I'm sick. Luckily not with swine, but with some other stomach virus. My brother was sick, my sister is sick, and my mom is sick. And now we're going alone to AAC because ~xStrawberryPosiclex and her mom are sick/don't want to get more sick, and ~KiriUchiha's mother doesn't want her to get sick.

Oh yeah, and my mom had to be taken to the ER in an ambulance with extreme vertigo last night. : P She's all good now though. She went up to camp today and everything. xD

I want to practice and try to develop a style that I'm happy with.
I mean, it's not like I'll abandon what I've already drawn, but I feel like I've been limiting myself. I've gotten too comfortable with drawing girls and ukeuke guys! Now I need to practice SEMES and MANLYMEN. Okay, maybe not too manly. LOL
What exactly am I aiming for??
Try searching for the doujin circles "BBP" and "Wrong Direction".

So yeah, I'll be practicing in that aspect for a while. xD
I also wanna practice doing comics/doujins. I think drawing in that environment will help me improve a lot, especially when it comes to poses and a sense of composition. I find it funner and easier to draw doing that kind of thing, where people are supposed to be doing a specific thing in each panel. It's easier for me to think up poses and things like that. I also wanna practice toning. :]

Okay, so I'm having some problems with my Photoshop...

I don't know if I screwed up the brush or if PS just hates me, but I'd really if appreciate it if someone is able to tell me how to fix it. ;O;

This randomly started last night while coloring that Kevin pic. I had a brown and all of a sudden it decided to turn into brown and green dotty things. I did fiddle around with the brush settings a bit, but that was long before this happened. It does this with every color but black and white.

Every other tool but the pen tool works fine, so I'm thinking I must have done something to it without knowing. At least I hope so. Dx

OKKAYYY so I'm in bed right now. I've been trying to go to bed early so I don't wake up so late, but I never get to sleep until 2:00am anyway. ><

SOOOO I've been watching Scariest Places on Earth on the DVR. GOD I LOVE THAT SHOW. I went to see HBP yesterday with , , , and someone who doesn't have a dA. What an awesome movie! The effects were really great, and so was the acting. As a movie I think it was very good, though I don't think it really did the book justice. orz They didn't mention anything about Bill or Fleur, and Slughorn didn't even have his signature walrus-stache. ;_____; Not to mention we hardly know about anything going on between Lupin and Tonks. She calls him an endearment ONCE in the entire movie and at that point they still weren't even together. Dx They don't mention anything about Greyback biting Lupin, or about how Tom/Voldemort used to torture little orphans. But hey, it was long movie to begin with, and the book is pretty thick I suppose. There were just some parts that I'm kinda PO'd that they changed in the first place. If you're gonna leave something out, fine, but some changes they made were quite unnecessary.

It was very funny though, I had a few good laughs. xD

So yeah, this is my first time ever reading one of the books and then seeing the movie, and I still think the book is loads better. Or I could just be biased because HBP is my favorite book. Tom Felton was really good though, I was surprised! I was kinda hoping for more blood in the bathroom scene though. LOL -shot-

I try to make it as thin as I can (cause I don't like how bold my lines are. >< ) and to try to give it as much depth as possible.

Always keep a light source in mind! And try to use shading to define shapes and depths that you can't define with lines, that's what give the picture more depth!

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. Usually on the longer side.

I don't really listen to music when I draw. I get distracted. ;orz

I usually only draw when I have an idea. lol Otherwise it might take me a minute or two.

First thing's first, I've decided on my new Reborn! cosplay, which is totally not obvious/right there in the title in capital letters.

FRAN.
Yush. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T THINK OF IT BEFORE. -slaps forehead-
I LOVE FRAAANNN. My top favorite characters who are pretty much all tied for first are Chikusa, Fran, and Basil anyway. (Why do I always have to like the characters with small fanbases? OTL Fran'll catch up though, he's still fairly new compared to the others.) Hibari and Spanner are in second. Though my favorites actually tend to change a lot. I wonder

So yeah, that also means I need to make some monies to pay for it. I wonder if my mom would ever let me do comissions? Would you guys actually buy from me? LOL

I'm supposed to be babysitting for the neighbor sometimes too, but I haven't even done it once yet.

