Sorry I haven't been on lately. A lot has happened, I lost three pets and almost contracted pneumonia. Working on a piece right now to commemorate my boxer Harley and two beta's Gadzooks and Rizo. I miss them!

Now some exciting news, my Ad Design II class was canceled before the semester started (not enough people signed up) but it was brought back because many of us needed it to graduate next semester. Well a cool thing happened on top of this good news...those of us in the class have an actual client! They are a grocery store that wants to expand into a more modern setting (their old chain looks like it's from the 80's) and are giving a $1500 prize to the winner with the best design. We where asked to design a logo, Bakery/Deli, Produce and Beer/Wine departments. Giving us full control over fronts, signage, color palette and materials. We are told not to worry about cost.

Grade wise we have to think outside the box (or we fail the class) and I chose and 'Old World Charm' Marketplace Tuscan theme. I will update with ideas here and there, any input would be very much appreciated!! I am focusing on the Bakery, Produce and Winery departments.

And at the rate my Wed Design class is going I may have a website up by December!

I've been real busy with training sessions, teeth and visiting family lately. This weekend is my vacation with my family and best friend, Yays! Gotta love roller coasters and water parks! ^_^

My new puppy has doubled in size! And he is soooo cute, I will upload some pics soon! :3

I'm working on several pieces at one time, so I should have some stuff up any day. Bookmarks are on hold, I just don't have time to do free gifts right now. Experimenting with a new style, lots of shading and color, but still pretty minimalistic...almost sketch like.

It was very different from the book but the outcome is still the same. I would advise anyone from bashing it until you have seen it...reading reviews doesn't count.

I myself believe in God (but not with the label of 'religion' which is very suggestive and easily stereotyped) and this movie does not bash religion. It simply poses can science exist without God. And why can religion and God not exist together...who the hell ordained science the absence of God? And why cannot religion involve science? These are just some of the questions that I myself ask. XD

I have a very serious philosophical side, I rarely bring it to the web and I never bash others beliefs. If you believe the movie and books are evil than that's ok. If you believe the movies and books are incredible and do not believe in God then that's ok too. If you don't care then that's also ok.

The movie was slam packed with action and intrigue. There's lot's of murder and races against time. And the ending...phew that was unexpected! I loved the movie!

I say everyone old enough should go see it! If nothing else it's a time killer (long movie).

Well that's my ramble for tonight I hope I didn't write anything that offended, if I did then I'm sorry...but I won't change anything.

How is everyone? I stopped by maybe twice this week and saw some people are returning for the summer, I can't wait till your back on guys!

Also a funny thing happened...I ran over my phone. You may laugh, may parents sure did. I was visiting my mom and siblings last weekend and it must have fallen out of my pocket when I was cleaning my car. Well I ran over it and it's destroyed. I liked that phone a lot too, so anyone know of some good dependable phones?

I won't lie, I have not been on. I finally glanced on DA last night after I finished my project early in class. I see a butt load of messages and file full of deviations. (apparently all of you have been on a lot ^_^) I can't look at everything right now, I just wanted to let everyone know I have not dropped off the face of the earth. I also remember the bookmarks so don't worry about that, they should be done within the month. I need everyone that wants the actual piece mailed (laminated with a charm) to note me their address (DO NOT post it on the main page as everyone will be able to read it.)

How has everyone been?! Anything new happening? Anything you want me to see?

My family recently adopted a Boxer named Harley, he is the sweetest animal I have ever met. Never barks, is always leaning in to you for a hug, loves strangers and riding in cars and...has absolutely no personal boundaries. Lol, he will fallow you into the shower if you don't close the door! He also thinks he's small so he tries to crawl in your lap all the time.

And my father, sister and I are getting a 6 week old Miniature, Long Haired, Brown-Tipped Dappled Dachshund this Friday! I will be sure to post pics of him soon, we are naming him 'Blue.' :3

Also I have been playing 'Broken Sword' and ' Pokemon Platinum' for the DS. Both are very good and I recommend them. ^^

I can't do it, I just can't do them all again. I'm really sorry. I start them and, well, you know when you give it your all and then something happens and you can't get it right again? I don't have the time to do large scale like I was. However...I don't ever want to drop a gift I have offered. I would feel absolutely terrible. So I am making 2x7 bookmarks. You have all the right to be mad at me, I just hope you accept these free gifts.

But I have some bad news, my computers been wiped clean and I have no idea how it happened. I have no more art on it. The only files left are the ones here on DA and my physical copies for rights purposes. Even my grandmothers birthday gift is gone.

