Well, remember how my xbox broke? Well I got ANOTHER ONE after trading away my replacement xbox (that cost me £100 by the way). This new one works a lot better... so far. However, one thing has quickly become apparent.

My past gamertag no longer works. It's become 'corrupted' thanks to it being banned and now I can't access ANYTHING from it. All my saves, downloads, everything, all gone.

AND THERE'S NO WAY OF MOVING IT TO ANOTHER GAMETAG ACCOUNT.

FUCK BILL GATES IN HIS FUCKING FACE. I HATE THE SLIMEY BASTARD. Most saves I can just do again, but FUCKING OBLIVION, 50+ HOURS OF GAMEPLAY GONE. I WAS ALMOST THE FUCKING PRINCE OF MADNESS YOU COCKSUCKER.

Also, APPARENTLY EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR BOTH, I CAN'T PLAY DOOM OR BATTLEFIELD 1943 ANYMORE. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Nervous? HELL NO, I'm excited as shit, poetry is KICKASS and my poetry is... okay I guess. But I am going to prepare a kickass poem to read, HOWEVER, for me that aint enough. I gotta have something extra to make people remember my poem above others, therefore I have decided to get my guitar playan best bro to come up with me and play some epic bluesy riffs to go with my hard hitting poems about stuff.

It's gonna kick ass.

I'll try and get a recording of it or something somehow and post it somewhere, but it won't be for a WHIIIILE yet.

Yes, it's almost shameful to admit, but I did indeed own a chipped xbox, even though I barely had ANY copied games for it. Seriously. The one copied game I did have didn't even WORK, and furthermore, buying the damn thing wasn't even my idea. I wanted to get a real, WORKING one (since even after I got this xbox, I had to literally PUNCH IT REPEATEDLY to get it to read disks).

But yeah, I'm banhammered from online goodness. But, whatev's to be honest. I play my xbox for single player games, my true multiplayer heart lies, and will always lie, in the PC. The PC just... is better for multiplayer. It really is. In my opinion it takes more skill, has FAR superior connection/support, better communities (by MILES) and mods. MODS MAKE EVERYTHING AWESOME.

But it also helps I've been playing Freelancer and Silent Hill 3.

Silent Hill 3 is... AWESOME. Well, perhaps not AWESOME, but certainly good. The horror works really well and it still looks pretty nice for an old PS2 game. The camera works surprisingly well.
The only thing that bugs me is A: If you miss a map, you're screwed for finding your way around and B: This is really a fan's game. I don't know HALF the shit that's going on in this game and sometimes these people make really dumb decisions.
E.G. Heather (main character) gets transported into a demon world whilst in the mall. She only just gets out and is standing in front of the exit to the mall. What does she do? HERP DE DERP I'LL GO UNDERGROUND INTO THE SUBWAY SYSTEM AND NOT OUT INTO THE STREET WHERE OTHER PEOPLE ARE.

Seriously. Dumb.

Anyway, I'm going to try and finish Escape and Kiv Story pt 2 together and post em up at the same time. ALMOST DONE WITH EM FOLKS (and I know I say this alot, but seriously, I really am inches from finishing with em).

Let me tell you, THIS BOOK IS BULLSHIT. Total. Utter. Crap.

... Okay, maybe that's a little harsh. The book has some really awesome lines, and makes some good points on women in the Victorian ages, but GODDAMMIT it takes a while to get there. There's so much frivolous CRAP in it I can barely slog through with a chainsaw in hand.

Also, I got a PS2 lately, FOR FREEE, and decided to buy Silent Hill 3. Can't wait to get it playan. Also, any good games to play on it? Suggestions welcome people!

Also, got Condemned and WOW is it scary. Seriously, this is one terrifying game, although I'm disappointed that it uses xbox graphics on a 360.

SIDEOS' TOP FIVE THINGS PEOPLE HAVE LEFT BEHIND AT MY WORK
I work in a bar, servin' pints and all that. Of course, people get drunk, and when you're drunk you tend to leave things behind. Here is the top 5 things people have left behind, going from 5 to 1.

5: Shoes. This is more common then one might think, people seem to leave shoes behind all the time, ESPECIALLY the ladies.
4: A necklace. Again, kinda common. For some reason woman take them off, walk away and completely forget they had them on!
3: Jackets/coats. This isn't common, but does happen on occasion. How people can forget their coats is beyond me, especially when they have things like wallets and phones in them.
2: Birthday presents. This has only happened twice whilst I've been working there. One was a signed picture from a wrestler, which we now display on the bar, and the other was a toaster I think. Why the people who they belonged to never came back for them I don't know, but seriously, how could you forget a toaster?!
1: A baby. No I'm not making this up, a woman once actually left her kid behind. She came back for it 10 mins later, but it was still really shocking. I mean seriously, she was super drunk and she just walked out without her baby. HOW BAD OF A MOTHER CAN YOU BE?!

Anyway, that rounds that up.

There's a lot of talk going around about how the IZ fandom is apparently dying off. People point to the elitism of popular IZ artists and the masses of drama as the cancers gnawing away at our love of that one show that aired for only a season and a half almost 9 years ago.
But you know what? I think that's utter bullshit.
People don't lose interest in a fandom because the popular people don't like mixing with the peons, hell, I'll stand up and say I don't accept every friend request sent my way. However, yes, it is creating a sort of stand-offish attitude towards those just wishing to get to know more and grow more as artists in the fandom.
The drama however, well, that's a different matter altogether. Drama happens wherever you go, it doesn't matter which fandom you go to, there will be drama involved. However, I will say that I do think the IZ fandom has a slightly higher-then-normal drama rating. Why I couldn't really tell, perhaps its just us as fans who can't seem to get along.
Still, in all honesty, I don't think, despite these flaws, that our fandom is dying. Growing? No, we're not growing, but we're not dying, and if we are it's a very, very slow death compared to other shows. IZ fans are remarkably fanatic about their fandom, I know I am, I would never leave this fandom unless something truly terrible happened to it.
We cling on and keep alive the show through fanart and especially fanworks. I know I haven't wrote anything to do directly with the show for a long time, rather, just taking the universe and species and using them for myself. But this practice is so popular, that surely such an act shows how truly dedicated we are as fans, to keep using and exploring the possibilities of the world IZ almost created for us.

Bah, those are my thoughts anyway.

Oh, and just some random info now. I realised that I never did explain why Sideos was afraid of ghosts, well, here's the reason!
As a little smeety kid he would often be kept awake at night by the sounds of his parents fighting, however, being too small to really understand this, he asked his father why lots of shouting went on at night downstairs. His father told him that it was ghosts, and that little Sid should never go downstairs at night or the ghosts would eat him.
So, Sid become deathly scared of ghosts due to this poor psychological blow at an early age.

So yeah, first day of uni was... very very confusing. Lots of waiting in cues and just waiting around. The enrolment was easy, it was just waiting in the damn mile long cues that annoyed me.
Still, I am now a student again! Books and pens are in my future.

I had to wait a serious number of hours for my 'introductions' though, with my tutors and shizzle. But I brought the good book along with me, that's right, LORD OF THE RINGS: WAR OF THE RING
I was representin' the rings today.

Luckily also I didn't have to get no 2 hour bus ride home, got lifts there and back, was great.
Well, not in till Thursday now. So I'm gonna get orderin some books and whatnot.

Most of the ones I need only cos about a penny on Amazon, the most expensive (but the most important) being about £20, but apparently money well spent.

Whatever yo, if I spend it now, I don't have to spend it later... and besides, most of them are only a fucking penny

So yeah, also, my second guitar controller arrived today. So anyone with xbox live and guitar hero 2, BRIIIING IT OOOOOON!

Naa, we (that is the beautiful *InvaderMari and I) went through several designs for Syd with several different names till we came to what we have here. The name just kinda... fit.
Also, his looks were also thought over. He has other costumes other then just his assassin outfit, perhaps Mari and I will show you his normal clothings sometime.

Also, as I hinted at in the entry piece, he has a lot that isn't explained. The longer he is in Blood Sports, the more peeps will end up knowing about him.

Still, I'd like to hear some theories from the crowd as to what they think his past is. NO GIVING OUT HINTS. I'M LOOKING AT YOU AND .

I'm thinking of entering the second Blood Sports but not with Sideos. Nooo, by now he is all old and worn out and would get his ass kicked... more then usual. BESIDES, I don't want people to vote for Sid because 'ZOMG IS SIDEOS HE'S THE BESTEST BEST EVAAAR'.