I want monieeessss. I have like, $30 and that's it. LOL

So I was gonna ask for more opinions. and I talked about what sizes we were gonna print for the table, and I decided on A4 and 15 x 10 (I think that's what I ended up deciding anyway? LOL Sorry, my memory fails me after 1:00am.).

The only thing I don't like about having a table right now is that I can't play around with all the Reborn! cosplayers that'll actually be there this year. ;O; Maybe mother dearest won't mind watching the table though? I'm gonna see if we can go on Friday this year too, so I can get some more cosplaying in. I already have 3 Reborn! cosplays that I wanna wear, and I'd also feel bad if I didn't do Horo Horo, because our Art teacher worked so hard to help us make those props and I haven't even started it yet. Plus I wanted to be Riku. A;SDKLJAG.

Before I go on rambling about my depressing life, I wanna sort out my thoughts and plans about getting a table at AAC with .

I've mentioned this several times, but now that the website's been updated, I'm starting to get a little anxious. lol I mean, I don't know the first thing about running a table. DDx

I've been looking at this guide [link] and I think I'll stick pretty close to it's suggestions. 5-10 different prints...But of what? If you were coming to AAC, what would you want to buy? I seriously need suggestions guys. ><

I'm definitely gonna do some Reborn! ones though. I was just on the forums and there's people already planning a shoot (I expect to see a lot of Varia people. lol). It sounds like 10:30 Saturday morning is the plan. Maybe I'll have my mom watch the table. She walked in on the KH one at Portcon just when we were getting some Riku on Riku fanservice. LOLOL

GUUUHHH. I DON'T WANT TO WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER AKJHALG.
There's so many amazing people I can't wait to see!

Now to the not-so-nice-stuff I mentioned...

So, Monday night me and were just watching Final Fantasy: Advent Children, having a good time, I put her Sephiroth pillow in the fridge yatayata, and then we go to bed on the air matress. Suddenly I realize I can't breath that well. I think "Eh, it's probably nothing, I'll just wait till it passes". But it doesn't, it just gets worse. Dx Finally I'm huffing and puffing waking my mom up. She says just to get over it and go back to sleep. When I tell her I can't she tells me to go outside on the steps for some fresh air. I do, but it still doesn't go away so I go inside and she comes out with me. By that time I'm already hyperventilating and I feel about ready to fall over. So we head off to the ER. They drew some blood, did a chest xray, EKG, and an unnecessary IV. It all comes back perfectly normal, so the doctor says it was probably an asthma attack caused by something I'm allergic to in the hotel room. So then I start getting dressed to leave, a nurse takes out the IV, and the other nurse is just starting to take my blood pressure when the nurse has to run for a container thing for me to throw up in. I didn't actually throw up, but she got me an anti-nausea pill and they told us to wait 15 more minutes just in case before we leave. We were gone from 11:00pm to 4:30am. I had to go to Busch Gardens on 4 hours of sleep, while having an asthma attack and almost throwing up several times. The Irish dancers were amazing though.

I did feel better by about half way through it though, at least the breathing anyway. I only went on the Tea Cup ride because I was afraid of throwing up. I'm not really a ride person anyway. xD Me and Katie also played DDR in the arcade which was really fun! Dance Dance Revolution Extreme has all of my favorite songs! I'm officially saving up for it as of this moment. >w<

Today we went to Virginia Beach. I can't tell you how much I HATE the beach. I HATE sand. I HATE hot weather. And I HATE swimming in salt water then getting all itchy afterwards. But I got a new pair of sunglasses. : D

I like beaches in Maine because it's never too too hot and the sand isn't as fine. Though I guess it is pretty cold. LOL
Has anyone ever swam in Sandy Beach in Jonesport, supposedly the coldest beach in the continental United States? We were DARING eachother to stick a TOE in the water, it was so cold! It was in July too. I mean seriously, I wouldn't go in there in fear of getting hypothermia. And I'm being 100% serious. That's stuff's not safe to swim in. D:

I almost can't believe it.

