What are my main talents: Drawing, talking, coming up with ideas.
Am I developing these talents: Yes, I'm at uni drawing, giving presentations, and coming up with ideas for new games and concepts.
Where do I see myself in 5 years time: Still improving, but I will be at a professional standard, hopefully working in 2D art, and hopefully designing games.
What I need to do to keep improving: Develop skills around these areas (such as Japanese language, Actionscript 3 coding) so I have something to fall back on, but mainly concentrate on developing my art.
My goals for the next 5 years: Learn to speak Japanese, if not to read it yet (this helps with communicating with gaming genii such as Shigsy <3), to script fully in Actionscript to make awesome games, and to developed a unique, professional style of art.

Of course, if this is only really going to be a realistic goal if people help me. I need support. So if I put art up, I want you guys to crit it.

I realise that we live in a pretty selfish world nowadays, and that everyone wants stuff but they never want to give back, but I want to change this. It won't take a second to give some good advice to some of my weaker pieces in my gallery, and encourage (but still offer criticism) me on my stronger pictures.

Think about what YOU want to do with your life, and how you have effectively achieve your realistic goals.

OR*, a little update. Bear with me, this could be rather interesting, especially if you actually like my art.
If you haven't been reading the boring comments on my work, you will not know that I have purchased a top- notch graphics tablet, a Wacom Intuos4. It is sexy. I'm sure my art will improve with this tablet (in fact I think it has already, possibly? Your call, really), and I think my updated 'Avril and Coconut' sorta shows that.
If you don't believe me, wait a few weeks for my fantabulous Halloween picture, which is currently in a sort of scruffy line- art stage. I'm still having a problem with hands (as are most budding artists. Yeah, I'm budding. :3), but again, I think I am improving. Criticism is always appreciated on all of my work.
Er, I am reading a book currently, all about Actionscript 3.0 for games. I orgasmed when I saw this book on Amazon, and I don't regret buying for an instance- it's amazing.
So, on that note, expect to see a few games pop up here and there.

Also, I'm sticking up concept art for my uni work. Comments aren't necessary for this work, but it's always nice to have feedback.
Oh, and please don't steal it. You will get bollocked by my university if you do, since it belongs to them as it's part of my course, yadda yadda.

I bought Smash Bros. Brawl a few days ago and don't regret it like I thought I would. Not as good as Melee, but I like playing as Dedede.
On that subject I also bought a Kirby game for the DS, which is epic.

Er, I have learned soooo many new tricks on my poi (did I eve tell you guys I got some poi?! I've had them for about two weeks, in case you didn't know), including the overhead butterfly and thread the needle. Youtube them if you like

Ok, I think that's enough of an update... Oh, Nequisan is nearly 'Hallowed' in Wow, and said character also dinged all the way to 55. I've been playing her for about a month, so not bad progress really. :]

The only thing I really have to complain about is the nasty stinky cold I have right now. At least I bought myself a nice warm jumper to wear on days like these

Well, take for instance a person whom I spoke to just the other day about a possible accidental art theft- but not crediting the people to whom the art truly belongs.

I expressed my concern in an orderly, polite manner, and still got blocked and shouted at by this poor excuse for a being, and as such I can no longer express my anger and confusion in any other way but a journal, in hope that they might read it.

Assumptions (for example the assumption that I am deliberately trying to screw up someones life) leads to bad things. It is a Mulengro, a bad energy, something that a person must never be subject to.

I hope in time everyone will realise this and make their lives better by not assuming that my actions are for selfish and spiteful reasons, and that I make it my life's goal to in fact do the opposite.

Er, my new hobby, Poi, is coming on lovely. I can do all sorts of tricks with them now. For those of you who don't know what poi are, I've had a hard job finding ones that haven't been lit on fire, but here is a picture (on DA) of a purdy lady playing with them [link] .

So yes, three modules at uni, each with an assignment to be due in in approximately 7 weeks. I've made good progress on all three already (I've only been back 2 days), so I'm happy with that.

I might have mentioned it before, but I've joined an RP guild in WoW (Sporeggar) and it's going great. I leveled my character up 46 levels in 2 months, which is an OK rate.. wasn't really concentrating on levels, just achievements and quests. So yeah, my favourite WoW character because she has a background and story, and other people actually care about it, hawhaw.

In other news, I found an injured bee, and it died. Hugo the squirrel, who raids our bedroom for nuts nearly every day, is a female, and I do tarot readings online- for free, if I have the time.

Also, I'm kinda happy that there's a Soul Calibur on the PSP now- I thought the series might be dead, but by the looks of the fabulous video, it looks like it's going to be amazing. I just hope they have the sense to move the franchise on even more and not just leave it at that.

