I haven't put any of my recent work up really because most of it was college work, as I never seem to have any time for much else! And all the college work is currently mounted up in folders in college...which I will not be getting back anytime soon. Sigh. But! I have currently got some of my creativity back and I'm working on a portrait of Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. Have you seen the photos? I couldn't resist all the sickeningly bright orange and crazy eyes XD.

The reason for the title of 'change' is because the time is drawing ever nearer when I will be leaving my home for 18 years and moving to London for uni. I think it's going to be quite a shock to the system to be honest, and while I'm extremely excited (i'm going to be surrounded by like-minded art fanatics!) it's also quite scary! And sad, to be leaving everything behind.

But the show must go on

But anyway! I've just got back from the amazing place known as New York Went on a media college trip (even though I don't do the subject)and had such a fantastic time. Did all the touristy type things such as the Empire State Building, Little Italy, Chinatown, 5th Ave, shopping in Greenwich Village...the list goes on. I was so tired yesterday after getting an overnight flight and staying up most of the last night there...went to bed at 9 and didn't wake up til 12 today! Very unusual for me, meaning I don't really feel that tired right now.

I will be once I've gone through them putting up a few photos, the better ones

I've been in Falmouth for the past two days for my interview which was yesterday - it takes around 5 hours to get there so we thought it would be more practical to go down the day before. It was a rather unusual interview as well. We had to do an excersize which involved taking three objects and making them into a sculpture, which we then drew, then make a paper sculpture from the drawing, and lastly make a drawing of that! I felt like a 5 year old again, using masking tape to stick torn/screwed up bits of paper together xD

I have an offer from Ravensboure too, though Falmouth is my first choice. Just need to go to the portfolio review at Chelsea, and hopefully find out if I get in soon!

I've realised how little of my current work that I have a copy of and can upload, as it all gets done (usually at the last minute) and gets tucked away nicely in sketchbooks or mountboards! I shall have to remedy that. If i remember to take my camera with me to college.

Anyway, i've just had a rather crazy week, the main thing being the HUGE art deadline tuesday just gone. I'm really not sure what i was thinking taking three art subjects, i didn't sleep at all monday night becuase i had so much to mount up and a couple of evaluations to write. I still didn't finish it until an hour before deadline at 4 on tuesday! But i'm so glad thats finally over, though i'm now a bit at a loss, i haven't had free time since last august, so this is a rather strange concept now.

On top of all that i have two maths exams tomorrow which i haven't had time to revise for...oh well. i'm dropping it next year!


Anyway, enough of all that, i did manage to get some photos and scans of some art work before I handed it all in, so some of them should be up in the next few days.

Hope you're all enjoying the good weather! Those of you in England. I don't think its lasting any longer though damnit. And for everyone else, just hope your enjoying yourselves!

Yeah, so since the last update that had been staring me in the face was about my GCSE results, I thought it was about time I put another one up. Since then I have started college, completed my first short film, been to Thorpe Park (a theme park for those of you not in England), and got a job .

There are several photos that I took a while ago that I need to put up here, but I think they may be on the other computer...Ok well a few of them are on here, but I don't think they're all edited. I'll upload a couple anyway. Oh, i've also done my first kind of large cavas painting, which i'll hopefully get a photo of soon so I can upload that. The pencil drawing version is only half finished, so i'm not sure when i'll be able to finish that off.

Right now i'm procrastinating, as always. Should be writing an evaluation...joy.

Ah!! I was not expecting to get an A for english - though i did get a B for the lit paper. Or a B for science! Must've done something right somewhere... Does anyone know how you find out where you came in the country? Cos that would be interesting to know.

And i'm also back from my holiday to the Canary Isles, if you couldn't tell That was definitely the best holiday i've been on, I loved it! And I would love to go on another one, you meet loads of new people and there's always something to do - even until 3 in the morning I miss all my friends on there now though, we had such a good time. Oh and the food is lovely!

