On the 6th of March 2005, I joined the deviantART community because of my old friend ~bstud and a suggestion he made. When I first started here, I had never picked up a camera before, with the exception of a quick snapshot here and there. I think that most will agree that I have come a long way from my first photos on ~MpC8905.

With that said--I'm back (with a D80). Expect a lot of photos to come, partially because I love my new camera and also due to the fact that I am taking Advanced Photography at my high school.

Thanks for all of your support. It's good to be back, finally.

Wow, it's been an extremely long time since I've logged on--sorry! School has been insanely busy, I've never been more overwhelmed in my life. Crew is 3 hours a day and I work on the weekends, so I'm sure you can tell that I have very little time to commit to dA. I'm in a photography class at my highschool, so hopefully I'll get to scan in some of the photos I've taken for the class. Moving on. I have 662 messages and there is no way I'm going to get through even 50 right now. So please do not think that I'm ignoring you. I'll get through them all somehow.

quick update: I just finished a week at a college prep camp--not like a sleep away camp. Man, college is one serious thing. I'm going to be a junior and I can't stop thinking of where I'm going, what my PSAT, SAT and ACT scores will be, etc. On top of that, my work hours have increased.

moral of the story: I'll get to everything and catch up with ya'll soon.

Well, school is over for me! I don't go back until the second week in September! I'm extremely happy about that. To summarize the past couple of weeks: I got my driver's license!, I'm buying a car soon, I took all my finals, dA gave me a weeks subscription, and rowing ended for the summer.

I have a lot more free time now, and I'm currently looking at all the messages I have.

Hey all, thanks for reading. It's almost the middle of April, I guess I should do an April journal, huh?

* D.C. Trip *
FINALLY! A new place to take photo's of! On thursday I'm driving down to Washington D.C. and staying there for four days. I'm very excited. Of course, I'll be taking my camera and about three memory cards because I'm planning on taking enough photographs to last another five years of posting. So expect to see a ton of new photos from me, starting on sunday when I get back. Any photo requests??

* Future Photo-shoots *
Since I have three more days on Spring Break before I leave for D.C., I'm planning on doing some indoor still lifes. I was just discussing with *AshleyXBrooke87 how it might be cool to get some roses or something and experiment with those. I also want to get outside and do a lot of nature, but I will probably do a bunch of that in D.C., and I've over shot my neighborhood; it's getting very old. I don't have a ton of experience in still-life. Do you guys have any good suggestions?

* School *
School has been a handfull lately. Luckily spring break is giving me a chance to relax and organize the mess in my backpack/binders/room. I'm kinda pissed because my report card sucked, by my standards. My sister got all A's and A+'s, and I never did that. And I want to go to a good college. And I'm OCD about school, and it's just annoying when you have teachers you don't like and the colleges you apply to will not know that they sucked at teaching. But I'm forcing myself to work harder and get all A's on fourth quarter.

The transfer is almost complete! I would just like to thank all of you who have chosen to watch and stay with me. It really means a lot to me, I hope my work will make it worth your while. I plan on moving one or two more photos from the old gallery to this one but I don't want to do it all at once. Eventually I'll get rid of most of the stuff on my old account, excluding deviations. Also, I'm still working on getting a subscription, I'm going to wait a bit longer. I'll have one probably by mid april.

Life, in general, has been very busy. I'm always tired; I usually get about 7 hours of sleep each night. (I'm working on getting more though.) Rowing just started and that takes up a bunch of time for me. Hopefully, I'll still find time to go on dA and check in with you guys.

I do have something really good to report! I received my digital back last week and I've been thinking of objects/sunsets to photograph. The first thing I submitted was my new version of "Time", I hope you guys have a least looked at it. I'm very pleased with the way it came out. I've forgotten how easy digital is, no limit on photos, and the ease of editing is great. I'll still do some film but it does cost me some money, so I'm going to focus on digital much more.
