For those who don't keep track of that kind of thing, I was a graduate of the Joe Kubert School in New Jersey, and I was lucky enough to study under Joe for a whole year. What really impressed me about Joe was just how fast he could work. I know that, perhaps on a technical level, he wasn't the best artist in the world, but when it came to getting things done on time and looking good he was the man. But there's one thing I learned in school... comic artists never retire. They just die. And at the time we thought it was a form of macabre, dark humor, but now, well... it's kind of an honor. I was curious, because although I agree that they're not particularly good, I also didn't feel that the previous Transformers were all that bad. So I decided to watch this one and just... my God. They really don't get what people want in a Transformers movie, do they? I'm not sure, but it seems to me that the movie actually spends more time showing humans fighting Decepticons than Autobots fighting Decepticons. That would be like if most of the fights in The Avengers were just Shield Agents fighting Loki. Hell, that'd be like making, say... a James Bond video game where  ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ So I started watching some anime, which name I can't remember and, after seeing a few episodes of it, I'm not going to bother to remember. Basically, the premise is that a group of people all have their journals sort of enchanted to tell them the future. They are then tasked with killing each other, with the last one left alive becoming a God. The restriction being, though, that the journals are still limited to the kind of information that was originally put in them in the first place. For example, one girl is obsessed with the main character, so all her journal posts before were just talking about him, so after it gets enchanted it still on ]]></media:text>

I'm actually pretty psyched about this; of the (admittedly small) number of MMORPGs I've played in my day, CoH was the only one other than Warcraft that I really enjoyed. I just kind fo stopped playing when I had to go to school and well.. didn't really have the money for it again. But it's free now! And I'm getting back into it pretty well. For the most part I've been playing as a villain named "Wight Knight" on the Union server. It's not going to be an ongoing thing or anything; I'm just going to update a single story this month. The real news, though, is that I'm going to be starting an all new story called Preteen Demon http://wausaucomics.com/webcomics/PTD/2011/06/02/page-1/ ! PTD is actually a sequel of sorts to Elijah and Azuu, starring Azuu's son Jasomet.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ So we've had an arcade fight stick for our PS3 for a while now, and when I tried to play Street Fighter with it I found it substantially harder to use than just a regular controller. Apparently that's normal. I do pretty good at Tekken with it, but that's mostly because I didn't know much about Tekken in the first place, and the most I had played it before was usually at arcades anyway. My girlfriend looked it up and apparently people who use them a lot recommend just playing any game you've got with them. I don't have a lot of games that only use one control stick, but I did have Symphony of the Night, and that seemed like the perfect game t ]]></media:text>

See, I've been working as lead colorist on a videogame for a small game company. It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up with RPG elements, currently being developed for Xbox Live.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ So, I decided to try out the new version of Internet Explorer (8.0). It's okay. Not really that different from the last version. A LOT more useless apps that I had to turn off. The big thing is, though, sometimes it just freezes up. Like, I just open up a new tab, and the mouse icon turns to the "loading" icon and I can't click anything. So... yeah. Other than that, it seems to work fine. I dunno, I just need a program that connects to the internet and let's me keep a favorites list, so it does that well enough. ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Okay, so, The Incredible Hulk. Well, the Highly Entertaining Hulk, at least. In some ways this one gets a free ride since the previous Hulk film was just so... wrong. Tried to do things with Hulk that Hulk not do. Ahem. Anyway, Norton did a great job as Banner. I think the best part about the character was that he seemed very real and human, as opposed to the last film where he was a bit too fanciful and overdramatic. I don't know if this is a spoiler or not, but I think the best scenes with Banner were after he had reunited with Betty, and they got through the whole "we're so deeply in love" part to the "oh shit, we gotta get out of here and ]]></media:text>

There was some kinda crazy tournament held at the various Gamestops or Gamestop affiliates (we happened to be at an Electronics Boutique), but they started the tournament early so we weren't able to participate. Anyway, we got it on Sunday at midnight, and by Sunday night we'd beaten the subspace emissary and unlocked all the characters. Without ruining anything, the plot is kind of predictable, the characters aren't all that interesting, and the monster, in and of itself, is strikingly forgettable. If the film was shot with the same plot but as the usual Hollywood special effects blockbusters, it would end up as a B movie mentioned off-hand between friends at best.<br /><br />Similar to Grindhouse, the actual story of the movie isn't as important as the atmosphere. Anyway, Elijah and Azuu http://www.drunkduck.com/Elijah_and_Azuu is back up and updating regularly again; though a good chunk of the archives is still missing. You may recall that I was going to be hosted on Nightgig http://www.nightgig.com but unfortunately, Nightgig is experiencing some bandwidth issues at the moment and they'll have to get through that before they can take on any new talent, let alone my nearly 1000 comic archive.<br /><br />But, there's good news; several other comics of min ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ So, Drunk Duck exploded. Too bad, really, they were doing the best they could. Oh well, I suppose I was bound to leave the "nest" one of these days.<br /><br />For those of you who don't know about me already, I was the artist for "Elijah and Azuu," a moderately successful comic, and one of the longest running on DrunkDuck. The series is currently offline, but it will be available on nightgig.com soon.<br /><br />Most of my deviations will probably relate to E&A in some way shape or form, since I did a lot of art for it in my free time. I'll also be uploading other comics I've made, and in general just use this site as a place to keep promotional material (like  ]]></media:text>