I can't wait to back to uni and get out of this house. I've been stuck here for a long time, getting no exercise and generally being bored out of my skull. At the moment I've started back on a few games I need to catch up on, such as Ookami for the Wii, Guitar hero world tour, Eternal sonata (which my friend lent me) and maybe even Bionic Commando rearmed, since the OST is so sexy. I've also been playing on Wow. If you're on the Lightbringer, Arathor or Sporeggar European servers, please let me know. I can get a little lonely

On the art side of things, I am now filling in the base colours of my latest piece. I really hope you like the end result, I think it's going to be rather different from the rest of my gallery. Apart from the fact that it has people in it

I failed another interview the other day and it has made me feel pretty rubbish. I don't think I'm completely incompetent, I just think there are better people with more experience out there. Nonetheless, I turned to my last resort, becoming an Avon representative.
For those of you who don't know, Avon is a mail order high- quality cosmetics company that sells great toiletries and makeup quite cheap. They use representatives to promote their products, and they get a commission based on how much they sell. Nice and easy.
the most important thing is to get customers, so I told a few friends about it and asked them if they wanted a catalog so they can take a look at the products, to see if there was anything they fancied- and suddenly I'm some sort of con- artist trying to scam people out of their money! Sheesh. Nearly everyone has refused to even look at the (free) catalog, and I haven't put anyone under pressure to buy anything.
I'm just trying to earn a living, and this is what happens, my best friends throw it back in my face.
I hope they grow up soon, honestly.

Ah well, if the worst comes to the worst, I could try and sell my artwork somewhere. It would help if I did more traditional work though, rather than digital.

I'm moving house at the moment, it's stressful, but exciting. I'm glad to have all of my books and stuff back.

I just had an inspirational avatar- change on Gaia Online, and I have to say I'm very impressed with it, so my next piece of art might have a Gaia- esque theme to it.

In other news, my dad had a heart attack and nearly died a few days ago, but he's OK now. In case you were wondering, it was a dreadful experience for us all and it has scarred me quite terribly.

What is wrong with me? I just made a really nice little website for myself and I'm sick of it already. I'm making another one. Darn my ever- evolving art skills!

I hate journal previews.

BBB stands for Blueberry Bacardi Breezer, and it's what I'm drinking now. I'm not a big fan of alcopops (My favourite drink is SoCo and in a short glass, no ice with a dash of coke), but this stuff is addictive because it's blueberry- flavoured.
My annual craving for Harry Potter books has come back (8th year running), and I'm frustrated because all of my books are at an ex- boyfriends'. And he's being stubborn and seems to want to hang on to my stuff. 0.o

In other news, my website has once again been updated- still under construction but looking pretty neat now. I've given up with illustrator and have resigned to using Flash for all my graphical needs. Ummmm, I RP'd for the first time in YEARS earlier, and it felt so great- I made some friends and did some cool art for them, it really made me feel good. It seems my muse has returned for the good weather and has decided to help me out a little.

Lucifer has given us a wonderful summer sun this year, and I've been making the most of it by searing my skin with it's burning rays. I might even get a tan, but I doubt it- as a blond I am destined to be pale- skinned and super- sensitive forever.

Leo and I have been debating whether to invest in some 'Super Soakers' for the warmer days of the season, and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with him, as it's possible now he's accepted and early shift at work.

Due to the past five years being nothing but a blur to me, I have a lot of skills and experience to be catching up with.
I've been looking around DA, and doing some Jio- searching, and at last it seems I have found who I am and have learned to like myself and also appreciate other peoples efforts and personalities.
This might not make a lot of sense to others, but I guess it's nice to write it down in a journal anyway.
If you're not so satisfied with my artwork so far, I appreciate criticism, because all I want is to get better. It may not seem like it but art is a very big part of my life, and the time that I spend drawing is usually when I'm happiest.


My next Deviation will be Number 3 of the 100 theme project (I'm getting there!) and this time it will be featuring a character that has been in my head for many, many years- and the dream in which he first came to me is still clear as water in my head. I hope you like him as much as I do :3

Ok, picture of favourite sword- wielding fictional character is well underway. The only thing I need to do is the shading, and textures, if I need them.
I think it's looking pretty sweet myself, but we shall soon see.

I've been having a bit of a wow overload, since I don't have a job. I have two characters now, and they're both great. One of them is a Night Elf Hunter, which I get picked on an awful lot for having. It's a good starter character (which is why I chose it), but also, it does sorta fit my style. Rogues are pretty nifty too though, which is what my second character is.

Urrrr, what else... My uni work is going well. Making a board game, can't remember if I told you. We've gotta present it tomorrow in class, I hope everyone's gonna have their bit done.

And I might as well reiterate, just in case no- one reads my header, that I do commissions.

