My main interest is game programming (and programming in general), however I do a bit of 3d modelling. Got quite a few photos on my hard drive which I’ll have to go through and pick a few to upload.

I'm not really interested in terragen anymore (it does prove useful for generating backgrounds and terrain for my game projects though).

Yes, I have worked out that there has to be life after death, and before you ask, yes i am crazy

It’s all to do with the concept of free will, the idea that we are free to make our own decisions and therefore chose the path we take in our lives. But do we have free will? Are we in control of the decisions that we make, you would think so, but physically it's not possible, our brains are just like a very advanced computer, and like a computer, out brains base our decisions on what we have experienced in the past. Now it's clear that a computer can not have free will, so wouldn't the same idea apply to us? So basically, it means that we can not have free will.

But, here is the trick, we are aware of our existence, while a computer, not matter how advanced, is not. Now what’s the point of us being aware if we can not control what happens to us, and all we can do is sit back and enjoy/despise the ride. If something does not have free will, there is not point for it to be aware of its existence. So this leaves two conclusions, firstly, we do have free will, but this ability of free will can not come from within the physical universe, but from something beyond. The second conclusion is that we in fact do not have free will, but the reason for our awareness is so that we can use our life experience to learn from, but if a lesson is to be taught, a opportunity has to be available for one to use the knowledge that has been learned, which in the second case, would not be possible in the physical world, and therefore it world require the existence of something beyond which would allow us to apply what has been learnt.

So both conclusions require the existence of something more then our physical world, what is it? Lots of people have their own idea, but know one can know for sure, but what I do know is that there has to be something.

By now you'll all probably be thinking "what the fuck?!", hahaha suckers.

It's one of my favorite Floyd songs, the lyrics together with the music make it so wonderfull to listen too, I bought the album it's on, (YAY!) 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason', also got 'Animals'

Anyway, happy easter to ya'll, hope noone od on chocolet, hahaha

And I spent easter in Rotorua to visit my parents, it was good to see them again, and i'll be back to Auckland tomorrow, in case anyone cares.

Woohoo! I have 1000 page views! THank you soo much every body for looking and commenting on my artwork. In order to celbrate this occasion, I have purchased a subscription (Yay! )

In other good news, I have got my computer back up and running, and my hard drive is working now, it was weird, to should be able too, but it does.

I took some more phot's with my new camera, so i'll put those up once I install PSP, also, I can use my camera as a webcam

I lost terragen, but i'll get it of * Rilith today, and start working on my TerraPro artpack entry.

Update/

I've finaly got windows installed and running (thanks to ~Rilith), although i've lost all my data, and one of my hard drives is not working anymore, I can't format it.




It's horrible, Yesterday my computer was working fine, then it crashed, well, no big deal, i'll just restart it.

half way though starting up it resets it's self, comes up with some corrupted files or some shit, i keep trying, tryed starting it in safe mode, but nothing worked. So i decided to reinstall windows.

Everythings up and running fine now, except for one small problem...

I've fucken lost all the data on one of my hard drivesm all freaken 30gigs of it, programs, games, lots of shit. And worst of all, my 5 page report thats due in tomorrow!!!!! aahhhhhhhhhh!

plus all my terragen renders, including my terrapro artpack entry which I had yet to submit.

I'm sure there were tons of other important shit on there, but i'll never know.

If no one saw it, how do we know the tree even fell, of even if the tree ever existed?

If a logging company went into a forest, cut down every single tree, and the logs caught fire and burnt all the logging companies employies, how do we know that there was ever a forest there, or that the logging company ever existed?