I have the perfik dude in mind who I'd use though... and it'd be a great way to reveal something awesome to you all through the new character. And before you ask, he's a very well thought out character with his own motivations, backstory and all that jazz.

Also, I'm getting much closer to deciding on this contest thing, although I may hold it back a little till after September, reason being that I'm entering uni in September and I don't want to pile too much on at once, ya dig?

In other news, I WATCHED INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. One thing struck me yo, not enough of the Bastards. I mean, sure, they're in the movie, but I felt like it was trying to make Brad Pitt the whole focus of the Bastards, and I really wanted to know more about the rest of his crew.
But also, the bad guy is the most Oscar worthy bad guy this year, possibly in the last 10 years of cinima. He's right up there on par with some of the most evil people ever put on movie, no joke, no exaggeration, he's one BAD mother.

Watch the movie yo, there's so much more to it then one might think, which is both surprising and highly enjoyable.

Yes, for the first time in history, I, El' Sid, is seriously considering a contest. That is, the contest to create a design for Sirra's father.

As I mentioned in Berri's bio page, Sirra doesn't know her father, however, that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to design one. I love designing characters, it's up there with my most fun things to do.

HOWEVER, I have come to the idea that it is perhaps time for me to let someone else do the designing. To hold a great contest of skill, imagination and talent to create the most interesting, most fitting and most fun character to be the father of Sirra.

I would like some feedback on that just to see who would join or not.

Indeed, the amazing and I are doing a HUGE retcon on our IZ-verse. People being removed, reborn, new characters being introduced and all that kinda stuff. Some things are still 100% canon of course, but a lot of things are being updated and changed.

A big change is that Sirra now has a mother, and amazingly, she actually plays a BIG part in her life.
So, without further ADUUUUU, let me say, NEW CHALLENGER JOINS THE BRAWL!

Name: Berri
Sex: Female
Occupation: Ex-High Class Escort/Prostitute and Ex-High Class Brothel Owner
Bio: Berri was forced into a life of prostitution after running away from a troubled home. She quickly made friends with a fellow prostitute named Sweet, and together they managed to elevate themselves away from street corners and to 'Escort' service for the Ministers of the Irken Government.
However, whilst Sweet was often picked by the highest within the Ministry, Berri always seemed to play second fiddle to her popularity, dispute modelling her dress style upon her best friend. Berri quickly became jealous and envious of her friend, and combined with an already quick and often violent temper, it wasn't long before Berri turned on her friend. When Sweet 'stole away' one of Berri's regular customers, Berri attempted to attack her best friend destroying their friendship forever. At the same time Berri also got pregnant with Sirra, and as such, lost her position as a High Class Escort.
She did however take up the position of owner of the Brothel and Escort service, deciding to help make sure that girls like herself were not abused and treated with respect. Sirra however did not appreciate her mother's kindness and greatly resented being raised around 'whores and sluts' whom her mother seemed to care for more then her own daughter.
Sirra left her mother as soon as she was old enough to do so, and has only seen her a handful of times after. Berri forgives her daughter for her murderous ways, seeing as she is her only child. She also knows of Sirra and Kai's location and their children, although, she had only ever met her grandchildren five times.
Personality: Kind and loving for the most part, she is also a master manipulator (a trait passed to her daughter) and her beauty still shines in her old age. However, she is also very quick to anger and lets her temper consume her to the point of violence towards others.

Sirra's father is unknown, a client of Berri's whom she refuses to name. Why, not even Sirra knows, although she suspects that the client had paid Berri off to say nothing and assured her the job as the brothel owner for her secrecy.

Anyways, yes, that's Berri, Sirra's mother. If people are wise and well read, then they will know that Berri's former best friend, Sweet, is actually Zikki's mother. Thus, the hatred between Zik and Sir goes deeper then one may think.

And I will at some point perhaps reveal Sirra's father, but make no mistakes, she is NOT related to Sid, Neep or anyone else.

Anyways, more news on Mari and I's retcons soonish.

I GOT A SUBBY

Well, the amazing, beautiful and fantastic got me it, probably to pay me back for BREAKING MY MICROPHONE. WHY DID YOU SIT ON THEM?! WHYYYYYY?!
But I forgive her anyway because she's lovely and cute.

But yes, I got a new headset today which is smaller and better and I also now have iTunes... AND I HAVE FF7 ON AN OLDSKOOL PLAYSTATION FUCK YEAR.

Been playin it and yes, it's really as good as people say. Very deep, very immersing and VERY playable. Although I feel the combat system is a tad annoying at times when enemies go to attack and they take HALF AN HOUR to attack. Ugh.

So yes, in all, I shall be adding to my journal with sub headers and stuff soon. Also, still writing Kiv stuff and maybe going back to an old story. Maybe.

Anyways, as one might have noticed I've been scant on faving and commenting, and the deviations have been building up in my inbox. As such, you will all have to excuse me for a mass fave and run session to clear my inbox. However, I will comment on stories and writing.

As for now, I shall sigh and be sad and watch Lord of the Rings until I feel better. Because besides from Mari's voice, nothing makes me happier then the tale of the Ring.

But yes, back home and stuff. Tis nice to be home, especially in England. England is special in special little ways which even Mari admits she can pick up on.

Anyways, again, don't expect much from my bad self for a while for the obvious reasons. The moment August is here I'll be back onto work, probably more then ever since being SUPER CHARGED by Mari and all. I have a lot of things to finish and quite the will to write them, so yeah, bla bla bla bla and all that.

We're going to go watch the new Harry Potter film soonish, hopefully I'll post up our opinions on it and you can laugh like elves high on helium.

Erm... I dunno. Other stuff. Getting my 360 fixed FINALLY, and for much cheaper then I thought. However, shit might not be for certain, the fixing that is, it might break soon after I get it back in which case I have to either get a new one or sell all my shit. I think getting a new one would be the best option, but still, shit sucks to the large extent.

Anyways, yes, this time around I can give a much better journal about how it feels to be with my beloved and america and all that nonsense I'm sure you'll roll your eyes at.

For one, Mari is AWESOMECAKES WITH EPICSAUCE. I love being with her and spending every day with her and seeing her many fashions and awesome swimsuits and all that. Tis lovely to be with the one you love, plus, her family is awesomely nice and all that.
We still have plenty of adventures to go on, so I shall tell you all about it sometime.

As for now, I shall let you all know, MARI AND I HAVE INVENTED A NEW WAY OF EATING DINNER.
Yes, it happened on a dark night when the moon was full in the sky. We had been chilling for some time and our bellies were empty, thus, we made the treacherous journey over the many toys, past the cats and to the dominion known as 'the kitchen' to stock up on supplies. There, we found some potatoes and gravy, and combined them to make mashed potatoes... and gravy.
Then, terror hit, we did not have enough plates to evenly share the meal. It was then we decided that we would have to gather one huge plate and simply eat it from that one plate.
THUS, THE NEW WAY OF DINNER WAS BORN. Simply eating the meal from separate plates, combining what you want on your fork! Saves washing AND is very fun!

Anyway, that's about it for now, I shall tell more when we do more epic things... which is everyday

Yes I am SO excited, I'm practically bouncing off walls and other associated synonyms.

But yes, I should update you all on fics I've been writing and unfortunately I do not have much to show. Understandably I've been kinda busy preparing for my annual cross-Atlantic flight to the arms of my love, so as such, I've been trying to finish off only one fic at a time whilst only working on other fics in little bouts.

Still, I shall reveal to you now more work from the Kiv story. ENJOY!
He paused for a moment, looking to the boy before saying, “You will no longer go by the name ‘Mase’, do you understand?” He watched as Mase slowly nodded his head, “That name is nothing but a memory to you now, a relic of a time when you were unimportant.” He smiled slowly, “As my apprentice, you will be known as… Kiv.”
“Kiv, sir?” Mase, or now, Kiv, asked slowly.
“Yes, Kiv,” The old man nodded slowly before lightly muttering, “It suits you, quarrel… yes, Kiv it is.” He went back suddenly to standing up straight and now asked, “Kiv, do you know what Necromancy is?”

I love this part, tis awesome. But then again, there are lots of parts in this story I like, it's very fun to write for such an innocent little kid only to have him become all EEEVVVIIILLL later on.