I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and becasue of that I am also pre-diabetic. Which explains my weight gain and not being able to lose it. There is no treatment for PCOS and later on in life I have a very high chance of developing Uterine Cancer, but if I keep it in check I should be fine.
What amazes me is that because of that lump (which dissapeared after going there) I was able to find and treat problems I didn't even know I had! That's a miracle if I ever heard of one. ^^

I should have some work up soon from class when the projects from the gallery are switched out. Plus im working on a Halloween deviation!

Now to the reason why I have not been on lately...

I have been going to the hospital for the past month, running blood test's going through x-rays and other such mess because I found a lump. I won't find out if it's Breast Cancer (or one of many other things that could be wrong) until Friday the 24th. The doctors are also worried about other things they found wrong with my body, and I know for a fact that I will have to have surgery. It's not life threatening though so they said I could wait until summer time so I could heal. I was worried earlier, but im not now. I just feel like everything will be ok. There are lot's of positive signs that it's not cancer! ^^ I would really appreciate any prayers from everyone or advice from anyone who has been through this.

But please don't worry about me or let this bother you, I just had to get this off my chest. I will be ok, I never push my beliefs on other but I believe in God and I believe in miracles. Wishfull thinking...maybe, but I have seen amazing things happen and I believe that everything will work out in the end.

A bonus though, to reglate that monthly cycle (every woman knows what im talking about) I get to take birth control pills!? Lol, it's hilarious when taking them becasue I have never/am not sexually active and people give me a weird look.

Ugh I am so sorry I have not been on at all lately. Im not exagerating (that spelled right? O.o) when I say that I am putting in 40+ hours of homework. Photography, Drawing, Type Design(lettering by hand), and Computor Graphics 2 are very dificult classes to take. But for insurance reasons, (some of you will know what im talking about when you get older) I need the hours. -_-

But I have 3 pieces back from class. Just some studies in charcoal. I should have photos of them up soon, there too big (19x24) to scan. I wish I had time to practice more on my digital painting, but traditional works just as good.

Anything new happening? I feel really bad about not being on here, some of you have known me for years. Just wanted to let you know I have NOT left DA. And I care about you and your artwork. So please, if anyone wants me to look at anything specific, just send me a link.

Well I said I use it all the time in class...why? He baught the program for me!! *squeee*
So now I will be able to make pretty art again! My free programs are pretty much shot, don't know what happened to them. O.o :3 I have so many new ideas!
And I will try my best to be on as much as possible, but my schedule this semester includes 4 (lab) classes, meaning not much talking and lots of projects.
And some photography may be up soon! I have to get a camera for class, and you know me, gotta put stuff on DA. ^_^

There's a cool site you can visit where you paint with diferant brushes and colors (very minimal colors) and when your done, it play's back your whole art session! You can fastforward, rewind, speed up and slow down the video. I love it!

Well this is the first time I have ever done anything like this, and I have to say it's rather relaxing. And pretty cool to watch all the steps to your painting. :3

XD I am working on the chibis right now, and practicing other drawings on the side. ^_^ I need to get back in the groove. And Nomi, I have the Trace Memory drawing scanned in, im working on painting that as well.

Im going to start doing more Fan Art, mostly Lion King and Balto. Plus some older television stuff that some of my younger Watchers may not remeber. But that's a surprise.

But no artwork...I don't know what's going on lately, but I have managed to hurt myself again! What did genious here do, you may ask? Well, she went and fell on her arm...her right (drawing) arm. Nothing broken, thank goodness, or I would be soooo screwed when school started back up. I even had a hard time driving back home. I dislocated my shoulder and pulled my lower arm muscle...no real wrist movement *crazy laugh*!

I can't say how sorry I am to everyone for not being able to finish your gifts in a timely fashion. If you want to blast me, feel free. -_- In about two weeks, with some physical therapy, I will finish them all up.

I know how hard it is to balance eveything and just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took time out of there day to comment on my work or send me cool stuff! You guys rock!

I am currently at a point in my artwork were I am finally semi-content with the way it comes out. Graphic Design classes are really helping! (with the Illustrator works atleast XD) Getting A's and B's...so far so good. :3

Mysteries...especially murder ones, are hard to do because you have to write them from the end to the begining. after you have finished the story you create a plot and characters. There personalitiesm cloths, nationalities, race, religion...etc.

Phew...that is a whole lot of work to do in my spare time. o.o

Luckily I have help from a special source! You know who you are...thank you!