Here I was gonna write a nice little journal about vacation in New York and Virginia, and my brother shouts out "Michael Jackson's dead!". My mom thought he was joking, but we turned on the news and they were doing this timeline of his life on FOX.

-sigh- It's no surprise really. I mean, it was pretty sudden, but just imagine the stress he's had to go through since he was 8? Especially his later life with all these rumours and lawsuits. I thought everyone was pretty down when Johnny Cash died, but really, the king of pop? He was just about to do a bunch of preformances overseas too...

Anyways, R.I.P. Michael. It's a shame that a man with such talent had to leave us so soon.

I HAD SO MUCH FUN.

It was so AWESOME meeting you guys! I was so nervous that I wouldn't say a word or anything, but you guys made me the most social I've ever been in my entire life. MELLOW MELLOW~

I was trying to do a "On Saturday we did this.." and so on, but Saturday is almost completely blurred out by the awesomeness of Sunday, so I can hardly remember what happened. LOL

So here are my favorite moments:

MATT AND MELLO'S FIGHT FOR DOMINANCE.
The first one when we wrestled on the muddy ground and I threw Hannah in a pile of woodchips. LOL IT'S JUST TOUGH LOVE, BBY. <3
Ninja L / L attempting to rape the tree, cosplaying as a pole, cosplaying as Mini Mouse.
WTF TONI, MAANN ARRMMSSS. L was able to hide behind the pole COMEPLETELY without you being able to see him from the other side. SUCH A NINJA. He also tried to take off the pole's Mini Mouse cosplay (which was a sticker). Naughty, naughty L.
Just walking around the mall and getting all those stares. LOL I LOVE THAT.
Walking around the mall with Axel and getting even MORE stares. PSSHYEA.
Just the plain awesomeness of the con. Portcon is by far the friendliest and most fun cons I've ever attended, and I'm glad I could make it again this year. Mainers are just so nice, aren't they? xD Even if you weren't from Maine, once you crossed the border you just got this sudden jolt of good attitude, didn't you?!

There's probably something else totally awesome that I'm forgetting, but I'm so tired tired right now, my brain is just mush. xD

I found myself reading LuciusxNarcissa fanfics today.
I'm really starting to like them. Ever since the beginning of Half-Blood Prince with Narcissa, I really really like her. It shows she really has a soft side. I mean, she even threatened to kill Bellatrix. o.O And she wasn't even afraid of going against Voldemort.
And then with Draco when he was sobbing in the bathroom, and at the end when he was saying Voldemort threatened to kill him and his parents and when he was too scared to kill Dumbledore...
They actually seem human and not steely-hearted douchebags.

<sub>So I just got back from Urban Adventure, which is a REACH(Jr. High version of JMG, Jobs for Maine Graduates.) trip where we go to Portland and spend the night and do a buncha stuff. We had a scavenger hunt where we walked around Portland and found stuff like job applications, brochures, a certain newspaper, etc. It was POURING the whole time btw. D: Then when we got back we had a dance, played RockBand, and watched a movie. Then we all went to bed. In the morning we did a bunch of group activity things that worked with teamwork, communication skills and all of that. We also had to do a job interview. I think I did pretty good. xD It was fun seeing people from past REACH trips, but since it's the last REACH trip we'll ever go to, I'll probably never see them again. ;O;

So yeaaaaa, I frosted my cake this morning. I just ended up writing "Kufufu" on it, since my frosting skills are basically non-existent. xD

DID ANYONE READ BAKUMAN? THEY TALKED. THEY ACTUALLY TAAAAALKED. On the phone, BUT STILL. For a second I thought that meant that they totally ruined it, but I guess since they didn't actually SEE each other, it was okay. I don't know. It was just kind of exciting. xD

I really need to get moving on my cosplays.
I've hardly done anything at all. ;_________;
I'm starting to wonder if I'll actually be able
to pull off a South Park cosplay (I guess I'm doing Tweek now)
in time for AB.