Also, SID AND ZIK STORY OMGWTFBBQ!
Even as they sat down Zikki wondered what would happen this night. Something exciting and crazy no doubt, as Sideos seemed to have some kind of aura for these things. She remembered when those random cyborgs tried attacking them when he refused to pay extra for ice in his drink. Or when that rich millionaire rapper tried to hit on her and he’d ‘ protected her ’ by beating him with a seat cushion.
As she sipped at her martini drink, she couldn’t help but wonder, why? Why did he so often jump to her rescue? It wasn’t like he cared for anyone apart from himself, and he certainly didn’t have feelings for her, she’d been around him naked enough times to be assured of that.

NAKED? AROUND SID? WHAT ARE YOU WRITING SID YOU CRAZY MAN!? Well, you'll have to wait and see! Be warned though, most of that story is exposition and whatnot. It's all about Sid and Zik... and that's about it really. Lots of people seem to wonder what the deal is with these two since they're often appearing in pictures together and I often mention they're friends with one another. This fic is just to clear it all up for ya'll.

Also, in other news.
The Red Faction Guerilla MP demo is out. I found it to be a lot of fun actually, mostly because wrecking shit is awesome and it makes a nice change from the constant L4D and CoD4 I've been playing. The only real problem I have is SLEDGEHAMMERS EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Seriously, one shot kill with that damn thing, it's just daft. The guns do sweet fuck all as well, useless pieces of crap, although the sticky bomb things rock teh house large.
Might buy it... but then again, if I do, I'd have to skip over the pure MOISTNESS that is FUCKING GHOSTBUSTERS. Goddamn that game is making me squeal like a little girl on free pony day. [link] JUST LOOK AT IT FOR GANDHI'S SAKE! IT'S SO EPIC!

Still, just for you peeps to know, it's a retelling of the fall of the Trillen homeworld told in my special little way in which I seem to tell backstories. I should just become a pure backstory writer, I seem to do really well at it.

Also, as he gets older, he stops bothering. Mostly because of certain, ahem, aliment which he gets and wounds and him not going out purposely to kill large crowds of people no more. He becomes far more underground and secret as, well, he gets damn sick of a life constantly on the run, also, again his aliment stops him from being his crazy ol' self and forces him to slow down.

Anyway, I'm still working on my Sirra retcon. She's getting parents and stuff too considering she used to be a clone as well, also I'm going to update her slightly but don't worry, I learned my lesson, her cannibal side aint going no wheres.

So yes, I am retconning Sideos to introduce some new characters, remove some old traits and basically give his character the update it needs to fit in with his current form, which will also be revealed to you soon in a small fic which will eventually accompany this to make it all official.

Ok, well, the first major change is thus, SID IS NO LONGER A CLONE. Yes, that's right, he actually now has a momma and dadda... somewhere. This came about after a big discussion with the ever pleasant and hip . Whilst talking about the Empire we came upon the idea that lasers, whilst mass produced, are very unreliable and weak due to their mass-produced-ness. Thus, they are given to the huge legions of clone troops pushed out everyday by the irken clone-producing planets.
Taking this into account, I realised that Sideos couldn't be a clone because he'd otherwise be a brainless, personality-less clone soldier, thus, I decided to make him natural born. BUT WHY WAS HE IN THE MILITARY SID? Well, the answer is that clone troops make up the vast normal troopers in the universe. The average soldier in the Irken military is just a clone, bred to fight and take orders. The guys who lead them, Sargent's, lieutenants and the like are natural born irkens with personalities and intelligence and imaginative minds, the kind of people you need in those types of positions.
To put it in geeky terms, it's basically an army of Neanderthals lead by Sapiens. Conscription for young irkens still exists, however, rather then be pushed out to the front-line, conscripts are trained in defensive positions or peacekeeping work and, should they chose to stay in the military, go on to study in specific areas of battle like strike teams or paramilitary work.

SO, Sid now has a mother and father and was born naturally. However, don't think they're now big figures in his life. His mother (name unknown) walked out on the small family when he was a smeet, so he never got to know her despite having a very close personality to her. His dad, named Dyeus, basically was a depressed work drone who hated his job (Tall File Clerk), life and everyone around him with a quiet passion. Throughout Sid's life, his dad was just the guy at home after school, not a role model or any kind of positive figure, which further pushed him to rely on and look out solely for himself.
The last time Sid saw Dyeus was when he waved a small 'bye' to him as he left for the Devastis Military Academy. Exactly what his dad is doing now is anyone's guess, probably either a drunk or dead, Sid doesn't really care.

Another major change is thus, Sideos is no longer a virgin. That's right, the famous die-hard asexual has HAD SEX with others. However, he's only ever had sex twice in his life, and both were within a week's span in the Devastis Academy. There's a bigger story to this that I hope to one day tell, but for now I'll give you a summery. Sid was often asked by his Devastis friends why he never went out with anyone despite being the academy bad boy and lusted after by guy and girl alike. Sid however had never found anyone attractive or 'good enough' to be with him, such is his self-centred vanity, but, the eventual nagging from his friends eventually got to him and he decided to give the whole thing a try.
First, he simply had sex with a girl friend of his who was one of those really nasty bitch girls you find at schools. However, he found it to be very unsatisfying and rather boring. He then decided to have sex with a gay guy friend of his (yes he was friends with two gay bully guys whom were in his little gang of bullies) and found that to be just as boring and unfulfilling.
Thus, he vowed off sex with people until he could find someone who would fit his exacting standards and actually satisfy him. This person would have to basically be his double in likes, dislikes and yet, completely submissive to him and always push up his ego whilst also keeping their individuality and hate everyone he hated. Well, for one, the Red Faction Guerilla demo. THIS DEMO IS VERY FUN. Running around, pwning buildings with your hammer is epic, also, EXPLOSIONS and whatnot. It has lovely, not amazing, but lovely graphics and a lot of playable vehicles. Bad thing is, one can tell it has some glitches. Slowdown when blowing stuff up is sucky, and the buildings often don't obay the laws of gravity, staying afloat with only one support pillar intact.
Its looking like it's going to be one of those 'go here, do this job, earn points, repeat' kinda games, yet, it looks also like its going to make it rather fun.
Have to wait and see on that one.

BIONIC COMMANDO. What to say about this little gem... well, as you might have noticed, I've taken a shine to it. It's back to basics gaming with a nice twist thrown in what with the grappling hook and all. The demo couldn't be more basic if they'd put it in wireframe, but yet, it's so addicting and compelling. There's no bullshit here, just a bunch of blocky commando dudes in different coloured suits shooting the shit out of one another and punching one another in the head. Brilliant.

Also, advice for anyone who does play the Bionic Commando demo, DON'T GET THE SNIPER RIFLE, IT IS SHIT.

Anyways, for all you Naruto fans out there, prepare your red fonts and anger and arguments why this could never happen!

The two ninjas found, that even with all their strength and power, with all their years of training under the harshest of conditions, that these simple ankle and wrist straps could easily contain them. Naturo looked over to Sasuke, a slight panic echoing in his bright blue eyes. What was happening here? Why had they been put in these strange, if stylish, orange jumpsuits?
Sasuke fought to keep his usual stoic expression. One moment he was fighting Naruto and then that moron had used that, whatever it was, that scroll of 'ultimate incarceration'. Everything had gone bright white and then something... metal had reached out at them from the blinding white, two long claws and from within the white he swore he saw a simple green face, smiling in malicious, pixelated glee.
"Where is this place?" Naruto shouted to the void, "What's happened to us?"
"Why, my dear silly boy," A void drifted from all around them with no discernible point of origin. As these words drifted past them, everything suddenly darkened in an earthly, dirty brown cloud, utterly surrounding them and almost choking the two ninja.
Before them, the clouds started to form into a strange shape, a long top hat and wide orange eyes with a smiling mouth with single toothless gap in the middle, The mouth opened and again, more blinding white light, but one clear silhouette stood before them, walking slowly towards them on a bridge of pure light.
A strange, tall, thin man clad in an odd purple suit and a top hat with his wide, orange glasses clearly seen on his pale, slim face and only a shock of jet black hair showing from under his hat. A single pink bow-tie rested at his neck and his shirt flapped open to reveal his white shirt, and he threw up his purple cane to catch it again, showing the golden orb at the top of it.
He smiled at the two boys, a grin that told them of true, undiluted madness and yet, a terrible, almost unreal understanding of everything that was going on.
"I am the Warden," He replied, his voice matching the same voice that had spoken before, that odd lisp dancing through his words, "And welcome."
The clouds slowly started to dissipate, along with the very form of the Warden. Around them towering buildings of maddening height formed, bridges of madding design and length connected everything and strange creatures one could only imagine in dream moved around them, along with thousands of similar orange jumpsuit clad people.
Naruto had never been so terrified, and Sasuke had paled beyond his normal colour, shocked and scared into a deep silence, but the Warden only grinned widely even as his legs vanished with all his form and being along with the cloud until only his single, terrible, gap-toothed grin remained uttering a single sentence, "Welcome to Superjail."

