First I was having all these issues with the water pipe in my room leaking water all over the floor, originally mushrooms were growing in my room... then it got worse later... luckily we got a plumber... no more leak...

but what makes this really suck...

I mean, sure a lot of celebrities passed recently...

but yesterday, June 29th, 2009 around 3:30 pm... I lost my best friend.

My dog Bob had been suffering for a while with arthritis and whatnot... but as of recent had been hacking when he would drink and wouldn't eat much... It turned out he had an enormous tumor wrapped around his air pipe... and was inoperable... So recently, my family and I made the tough decision to put him to sleep... It was the single-most hardest thing I've ever had to do... Nothing is the same anymore... I miss him so much... I am just glad he isn't suffering anymore...

Well it started off about as normal a day as any... though I got up a little earlier than I usually do (partially due to plans made by my brother... and the fact that I couldn't really sleep... though that's nothing new due to insomnia...) anyways, I called my grandparents to thank them for the birthday card... then around 10 or so, my brother took me to McDonald's for sausage McMuffins, maybe not the most healthy, but they sure taste good... Then I went to work at 11:00am... around 11:37, I "officially" turned 26. Work went about as normal as it always does, despite the scattered warm messages (including text messages) of "Happy Birthday"... it was a good work day... I got a really thoughtful card from everyone that worked in the front end with me that day... then after work, I was picked up by my friend Zack and my friend Ericka in tow... we were trying to decide where to go eat... and I, as usual, was indecisive... so after some deliberation we ended up going to Ciao Mambo... a place I had actually been wanting to try for a while... we ordered a pizza, which was quite good (though I felt quite sorry for Zack, due to a cold which cruelly robbed him of his sense of taste... so all he could feel was the texture... yay.) I also got a dessert of my choice after the meal, of which I chose as a molten chocolate cake... though I couldn't quite finish that (even with Zack and Ericka's help), I was quite full... then we departed towards my place, since Zack and Ericka had class the next day. My parents were eating the last bit of their dinner... they promptly had me open presents of which contained: a package of some t-shirts and a pair of jeans (I needed more clothes.) a card containing a $25 Arch card (McDonald's) and then from my brother, I recieved a $50 gift certificate to Painless Steel... which was really cool... I also recieved a card from my grandparents with a check for $100... all of which was extremely thoughtful... Then a little later I got a text asking if I was going to karaoke with my friend Dani... to which I responded, "I would like to." Then, a little later, Dani came and picked me up... we went to Harry David's... we did some karaoke and I, of course, drank a little... *I had 3 bottles of Bud Light, an Irish Car Bomb (Pint of Guiness, Shotglass containing half Bailey's Irish Cream and Jameson Irish Whiskey), a shot of Crown Royal w Pepsi chaser, and a Bull Blaster (Redbull & Jeigermeister)* ... I did a song with Dani, "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak and I did by myself "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode... All in all, I'd say my birthday went ok... I am very happy with the results...

You see... Zack had bought tickets for Avenged Sevenfold feat. Papa Roach and Saving Abel in Great Falls.

and so we left around 4:00pm or so... having to get to the show by 7:00pm... and still having to drive from Missoula to Great Falls which takes about that much time to get there... so we piled in the car Zack rented and made our way there... arriving just in the nick of time (and parking behind a car with the license plate: "MYCURSE" which I thought was funny... its a total Killswitch Engage reference, lol).

Saving Abel started out the show... playing such hits like "18 Days" and "Addicted"... they weren't too bad... during this show, we all made our way towards the stage trying to get close... it was nuts... people got more amped when Papa Roach came on stage, very charismatic... they played new stuff and old stuff it was really cool... during this the concert hall was getting very hot, a couple people were carried out due to heat exhaustion... then after they were done we waited for Avenged Sevenfold to take the stage... during this time they turned on ventilation or something... that cool breeze was refreshing to say the least... and some girls flashed their breasts at people, before security told them to keep it under wraps...