I'm still waiting for my Takagi wig
to come. As soon as I get a chance to go to WalMart,
I'm buying a jacket pattern and material. I think
I'll just make it out of red and use stitch witchery
for the white. How's that sound? I'm still hoping
I can find some decent pants somewhere. Dx
And I have no idea about the headphones.

I wish I had something more interesting to talk about, but
really all that made me want to post a journal was that pic.
Oh yeah, how about my personal life?

So, I've been having headaches for about 4 weeks now.
(Well, I've always been getting headaches since my eye,
but this is the daily kind.) About the time it started, I
got a cold and eventually I ended up with a sinus infection.
I'm taking antibiotics right now and it's mostly gone. When
I went to the doctor's for the headaches yesterday though, he
wasn't sure what it was, so I had to go get an x-ray.

Those people are IDIOTS.

First off, my mom had a hair appointment scheduled and she
asked how long it was going to take. They said "Oh, you'll just
be in and out, no worries." and we were sent straight to the
waiting area after they said the fax from the doctor's office
hadn't arrived yet. After realizing that she didn't even ask
what we were there for, my mom went up to the counter and was
going to tell her. The lady sat there on the phone while my
mom was just standing there waiting to tell her that we were there
for xrays. Turns out, the xray forms were in a different place
and the fax DID arrive. D<

THEN when we went to xray, the lady behind the desk just TOOK OFF
for 15 minutes for no apparent reason. So we sat there until she
got back and then as my mom went to follow me into the room, she
SLAMMED THE DOOR RIGHT IN HER FACE.

I HATE THAT PLACE, I HATE IT.
THE WORST FREAKING HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO.
I even went to the emergency room one time complaining of chest
pains. My mom TOLD them about me being on my medication and how
strong it is and even that my doctors were scheduling me for
surgery JUST to get me off of it because being on it long term
and DAMAGE YOUR INTERNAL ORGANS, and Dr. Moron/Morin just x-rayed
my stomach and sent me home with gas pills. DDD<
Btw, I looked at the x-rays, and my stomach was FILLEFILLED with
gases. I mean SCARY filled, like SOMETHING WAS SCREWING UP MY
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM -coughMYMEDICATIONcough-

Turns out it was screwing up my electrolytes, making me dehydrated,
and messing up tons of other things. I was hardly eating at all
while I was on it, and I can't believe how much energy I've gotten
back since November.

Wow, sorry guys. I kinda went into rant-mode there. o.o

AHHHH.
WHY IS TIME MOVING SO FAST ALL OF A SUDDEN.
IT WAS JUST 4 O'CLOCK.

So I'll tell you what I've been up to.

Been sick. I've been so congested, it's driving me nuts. Apparently I have a sinus infection now. Dx Didn't go to school today, hence the 12:00pm journal.

We did a Eurasia map in S.S the other day. LITHUANIA, RUSSIA, BELARUS, ESTONIA, DFAL;KGJA. The Hetalia-tard in me went crazy. -loves the European countries-

Haven't drawn much digitally, but I've been scribbling in Math class again. I drew a tiny Bill Weasley to accompany my China in my laptop case. xD

Which brings me to the most important subject.

HARRY POTTAAAAHHHH.
This high probably isn't going to end until I finish all of the books. I've finished Azkaban and now I'm on Goblet of Fire. I would LOVELOVELOVE to do a Marauders cosplay in the future but Katie already said she wouldn't do it and Brandi refuses to read the books (which I can't stand btw, THEY'RE SO GOOD).

I've been watching Avatar this past week on Nickelodeon, and last night while I was waiting for it to come on, I watched this show called Three Delivery. I TOTALLY LOVE IT. I'm such a geek. xD