NICE HUH? I've always loved the Warden and the idea that the Warden is some kind of all powerful super being.

Anyways, today I would like to try something a tad different for my journals.
I AM GOING TO POST UP A SINGLE PARAGRAPH OF EACH STORY I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON. You should all feel amazed, and then think of how awesome it is I'm posting up paragraphs for your reading pleasures. Oh yeah, you like it like that.

So, first off, the one you all wanna know about, ESCAPE!

Neep picked it up and couldn’t help but smile at it. Ahh, the simple connection between a smeet and their favourite toy… he felt bad for whatever little one out there, right now, knowing that they had to leave their teddy behind.
That was until he heard a slight noise and looked up over the teddy to see, surprisingly a small pink vortian hornling looking up at him with the largest, cutest eyes he’d ever seen. He blinked at her, which apparently was a bad thing, for the next thing he knew the little vortian had sunk her teeth into his leg.


YOU LIKED THAT HUH? YOU BITCHES LOVE THAT SHIT. Ahem, yes, my favourite paragraphs in that story so far is THAR. Enjoy and let your mouths salivate in anticipation!

Next up, an original story, GREED OF A KNIGHT:

Howard and Qutb immediately went about removing the stones from the entrance, even though Howard had to remove the heavy backpack from his shoulders first. The squire however couldn’t help but think of how the rocks had been placed as if they were meant to keep people out, maybe placed like that just to guard the treasure that lay within. Immediately he thought of taking some himself, maybe just a handful of coins to send back home, but he shook it away.
The treasure belonged to Sir Robert and the Holy Pilgrimage! To even pocket one coin would be stealing, and that would be breaking God’s law! No, he must be humble and in control of himself. He frowned as he thought on how he could see this as a test, he must resist greed and be giving, that is what makes a good Christian after all.

These two give a good explanation of what's going on and hint a little at what the story is about. If you didn't get it, think Lovecraft + Middle ages. This is the closest fic I have to completion right now.

This next one is a stand-alone oneshot I wanted to write, simply because I love the idea of it so much. It's about 3/4 completed and it's called... well it doesn't have a name, but the file name is HUMANSFUCKYEAH, so any suggestions would be nice! Anyways, read on:

Do the humans really fight because they like it? Or do they fight for what we all should be fighting for, safety, freedom and independence? It’s true that humanity as a race believes in these ideals to the point of fanaticism, especially after the brutal repression of their people. Perhaps it’s this ‘vengeance’ idea they fight for, to take their anger of their enslavement out on the enemy. Such barbarism, their hate and greed for their brutal justice will one day destroy them, yet for now, it made them the greatest weapon we have against the Irken Empire.

It's about a diary entry of a vortian officer who writes about a battle he has with humans fighting with him. As you can tell, and as I've said before, humans in my IZ-verse are FUCKWIN fighters, but no one really trusts them just as they look down and mistrust all others. It's a cool story, very action-orientated. Hope you like it when I finish it.

Last story is a story I is working on for the always lovely What's it about? Well, judging by my tract record of fics for her you can guess it's a back story-story, but which character? Read on and see if you can figure it out...

Now, on a usual night, Mase would have simply walked to the door, took one last look around and shut it, locking it and leaving for the servants quarters for some left over food then to his hut, but not tonight, no. Perhaps, watching from vast swathes of space with powers incomprehensible, forces of which no mortal mind could ever understand moved, shifting just slightly in the way of the universe to alter this young boy’s destiny for whatever means they needed him for.
Or perhaps it was just that he’d left the shovel on a bit of an angle, causing gravity to do what it does best.

Rome: Total War. IT IS AWESOME. Damn this game fills me with a love of all things Roman, it's just so awesome. I don't even mind taking over England in this cos I've got FUKKIN ROMANS. Sure, some fighting gets tiring after a while, but the game is so awesome with it's massed variation of troops and such that you never get bored.
When you're sick of fighting Spartans (and believe me, you get VERY sick of fighting Spartans) you can go and threaten Egypt or Carthaginian lands with ships and troops and whatnot.

ALSO ALSO, been playing some mind-numbing Call of Duty 4 and some Left 4 Dead, awesome onlinage yo.

IRKEN RELIGION. And also what happened to mankind after the big Irken hoo-haa that went down, dawg. Diggit.

First of all, like all dictatorships, the religion in the Empire is of course directed towards venerating the rulers, which are the Tallest. There's a reason they say 'Almighty' Tallest. It's not just a term of rank to indicate the absolute highest people in the Empire, as in my fics ranks often include the 'tallest' rank (E.g. Tallest Police Commissioner or Tallest Shopping Department Director) however the term Almighty is used only for the rank of Tallest of the Empire.
It's not just too show that they are indeed the Tallest irkens alive, no, they are also ALMIGHTY, a holy rank. You could say that the Tallest are like the Popes of old, military, not just holy, leaders. The main and largest religion in the empire is called 'Ikanism' (I-kan-ism). It's a religion based around the worship of a single life force, a 'Great Positive' as it where, that acts as the invisible force that sustains all positives like life, growth and tallness. It is offset by the 'Great Negative', a thing which sustains all negatives, shortness, decline and death.
As the Tallest are, well, the Tallest, they are seen as the chosen of the Great Positive and thus, are too be revered as holy and chosen as leaders. After all, they're the TALLEST, chosen by the Great Positive itself! Why would the Great Positive ever do anything bad? Only the Great Negative can do bad!

The two forces however are not looked upon to have wills or personalities, they're looked upon as ebbing, flowing kind of forces and as such, doing good things and worshipping of the Great Positive can bring it's flow towards you. Doing bad things attracts the Great Negative. It's a pretty simple system really. However, both forces are thought to act upon fate and as such do move through certain pre-determined events. Indeed, it is thought that events such as the choosing of Tallest are part of the pre-determined events of the universe whilst the individual actions of irkens are not pre-determined and are choices of free will.

It is like a path with many different directions. Some may take you over a hill or through a river or across a field, but all will cross and intertwine at some points, these are the points which the fates of the Great Positive and Negative have pre-determined. It is only looking back that one can see those crossroads and reflect.

Irken's have no concept of souls or miracles and quite famously Tallest Ryrus (Re-rus) once commented on the Tso beliefs of souls in all things to make anything real, "A single part of a whole which makes the whole possible? The idea is as dull and slow as the Tso themselves."
When an irken dies they believe their minds and essence (mostly considered to be the physical make up of a being, atoms and such) are pushed with the great flow and, as all rivers, eventually form back to life again as a whole new irken. They do not come back as animals or other beings, only that which they have already been to walk a new path through life. Only the truly holy and pious can stop this and simply merge with the Great Positive, whilst the truly evil will become part of the Great Negative. The universe will end when all life has sided with one or the other, and thus, the final pre-determined event will occur when both sides will be pushed together, as nothing will be there to separate them, and the resulting collision will cause a new universe separating the two opposing forces and causing the flow to start again.

However, Ikanism isn't just the only religion in the Empire, the conquest of many different races and systems has cause millions of smaller religions to spread, most prominently the vortian religion of Nakhinaism (Nak-hin-a-ism) and the worship of the vortian Avatar (which is the second largest religion in the Empire!). And that's not to even say that Ikanism is the only Irken religion, there are three different sects of Ikanism each teaching their own version of the core belief of the Great Positive and Negative and each of course worshipping the Tallest as the chosen holy leaders of the irken race.
That is to say however, that the vast majority of irkens, 60% in fact, count themselves as atheists or none practising. This number does not take into account alien races under Imperial rule.

