There's a lesson to be learned from this all though.

See, I first built my PC in Korea, where I had access to all sorta delicious and inexpensive badass computer components. I built myself a top of the line-ish duo core. But then I got amped up about quad core processors, and instead of doing the RIGHT thing and getting an Intel, I got an AMD Phenom processor. Oh yeah, the thing was a dream come true. Intermittent lockups, sudden recognition loss of arbitrary components, and a new and interesting BSOD ever so often, just to tell me it was resuming "normal operation". Long story short, the processor was a fucking nightmare. The duo core ran better, but I sold/traded it off long ago. Now my main comp with all o' my good stuff is dead, until I can build a better one. Well folks, seeya later!

My other issues are 1) I have trouble doing lineart and 2) I have trouble with digital coloring/shading.

I suppose I COULD post some sketches, but as they're the results of How To's, it simply wouldn't be right until I get to the point where everything comes from within. That, and a sketch at THIS time would be undermining myself as well as you, the viewer! I've been working a hell of a lot on drawing perspective and anatomy lately, and I'm still far from being good at all. Like I said, I pin the rap on my environment. As soon as I set up a better workplace, I should be back on my feet and take this a little more seriously.

For those interested in what I HAVE been doing art-wise as of late, I've been drawing structures/buildings (I really love the Baroque/Gothic/Spanish themes!), vehicles and mounts of various types (medieval fantasy to futuristic), a few humanoids (I like the manga style, so I kinda stick with it), logos, designs, and varied doodads derived from street graffiti. I'm trying to well-round myself for drawing complete works, and not just a character standing on an open plane to nowhere fast >3>, and for now, it looks pretty crappy. Lastly, if it wasn't slight evidence, my avatar and featured image are 8-Bit. I've KINDA been working with 8-bit spriting/styling lately, and it's really fun! For me, 8-Bit will never die! To top that off I even listen to chiptune!

So there you have it folks, the abridged reason as to why J-Shin doesn't post diddelley squat nowadays. He's STILL learning how to do crap, and he REALLY hopes he can get CG down, as well as master that damn WACOM he spent a good chunk of his tax return on. Dont worry, until I start posting more stuff (hopefully in August/Sept) I'll still be here on DA either faving/commenting on the luscious works I stumble across or on the Politics/Complaints sections of the forums, where I get on pompous asshole's last nerves. Strangely enough, I seem to have realized one major problem with my sketching >3>...
I'm right handed and I manipulate my right hand as most left handed people manipulate their left hand... or I have "two left hands" >3>...

So within the past week, I've been trying to change up how I draw/write, and stupidly enough, it seems as if I'm learning how to draw/write all over again... embarrassing, but why the hell not give an explanation?

Well folks, last week my WACOM got in, and from what little I've done with it, I'm sure it'll be a valuable asset for any digital work I'll be doing in the future... but for now, I'm gonna stick with my old method a bit longer... and not to mention that I have to learn a new method to drawing ^_^...

I'm right handed, but if I sketch with my left hand, it seems my sketches have that chaos that I want in a sketch... I dont really get it... but eventually I'll work that issue out.

And last, the most critical and drastic change to my digital editing media...
The monitor/videocard on the computer that I am using right now is nowhere near as effective as the monitor/videocard on my main computer. I look through my own deviations on my other computer, and they look sorrier than I expected... in fact, some of my favorite deviations look entirely different on my main comp... THAT being said, I should have a better edge on editing on my other computer! I hope that this doesnt sound rediculous folks, but bear with me ^_^'

I dunno when I'll be posting another deviation, but do stay tuned!

So pretty much, I just learned how to successfully do lineart, colorize lineart, then add shading within 24 hours (alot of time between the first and last submission was spent sleeping...I think I have a bad case of insomnia). Not great or nothing, but I'm happy that I was able to do it! I'm also learning how to model and render in 3D Studio Max, which is pretty fun seeing to it that I had no prior experience with rendering. And kinda unrelated, I'm also taking up C++ and music composition. I dunno, perhaps I like building up from the dust.

I'm done with this entry for now, but stay tuned ^_^' I'll be posting some more stuff between now and Sunday.
