She then stood me up and smiled, wiping the tears from my eyes, and lightly kissed me on the cheek. She hugged me and rubbed my back, and said "Have a good life, for me. See you in the after life, kid." she then gave me another kiss on the forehead, and walked off, into a beautiful sunset. Another tear came to my eye, and even know it's still there. I was right.

For a while I had been sensing that my girlfriend, Christina, wasn't happy with our relationship.... and I was dead on. She was hurting inside, as I was, because we could never hold and comfort each other when we needed each other.... So she felt it would be best if we both moved on.

But this isn't the end. we still have something between us, something that we can never loose. I still love her, and I always will. I love her enough that I will let her go. I just hope, one day... That she will come back to me. If and when that day comes, I will still have a place in my heart for her.

well, i'm home now. i'm still a bit tired from the anesthetics, so i'm going to be a bit sluggish in my reactions until tomorrow... and my head hurts a bit.

so far i don't notice any difference, but i think i just need to give it some time.

also, there was a bit more to the surgery than i knew of before hand. while i was under, they not only expanded my sinuses, but they also cleared out some crud that was stuck in there too. apparently they removed some polyps, which caused some bleeding, but not much. i was getting some blood when i moved and such at first, but it seems to have stopped.

also, from the time they got me down to the OR to the time that i felt good enough to get out and go home, i had an IV in to keep me hydrated. i hadn't eaten or had anything to drink since last night, because they tell you not to eat with an intravenous anesthetic.

now i need to use the bathroom every 20 minutes because i'm hyper-hydrated.

after we got to the hospital and got into my room, i had to put on one of those gowns that are open in the back. unfortunately, i had to wear only that, because they apparently are afraid that electricity from the equipment in the OR would arc through synthetic materials in cloths such as nylon and polyester. and even though my underwear was %100 percent natural cotton, i had to get rid of it.

anyway, after that, i met the nurse, who explained part of what would happen when i got down to the OR. later, someone came with a stretcher to wheel me down to the OR. when we got down there [and by 'we' i mean me and my parents, who followed], i saw a couple of tool chests like you would see in a garage, so i said 'hey, i thought this was the OR, not the garage!'

after that we met the anesthesiologist, who introduced my IV, and explained what woulds happen.

after the IV was in, they also introduced a shot of something to get me a bit sleepy, and they rolled me into the room where i would be prepped and where the operation itself would take place. they put three electrodes on my chest, and Pulse-Ox meter on my finger. [a Pulse-Ox meter measures your pulse and oxygen levels in the blood. but i'm sure you all could figure it out anyway.]

then they gave me an oxygen mask, and at some point the anesthetic and i feel asleep, but i don't remember that.

now for what i was told happened after that.

after i was out, they put a breathing tube down my throat to control my breathing and keep stuff from draining into my lungs, since i wasn't awake to swallow it. [my throat is a bit sore from the tube, which was in for about 2 hours, the length of the operation.]

then i believe they cleared out the crud and then expanded the sinuses. after that they moved me to recovery.

i think i woke up shortly after that, because they told me that they would check my blood pressure and heart rate every 15 minutes, and i remember the nurse checking it 3 times, and apparently i was there for an hour.

at first, when i woke up, my mind came back rather quickly, but i could only open my right eye some. [not that i could see, my mom had taken my glasses before they sent me in.] after a minute or two, i could speak, and move my one arm enough to scratch my nose. after they checked my vitals the last time, they removed the electrodes from my chest and rolled my back up to my room.

after i got up there, they had me slowly shift to a bed, which wasn't too hard, since i was a little more awake. i still kinda felt like i had on lead weights, though.

i just relaxed for a while, watched some TV, listened to my iPod Nano, and slept. they also checked my heart rate every 15 minutes again. i think i was there about two hours. i also drank some water, which helped with my sore throat, and ate some cookies my mom brought for me. [my parents have been nice for the past couple of days. they made the cookies for me last night, after dinner, which was meat-loaf. the night before they bought me fish.]

for a while i just sat there and enjoyed that i didn't have to do anything at all, and just sat there trying heal myself a little faster using some energy i had stored in a quartz crystal i had brought, and by using some energy from my watch. but not too much from the watch, i didn't want to kill it.

after about 2 hours, i was starting to feel good enough to go home and sleep. and now i'm home.... but i'm not really feeling like sleeping. my headache feels a little bit worse, but not too bad. please bear with me for a couple days, because i'm not going to be much better for a while.

right now i'm just sitting on the couch with my laptop, watching TV, gonna reply to comments... maybe go on dAmn.

wow... that was long... and only took about an hour and a half.

it's 21:30 now. i'm getting showered, into bed, waking up early. we have to be at the hospital at 06:30. then we'll meet the anesthesiologist, who will explain what's going on, get prepared for surgery, which will start around 08:00, and last about 2 hours.

afterwards, i'll be in recovery for a bit, and probably will go home shortly after. and i may be in some pain for a few days after, and might just sleep around.

now i'll try to simply explain the surgery, and why i need it.

my sinuses are very cramped, like a baby's. they didn't expand as i grew, so airflow is limited. this has caused a great many sinus infections.

the surgery will clear this up.

after i'm asleep, they will put balloon-like sacs up into my sinuses and inflate them, expanding the sinuses. this should increase airflow, and decrease infections.

if it does hold, it may be permanent.

also, i might sound different afterwards, because playing with the sinuses can do that. [like if you have a stuffy nose, and you can hear the difference.]

i'm a bit nervous about being under anesthetics though..... mostly because it may have the opposite affect... and make me hyper. [like caffeine and sugar make me tired....]
