I went to Chicago rather recently, as you may have gathered from my most recent work. It was great. I went with my girlfriend (which I just struggled mightily to spell... it's been a while), and two friends, Patrick and Chrissy. The trip started slowly and sleepily at approximately 5:30 in the AM in Amherst, MA. By the time we made it to the Mass Pike, it was already getting to be light out. High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging in photography is the process of combining multiple images of differing exposures (shutter speed changes) to create a composite image with detail in all areas of the image. An HDR image starts out as a 32-bit image, but because your monitor is not equipped to display this amount of information, we must use "local adaptation" to pick and choose which parts of the final image come from which exposure. I've had a sudden resurgence of interest in HDR (High Dynamic Range) images. I got my hands on Photomatix, and I've been going through my old HDR stuff and redoing it using that. The results are waaaay better than I could have ever achieved with Photoshop alone, and on top of that, my post-processing techniques have improved since I made a few of them. Anyway, if you're following me this closely, look for those to be up a little later today.

Well maybe I'll get into it a little.  This is just one of the problems.  I couldn't get into art foundations (a pre-req for any art/anything I'm interested in courses at my school) until it was too late, and at that point, I figured it was pointless.  So, I couldn't take any courses in digital media or photography, and to top it all off, there's no photography club.  So yeah...
