Yay it's my long weekend which means i get Saturday, Sunday and Monday off, woohoo! Soo, lots of time down the local watering hole watching the football and, time for photography.

Some of you know that i broken my left elbow earlier this year, May to be exact. Well, it's still pretty sore but it's coming on fine. Still can't quite straighten my arm yet but it's only 10-15 degrees out so not too bad. Got some pics on my mobile of me with it in the cast which i might post later, hey yay or nay?

I've had a great week on DA and some really great comments. I'm trying to CSS up my jounal at sometime to link better to other Deviants but till then this will do. Jesus, my lack of skill in this field is astounding. Light wind and forgetting my tripod plate doesn't help either.

Not an easy lens to use though. Great at portraits also with the VR/IS, but i definately need some focusing rails for the tripod to assist in extreme closeups.

My arms recovering well and i can actually use my cams now so hopefully will have more stuff up on here soon. Don't hold your breath though, they'll be once in a while, like a fine wine you know?

I tried to use both my slr's the other day and my left arm can't reach the zoom and focus rings which is really frustrating. Patience is what i require but don't have.

So what have i been up to while convalessing? Mainly learning Capture NX2 and Photoshop CS3, watching DvD's and the old Xbox 360 has had a good work out as well.

If you use the Firefox browser (if not, why not?) there is a great addon for it called Piclens. It's compatible with deviant art and is active when you are in someone's gallery or on the Deviant home page.

Right, what does it do i hear you ask? basically, when you hover your mouse over an image thumbnail, a play icon 1> appears. If you click on it, a scrollable, zoomable wall of images appear making navigation simpler, try it
