I have two big projects planned out at the moment, and have been spending fair chunks of my free time gathering reference pictures [mostly for the former, since, well, there are only a couple of places where I can find reference pictures for the latter] AND THEY ARE:

Agent Sawyer [Tom Sawyer *Bond moment lulz*] from the League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
--man, I HATED this kid in his book [I hated his book in general], but in this movie I loved his character a lot. He and Skinner were probably my favorites [skinner, because, well, who can resist a character that opens up a message with "Hello, my fruity darlings"?] Shane West also has a very unique facial structure, which I thought would be fun to tackle [incase me drawing Seamus didn't tip you off, I enjoy drawing interesting facial structures.]

the second, which will rest a great deal closer to my heart, I'm sure, and which I'm nervous to start, is a drawing of Rob Hunt as Javert. He was the Javert in the Les Miserables I saw, and he blew me away. I adore the character, and his portrayal of the character, and I -have- to draw it.

These will be my first serious portraits in realism [sadly, Seamus on the scrap of notebook paper really doesn't count as a serious attempt] and I'm extremely excited.

I also have a few commissions on my plate and that whole thing with the dance instruction coloring book this summer x____X

:3 should be fun.

I have also, in my absense, breeched the 10000 pageview count, and I'm so flipping joyous I can't even think.

At the moment I have no ability to do a kiriban, as I have two active commissions and two pending commissions, as well as a job proposition with my art.
This summer I will be doing the illistrations for a beginning ballerina coloring book, to be published upon completion. This is a pretty monumental thing for me, because, while I'm not intending on following art as a career, it's still absolutely amazing.

I do, however, find it ironic that it means I'll be a published artist before I'm a published writer. Aha.

On a whole, life is good.

On one wall I have two doors, one thinner than the other and both of them thinner than your average poster [at least, any of awesome size]

on the wall directly opposite this we have this HUGE ASS WINDOW that takes up ALL BUT TWO FEET ON EITHER SIDE [one footish per side], TWO feet of space to the ceiling, and TWO to the floor.

The other two walls are completely blank, but seeing as the other walls have junk on them, most of my furniture has to go up against those.

What does this equal? NO FUDGING WALLSPACE.
AND SO MUCH TO PUT UP D:

It's upsetting.

I'm doing everything I can to fudge for space. Next thing you know you won't even SEE my walls they'll be so much junk on them.

I love my work but this is just crazy.

Work ends at 5:20ish but I stay afterwards to clean up and help and whatnot.

GUESS WHAT?!

I've got a JOB. A GOOD JOB. A FANTASTIC JOB! $10 AN HOUR AND NO THREAT OF GETTING LAID OFF JUST 'CAUSE I'M IN A SHOW AT THE TIME.

IT'S IN THE FIELD OF WORK I PLAN ON PURSUING TOO. HOW MANY KIDS GET THAT IN HIGH SCHOOL?!

See, in college I'm going to double major in english and theatre and get a teaching degree so I can teach theatre to bring in consistant bills [that writing doesn't give]

AND GUESS WHAT THIS JOB IS WITH!?

A THEATRE COMPANY.

And the director is a good friend of mine, and she wants me there but also knows I'll be involved in productions at school, so whenever I make one, she just won't expect me there during rehearsal days. And she's cool with that. She also will understand if I have massive homework one week and can't make it for fear of failing the project.


ITS AMAZING.

I'M SO EXCITED.

I'm starting asap as a volunteer, because I can't get under payroll until midsummer when I turn 16, but that's PERFECTLY FINE WITH ME CAUSE I LOVE IT. And when I DO hit sixteen, it'll be in the summer time when there's TONS of shows and LOTS of hours to put in and LOTS of money to be made.


OH GEEZ I'M PRETTY MUCH PEEING MY PANTS IN JOY.

Yes, I'm aware that there are already oodles of families [m'kay, so mebbe three lol]

IF YOU ARE AMONG MY FRIENDGROUP WHO IS GOING TO THE CON WITH ME, WHO WILL BE SHARING A HOTEL ROOM, TELL ME NOW, AND BE SURE TO INCLUDE THOSE YOU CAN THINK OF WHO DO NOT HAVE A DA.
I don't think I can work things out if there's a guy involved [unless he's younger]
BUT I need a headcount

WE NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT.

I need to know how many of us are going so that we can figure out how to split up the hotel bill so that we can get a room [yes, we're probably only going to be able to afford ONE ROOM so bring a sleeping bags and/or get over any claustrophobia 'cause we'll be packed like sardines on the two beds

WE HAVE TO HAVE A PARENT COME [they don't have to be at the con, but they have to be at the hotel].
THIS IS NOT AN OPTION, SORRY.

On the off chance we CAN'T get the hotel room, then my dad will drive us ONE of the days, BUT he can only hold TWO OTHER PEOPLE [besides me] in his car, SO it's not really a good idea to use his car anyways. IF IT COMES DOWN TO THIS, ANYONE WHO HAS PARENTS WITH A BIG CAR CAN DRIVE US, AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE ALL THREE DAYS IF WE CAN SPLIT IT UP AMONG SEVERAL PARENTS.


But no matter what RIGHT NOW I need to know WHO IS GOING [and sadly, we can only include the female members. Any guys going have to organize chipping together for their own room]

SO LET ME KNOW. NOW.
I AM GETTING THIS ORGANIZED WITHIN THE NEXT 10 DAYS COME HELL OR HIGH WATER AND THAT'S THAT.