... then A7X started... during the beginning songs... Zack and I became separated from Ericka and Kelly... I didn't see them again until the end of the show... although Zack and I managed to get very close to the stage... and left to deal with the usual mosh pit events... crowd surfing, losing your balance (I actually toppled over in the midst of it, almost losing my hat, only to be grabbed by Zack and pulled back up... good thing too.) and during the whole concert, occasionally getting beer poured on me. Then things got a little more insane with the crowd... and I ended up being pressed against Zack for quite a while... I kinda felt like a sardine, more so than when we had gone to the Saliva/Drowning Pool/Tantric/Jet Black Stare show in November... eventually we made our way out of the crowd... so we didn't get crushed or pass out... or both. Zack and I went to concessions and he bought some water for the both of us... we continued watching Avenged Sevenfold perform from the side of the Sound/Visual booth, which was kinda cool to see how they were controlling the lights and whatnot during the show... then eventually the show came to a close after they performed "A Little Piece of Heaven" and some other songs.

So we made our way back to the car... it was cold and slightly windy, especially being soaked made things a little more cold... we all changed into dryer and more clean clothes... then the subject of a meal came up, along with finding a way out of Great Falls... I was being indecisive/passive as usual... Eventually a decision was made to go to JB's restuarant... Missoula had one a long time ago, but it went out of business... anyways, we discovered they closed at 11:00 and it was about 5 minutes until... so we opted for the choice I actually had suggested, Wendy's' (because I wanted a Frosty)... which took a little ways to get there... the roads in Great Falls are a little confusing. We discovered they had NO fries... what a travesty... we ordered our food, with myself getting a number 2 sandwich and a cheeseburger and a burger, to make up for the lack of fries... and a large frosty... then eventually we made our way towards the exit back to Missoula... I was exhausted at this point... but I wanted to try and stay awake... mainly, to help Zack keep and eye out for deer and stuff... plus I don't sleep the best in cars, its kind of uncomfortable... then eventually a migraine set in... luckily I came prepared and took 4 pills... though it took a while to kick in, and the winding roads weren't helping... I was slightly nauseated, though not so much where I would actually lose it... So I tried listening to some music to stay awake, which during this time, the meds kicked in I think... I was listening to a song called "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" from the anime series, "Lucky Star"... after that I felt very awake... anyways, we got back to Missoula in one piece without any problems around 2:00ish... save for a very slow driver in front of us on the pass... Zack dropped me off, and I went inside my house... Probably one of the hardest days I can really think of... I attended the service of a very special individual... whose courage, humor and warmth I shall always remember... He tragically passed away in the morning of Nov. 20th, and with it, left a void... I still am trying to come to terms with this reality... while ... I didn't cry so much at the service itself... afterwords, it all just caved in on me... I had to go to work at 4:00, and with all the recent stress that I had already gone through, and a severe lack of wanting to be there... I became increasingly more distressed, depressed... I had to get away, I wanted to get away... Despite the fact that I have so many happy memories with my friend... it still wasn't easy to wrap myself around these thoughts... I broke down... I won't lie, I bawled... I couldn't stop... Someone who I had known for a very long time was suddenly gone... like the grains of an hourglass descending into the abyss...

So... I was allowed to leave... I still was miserable... my friend, Zack came and got me and we hung out for a short time, I vented a little... telling him my thoughts and whatnot... I felt a little better... slightly... though I still linger to this melancholy sickness... simply, to me was not fair... someone like Noah... only 26 years old, with ... so much life and potential... be suddenly ripped out of all our lives... by the deceptive carnage that is cancer... I still miss him... and though the road ahead will be hard... I have to continue on... Living day to day... cherishing every moment... for they truly are special, and not to be taken lightly & valuing the friendships that you have, and paving the road for new ones... if Noah taught me anything, its that you have to live life to the fullest, no matter what and a willingness to love, he loved life, his friends, and family devotedly... and despite the results, cancer didn't beat Noah. He lived with it and never let it rule his life...

And so he lived... and shall continue to live, within the hearts and minds of all the lives he touched... for all his kindness and friendship... I want to thank Noah... for allowing me that privilege... I am eternally grateful. Rest in peace man... may we meet again someday...

I haven't reported in a while, but I got a job again... over at The Good Food Store... its a (mostly) organic and healthy living grocery store, selling lots of things. I like it, its very community oriented, its local, and along with all that, the people I work with and the customers are all pretty friendly... unlike my last job, which didn't associate me with the general populous of the campus. I get benefits too, like life insurance, and a 20% product discount on anything we sell... so all in all, I feel this job is a nice change of pace, with all the activity and changes it has provided me...