One might ask why the Tallest would allow anyone not to worship them or even let other alien religions exist. And why indeed? Well, religion is not a very big part of politics, at least not right now. The Irken Empire is a huge thing, the largest in the Galaxy in fact thanks to the recent aggressive expansion. However, their expansion by the human year of 2070 has stopped for several reasons.
The first being that, frankly, they don't have the power to do so anymore. Their military has been stretched to the absolute limit, and even with mass cloning, their forces just can't afford to move on. Lack of proper support, lack of good armour, lack of working mechs and general lack of moral or want to push on makes any more expansion, a long-off possibility.
The second being internal strife. The Empire stepped on an AWFUL lot of shoes stomping about and conquering as it did and as such many subjugated alien species are rather pissed off with them. Terrorism, rebellions and general unrest is high and coupled with the newer generation of irkens being mostly anti-Imperialism and anti-Government right now, this means a lot of the army has been turned inward to react to threats coming from disruptive star systems.
The third, and the one I shall explain in more detail, is the intergalactic pressure from other Empires. The vast Irken Empire isn't the only superpower in the galaxy, in fact, the galaxy is made up of thousands upon thousands of small star-systems or group-systems who rule themselves or are in the influence of one of the 5 major Empires.

The first of course being the Irken Empire, vast and strong but massively corrupt, stagnant and suffering from it's own totalitarianism and over-control.
The second being the United Planetary Confederation. This is the smallest of all the Empires, but far from the weakest. It has a constantly growing economy and is made up of almost twenty smaller group-star systems, each with a long history of space travel and war with their neighbouring systems. Only recently have these groups come together to found one of the most liberal and free democratic Empire's in the galaxy. However, due to the nature of its multi-species basis, it has a massive and overbearing bureaucracy causing it to be slow to react on an inter-galactic basis and making any real progress within the Empire slow.
The third is the Vuuyi-Guno Empire. This Empire is the oldest space-faring Empire in the known galaxy. At one time, their technology and power outstripped anything else by almost thousands of years, allowing them to expand greatly, making them the largest Empire in the Galaxy (until the recent Irken expansion!). However, they have not been without their problems. They have long been ruled by a strict and confining religious system, their one leader being their 'rophet' of unquestionable authority. Recently however, with the rise of liberal space faring Empires, great political upheaval took place and the old order was cast down and replaced by a great republic. However, it is doubted how 'liberal' this republic really is, and many claim it is just the old order with a new face. Right now their people, technology and economy are in shambles, but they have recently had a u-turn and are once again, slowly rising in strength and power...
The forth Empire is the brash and bold Rahngonna Empire. This Empire is the third largest, but only just, and is the greatest single economic power in the galaxy coupled with being the oldest surviving Democratic-Republic Empire and yet, its people are highly warlike and proud, making them long-time rivals of the Irken Empire. Indeed, many wars have been fought between the two over border disputes and invasions of systems under protection from both sides. Their military matches the Irken military almost person-for-person, but such vast spending has caused great strain on their economy and many wonder what will become of such a capitalistic and warlike people when their banks finally buckle under the stress of their massive Cold War...
The fifth Empire is the mysterious and neutral Tso Empire. The Tso are thought to have arisen in the days of the Vuuyi-Guno expansion as a rival power, in both military and religious affairs, however, since the Vuuyi-Guno fall, it has remained quiet and reserved, keeping to itself and staying away from the inter-galactic squabbles. It is known to enforce a strict caste system based on the best abilities of the species that live within it.

Still slowly working on... things. I've been thinking of completing escape and writing a bunch of random stories set around the big wide open space that is... space. Make it whatever I want it to be, horror, fantasy, pulp sci-fi TOM STRONG style.

OH YES, on that note, EVERYONE GO AND BUY TOM STRONG RIGHT NOW. It's Alan Moore's most awesome series to date, it really is. It's about TOM STRONG, a man so manly that his name must only be typed in caps. He's a sci-fi pulp hero who fights villains like space ants, lesbian Nazi's, trans-dimensional fascist Aztec's and huge self-replicating beings who speak through a million different voices!
Yes, TOM STRONG is awesome.
It also helps that I know own a copy of volume 3 and a SIGNED BY THE ILLUSTRATORS volume 1.
And I also got Season 1 of Big Bang Theory, which is officially my favourite American show right now. Sheldon is the best thing to come out of TV since... I dunno. Something awesome... possibly Dwight Schrute.

Also been playing some KOTOR, yes KOTOR, although it's on the PC so not as good as the old skool xbawx version but is STILL fucking awesome. GET ME SOME OF THAT JEDI RPG BE-ATCH.

So how have I managed to afford all of this? Me? The money-scrounging Sid?

WELL IT WAS MA BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY Yes, I am officially 20 now. The big two-oh. I feel so old =C but I do know that being 20 is only another milestone on the walk of life, and like the Dude says, I must abide and not worry, after all, I can't worry about shit, life goes on, man.
Either way I am looking forward with eagerness towards this summer with mein Mari and I'm hoping that soon I shall be getting out my old notebooks for Uni. Yes I finally applied and all that nonsense, wish me luck yo.

So yes, I may soon post up some ideas I have for races in the big galaxy as well as get that new Escape chapter done. It has little vortians biting Neep on the ankles. So cute.

But first, some background. All who know me know of my almost fanatical fandom for Alan Moore. His work is one of the cornerstones of my entire writing style, and V for Vendetta was the book that got me into writing for myself in the first place. So it goes without saying that The Watchmen is one of my all time favourite reads. My friend and I were very dedicated followers to the book, and like all dedicated followers we had a great worry that everything would go balls up for this movie... with the splinter of a chance that it could be EPIC.

Well, in all honesty, it was neither. It was a good movie, nothing more or nothing less.

More explanation you say? Alright.

Well for one, I'm actually rather happy with the adaptation. They kept in a lot of things I was worried they'd miss out, but yet, they missed out a lot I thought they'd leave in. For example, the part with the Comedian and Manhattan in Vietnam, I was rather surprised they kept in such a violent scene but it hit home just as hard as it did in the comic. But on the other hand, no Nite Owl I after the beginning? Damn them.
Also, I was very impressed with the acting within this film. Manhattan, Rorschach and Nite Owl were almost perfect, although I liked the guy playing Nite Owl more when he was in 'Dan' mode, he seemed to be able to do awkward geek better than action-packed hero.
Manhattan was also very well done. He was completely as he was in the book, stoic and unemotional. Plus they kept him as naked as he is in the book! YES I SAY! BLUE WANG FOREVER! Actually, the nakedness was a huge part of the character in the book, so to keep that and not have him wear underwear or something was exceedingly ballsy of them.
Rorschach... well, lets just say the dude who played him? He was BORN to do Rorschach.

Ozzy however... I liked him, but he wasn't quite book-worthy. He did have the shit-eating grin down well but his cold planning seemed too scripted with his acting and the movement from German accent to American was a little bothersome. Also, no 'I DID IT' moment despite there being plenty of great moments for it.
Silk Spectre was... kinda boring. She was really the emotional anchor in the book, but in the film she comes off as, well, kinda whorish. She constantly leans on others for assistance and when she's supposed to be the 'strong woman' like in the book, she kinda fails badly.

Also, DAT ENDING. I honestly thought that it was the most... adequate ending they could have had. It felt kinda tacked on and immediately I couldn't help but see all the giant flaws in Ozzy's plan as opposed to the book plan. And of course, the fanboy in me screams 'WHERE IS MY SQUID?' But I also understand that the general movie population won't even know who Alan Moore is, never mind the actual ending in the book, plus I can also understand the pressure to fit such a huge and arching storyline into a film. So the ending I can forgive, especially since you can almost tell they did that, then jumped RIGHT back onto the source material.

And finally, Nixson. THAT NOSE. IT LOOKED LIKE A TOMATO.

So yes. In the end, some of the characters let the film down, the almost too-sudden and somewhat rushed ending and stole away that little extra part which would have made everything just that bit more awesome. Yet, as The Spoony Experiment's Noah Antwiler concludes, 'Considering what it could have been, this is the most faithful adaptation we're going to get and it has a damn good shot at it.'

So, in all, great film. Four out of Five. Eight out of Ten. 89 out of 100. Go see it and have a nice 2 hours, it's worth it.