In the mean time I have started drawing detailed characters...adding there personalities and stories after each is introduced in a chapter. Wish me luck! ^_^

Buuuttt...Things are looking better. ^^ Im enrolled in a new college and state. Im going in to be a certified Graphic Artist by the age of 20...very nice.

Im currently working on several pieces and Im almost done with another chapter of my story, and I have also finished some drawings but Im waiting till I have my graphics tablet to put anything up.

Well to get back on track on DA...Happy Birthday to some of you, Merry belated Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone else. ^_^

I have hundreds of deviations to look at and Im going to try my best to comment on them all, so be patient. And congrats to on the new avatart!! (its the one I voted for -_0) It looks so cute.

Im not going to let this stop me!

Im a fighter, I always have been. Im going to look for a school in my Dads town and maybe even a nice job at Barnes&Noble. ^^

I'll have more time to relax, maybe go to some therapy, and devote some time to my story and artwork.

Sorry for just...throwing this out. But it feels better to be honest with myself and my friends. Because I think about everyone here as a friend. Some of you I have known for over a year!

Please pray for me and my family. In making the decision to help myself, I hurt the other side of my family very much.

As some of you may know, and most probably don't...I am taking a double major (Forensic Anthropalogy and Art) So this story is going to have illustrations to go with it, character designs and some cool Forensic facts! It's the best of both worlds! ^_^
yes I know im strange...

But I think this story is actually going to be fun! It got Drama, Horror, Mystery, Murder and Comedy all wrapped into one! I can't wait to start working out the other chapters (tough but fun).

*on a completley random note-
Who is having a birthday soon? Anyone have one coming up before the end of the year?

I would very much appreciate it if everyone who comments would also either send a note or post when there birthday is (anytime of the year) so I can write it down and work towards b-day gifts (before) the actual big day arrives.

I can give a few hints to peak your curiosity...

1. It's about a murder
2. It takes place during the winter in a mountain lodge/inn.
3. My sister and me are who the main, and supporting character, are based on.

As I progress I will make character study sheets (I plan on having illustrations to go along with the story.) And, as I commented in the Jenna Bain deviation [link] , if enough people are interested in this I will post a preface or something describing the story later on.

The first chapter will not be posted until late fall/early winter (due to the large amount of work that goes into creating this kind of story).

How has everybody been? Sorry I was gone so long but like I said before, I don't have the internet, so I have to use the school. And My second year of College starts today!
I have 2 new deviations...I didn't draw much this past 2 months. I may not get them up today, I have soooooo many messages to check...ugh >>

Gues what I did this summer...Disney World!!!! I LOVED it, me and my sister :iconbenathornicon: were inspired to continue with artwork. It really was incredible; we were in a parade in the Magic Kingdom our first day! Then MGM Studios...we saw the Fantasma show and I rode the Tower Of Terror (forced my sister to go on...elevators are her worst fear, mwahahaha!!!) And on the last day we went to Animal Kingdom, it was so cool. Then in the middle of the day there was a BAD thunderstorm and half the people in the park went home. So it was pretty much dead and we wrode the Everest ride TWICE in a row!! That is the most awsome ride in all the parks!

So what did everyone do this summer? Anything new going on. ^^

I am very sorry (again) for not being on very much. I have been working every day for the past three weeks at the store. Since gas prices have gone up I can't drive for 30 min. to the nearest library (If some of you didn't know...I don't have a computor at home) so I have to travel to get on one. And the library only allows you one hour so...unfortunatley until school starts back up again, I can't really be on DA.

I am very sorry...I wish I could be on more. I had to really rush over here during my break (30 min) to atleast leave this journal. It has been eating me up that I keep leaving averyone hanging. Because a lot of you talked to me every day almost.

On a cheerful note...
Erin, I will be coming down to visit this summer for a week with my sister and dad. So I look forward to seeing you! I will call or e-mail you to let you know exact dates. ^_^

I wish everyone luck. I will try very hard to pop in every now and again this summer. I have skimmed through messages and answered a few...but not all. I will be in on Tuesday afternoon to look through the rest and to look at all of your wonderful deviations.

I recently lost my uncle Ed. School has not been open for the past week so I havn't had a computor to log on to.

I have NOT been ignoring all of my DA friends, I would never do that. I just want to say sorry to anyone who tried to reach me, but couldn't.

I just wanted to update a few things...

There are only 2 weeks left until my first year of college is finished! Now I can transfer to Western Carolina University and major in Forensic Anthropology!