And now I feel like a pig because i've eaten too much. oh well.

So yes, going to Paris next week! It's going to be great. It's a music trip, so the jazz band, wind band and singers will be going, so that means most of my friends We'll be playing in Disney, as well as a place called Parc du Champ de Mars. I can't speak a word of French so i'm going to be stuck, ah joy. The only slight annoyance with this, is that the coach leaves at 2am on Tuesday morning, so it'll feel like monday still. Plus, most of us are on our induction day at college on Monday, so we'll already be exhausted! And it's impossible to sleep on a coach.

What else has happened since i last updated...oh yeah! End of exams!! Wooo i'm free . My music teacher said the other day that all the year 11's look so relaxed now that they've finished. It's such a great feeling not having anything lurking in the back of your mind needing to be finished, i love it.

Muse was a couple of weeks ago too, which was absolutely awesome. Walking into Wembley stadium...it's just huge! We were there early so we got right near the stage, not too far from the barrier! The atmosphere was fantastic too, especially on one of the slower songs, when everyone got their phones out and waved them in the air - mobiles are the new lighters

Completely different topic, but what the hell is going on with the weather?? It's been raining almost non stop for days! And looking at the weather for sunday, the whole country is drenched in rain, I hope those people further north are ok, they're already badly flooded. Who said it was summer anyway?

Last thing, Doctor Who!! Wow, that was just amazing. And the ending! I just laughed at that I think the christmas special is going to be good.

Now that i've finished my coursework though, which was what was keeping me from doing anything other than working or sleeping pretty much, i'm like a completely new worry free person! It was such a great feeling last wednesday to finally hand in my score and composing process for music, and my final ict project. Now I just have to pass the exams.

I wont bore you anymore with other life stuff, and I probably wont remember anything (If you really want to know, see my LJ as i've mentioned before).

Oh, saw spiderman 3 on sat! What a laugh that was XD. The film was a bit long but when he went evil/emo it was hilarious. Overall it was pretty good though.

I just know how to make things difficult for myself don't i? Blumin hec. It's half term, and in this week i've got to finish 2 final pieces for art, finish my IT which was in last friday, and possibly revise for science. Like i'll get time for that. My final pieces in art consist of two A2 pieces of work - one being done on photoshop with portraits of my family, and the other being done in pencil with portraits of lotr characters. That last one has been changed to half the size because it would have been immpossible otherwise.

On a good note, Torchwood is on tonight!!! 1hour to go, can't wait! ooh and my laptop now has internet, woo.

I think i am getting rid of the nickname (courtesy of my sister) "last minute Davis" at last, i'm actually doing work on time! This new found enthusiasm towards working doesn't count english or science though, coincidently, they're the subjects i have overdue coursework to hand in.

And again, i'm announcing my departure from england for the next two weeks to Barbados! Hopefully the weather will be slightly better than here But seriously, i woke up at 6am because the rain was just dumping down, though my roof does make everything sound a lot louder (it's a bit like a caravan roof).

I think when we go away there's going to be leaks. That happened before, but this time i don't mean roof leaks. The new bathroom that me Dad's just fitted? the sink leaks, the shower leaks and the toilet leaks a tiny bit. Also, the microwave started dripping this curious brown liquid - melted rust anyone?

I have an absolute ton of things i need to do, and i need two art design sheet thingys done by friday. Oh and don't forget the maths coursework...gah. How difficult can it be to find data on the internet?

I was messing about with my camera the other day, and took some pictures of my dalek . I'll get it up someday, but i need to install the software and the usb port to plug the camera in is right round the back of the computer. Who ever designed it needs to be fired.

Yesterday, i went to Fort Nelson, and i actually shot a bow and arrow! And i didn't miss the target I've wanted to do that for ages. Later on, they were shooting onions and melons with catapolts, and on the last go the rope snapped and the melon went shooting back in to the audience! Oh that was really funny, luckily no one got hurt.
