... and what a great time I had. I have been trying out my Lubitel so now I have six 120 films and a couple of 35mm films to develop! Most of the photos were of the costal walks that we went on which were very nice, lots of big hills and rocks to climb over. I also made some more cyanotypes there too, so I got some college work out the way. Also when I got back my super 8 film had arrived back developed so all I need now is a bulb for the projector and I should be able to view it.

I hope everyone has had a nice week and such.

Thanks for the comments and favs whilst I was away.

James
x

Well I am really enjoying a project we have been given lately, it is all about experimentation and creating prints that we would not normally produce. I have been focusing on cyanotypes and liquid emulsion prints but I would really enjoy making some salt prints too. Another project we have been giving is very interesting, basically we have to take the story of 'Alice in Wonderland' and shoot 4 scenes from it to produce 4 A4 sized prints. It seems like very good fun but I have been struggling to think of ideas for my shoot, another annoying thing is that it has to be all in digital and because I don't own a digital camera (except the one on my phone)it requires me to borrow peoples cameras and other things. The other project is a simple location project requiring 2 to 4 16x12 inch prints of two locations of our choice. Overall I am enjoying the ND photo course but the teaching could be improved a lot, it just lacks structure as half the time we never even seem to have a teacher with us!

In other news I have recently got my hands on a Lubitel 166 Universal, for free! My brothers friends dad saw my old Agfa Isola I had round my neck and he went inside and fetched it out the loft. I was speechless! I was asking for a TLR camera for my birthday (was going to ask for a Seagull TLR camera) but now I don't have to ask for an expensive camera (my parents are going to be happy) but I may ask for a Holga instead as they are cheap and I love how the negatives turn out with all the light leak and vignetting, it just looks fun. Also I have sent off my super 8mm cine film of our classes trip to the Yorkshire dales to be developed and I should be getting it back tomorrow! I just need a bulb for my Nans projector and I will be able to view it! as well as all of her old films, should be rather fun seeing how it came out.

Anyway I have ranted on about stuff for ages. Thanks for all the comments, favs and watches.

James
x

... and hopefully it will bring lots more photography opportunities. My next task for this year is producing some fashion shots in a studio at college, I have never really shot in a studio before so it will be a fun experience. I am also experimenting with media and film, for one of my projects I am shooting a film using a old super 8 film camera, I don't know how it will turn out but I know it will be a fun experience.

Thanks for all the comments and 's

James
x

Well, other than photography I like to draw little cartoony things. Things such as balloons, clouds and random little circle people and be found in my artwork. I like to work on anything, for example; I was drawing on hats which I got from krispy Kreme for my friends. I am also going to start to make some custom kicks, mainly working on Converse All Stars. So I'll add some of my random happy cartoony drawings to my gallery.

---------------------------------------------------
The Converse Club
