others can begin figuring out what characters know who so we have some character interaction from the begining

After the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher it has been painstakingly hard for me to find a genuinely good book series. Sure there have been decent series like the Kitty the Werewolf series by Carrie Vaughn or the Supernatural novels by

But then when I was in San Fransisco earlier this month I picked up a book called Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk so I could have something to read while I waited in line for the Jonathan Coulton concert(which was fan-tab-u-lous btw). I dunno, maybe it was the pretty girl on the cover with the tattoo or the small statement describing the book on the back that got me... no. Okay, honestly it was because when I looked at the first page the main character wasn't either banging someone or whining to their girlfriend unlike the other few books I'd been sorting through (though I still may pick up the book that's insanely proud of the fact that they know what the word psychometric means, haha).

Anyway, I finished the book last night...and I have to say that Monk's writing surpassed my usually very low outlook on books that has been daunting me since 2005. Which is not an easy task in the least. The main character Allie is well developed and easy to get behind with her amusing quips and witty dialogue. The vast array of characters is wonderful and geniuine and easily loved or hated depending on how they were written to be, even down to the kitten named Kitten. The world Monk builds of magic being every day and the dire consequences it takes is well built and any answers I had for how it works was immediatly answered while reading. Bloody hell, the characters actually have speach mannerisms that are unique all to themselves!...do you know how hard that is to find?!

Anyway, get Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk. Her next book Magic in the Blood will be out May 5th. If you haven't read Dresden Files yet, get Jim Butcher's first book Dresden Files: Storm Front. He's got like 11 books out in that series.

Also... if you have any suggestions to curb my literary appetite untill my new releases please tell me the title, author, and a bit about the book.

I knew it was coming... my ex-boyfriend's old Toshiba had the same sickness that led to it's inevitable death... but it's still hard to deal with because I don't know what to do.

I can't afford a new computer. I can't draw without one, I can't watch things on youtube, I can't visit DA or NDA, worst of all I can't write. ...which puts a more than huge damper on my plans for the year since I wanted to have Touch's first novel well in to its final drafts ready to ship out to publishers by the end of the year...

So here I sit at the "downstairs" computer. The "not my" computer. The "no saving", "no downloading" computer... Those are the terms of me being allowed to borrow it for any alotted amount of time... and here I sit not knowing what to do without my beloved Albireo.

In any case, when I heard Inu-Yasha was going to become an anime, I knew my ass was cooked. I just felt the oncoming fangirls and shipping. So I hauled ass out of liking it as soon as I could. ...luckily for me the series only went down hill plotwise at that point anyway.

This happened with a couple series, being one of the first to jump on a bandwagon then being one of the first to leave it at any sign of the wagon reaching xenophobic horizons.

But lately... not only have I been sticking to my series that I like, but I've been picking up popular series as weel. Even reading through the whole thing if I don't enjoy it. One to better understand the mistakes I believe are made... two because I love bitching out fangirls with actual backing under my belt.

In any case... this leads me to two questions. What are your own experiences with bandwagons (joining or abandoning)? And what are some big wagons that I should check out myself to make fun of more fangirls? >3

Well...really only two monsters I suck at... but they keep reappearing. That being the needler, I cannot get behind them. And the smaug, because they burn my face off. T^T

There seems to be a lot less save points that there were in previous Silent Hills, as well as less healing... which I am really not appreciating in addition to my sucking. I had to repeat a long hallway sequence four times before I got it... >_>

In any case the game is fairly good so far. I like the gameplay and the environment very much. I like the changes to the combat system but not necesarily the camera changes.

One problem I don't like is that there's really not much dirrection like there was in previous game with notes telling me to go "To School" or other such things. Leaving me to run around aimlessly untill I find four holes in the wall were I will be told to find someone who is no longer where he was then I must start the hole finding once more...

The plot seems to be taking a while to get in to as well... or maybe it's just because I am playing so slow... seems like people of the town are...killing their children? And others are just all together going missing. Not sure why yet...

I'm on the first boss fight right now gettin' my bum smoked again... I'm not sure whether or not to attack the middle hanging fellow or the little twitching sacks... in any case... that's enough for my death break review... hopefully will have a full review eventually.

So my boyfriend and I pick up our copies at the store today and head on to our homes to play together. They cut out the four player co-op but it's still two player. We start up the game... we start playing... and realize.

Co-op doesn't have any mother fucking cut scenes!! You've got to be kidding me?! How are you supposed to play the fucking game without cutscenes?! I want FMVs, I want voices I want the fucking plot!!!!! ...and I wanna see this all while playing with someone else!

Is it so much to ask for this?! Halo has it. Hell, Resident Evil: Outbreak, on of the worst-ever RE games ever had it! So why did Silicon Knights pull this bullshit?!

They better fix this in the few weeks with a patch or I may just kill someone.

In any case. I've let him in to my little world of the Touch series, he's been helping me with the prequel and even did the basic designs for the character Reese Staccato, Audrey's mentor.

He txted me today going 'For the kludde's bird form we should use a car chase.'. I responded with 'I hate cars' Simple. I hate drawing them. I hate being in them. I hate driving. I hate car scenes in movies. I hate reading about cars and I hate playing cars in video games.

He retorted with 'You gotta draw them for other scenes'. Yes, yes I do. Few simple shots. Mostly interior. I can work with that. But the skill needed to do a car chase scene is way beyond my current level. We make some small talk about getting on Live to play Army of Two. He made me rent it because he doesn't want to play alone. I wanted to play it before, but after the bad reviews I didn't care to.

The conversation starts going further, so I start thinking about how unready I am for Touch to be a manga. Who isn't afraid of finally releasing your work in to the world afterall?

He starts getting on me about it... I start crying. He starts getting pissed. He's been the one saying. 'You need to. You need to. You need to'... but has no idea how much effort it's going to take! Then when I try to explain it to him he gets all huffy and says 'I just hate when people explain things I already know'

Is that so? Is that fuckin' so?! ...So I hung up and...I stay pissed... I'm still waiting on him to get on Live to play though. I wait 10 minutes... 15.... 20. I call him. He says he just assumed I didn't want to. What? I never said that! Yeah, I may be mad but I said I'd do it! I never break promises.

So we're pissed still and I try talking about the story again... how I'm scared about getting ready after almost 3 years to finally start the final drafting. Then you know what he said? 'Well, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you should see a psychiatrist' ... What?

No. Seriously. What?! Now, understand. He can never calm me down or make me not worry. He just says 'I dunno what to tell you' every time and gets pissed at ME because HE can't make me feel better.
