Edit: 081006 TOP 10 SIGNS YOU ARE A FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIAN

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

Out to kill the postal office.

I'd sent two art pieces for someone very deserving of it..only to discover that the sent "parcel" had gotten lost during delivery. Go figure, things touched by my hands only end up in a dirty, dirty place. I've to re-draw them..hopefully they won't get lost this time. And I'll stick on a return address as well.

Out on another creativity slump.

I've been re-experiencing feelings of loneliness and belittlement. Yet again/As usual. It's not so much of the self-disparaging case but more of the unappreciated and seemingly forgotten fractions of my being that are really taking the hits this incredibly lovely time. I feel as if I'm slowly forgetting what it's like to have a friend who likes you so much that he/she knows you backwards as well as all-around. I've never been great keeping buddies that I'm mutually fond of, and especially during summer does the reality sink in that they aren't going to be buddies anymore by the time school starts. I suppose I'll end the self-pitying before it morphs into some sort of self-insulting rant that I usually wave around.
Anyhow, the creativity's been lacking as I had already mentioned. I previously found myself inspired by aquatic creatures/marine animals but that inspiration had quickly been put out. I had an especially wonderful concept to present a human illustration of the lionfish--but surely enough I didn't feel passionate enough about the idea and dropped that as if it had weighed a ton. Thoughts for a certain personally-well-loved character of mine had also surfaced around the time the aforementioned idea had burnt out, but only one of the four designs was created into a 20-minute droodle. I've also still an entire list of projects I've been meaning to complete..and that had been set up over half a year ago. As sad as it is, not one has been completed nor started. Not one of it is really too difficult of a feat to finish either, and that fact really smacks disappointment into my pencil and my paper.
At last, as events have it, I am not even inspired enought to really write everything out here--how fortunate for the lot of you. I'm going to try to call someone now.
Note: Call failed. I should know better than to interrupt a movie session.

Let me tell you, this is my 3rd "other" convention, right after AnimeNEXT and ComicCon, yet in all this is my 5th. And let me say that this is an extremely pleasant 5th that some others may not have experienced. Now let's skip this damn introduction before I forget what I was going to write ='P

Friday: (Note: some of this might be in wrong chronological order xO d'oh on JL.)
The first day was most particularly interesting because we had to travel up to Conneticut from Jersey. So after a 5-hour trip Stacey, ~fadingtwilight0 and I finally arrive into the parking lot of the convention center.. At first we were confused because it didn't seem like anyone was there. Then we saw a Momiji cosplayer, who was very good might I add, on her way into the building. I was elated. Anyhoo, upon entering the building ~fadingtwilight0 and I immediately took note of the impressive..area. It had a comely appearance and I found myself comfortable right away. My parents directed us to a line to get our badges and as we were walking, I found myself amused by a Sim cosplayer and a gal with a DollZone dollfie. After a few minutes, we found out that we were in the wrong line >_< Dammitall. But I guess it was okay, because we were actually behind a group of EXCELLENT Furuba/Fruits Basket cosplayers. The Hatori was really cute but uh, now I'm getting off topic haha. xD; So, um, continuing on.. Everything else was uneventful until we found Artist Colony. There I found my buddy running PopCult Anime and Leanne Peacey, whom we each spent $10 on for Zombie chibis.. I started the whole zombie thing, hurhurhurrr. Then afterwards, we decided to backtrack along ArtCol until the man standing by the second table called out to us. He began pointing at the prints placed out on the table and explained a few of them. I found myself interested and asked how much a commission..then he said he wasn't the artist BARG! But all was fine, since he decided to talk a bit about her. After listening for a few minutes I found her personality to be incredibly adorable and decided that I'll have to ask about commissions later. So, walking along, walking along..after a bit, we found that the dealer's room was open so we decided to check it out. And HOLY freaking CRAP, Miss Marty Alice LeGrow was there! (And she was wearing a really cute skirt godDARN.) O_O I just about died inside my head. I said some stupid things to her that I hope she doesn't think I'm too weird, but nonetheless I got her to sign my Bizenghast book and even drew a cute little Edaniel in 'ere.. Life can be good, pals. We even stuck around to chat with her a bit and we got a picture with her that she's going to send to me just as long as I remind her. xD; I was surprised how comfortable she seemed to talk to us--she spoke very casually and I felt dumb for being so tense just a few moments before. It was a nice experience listening to her talk about the whole fishsticks joke and about her eating hotdogs, looking over the pictures and video on her camera, and then just discussing Bizenghast in general. Needless to say, I was a happy little marshmallow =]. A bit afterwards, we found Rob who we caught was cosplaying Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club..but HERE, he was cosplaying Raito. *_* He was honestly rather fitting for Raito as well. ~fadingtwilight0 I could tell was satisfied. After our "see you later"s we continued to stroll along the dealer's room and holy POOP I saw that Michael (credited for VG Cats) had his own table there! @_@ He was swamped so I decided to check him later.. He was pretty adorable, he looked happy and was all smiley and stuff. =3 So, anyway, back to ArtCol. THE GIRL WAS THERE OMGOSHEXCITEMENT! xD; Sorry. Well, her name is Jenny Bannock and after chatting a bit, I found myself fond of the gal so Aisha and I decided to commission her. She said she'd get them done either that day or the next, so the three of us decided to leave her be so that we may be surprised later. So then after wandering a bit, we found the line to the Cosplay Dating Game (which could be considered incredibly short as opposed to AnimeNEXT's lines) and joined in. About 30 minutes later, we took our good seats and waited for it to begin. K, the "introducer", (also caught her at AnimeNEXT x3) was entertaining the lot of us as she introduced everyone for the first round. Lady number 1 was Lirin from Gensomaden Saiyuki; Lady 2 was Rip Van Winkle from Hellsing; "Lady" 3 was Shuichi from Gravitation; Lady 4 was Ayeka from Tenchi Muyo. The bachelor was described as "the all-time angst magnet. His hobbies are leveling up.." and other things that were TOTALLY obvious. The bachelor was Cloud! [insert crazy crowd roaring and cheering] The whole thing seemed to be more of incredible improv, most of the...