So yeah, general update on me. I'm FINALLY writing out the new Escape chapter, featuring Pam and Dr Weed! ( [link] )

Also, I got Left 4 Dead a few days back and I gotta say, MIXED OPINION!
It's mostly good really, lovely concept and whatnot. The whole '4 player co-op survival' thing is really well enforced, if the team don't work together you're basically screwed, and don't even think of going back for a second to get some more ammo, you'll be singled out and pounced upon in a moment. Eaten alive by a hoard of zombies.
VS mode is also an epic idea, playing as the zombies is kick ass, especially when running about and spawning right behind some unsuspecting SUKKA.
The controls work as well, ditching the focus-aim thing is a great idea, but replacing it with a 180-turn thing is kinda useless, a sprint button would have been a much better idea since you spend so much time running from things.
Sadly though, the game becomes insanely unbalanced at times when you lose just ONE member of your team, and there are a LOT of glitches floating around the map. I say 'map' because you can only play (basically) ONE campaign online, why I've no idea but considering the game comes with 4 different campaigns with about 5 levels per campaign, only having 2 to play online, one of which no one EVER plays anyway, is a very stupid idea. Plus, getting stuck in the map and having a lot of connection issues sucks serious balls.
I only hope the FREE (YAY!) update this year (maybe considering VALVETAIM) will fix a lot of these issues, plus the promise of a new campaign and special infected sound cool.

Overall, a very solid online co-op shooter but with a few large, but thankfully mostly avoidable, holes in the design.

Also, been watching a lot of old school TV from Mogulus.com, tis an epic site that lets you view hows without paying and for free! WOOPA!

Anyways, yes, I shall tell you about Res Evil 5 and my view of said demo.

So far I've only played the co-op online mode, so the single-player bit I'll mention another time, but for now all I say is this. MOAR. AMMO. PLZ. Seriously, the lack of ammo in that game is piss annoying and YES I know you're not supposed to have ammo as it 'builds tension' and all that, but when your melee has a TINY attack range and damage, it's not tension building, it's just pure ANNOYANCE.

For example, me and ma best buddy were playing on a map in which you must defend a house from a hoard of zombies. At first it was easy, we shot the heads and they fell down, simple, but then suddenly they come from EVERY ANGLE EVER and we have nothing but our SHANKIN' KNIVES to defend us. We died pretty quickly.

If the melee was something you could actually rely on I'd not be so angry, but seriously, you can't move and shoot or move and melee, so you have to hit them, then go out of fight mode to move forward and hit them again and it's SO TEDIOUS, especially when the zombies can JUMP LURCH AT YOU AND FUCKING TIE YOU UP WHILST EATING YOUR FACE.

Anyways, it's kind of addictive because you WANT to beat the game SO BAAAD, yet it's so annoying and dumb. So if any of you cool cats out there have the demo and xbawxs live, send me a note and I'll add ya and we can GET TO THE ZOMBEH KILLING (Sanoon, I'm looking in your direction on this one).

I realised that this review is more like 'me complaining about melee'. Well, to fix that, the graphics for Res Evil 5 are pretty but... I dunno, it's too bright and brown and that both makes the game rather unscary and ugly. I don't want boring brown everywhere, I want lovely bright colours! Also, FUCK BLUR, BLURRING SUCKS.
The gameplay is too slow as well, why walk everywhere? I'm pretty sure walking in games is useless unless sneeking up on someone.
The co-op idea is good, usually the woman is the one armed with the machine gun and the dude has the sniper, making a good assult-support team when in unison, but so much of the fighting becomes close range with pistols the roles become unimportant.
So yeah, a 6 out of 10 if I had to give a score, an increase maybe if they improve the damn host-join online system.

Also, writing an awesome story for about Kiv! It's gonna be kinda classical really, no experimenting or stylising, just back-to-basics storytelling. Plus I get to mess around with magic and necromancers, and who doesn't like doing that?
Best thing about writing fantasy is the names, always the names, coming up with things like 'King of the Third Dawn' or 'Lord of Frozen Mountain' is so epicly fun.
I don't even know what they mean, but dammit, they sound epic!

Besides, I get to design a whole load of charicters which I also love doing. Skeandal, Master of the Dark Arts and teacher of Kiv is going to be my favourite to design since I've got a whole 'Emperor Palpatine' thing in mind for him.
And who DOESN'T like Star Wars peeps?

Also, I read Maus, and it is EPICLY SAD. Seriously, it's probably the most touching story I've read in a LOOONG time. It's about the holocaust and all that, but also, it's about the long term effect's of such a thing... the main charicter is a little hard to understand though due to the, well, just nasty things about him.
He hates black people and is the exact stereotype of a jewish person, but yet, you read what he went though and it just... yeah, it gets to ya.

Also, been HAMMERIN Dawn of War with all expansion packs, Dark Crusade is easily the best, Soul Storm is too jumpy and Winter Assult is just annoying (IG suck ass).

My new year was spend getting drunk and dancing about with ma friends and making Mari frown at my silly alcohol antics of sillyness. But it was still epic... especially drunk tear-filled hugging at the opening of Empire Strikes back (which I got on DVD and YES in original cinima quality).

ANYWAYS, enough of that, I also have been writing some little things which I might actually finish and have been putting an ungodly amount of thought into a subject of interest for me.
THE IRKEN EMPIRE: HOW DO THEY GET AROUND?

Well, I've been a-thinking, and I've been trying to figure out how exactly the irken ships travel over the vast distances of space that makes up the milky way. The first thing I realised was that unchecked space travel, that is, just blasting off into space in an random direction, is probably a very very bad idea. It'd be like flying across the arctic, once you reach a certain point, you won't have the fuel to get back and then you're screwed. And on top of that, what about orbits and stars and meteor fields and whatnot? Hit one of those and you're a gonner.

Now they could have things like 'warp drives' and stuff, but seriously, what IS a warp drive? Most would think an engine which would make your ship travel faster than light, but even then, light still takes an AMAZING amount of time to move across the galexy and besides, when you move that fast you're talking about moving at a time-breaking speed, move too fast and you might end up going back in time (thats of course if ol' Albert was right in his theory).

Also, what about long distance communication? Messages have to get across the Empire somehow, and I somehow very highly doubt trying to phone someone on the other end of the Empire will be a simple task.

So, I thought to myself, what about wormholes? This being of course, a rip in time-space which will get you from one end of a galaxy arm to the other in no time... well, that is if you could ever find one that big. I rather liked this idea, as it made space travel more... controlled I guess. It's kinda like having a big highway moving through space with millions and millions of ships passing through constantly. I can easily imagine the various Empire's of the galaxy attempting to control and regulate the passage through these wormholes and even more so, fighting for control over them as they're the most important and swiftest way about the galaxy.

Planet's with neerby wormholes would also become very important as rest points and trading ports. Also, transmissions could be sent through these space-time rifts, letting far reaching communication possible (but probably still annoyingly slow depending on how far you're sending the message).

Inter-solar system travel would be easy, after all, spaceships in IZ hardly seem slow for something as short a distance as that. I'd expect that wormholes would appear only in the vast distances between different stars and sometimes not at all, meaning that some distant outposts would take a long time to get to and perhaps entire civilisations are left completely undescovered due to their distance from available wormholes. Therefore, the 'territory' of an empire would really just be defined by the wormhole's they control.

Of course, the Empire would be on the constant lookout for new wormholes to shorten travel lengths (as one would have to travel through one wormhole to rest and fuel on a neerby planet, then move on off to the next) so yes, some specialised ships would be made to go out and find new wormholes. Also, I guess everyone would be researching into finding ways to make their own wormholes and inable instant-traveling.

Ah look at me, I'm ramblin' again. I'll probably go on about those 'inter-solar system' travel things I mentioned some other time and maybe mention those 'other Empires' as well.

Also, watched the goddamn FIST OF THE NORTH STAR. Holy shit it's epic. REDICULOUSLY EPIC. Kenshiro, making people's heads explode WITH A FINGER. He's more manly than a box full of drawfs armed with beards, axes and POWERFISTS.
I wanna see Tuxedo FAILURE go up against a pinnical of human manliness like Kenshiro. Tuxedo Useless would bend over backwards and eat his own arse just from the very presence of a prime specimine in his midst.

Oh, also been playing Fallout 3.
It's OK at best. Graphic bugs and general repeatativness annoy the shit out of me, but the exploding bodies and endless open landscape with inviting adventure compell me on to play.
Overall I'd recomend it to anyone looking for a good adventure/RPG, but I'll tell ya this, it aint no touch on STALKER.
Goddamn, STALKER was like every RPG ever but on EXTREME HARD MODE or something. I wish that game wasn't so buggy, or I'd still be on it to this day, hunting down mutated dogs with my AK-74 and eating sausages in abandoned buses. You can do the same on Fallout 3, but with that slow mo mode, super powered weapons and lack of russian accents well... it just doesn't feel the same.

Also X-mas was fun, looking forward to partying hard for New Year.

Loving the soundtrack most of all, tis AWESOME wandering around a post-nuke wasteland with 'I don't want to set the world on fire' playing in the background.