Worf looks so much better in Deep Space Nine than in The Next Generation.

I'm having a complete mind spaz at the moment- so many things running through my head.
I have a book to write, a uni course to do, a language to learn and hobbies to keep.
It's really hard being of such a natural religion and being in such a non- natural industry, but I love both of them. I feel like I'm contradicting, even though technically I'm not.

Leo invested in a well- earned 42 inch 1080p HD TV the other day. Soul Calibur on PS3 actually managed to get even better. Soooo nice :3

I'm making my own Flash website to store all of my work on- the other site was really just for university, but this way, I can have a great looking site, show off my skills, and hopefully have regular viewers with a decent, well- structured forum system and some affiliates.

I got a mount in WoW, it cost me so much gold but it's worth it. I'm making my own guild now, just for close friends. But I don't have nine, so it's going to be difficult.

I watched the second episode of Being Human last night- it's really good and I shall try to keep on watching it. The only thing I don't like about it is their portrayal of 'werewolves'. Kinda insulting. But never mind, its still a great show.

The snow in London was just amazing yesterday- me and Leo made a great snowman.

Okies, I have finally sorted out that bit of code that stops my background from repeating
I have also obtained a cool new journal to write my Japanese shenanigans in (they are different from English ones), and I have a new obsession with Kuchiki Byakuya, because he seems to be the only cool captain in Bleach that isn't taken or is gonna die.
I purchased Mercury Meltdown Revolution, and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed.
It's confusing and difficult and not very well thought out, but it does have good intentions, and I plan on playing it some more.
I got a copy of the new Rasmus album the other day and it's sorta lame. In fact, the only two songs I like are the first two, and they are the ones they've released.

It seems that people want me to do a Zelda fanfic, which is funny because the ideas I have for this fanfic go against everything I ranted about before- I planned to make an alternate universe where Ganondorf is a good guy and he got married and had kids. So er, yeah. Feedback on this thought, please

And last but not least... come on, people, doesn't anyone want some of their own art for just a few quiddums?! Is my art that bad?!

I HATE HATE HATE it when people do a fanfic and completely discard every morsel of personality from the characters.

I passed the written test, failed at the bug- testing like everyone else, did well in the group problem- solving, and shone in the one- to one interview at the end. (in case you were wondering, the whole thing took 3. 5 hours.)

I hope I get the job :S It's looking good, since a certain member of staff told me I was a favourite for it. I sure do hope they're right.

In other news, I've done loads more for the game I submitted a bit of; I just need to do the scenes for two of the aliens and then I'm done- just a few quick sketches and the rest of my practice journal, and I'm done!

Well, enough ranting for now. I got a confirmatory email from my Copic supplier (a week after I placed the order), and it sounds like it will actually be here soon, so look out for some traditional art later on.

I got a new Mac from PC World, but the closest they had to my original Mac was a 120gHD 1g RAM lappie with 2.1ghz processor- so I had a gig less RAM and 40gigs less on my hard drive- but for 90 quid less.
So I took that 90 quid, ladies and gentlemen, and I managed to buy 2 extra gigs of RAM (which I proudly installed myself- yay), and a portable hard drive with 250 gigs. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY GIGS.
So yeah. I'm quite pleased with this because I can dump shit on the HD- as well as Windows XP AND Maya AND 3DSMax (HOMG FUCK YEAH) and save extra space on the lappie.
And of course, I don't have this horrible blotchy business going on on the right half of my screen.
So I can play World of Warcraft (which I have to download again- the only bad thing about this story) flawlessly, with more RAM!

In other news, I am progressing rather nicely with my uni work and am feeling harmonious with everything.
Leo is being a complete dear to me by putting up with my occasional frustrated moments, but is cheering me up with some of his great art, which I am forcing him to put up on Deviantart at some point.
I had a really nice tidy up in my room today, but the stupid hoover didn't work. This annoyed me because I had to drag the bloomin' thing all the way through the flat. I made Leo lug it back, though. :B

I bought LoZ:TP yesterday as a gift to myself for getting an overdraft (yeah, I'm stupid, I know), so I will be playing that soon and possibly reviewing it on my games blog, if you wanna read it. It will be a fair review, so if you are looking to buy it, check on my blog every week to see what I think of it.

In other news, Samhain was fun even though I didn't get to do a ritual- me and Leo got tipsy, watched Family Guy and ate loads of candy- including cookies we made and decorated for each other. *Sigh* so soppy.
Also, I have my Wii up and running in my apartment, yays! I can also access the internet.
And theres no TV license fee because the TV has no tuner, hawhaw.

EDIT American Elections ladies! just recieved news that Obama won! I really hope this doesn't stir up any trouble, but I'm really happy about this. Yay!