I recently obtained Wii Fit, and surprisingly, I've noticed a significant difference since beginning its use... aside from that I still play Smash Bros. Brawl about as religiously as I did when I got it way back in March...

I have been working on a couple of pieces that will get completed... eventually. Given my work schedule and errands and all of that fun stuff.

I had to send to Nintendo to be Wii-paired...
as I was having some Brawl-related disc read errors... While all my other games worked just fine, Brawl would load only some of the time...
So I sent it and Brawl away to Nintendo...

I don't know how long it will take for its return, but I am going through serious "Brawl Withdrawal"... But at least I can draw... and play Melee, although its not quite as addicting to me as Brawl (I still keep trying to use Brawl strategy instead of Melee strategy with Peach, which doesn't help me much...)


And thats all thats going on...

Side Note: if you play Brawl, if you listen to Peach's Final Smash music slowly, you'll find out its the Super Mario Bros. 3, World 5 Skyworld map music... interesting huh?

1. I won't be returning to the University of Montana as an employee in the fall... I am officially done with the Food Zoo,
so needless to say, I am seeking employment elsewhere... somewhere where I might get benefits and full time hours, and maybe less drama?

2. My stuff from Japan came! My "Kirikirisu" album by Marina Kuroki and the musical "Shin Kaguya Shima Densetsu Kaiteban Marinamoon Final" DVD... I really enjoy both... I just need to find a region free DVD player... since the computer apparently has a limited amount of times that I can switch region codes before it becomes permanent... not that anyone watches DVDs on the computer, aside from me... which in that case, I'd keep it Region 2... since I do plan on getting the other musicals too... but what can you do?

3. I got Mariokart Wii... I have a lot of Wii games now... its crazy...

and yes, it is very awesome!

Since I've bought it, I have unlocked some characters, and maintain my main (Princess Peach) whom, is still a powerhouse despite her drastic changes from Melee... I love that she skips! and her final smash is devastating (especially on moving stages... > )

... I head to Oregon for a little while to spend some time with my grandparents... It will be a lot of fun... however, I will not have steady access to the internet.... but I will try my best to get on to continue checking deviations and messages... I plan on bringing my sketch pad, and digital camera with me... so hopefully when I get back, I will have new stuff to post... Please look forward to it... Until then... I am looking forward to this trip... mainly, to get out of Montana for a bit... I get to ride a passenger train for the first time... and I get to escape these hot temperatures that we've been getting lately... since my grandparents live in Reedsport... its close enough to the coast where the temperature is a nice steady cool degrees... and I love Oregon... its a beautiful state...

[link] its cool... if you have a Nintendo Wii you can register your Wii's friend code on there... and people can request it or you request theirs... thus eliminating the tedious task of acquiring Wii codes from people... (like in my case... I know next to nobody who owns a Nintendo Wii... so this made it alot easier) anyways... I just thought I'd share that...

EDIT: My Dad came home... late on the 18th... it was a blockage but nothing too serious... so anyway... things are back to a state of normalcy again...

aside from this... I hung out with friends and jumped off a 35 ft. high bridge... twice in to the river... out in E. Town... it was fun... kind of stung initially... and the thrill of the drop... I wanna do it again... just swimming and being outside was a nice change... home is so... boring... I mean... I love playing my Wii and all... but I love being outdoors so much more. anyways... I am still kinda shocked that I was able to find one... they are hard to find... anyway I own so far, Rayman: Raving Rabbids and Wii Sports... and two Wiimote/nunchuks... Its so cool!

On to art news:

Nothing new to report... I am working on drawings almost all the time... some I like and some not so much... and I am a bit lazy when it comes to posting them sometimes... I still need to get Prismacolor markers and such... so my drawings will actually scan without looking... well... badly colored or something...

I am... this time as a sim (I made a plumbob!)... Last year I scared people as Usagi (from Sailormoon)... my first crossplay... Who knows about next year... I'll figure it out later...

Halloween candy is pricey... period.

I watched the 'final' episode of Inuyasha last night (this morning at 2:00 a.m. Mountain Time) and it was good... So glad that the manga is still going even if they did kill off my favorite character...