I'S BEEN PLAYIN DUNGEON CRAWL. And my good Dude is it hard. Imagine Oblivion or any Morrowind game and then times it by A ZILLION in difficulty, add a thousand more races and you'll get the idea.

The idea of the game is to die. Thats right, it's all about dying... well, it's really about getting the legendary 'Orb of Zot' artifact on the lowest level of the dungeon, but really, it's about dying and then showing to others how you died, since there are a BILLION ways to die.

Innnn other neeeews... been RPing a lot with Mari lately on the 'next-next' gen people we invented. WHO ARE THEY?! Not telling, it'd spoil shizzle.

Also, might write some classic pulp fantasy at some point. It's about time I do considering my uber geekish love of all things... pulpy.

Erm... yea. I will post up something new eventually. I just need to stop playing Dungeon Crawl.

So yeah, I bought Bioshock and it KICKS ASS, although I've already completed it.
The setting itself is awesomeness, steapunk-biopunk setting with creepy little girls and weird splicers and Andrew Ryan's objectivist city crumbling under it's own ideas.

The ending was kinda annoying though, and of course there is always the problems with any U3 engine, but whatever, it was still awesome.

Also, THE NEW XBAWX 360 UPDATE. Holy shit what the fuck is going on in Microsoft if they think making everything REALLY ANNOYING to navigate and copying the Mii is a good idea? UGH.

I can't even load Oblivion onto my xbawxs because the disk is so ruined... shit sux.

Might try and finish some stories soon. I dunno. I haven't wrote in so long, I think it's this winter cold... and the RPing... and the Skyping... and the Bioshocking...

But whatever.

I'm off to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000! HANDS OF MANOS! Tis epic shizzle.

Although I've not really been busy... I've just been painting my home and things cos my parants are making me paint.

BUT I GOT PAIDED YAY! Moneys for me

I was going to get Fallout 3, but due to christmas coming up and a large chunk of my money being taken by taxes and my parents, I shall not and instead, I shall SAVE like a good investor person.

Also, been replaying Half Life 2 with commentary, tis epic

Also, FINALLY got onto the Orc campagin on Warcraft 3. That last undead level made me RAAAAAAAAAAGE so many times, but I'm glad I beat it. Can't wait to finish the game and maybe start playing online soon.

Anyways, enough from me, I think I shall buy bioshock if I have some funds left over.

Completing Warccraft very slowly but surely.

Too poor to get any new games.

Tried to play Drawf Fortress but I EPIC PHAILED cos I suck at it. Thinking of reinstalling Nethack or that game which I can't remember... it was awesome though. It was called 'Roguelike' or something, and you could play as a pyschoic beastman of nurgle (which I did of course) and get your ass kicked repeatedly since the game was SO FUCKING HARD.

Sigh.

I should write more D&D styled stories considering I play D&D styled games so much.

Speaking of which, my Knight story is almost done, can't wait to show you peeps.

My job went well, twas nice I rather like working there actually, the peeps are cool and the work is fast, but not impossible. I shall try and keep this job!

OH, and I got Warcraft 3 and my brother left his copy of Call of Duty 4, so I been blasting them. CoD 4 is nice, but damn, I love me some Warcraft, it's so epic and fun and the storyline is actually COOL.

It almost makes me want to get World of Warcraft JUST to continue the storyline and defeat the Lich King!

Erm... also, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES FTW. Don't ask.

Yep, I lost a dear friend today. We'd had a lot of good times together, but it seemed like it just couldn't hang on any longer and finally passed away.

I'm, of course, talking about my Oblivion game. It no longer loads levels properly, and so, much to my great distress, I must put it away.

Also, tonight I go to work for the first time, properly, and it's going to be very busy with lots of people buying lots of pints. But the whole team will be there so hopefully I won't be too swamped.

I'm worried, but the temptation of MONEIEZ is much greater, and besides, if I do screw up I can blame it on my first-day-ness.

Also, I've been writing a little sumtin-sumtin that is all original, kinda, and stuff. Dunno if I'll finish it or post it up, but whatever, it's an idea I liked.

Erm... also, never ever EVER EVER EVER watch 'The Attic'. It's a sucky crappy horror film that makes no sense.

I kept the job I got originally.

I may have pretty poor hours, but I get paid well in those hours, so it works out.

So yup, I'm finally working my bad self to earn some monies to save for next year and spend any extra on new gamez or stuff I need.

I think I might try and get Fallout when it comes out, but to be honest, I'm really just not in the mood for another epic RPG-esk game.
I mean, I played Oblivion to DEATH and the whole RPG-thing has been driven out of my system, I even got bored of playing on the Wii after a while.

Right now, I've gone back to some oldschool top-down city building on the only city-builder I have, which is of course, BLACK AND WHITE 2

Not the first city-builder that comes to mind eh? But I never bought a Zeus or Ceaser, so I only have this semi-war game semi-god game semi-city builder to keep me happy.

Anyways, erm, yep... not really been writing much apart from stuff for Mari.

I WILL try and work on other things, but as you all know, I'm rather fickle when it comes to writing one thing for a long time unless I'm REALLY into the idea.
Right now, the only idea jumping around is that I should turn 'urgatory' into a one shot and rid the world of the hope that I would ever get around to making a full story out of it.

Also, I KNOW I should finish up Platonic Life and go into Escape on full swing... which I WILL DO EVENTUALLY. Really I will.

So yeah, thats about it, wraps 'er all up.

Basicly... yeah.
I seem to have landed myself a job, with the possiblity of another job just around the corner.

Weird how I spend almost a year looking for a job and finding none, I got to america and have the greatest summer of my life to return and find 2 jobs in less than a month!

They're both bar staff jobs, which rocks cos it should be nice work AND they're both within walking distance of my home!

The question is, which one to take. I have one of them guarenteed, the other is a little more high class and probably more hours, but I'd be payed more... however, I have yet to get it.
So, to chose, to chose...

No harm in going for both, eh? MUHAHAHAHA.

So yeah, things are looking up for me in that regard! Also, if I have a new stream of moneys, I can actually begin to both, save up money for Mari and returning to the ol' USA next year, AND buy myself some of the new games out.

Mainly that STAR WARS FORCE UNLEASHED that I've had my eye on for a while. Also, I can expand my comic collection with some majoy works, like Batman: Year One/Two and Arkham: Serious House on Serious Earth.

Also, I need to get writing more on anything, although I've been thinking a lot of turning that OOOOLLLLLDDD promised-and-later abandoned fic about Zim being human into a oneshot of some kind.

Anyway, thats me for now. I'm all going to shop for nice clothing and go to an interview at the fancy place tommorow, so wish me luck guaiz.

It's been about a week since I returned home and things have settled back into boring normalcy.

I'm back on the job hunt, my best friend and I are back to swapping comics and geeking out over metal bands. I had a dream where a Games Workshop store opened in my town and we both got jobs there and became UBERDICKS like all GM workers are.

We'd be like Dante and Randle... cept without Dante... it'd be like having two Randle's working in a job that REQURES you to be a prick.

Anyways, yea, so I've been playing Twilight Princess and... it's good. Not great, not AMAZINGZOMG, just... good. I expected a lot more maturary from the game than I got, and the graphics were a huge let down for me considering it's a Wii game. But then again, it does often surprise you with flashes of awesomeness, like battling the Boar-orcs and taking on 8-10 orc squads at a time before boss battles.

It's times like those I pause the game, slam on ULTRA BEATDOWN and go DRAGONFORCE on their green asses.

I've also yet to go fly-fishing with the new Wii remote control...

Also, I'M WORKING ON PLATONIC AGAIN. Yes, FINALLY, I deleted everything from the old chapter and started again with a fresh page, so far it's going well. I just hope I can keep this going for a while.

And not liking it.

I miss Mari so much it's not funny, in fact, it's painful. My heart hurts. No joke. And I know it hurts because I'm not with her.

But I know we'll be together again soon, plus, I'm still talking to her on skype and my parants are totally behind me getting her to come to England and all that stuff.

Also, I got lots of money in my account and I might be getting a nice job soon, so thats also good.

Also got the Big Lebowski DVD cos it was on sale

Also, my lil sis got a Wii and so I've taken over it playing it like crazy, I even got Twilight Princess! And yes, it is awesome, but I expected better graphics from it.

ALSO NEW METALLICA ALBUM. FUCKYES. FUCKWIN. FINALLY, A METALLICA ALBUM THAT IS ACTUALLY METAL AGAIN!