Well, first off, I'm simply just gonna say that all of you did a SPLENDID job on what you did, and please know now that I KNOW that I will probably never be able to do any better. You've all basically caught the gist of the rules I laid down, and put them to mind. I'm very happy for that.
I am disappointed, however, that 6 of the 11 contestants had to withdraw. But I suppose I shouldn't complain, since it was VERY difficult picking just one winner out of the 5!
And so, the places go:

5th place: ~snowwolf101
4th place: ~WanderingKenshin
3rd place: ~Golden-Anubis
2nd place: ~Kaze-no-Tabibito
1st place: *deepforest

If you're curious to know how the judging went, then please feel free to ask. To be honest, I thought about posting why or why not the contestants have recieved the places that they are in, but... that has potential to become cataclysmic. So if you really want to know, feel free to just comment or note me on why you got into your current place.

MOVING ALONG, congratulations to ~Kaze-no-Tabibito and *deepforest!
Kaze-no-Tabibito: Seeing as how you were runner-up with such an AMAZING coloring job, I felt it would be nice that you get a little something out of that wonderful work you did. I will grant you a free request of a bust-shot of an original character of yours, or an anime character you're particularly fond of. If you don't want this or aren't interesting in a drawing, then I can easily sum up some money for you.
deepforest: This probably isn't much of a surprise to you (I don't really think it should be) but once again, your coloring just knocked me off my chair. You honestly did a WONDERFUL job, and I am really just SO fond of how you colored the picture. Congratulations on first place! As a winner, you are welcome to request a picture from me, and you have the choice of having a single-person or two-person picture, full-bodied. You're welcome to request your own character, an already-publicized character (from games/anime/etc.) or just about anything requiring people. Heck, you're free to request shounen-ai between Sora and Riku if you want, since I've noticed how you like those two.
~Please note that I will not do nude pictures and that I am perfectly fine with having to produce a blood-themed drawing. And for the two that have been previously mentioned, feel free to address whether or not you want the drawing colored or inked. Mind you, I am not as wonderful at coloring as you both are.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, NONE OF THE JUDGINGS HAVE BEEN BIASED. IT DIDN'T MATTER HOW MUCH LONGER I KNEW ABOUT YOU, OR HOW MUCH CLOSER WE ARE AS FRIENDS. I JUDGED EVERYONE EQUALLY. IF YOU STILL FEEL THE NEED TO COMPLAIN TO ME, THEN DON'T, BECAUSE I WILL IGNORE YOU.

Thank you for joining!

--CONTEST INFORMATION--

1. It's a COLORING contest. There are no such requirements as re-sketching, tracing, copying, etc. You must COLORRRR!
2. You must NOT alter or remove lines. You may ADD lines, for example, you can add a design to a shirt or something. Be creative, that's why I left most of the clothing plain.
3. If it gets in the way, you're welcome to remove my name from it's corner. HOWEVER, it is best that you leave some trace of my name in there somewhere, stick it in somewhere hidden.
4. Backgrounds give you bonus points.
5. BE CREATIVE! Don't be afraid to make it look interesting! Make it look like a magazine cover, make it look like some kind of advertisement! The only kind of advertisement not allowed is for an iPod. IT'S UNIMPRESSIVE TO JUST SHADOW UP THE FIGURES AND SELECT A RANDOM-COLORED BACKGROUND. Black, white, and gray images are not allowed either
6. REMEMBER that I am only looking for how nicely colored it is. I'm looking forward to how glossy hair looks, to how nicely toned skin is, and the shades in their clothing. Guessing or asking for accurate colors won't do much, JUST COLOR WHAT YOU CAN IMAGINE. Make it crazy if you like.
7. If you'd like to know, you get a colored picture from yours truly if you win. Of course, you decide what I draw. If you decide you don't like my art but enter anyway and win, then I will fix something up for you like prize money, even.

Notes: Just do your best and have fun with it! I personally don't care if you make green skin combined with purple hair and throw on some bright neon makeup, all the more interesting anyway.
ALSO, when you have completed your entry, note me and I will immediately take notice of it. I won't be judging until the end of January.
Another thing is that if it is needed, I will extend the deadline. But that is only if you provide me with your reasons of lacking punctuality for this. For example, if your reason is that you have been out of state or country or whatever, then I will accept it. If you say that it's because you merely forgot about it, then I will find that reason invalid and boot you out.
I also must apologize for the shaky lines. I did my best, and you're welcome to work off the horrible lines but it's not required. Just do your stuff and color!

--CONTEST ENDS JANUARY 31st--
Today is December 11th where I am. Contest ends at the end of January as I had mentioned twice or so, therefore I am giving you over a month's time. Please make your best of it.
EDIT BEGINS NOW
January 29th would be the date that you see if you are where I am, or perhaps relatively close to where I am. Please now know that although I have had over a month's time for every contestant to color, there have been late entries to the contest and apparently have had to go through exams for school. I also have gone through exams as well, so the announcement of more recent contestants was rather unexpected and I am now granting one more week to color. Therefore, contest ends at February 7th. And please remember that all entries must be submitted as deviations for easier judging. Thank you, and good luck once again!
SECOND EDIT BEGINS NOW
Today is February 7th, end of my coloring contest. I ask that everyone please finish coloring/scanning/submitting their entry so that the judging can begin. Unless you're suffering a problem similar to lack of internet connection, then you must submit it by midnight tonight, but since you're reading this now, I trust your internet is working well. Please tell if you were unable to finish so you can withdraw your entry.

Been a long time since I had a song lyric for my subject title.

I've been asked a big question multiple times recently...
What do you want for Christmas, JayEll?
Many different things, my friends. Many different things.
1. To begin with, I'd really like from prints from multiple artists.
[x] ©suzi9mm. What a God.
[x] =azuzephre. I have a crush on him.
[x] *sashamya. I've always loved furry art, what are you talking about?
2. And I've been losing up on my music. I'm into so many different bands, but I don't own much from them at all. It'd be nice to finally nice to own some of the music I've infatuated myself with.
[x] A Fever You Can't Sweat Out -Panic! At the Disco
[x] From Under the Cork Tree -Fall Out Boy
[x] Any CD in general. -Papa Roach
[x] Any CD in general./The Best Of -Marilyn Manson
[x] Mezmerize -System of a Down
3. There's a movie I've become obsessed with very quickly.
[x] DVD -10 Things I Hate About You (Heath Ledger looks DAMN sexy in this.)
4. I've been losing up on my manga just as bad as my music.
[x] Yami no Matsuei/Descendants of Darkness (4 to --)
[x] Angel Sanctuary (6, 8 to --)
[x] FAKE (4 to 7)
5. Clothes.
[x] Those gorgeous pinstriped converses you find in Hot Topic.
--eDiT begins HERE--
6. MAUI/JISUK CHO..We all know how obsessed I am. You can find the stuff on cafepress.com...or just look at his DA site and then look for the link. BY THE WAY YOU MUST DARE NOT TO PURCHASE ME ANY PRINTS OR POSTERS FROM JISUK. THAT BUSINESS IS STRICTLY MY OWN. THAT, AND THIS IS ALREADY TOO LONG OF A DAMN LIST.
[x] Andy Volume One & Two $7.99 each
[x] Messenger Bag featuring Georgetti Ristorante $20.99
[x] Girls Hoodie (Black and White) featuring Boulevard $28.99 (I don't know the right size for me yet.)
[x] Women's Raglan Hoodie (Black and White) featuring Georgetti Ristorante $28.99 (Don't know the correct size yet.)
--eDiT ends HERE--

^So that's MY Christmas List. Where's yours?
Edit--> Gosh I'm expensive.

EDIT, PLEASE: NOVEMBER 23
Okay, I'm not really holding a contest right now, but I'm wondering if I should. I wanna plan a coloring contest, because pretty soon I intend on posting up a new picture (finally, damn you JL!) I'm thinking because I don't know how the colors will be, why not let my fellow buddies have a stab at it? I didn't come up with a prize yet, I'm just exploring ideas.
So, the real question right now is... Would you participate?