But in other news... DAMN I miss America, it's crazy, the country is insane on so many levels but I miss it!

I miss the sunshine, the tastey fast food, the bratty kids and the soccor moms.

Anyways, yes, thats all it from me for a while. I'll try and finish some stuff and post up some new stuff but I'm also doing something private for Mari right now, something which will take up a lot of my time and all that.

But yes, I'm back home and everything and as eager as hell for next summer to get here.

This is an update.

Well, not long now until I go to AMERICA! Only 7 days actually, which is EPIC!

As you can tell, I'm UBER UBER UBER UBER excited to go, it's going to be one of the greatest experiences ever I think. I should have fun, get some work done, get some moola AND spend a lot of time with my true love.

Damn I've typed this out about five times already, each time my broswer crashes for some unknown reason and DIIIIES on me.

Anyways, yes, I came back from London on friday and thus, I shall report to you mein experience that I had over thar.

IT ROCKED. Really, London kicked so much ass it almost hurt, cept it didn't, cos it was probably too busy ROCKING.

First off, lemmie just say that yes I did see all the sights (cept the London Bridge and the Towers) and I got photos galore . I especially liked going to Westminster and seeing Big Ben, I feel like I've filled some requirement of Britishness.

However, one thing I really, REALLY enjoyed about London was the Underground. The Underground should be in EVERY city in the world, cos it's just amazing. Taking the London underground is one of the easiest, fastest and coolest experiences you can have. You can literally get from one side of London to the other in under half an hour, it's just that awesome.
It looks rubbish though, due to the peeling walls and pointless humidity and wires hanging from the uncovered ceiling, but damn, it if aint efficient!

Also, CAMDEN. CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN. Camden is MOAR AWESOME than you could handle, I almost couldn't handle it, I almost had to retreat back to the underground but no, I braved on and ventured into the jungle of fashion that was Camden St.
There are at LEAST 6 shops for EVERY fashion you could think of, no joke. Just name something and it's there, asian, african, hindu (shit I saw two guys getting SMASHED off a hooka in one shop), plus all your normal punk, goth, metal, prep, indy, rave and whatnot stores. It's easily the coolest place in England, cooler than any street I've ever been to, including both Liverpool and Manchester.

Oh, and yes I got ma visa The embassy was packed and it was POINTLESSLY HOT in there and I had to que for a long time, but I got it. Now I awate the return of my passport, my camp america shirt and I'm all ready to leave!

And from the Shivering Isles comes the news that I'm about half way through the main quest Which is awesome except for one thing... I'M STILL IN MY CRUSADER UNIFORM. Seriously, I wanna get some special Shivering Isle armour (which I know how to do and all) but I can't find ANY enchanments for the armour I want! (Amber armour). I'm totally beefed out on Amber and I could make an entire suit at any moment, but I want it with the enchantments or its just no good.
I just don't fit in there, I feel like I'm still in Devine Crusader mode and not 'Heir to the Throne of Madness' mode.

But meh, I'll survive

Oh, don't forget, the recruitment drive for is still going on, still time to register a charicter and everything.

AGH, I wrote out a whole thing here about why irkens would have kids. >__< AND IT DELETED IT.

Stupid thing.

Anyways, I'll re-type it out... cos it was a good theory.

Ahem.
As far as I can see, irkens would have kids and they'd have kids only because of the elite starting the whole thing off.
Think on this. You're a successful buisnessman with a large buisness empire and a bunch of stake holders. However, your time is drawing neer and you know that the moment you die, the buisness stakeholders and gonna ruin everything you built and probably go against all your own personal ethics, not to mention all your money and possessions are going to vanish.
So who are you going to leave everything to? Your wife? You know that unless she marries again (which you DON'T want to happen) when she dies, all that stuff is still gone. So what to do? Who can you trust to inherit all your cash and the buisness without having to give control over to a bunch of greedy buisness execs?
The solution, have a kid! The kid would get everything and be able to carry on the buisness AND be able to union with the owners of other buisnesses (or their sons/daughters at least).

Thus, having kids got started again within the empire by the upper classes wanting to keep their wealth and possessions within their familes and get to use their kids to make better buisness deals.
Of course, this trend of having kids after unions would trickle down to the middle classes, who admitadly would probably experience the more 'arenting' side of being parents and then to the lower classes, who'd have kids simply because they see those above them doing so as well.

The government would obviously have tried to stop this happening, but with the elite leading the way, they'd probably have to let it slide albit with some restrictions on how many smeets a family could have and education and such. Also, it'd probably be very helpful to the econamy, after all, with smeets being born a new market of smeet products could open up, along with child products etc, etc.

Also, it provides a great relief on the cloned irkens in general, after all, what better way to keep a planet populated then by letting the irken inhabitants breed? For one, their genes make sure that the small and poor stay small and poor while the tall and rich stay tall and rich, plus, it means that mass porduced cloned irkens can simply go right into the army or of course, be used to lay the foundations of populating a newly conqured planet with working irkens.

So there you have it, irkens would have smeets because it benifts them. It's good for the econamy, good for irkens and good for conquest. Oh, and just so you know, I think that there is no discrimination on sexuality within the empire, niether is there any discrimination on gender, rather, the discrimination lies mostly within height and class and, of course, race.

I've decided to talk about my view of the Irken Empire. Usually I don't bother talking about such thing, but I, for some reason, feel like talking about it.
SO YOU'RE GONNA LISTEN.

Okeys. As far as I can see it the Empire runs rather like the Byzantine (East Roman) Empire did back in its day, with of course, a few differences.
For one, at the highest seat of power, is the Tallest(s) who basicly have to approve every law and bill and are supreme commanders of the irken army.
Then there are the advisors who are basicly like congressmen and personal advisors, with the Tallest of say, the science, food, industry departments being the Tallest(s) cabinet.
Then, stationed on every planet and each connected, are the Control Brains who work as duel supreme judges and councils, working to enforce and interperate law while also managing a planet's general output and status.
I don't think there are any elections, ever, at least for the Tallest(s). Since all things are ultimately decided by height, the Empire is therefore something of a Byzantinian Autocracy, aka, an Empire ruled by a single (or in this cause duel) ruler(s) who is unvoted, yet, is helped by a vast network of government and who's rule is generally benevolent towards the people.

Irken rank is broken down by order of height, education and record with the head of say, a school, being the 'Tallest Principal' and the teachers below them being 'Taller Teachers' with Subtitute teachers or Aids being 'Tall Sub-Teacher' or 'Tall Aid-Teacher'. Most of the time the tallest irken will be given the best position, however, in cases where say, the Tallest is uneducated or unexperienced, the position may be given to the irken with most experience and education (e.g. the way that most invaders, although small in size, had superior education, training and experience to other taller soldiers).

Of course, each planet captured in the Empire is evaluated and put to a certain use, as shown in the show, I imagine many are things like training planets, industry and manufacturing and food production. Other things like science stations, prisons and suchlike also exist and are most likely built on planets that don't offer much farming or industrial promise. Also, its highly likely that some planets are taken just for militaristic importance and stratigic advantages over possible enemies or even just to build more living space for the uncounted massive number of irkens.

Slaves are used as the Irken race is generally considered the 'master' race as it where with the 'slave' races below them, however, in cases such as vortians the slave races may become serfs (low paid workers without rights).

However, its also been shown in the show that small irkens can be assigned to 'drone' status, which I assume many of the population do. These drones would be, in my opinion, your general working adverge joe. They work on production lines, they drive your cabs, they serve you at the local fast food stop, they build your ships etc etc. They mostly do the low skilled work and form the backbone of production and indeed the Empire itself.

One might point out with the tech at the Empire's disposal, why employ someone to build something when you could use cheep and easy robots to build it? Or indeed force the slave races to build things for you?
The answer lies in... THE ECONAMY! Simply put, if robots or slaves are used to build everything, then the adverage irken wouldn't have the money to buy the product. With no one buying the product, the company can't make money, and thus the econamy is weakened. The use of actual, well paid citizens to build things and do the low skilled jobs encorages people to also invest that money back into the econamy, thus keeping the buisnesses afloat and the people happy.

Also, its obvious in the show that the rich generals and businessirkens make up the 'elite' of irken sociaty and there's probably a large rich-poor gap. However, irken sociaty is also clearly class based, thus, most middle or working class irkens are accepting of their place in the E... ]]> ~Invader-Sideos
